1. నేను స్వతంత్రుడను కానా? నేను అపొస్తలుడను కానా? మన ప్రభువైన యేసును నేను చూడలేదా? ప్రభువునందు నాపనికి ఫలము మీరు కారా?

1. Am I not an Apostle? Am I not fre? Haue I not sene Iesus Christ oure LORDE?

2. ఇతరులకు నేను అపొస్తలుడను కాకపోయినను మీమట్టుకైనను అపొస్తలుడనై యున్నాను. ప్రభువునందు నా అపొస్తలత్వ మునకు ముద్రగా ఉన్నవారు మీరే కారా?

2. Are not ye my worke in the LORDE? Yf I be not an Apostle vnto other, yet am I youre Apostle: for the seale of myne Apostleshippe are ye in the LORDE.

3. నన్ను విమర్శించువారికి నేను చెప్పుసమాధానమిదే.

3. Myne answere vnto them that axe me, is this:

4. తినుటకును త్రాగుటకును మాకు అధికారము లేదా?

4. Haue we not power to eate and drynke?

5. తక్కిన అపొస్తలులవలెను, ప్రభువుయొక్క సహోదరులవలెను, కేఫావలెను విశ్వాసురాలైన భార్యను వెంటబెట్టుకొని తిరుగుటకు మాకు అధికారములేదా?

5. Haue we not power also to leade aboute a sister to wife, as well as other Apostles, and as the brethren of the LORDE, and Cephas?

6. మరియు పని చేయకుండుటకు నేనును బర్నబాయు మాత్రమే అధికారము లేని వారమా?

6. Or haue onely I and Barnabas not power this to do?

7. ఎవడైనను తన సొంత ఖర్చు పెట్టుకొని దండులో కొలువు చేయునా? ద్రాక్షతోటవేసి దాని ఫలము తిననివాడెవడు? మందను కాచి మంద పాలు త్రాగనివాడెవడు?

7. Who goeth a warfare at eny tyme vpon his awne wages? Who planteth a vynyarde, and eateth not of the frute therof? Who fedeth a flocke, and eateth not of the mylke of the flocke?

8. ఈ మాటలు లోకాచారమును బట్టి చెప్పుచున్నానా? ధర్మశాస్త్రముకూడ వీటిని చెప్పు చున్నదిగదా?

8. Saye I these thinges after the maner of men? Sayeth not the lawe the same also?

9. కళ్లము త్రొక్కుచున్న యెద్దు మూతికి చిక్కము పెట్టవద్దు అని మోషే ధర్మశాస్త్రములో వ్రాయబడియున్నది. దేవుడు ఎడ్లకొరకు విచారించుచున్నాడా?

9. For it is wrytten in the lawe off Moses: Thou shalt not mosell the mouth of the oxe that treadeth out the corne. Doth God take thought for the oxen?

10. కేవలము మనకొరకు దీనిని చెప్పుచున్నాడా? అవును, మనకొరకే గదా యీ మాట వ్రాయబడెను? ఏలయనగా, దున్నువాడు ఆశతో దున్నవలెను, కళ్లము త్రొక్కించువాడు పంటలో పాలుపొందుదునను ఆశతో త్రొక్కింపవలెను.

10. Or sayeth he it not alltogether for oure sakes? For no doute it is wrytte for oure sakes. For he that eareth, shulde eare vpon hope: and he yt throssheth, shulde trosshe vpon hope, yt he mighte be partaker of his hope.

11. మీకొరకు ఆత్మసంబంధమైనవి మేము విత్తియుండగా మీవలన శరీరసంబంధమైన ఫలములు కోసికొనుట గొప్ప కార్యమా?

11. Yf we haue sowne vnto you spiritual thinges, is it a greate thige yf we reape yor bodely thiges?

12. ఇతరులకు మీ పైని యీ అధికారములో పాలు కలిగినయెడల మాకు ఎక్కువ కలదు గదా? అయితే మేము ఈ అధికారమును వినియోగించుకొనలేదు; క్రీస్తు సువార్తకు ఏ అభ్యంతరమైనను కలుగజేయకుండుటకై అన్నిటిని సహించుచున్నాము.

12. But yf other be partakers of this power on you, wherfore are not we rather? Neuertheles we haue not vsed this power, but suffre all thinges, lest we shulde hynder the Gospell off Christ.

13. ఆలయకృత్యములు జరిగించువారు ఆలయమువలన జీవనము చేయుచున్నా రనియు, బలిపీఠమునొద్ద కనిపెట్టుకొనియుండువారు బలి పీఠముతో పాలివారై యున్నారనియు మీరెరుగరా?

13. Knowe ye not that they which laboure in the temple, haue their lyuynge of ye temple: and they that wayte at the altare, enioye the altare?

14. ఆలాగున సువార్త ప్రచురించువారు సువార్తవలన జీవింపవలెనని ప్రభువునియమించియున్నాడు.

14. Euen thus also hath ye LORDE ordeyned, that they which preach the Gospell, shulde lyue of ye Gospell.

15. నేనైతే వీటిలో దేనినైనను వినియోగించుకొనలేదు; మీరు నాయెడల యీలాగున జరుపవలెనని ఈ సంగతులు వ్రాయనులేదు. ఎవడైనను నా అతిశయమును నిరర్థకము చేయుటకంటె నాకు మరణమే మేలు.

15. But I haue vsed none of these thinges. Nether wryte I therof, that it shulde be done so vnto me: for I had rather dye, the that eny man shulde brynge my reioysinge to naughte.

16. నేను సువార్తను ప్రకటించు చున్నను నాకు అతిశయకారణములేదు. సువార్తను ప్రకటింపవలసిన భారము నామీద మోపబడియున్నది. అయ్యో, నేను సువార్తను ప్రకటింపక పోయినయెడల నాకు శ్రమ.

16. For in that I preach the Gospell, I neade not boost my selfe, for I must nedes do it. And wo vnto me, yff I preach not the Gospell.

17. ఇది నేనిష్టపడి చేసినయెడల నాకు జీతము దొరకును. ఇష్టపడకపోయినను గృహనిర్వాహకత్వము నాకు అప్పగింపబడెను.

17. Yf I do it with a good wyll, I shall haue my rewarde: but yff I do it agaynst my wyll, yet is the office commytted vnto me.

18. అట్లయితే నాకు జీతమేమి? నేను సువార్తను ప్రకటించునప్పుడు సువార్తయందు నాకున్న అధికారమును పూర్ణముగా వినియోగ పరచుకొనకుండ సువార్తను ఉచితముగా ప్రకటించుటయే నా జీతము.

18. Wherfore the shal I be rewarded? (Namely therfore) that I preach the Gospell, and do the same frely for naughte, that I abuse not my libertye in ye Gospell.

19. నేను అందరి విషయము స్వతంత్రుడనై యున్నను ఎక్కువమందిని సంపాదించుకొనుటకై అందరికిని నన్ను నేనే దాసునిగా చేసికొంటిని.

19. For though I am fre from all men, yet haue I made my selfe euery mans seruaunt, yt I mighte wynne ye moo.

20. యూదులను సంపాదించుకొనుటకు యూదులకు యూదునివలె ఉంటిని. ధర్మశాస్త్రమునకు లోబడినవారిని సంపాదించుకొనుటకు నేను ధర్మశాస్త్రమునకు లోబడినవాడను కాకపోయినను, ధర్మశాస్త్రమునకు లోబడినవానివలె ఉంటిని.

20. Vnto the Iewes I am become as a Iewe, to wynne ye Iewes. To them that are vnder the lawe, I am become as though I were vnder the lawe, to wynne them which are vnder the lawe.

21. దేవుని విషయమై ధర్మశాస్త్రము లేనివాడను కాను గాని క్రీస్తు విషయమై ధర్మశాస్త్రమునకు లోబడినవాడను. అయినను ధర్మశాస్త్రము లేనివారిని సంపాదించుకొనుటకు ధర్మశాస్త్రము లేనివారికి ధర్మశాస్త్రము లేనివానివలెఉంటిని.

21. Vnto them that are without lawe, I am become as though I were without lawe (where as yet I am not without the lawe of God, but am in ye lawe of Christ) to wynne the that are without lawe.

22. బలహీనులను సంపాదించుకొనుటకు బలహీనులకు బలహీనుడనైతిని. ఏ విధముచేతనైనను కొందరిని రక్షింపవలెనని అందరికి అన్నివిధముల వాడనైయున్నాను.

22. To the weake, am I become as weake, to wynne the weake. I am become of all fasshions vnto euery man, to saue some at ye leest.

23. మరియు నేను సువార్తలో వారితో పాలివాడనగుటకై దానికొరకే సమస్తమును చేయుచున్నాను.

23. But this I do for the Gospels sake, that I mighte be partaker therof.

24. పందెపు రంగమందు పరుగెత్తువారందరు పరుగెత్తుదురుగాని యొక్కడే బహుమానము పొందునని మీకు తెలియదా? అటువలె మీరు బహుమానము పొందునట్లుగా పరుగెత్తుడి.

24. Knowe ye not, that they which runne in a course, runne all, yet but one receaueth the rewarde? Runne ye so, that ye maye optayne.

25. మరియు పందెమందు పోరాడు ప్రతివాడు అన్ని విషయములయందు మితముగా ఉండును. వారు క్షయమగు కిరీటమును పొందుటకును, మనమైతే అక్షయమగు కిరీటమును పొందుటకును మితముగా ఉన్నాము.

25. Euery one that proueth mastrye, absteyneth from all thinges, and they do it, that they maye optayne a corruptible crowne, but we to optayne an vncorruptible crowne.

26. కాబట్టి నేను గురి చూడనివానివలె పరుగెత్తు వాడనుకాను,

26. I therfore so runne, not as at an vncertayne thinge: So fighte I, not as one yt beateth ye ayre:

27. గాలిని కొట్టినట్టు నేను పోట్లాడుట లేదు గాని ఒకవేళ ఇతరులకు ప్రకటించిన తరువాత నేనే భ్రష్టుడనై పోదునేమో అని నా శరీరమును నలగగొట్టి, దానిని లోపరచుకొనుచున్నాను.

27. but I tame my body, and brynge it in to subieccion, lest whan I preach vnto other: I my selfe be a cast awaye.
