1. అననీయ అను ఒక మనుష్యుడు తన భార్యయైన సప్పీరాతో ఏకమై పొలమమ్మెను.

1. But, a certain man, Ananias by name, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

2. భార్య యెరుకనే వాడు దాని వెలలో కొంత దాచుకొని కొంత తెచ్చి అపొస్తలుల పాదములయొద్ద పెట్టెను.

2. And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it; and, bringing a certain part, at the feet of the Apostles, he laid it.

3. అప్పుడు పేతురు అననీయా, నీ భూమి వెలలో కొంత దాచుకొని పరి శుద్ధాత్మను మోసపుచ్చుటకు సాతాను ఎందుకు నీ హృదయమును ప్రేరేపించెను. ?

3. But Peter said Ananias! wherefore did Satan fill thy heart, that thou shouldst deal falsely with the Holy Spirit, and keep back part of the price of the field?

4. అది నీయొద్ద నున్నపుడు నీదే గదా? అమ్మిన పిమ్మట అది నీ వశమై యుండలేదా? యెందుకు ఈ సంగతి నీ హృదయములో ఉద్దేశించు కొన్నావు? నీవు మనుష్యులతో కాదు దేవునితోనే అబద్ధమాడితివని వానితో చెప్పెను.

4. While it remained, was it not, as thine own, it remained? and, when sold, was it not, in thine own authority, that it still continued? Why was it that thou didst contrive in thy heart this deed? Thou hast not dealt falsely with men but, with God.

5. అననీయ యీ మాటలు వినుచునే పడి ప్రాణము విడువగా వినినవారి కందరికిని మిగుల భయము కలిగెను;

5. And, as Ananias heard these words, he fell, and expired. And there came great fear upon all that heard;

6. అప్పుడు పడుచు వారు లేచి వానిని బట్టతో చుట్టి మోసికొనిపోయి పాతిపెట్టిరి.

6. But the young men, rising up, wrapped him about, and, bearing him forth, buried him.

7. ఇంచుమించు మూడు గంటల సేపటికి వానిభార్య జరిగినది యెరుగక లోపలికి వచ్చెను.

7. And it came to pass, after about three hours interval, that his wife, not knowing what had happened, came in.

8. అప్పుడు పేతురుమీరు ఆ భూమిని ఇంతకే అమ్మితిరా నాతో చెప్పుమని ఆమెను అడిగెను. అందుకామె అవును ఇంతకే అని చెప్పెను.

8. And Peter began to say unto her Tell me! was it, for so much, ye gave up the field? And she said Yea! for so much.

9. అందుకు పేతురు ప్రభువుయొక్క ఆత్మను శోధించుటకు మీరెందుకు ఏకీభవించితిరి? ఇదిగో నీ పెనిమిటిని పాతిపెట్టినవారి పాదములు వాకిటనే యున్నవి; వారు నిన్నును మోసికొని పోవుదురని ఆమెతొ చెప్పెను.

9. And, Peter, said unto her Why was it agreed by you to put to the proof the Spirit of the Lord? Lo! the feet of them that have buried thy husband, are at the door, and they shall bear thee forth.

10. వెంటనే ఆమె అతని పాదములయొద్ద పడి ప్రాణము విడిచెను. ఆ పడుచువారు, లోపలికి వచ్చి, ఆమె చనిపోయినది చూచి, ఆమెను మోసికొనిపోయి, ఆమె పెనిమిటియొద్ద పాతిపెట్టిరి.

10. And she fell instantly at his feet, and expired. And the young men, coming in, found her dead; and, bearing her forth, they buried her with her husband.

11. సంఘమంతటికిని, ఈ సంగతులు వినినవారికందరికిని మిగుల భయము కలిగెను.

11. And there came great fear upon the whole assembly, and upon all them that heard these things.

12. ప్రజలమధ్య అనేకమైన సూచకక్రియలును మహ త్కార్యములును అపొస్తలులచేత చేయబడుచుండెను. మరియు వారందరు ఏకమనస్కులై సొలొమోను మంటప ములో ఉండిరి.

12. And, through the hands of the Apostles, were coming to pass many signs and wonders among the people; and they were all with one accord in the portico of Solomon;

13. కడమవారిలో ఎవడును వారితో కలిసి కొనుటకు తెగింపలేదు గాని

13. Howbeit, of the rest, no one, durst join himself unto them, nevertheless the people continued to magnify them;

14. ప్రజలు వారిని ఘనపరచు చుండిరి. పురుషులును స్త్రీలును అనేకులు మరియెక్కువగ విశ్వాసులై ప్రభువు పక్షమున చేర్చబడిరి.

14. And, the more, were being added, when they believed in the Lord, throngs both of men and women;

15. అందు చేత పేతురు వచ్చుచుండగా జనులు రోగులను వీధులలోనికి తెచ్చి, వారిలో ఎవనిమీదనైనను అతని నీడయైనను పడవలెనని మంచములమీదను పరుపులమీదను వారిని ఉంచిరి.

15. So that, even into the broad-ways, were they bringing forth the sick, and laying them on small couches and beds, in order that, if Peter were coming along, even perchance his shadow, might overshadow some one of them.

16. మరియు యెరూషలేము చుట్టునుండు పట్టణముల జనులు రోగులను అపవిత్రాత్మలచేత పీడింప బడిన వారిని మోసికొని కూడివచ్చిరి. వారందరు స్వస్థత పొందిరి.

16. Moreover even the throng of the cities all round Jerusalem was coming together, bearing sick folk, and such as were harassed by impure spirits, who, indeed, were being cured, one and all.

17. ప్రధానయాజకుడును అతనితో కూడ ఉన్నవారందరును, అనగా సద్దూకయ్యుల తెగవారు లేచి మత్సరముతో నిండుకొని

17. But the High-priest, arising, and all who were with him, being the sect of the Sadducees, were filled with jealousy,

18. అపొస్తలులను బలాత్కారముగా పట్టుకొని పట్టణపు చెరసాలలో ఉంచిరి.

18. And thrust their hands upon the Apostles, and put them in a public ward.

19. అయితే ప్రభువు దూత రాత్రివేళ ఆ చెరసాల తలుపులు తీసి వారిని వెలుపలికి తీసికొని వచ్చిమీరు వెళ్లి దేవాలయములో నిలువబడి

19. But, a messenger of the Lord, by night, opened the doors of the prison; and, leading them out, said

20. ఈ జీవమునుగూర్చిన మాటలన్నియు ప్రజలతో చెప్పుడని వారితో అనెను.

20. Be going your way, and, taking your stand, be speaking, in the temple, unto the people, all the declarations of this Life.

21. వారామాట విని, తెల్లవారగానే దేవాలయములోనికి వెళ్లి బోధించుచుండిరి. ప్రధాన యాజకుడును అతనితోకూడ నున్న వారును వచ్చి, మహా సభవారిని ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పెద్దలనందరిని పిలువనంపించివారిని తోడుకొని రండని బంట్రౌతులను చెరసాలకు పంపిరి.

21. Now, when they heard this, they entered, under the dawn, into the temple, and began teaching. And the High-priest and they who were with him, arriving, called together the high-council, and all the senate of the sons of Israel; and sent off unto the prison, to have them brought.

22. బంట్రౌతులు అక్కడికి వెళ్లినప్పుడు వారు చెరసాలలో కనబడనందున తిరిగివచ్చి

22. And, the officers who came to the place, found them not in the prison; and, returning, brought tidings,

23. చెరసాల బహు భద్రముగా మూసియుండుటయు, కావలివారు తలుపుల ముందర నిలిచియుండుటయు చూచితివిు గాని తలుపులు తీసినప్పుడు లోపల మాకొకడైనను కనబడలేదని వారికి తెలిపిరి.

23. Saying The prison, found we locked with all safety, and the keepers standing at the doors; but, when we had opened the prison, inside, found we, no one.

24. అంతట దేవాలయపు అధిపతియు ప్రధాన యాజకులును ఆ మాటలు వినిఇది యేమవునో అని వారి విషయమై యెటుతోచక యుండిరి.

24. Now, when both the captain of the temple and the High-priests heard these words, they were utterly at a loss concerning them what perhaps this might come to.

25. అప్పుడు ఒకడు వచ్చిఇదిగో మీరు చెరసాలలో వేయించిన మనుష్యులు దేవాలయములో నిలిచి ప్రజలకు బోధించుచున్నారని వారికి తెలుపగా

25. But some one, entering, brought tidings unto them Lo! the men whom ye put in the prison, are in the temple, standing, and teaching the people!

26. అధిపతి బంట్రౌతులతో కూడ పోయి, ప్రజలు రాళ్లతో కొట్టుదురేమో అని భయపడి, బలాత్కారము చేయకయే వారిని తీసికొని వచ్చెను.

26. Then, the captain with the officers, departing, brought them not with violence, for they were afraid of the people, lest they should be stoned;

27. వారిని తీసికొని వచ్చి సభలో నిలువబెట్టగా

27. But, leading them in, set them in the high- council. And the High-priest questioned them,

28. ప్రధానయాజకుడు వారిని చూచిమీరు ఈ నామమునుబట్టి బోధింపకూడdదని మేము మీకు ఖండితముగా ఆజ్ఞాపింపలేదా? ఇదిగో మీరు యెరూషలేమును మీ బోధతో నింపి, యీ మనుష్యుని హత్య మామీదికి తేవలెనని ఉద్దేశించుచున్నారని చెప్పెను.

28. Saying Strictly, did we charge you not to be teaching upon this name; and lo! ye have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and are minded to bring down upon us, the blood of this man.

29. అందుకు పేతురును అపొస్తలులునుమనుష్యలకు కాదు దేవునికే మేము లోబడవలెను గదా.

29. But Peter and the Apostles, answering, said It is needful to be yielding obedience unto God rather than unto men:

30. మీరు మ్రానున వ్రేలాడవేసి సంహరించిన యేసును మన పితరుల దేవుడు లేపెను.
ద్వితీయోపదేశకాండము 21:22-23

30. The God of our fathers, hath raised up Jesus, whom, ye, got into your hands, suspending him upon a tree:

31. ఇశ్రాయేలునకు మారుమనస్సును పాప క్షమాపణను దయచేయుటకై దేవుడాయనను అధిపతిని గాను రక్షకునిగాను తన దక్షిణహస్తబలముచేత హెచ్చించి యున్నాడు.

31. Him, as Princely-leader and Saviour, hath God exalted unto his right hand, to give repentance unto Israel, and remission of sins.

32. మేమును, దేవుడు తనకు విధేయులైన వారికి అనుగ్రహించిన పరిశుద్ధాత్మయు, ఈ సంగతులకు సాక్షులమై యున్నామని చెప్పిరి.

32. And, we, are witnesses of these things, also the Holy Spirit, which God hath given unto them who are yielding obedience unto him.

33. వారు ఈ మాట విని అత్యాగ్రహము తెచ్చుకొని వీరిని చంప నుద్దేశించగా

33. And, they, when they heard this, were cut to the heart, and were making up their minds to slay them.

34. సమస్త ప్రజలవలన ఘనత నొందినవాడును ధర్మశాస్త్రోపదేశకుడునైన గమలీయేలను ఒక పరిసయ్యుడు మహాసభలో లేచిఈ మనుష్యులను కొంత సేపు వెలుపల ఉంచుడని ఆజ్ఞాపించి వారితో ఇట్లనెను

34. But a certain man, rising up in the high-council, by name Gamaliel, a law-teacher honoured by all the people, gave orders to put the men, outside, for a little,

35. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులారా, యీ మనుష్యుల విషయమై మీరేమి చేయబోవుచున్నారో జాగ్రత్తసుమండి.

35. And said unto them Men of Israel! be taking heed unto yourselves, what ye are about to inflict upon these men.

36. ఈ దినములకు మునుపు థూదా లేచి తానొక గొప్ప వాడనని చెప్పుకొనెను; ఇంచుమించు నన్నూరుమంది మనుష్యులు వానితో కలిసి కొనిరి, వాడు చంపబడెను, వానికి లోబడిన వారందరును చెదరి వ్యర్థులైరి.

36. For, before these days, there rose up one Theudas, affirming, himself, to be somebody, unto whom was inclined a number of men, about four hundred; who was slain, and, all as many as had been trusting in him, were disbanded, and came to nothing.

37. వానికి తరువాత జనసంఖ్య దినములలో గలిలయుడైన యూదా అను ఒకడు వచ్చి, ప్రజలను తనతో కూడ తిరుగుబాటుచేయ ప్రేరేపించెను; వాడుకూడ నశించెను, వానికి లోబడినవారందరును చెదరి పోయిరి.

37. After him, rose up Judas the Galilaean, in the days of the enrolling, and drew a people into revolt after him; and, he, perished, and, all, as many as had trusted in him, were scattered.

38. కాబట్టి నేను మీతో చెప్పునదేమనగా ఈ మనుష్యుల జోలికి పోక వారిని విడిచిపెట్టుడి. ఈ ఆలోచనయైనను ఈ కార్యమైనను మనుష్యులవలన కలిగిన దాయెనా అది వ్యర్థమగును.

38. Now, therefore, I say unto you stand aloof from these men, and let them alone; because if, of men, be this project or this work, it will be overthrown,

39. దేవునివలన కలిగినదాయెనా మీరు వారిని వ్యర్థపరచలేరు; మీరొకవేళ దేవునితో పోరాడువారవుదురు సుమీ.

39. But, if it is, of God, ye will not be able to overthrow them: lest once, even fighters against God, ye be found.

40. వారతని మాటకు సమ్మతించి, అపొస్తలులను పిలిపించి కొట్టించియేసు నామమునుబట్టి బోధింపకూడదని ఆజ్ఞాపించి వారిని విడుదల చేసిరి.

40. And they were persuaded by him; and, calling unto them the Apostles, they, with beating, charged them not be speaking upon the name of Jesus; and let them go.

41. ఆ నామముకొరకు అవమానము పొందుటకు పాత్రులని యెంచబడినందున వారు సంతోషించుచు మహాసభ యెదుటనుండి వెళ్లిపోయి

41. They, therefore, went rejoicing from the presence of the high-council; in that they had been accounted worthy, in behalf of The Name, to suffer dishonour.

42. ప్రతిదినము దేవాలయములోను ఇంటింటను మానక బోధించుచు, యేసే క్రీస్తని ప్రకటించుచుండిరి.

42. And, every day in the temple, and at home, they ceased not to be teaching, and telling the good news as to the Anointed Jesus.
