1. నేను స్వతంత్రుడను కానా? నేను అపొస్తలుడను కానా? మన ప్రభువైన యేసును నేను చూడలేదా? ప్రభువునందు నాపనికి ఫలము మీరు కారా?

1. Am I not an Apostle? am I not free? haue I not seene Iesus Christ our Lord? are ye not my worke in the Lord?

2. ఇతరులకు నేను అపొస్తలుడను కాకపోయినను మీమట్టుకైనను అపొస్తలుడనై యున్నాను. ప్రభువునందు నా అపొస్తలత్వ మునకు ముద్రగా ఉన్నవారు మీరే కారా?

2. If I be not an Apostle vnto other, yet doutlesse I am vnto you: for ye are the seale of mine Apostleship in the Lord.

3. నన్ను విమర్శించువారికి నేను చెప్పుసమాధానమిదే.

3. My defence to them that examine mee, is this,

4. తినుటకును త్రాగుటకును మాకు అధికారము లేదా?

4. Haue we not power to eat and to drinke?

5. తక్కిన అపొస్తలులవలెను, ప్రభువుయొక్క సహోదరులవలెను, కేఫావలెను విశ్వాసురాలైన భార్యను వెంటబెట్టుకొని తిరుగుటకు మాకు అధికారములేదా?

5. Or haue we not power to lead about a wife being a sister, as well as the rest of the Apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?

6. మరియు పని చేయకుండుటకు నేనును బర్నబాయు మాత్రమే అధికారము లేని వారమా?

6. Or I only and Barnabas, haue not we power not to worke?

7. ఎవడైనను తన సొంత ఖర్చు పెట్టుకొని దండులో కొలువు చేయునా? ద్రాక్షతోటవేసి దాని ఫలము తిననివాడెవడు? మందను కాచి మంద పాలు త్రాగనివాడెవడు?

7. Who goeth a warfare any time at his owne coste? who planteth a vineyarde, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flocke, and eateth not of the milke of the flocke?

8. ఈ మాటలు లోకాచారమును బట్టి చెప్పుచున్నానా? ధర్మశాస్త్రముకూడ వీటిని చెప్పు చున్నదిగదా?

8. Say I these thinges according to man? saith not the Lawe the same also?

9. కళ్లము త్రొక్కుచున్న యెద్దు మూతికి చిక్కము పెట్టవద్దు అని మోషే ధర్మశాస్త్రములో వ్రాయబడియున్నది. దేవుడు ఎడ్లకొరకు విచారించుచున్నాడా?

9. For it is written in the Lawe of Moses, Thou shalt not mussell the mouth of the oxe that treadeth out the corne: doeth God take care for oxen?

10. కేవలము మనకొరకు దీనిని చెప్పుచున్నాడా? అవును, మనకొరకే గదా యీ మాట వ్రాయబడెను? ఏలయనగా, దున్నువాడు ఆశతో దున్నవలెను, కళ్లము త్రొక్కించువాడు పంటలో పాలుపొందుదునను ఆశతో త్రొక్కింపవలెను.

10. Either saith hee it not altogether for our sakes? For our sakes no doubt it is written, that he which eareth, should eare in hope, and that he that thresheth in hope, should be partaker of his hope.

11. మీకొరకు ఆత్మసంబంధమైనవి మేము విత్తియుండగా మీవలన శరీరసంబంధమైన ఫలములు కోసికొనుట గొప్ప కార్యమా?

11. If wee haue sowen vnto you spirituall thinges, is it a great thing if we reape your carnall thinges?

12. ఇతరులకు మీ పైని యీ అధికారములో పాలు కలిగినయెడల మాకు ఎక్కువ కలదు గదా? అయితే మేము ఈ అధికారమును వినియోగించుకొనలేదు; క్రీస్తు సువార్తకు ఏ అభ్యంతరమైనను కలుగజేయకుండుటకై అన్నిటిని సహించుచున్నాము.

12. If others with you bee partakers of this power, are not we rather? neuerthelesse, we haue not vsed this power: but suffer all things, that we should not hinder the Gospel of Christ.

13. ఆలయకృత్యములు జరిగించువారు ఆలయమువలన జీవనము చేయుచున్నా రనియు, బలిపీఠమునొద్ద కనిపెట్టుకొనియుండువారు బలి పీఠముతో పాలివారై యున్నారనియు మీరెరుగరా?

13. Doe ye not knowe, that they which minister about the holy things, eate of the things of the Temple? and they which waite at the altar, are partakers with the altar?

14. ఆలాగున సువార్త ప్రచురించువారు సువార్తవలన జీవింపవలెనని ప్రభువునియమించియున్నాడు.

14. So also hath the Lord ordeined, that they which preach ye Gospel, should liue of the Gospel.

15. నేనైతే వీటిలో దేనినైనను వినియోగించుకొనలేదు; మీరు నాయెడల యీలాగున జరుపవలెనని ఈ సంగతులు వ్రాయనులేదు. ఎవడైనను నా అతిశయమును నిరర్థకము చేయుటకంటె నాకు మరణమే మేలు.

15. But I haue vsed none of these things: neither wrote I these things, that it should be so done vnto me: for it were better for me to die, then that any man should make my reioycing vaine.

16. నేను సువార్తను ప్రకటించు చున్నను నాకు అతిశయకారణములేదు. సువార్తను ప్రకటింపవలసిన భారము నామీద మోపబడియున్నది. అయ్యో, నేను సువార్తను ప్రకటింపక పోయినయెడల నాకు శ్రమ.

16. For though I preach the Gospel, I haue nothing to reioyce of: for necessitie is laid vpon me, and woe is vnto me, if I preach not the Gospel.

17. ఇది నేనిష్టపడి చేసినయెడల నాకు జీతము దొరకును. ఇష్టపడకపోయినను గృహనిర్వాహకత్వము నాకు అప్పగింపబడెను.

17. For if I do it willingly, I haue a reward, but if I do it against my will, notwithstanding the dispensation is committed vnto me.

18. అట్లయితే నాకు జీతమేమి? నేను సువార్తను ప్రకటించునప్పుడు సువార్తయందు నాకున్న అధికారమును పూర్ణముగా వినియోగ పరచుకొనకుండ సువార్తను ఉచితముగా ప్రకటించుటయే నా జీతము.

18. What is my reward then? verely that when I preach the Gospel, I make the Gospel of Christ free, that I abuse not mine authoritie in ye Gospel.

19. నేను అందరి విషయము స్వతంత్రుడనై యున్నను ఎక్కువమందిని సంపాదించుకొనుటకై అందరికిని నన్ను నేనే దాసునిగా చేసికొంటిని.

19. For though I bee free from all men, yet haue I made my selfe seruant vnto all men, that I might winne the moe.

20. యూదులను సంపాదించుకొనుటకు యూదులకు యూదునివలె ఉంటిని. ధర్మశాస్త్రమునకు లోబడినవారిని సంపాదించుకొనుటకు నేను ధర్మశాస్త్రమునకు లోబడినవాడను కాకపోయినను, ధర్మశాస్త్రమునకు లోబడినవానివలె ఉంటిని.

20. And vnto the Iewes, I become as a Iewe, that I may winne the Iewes: to them that are vnder the Lawe, as though I were vnder the Lawe, that I may winne them that are vnder the Lawe:

21. దేవుని విషయమై ధర్మశాస్త్రము లేనివాడను కాను గాని క్రీస్తు విషయమై ధర్మశాస్త్రమునకు లోబడినవాడను. అయినను ధర్మశాస్త్రము లేనివారిని సంపాదించుకొనుటకు ధర్మశాస్త్రము లేనివారికి ధర్మశాస్త్రము లేనివానివలెఉంటిని.

21. To them that are without Lawe, as though I were without Lawe, (when I am not without Lawe as pertaining to God, but am in the Lawe through Christ) that I may winne them that are without Lawe:

22. బలహీనులను సంపాదించుకొనుటకు బలహీనులకు బలహీనుడనైతిని. ఏ విధముచేతనైనను కొందరిని రక్షింపవలెనని అందరికి అన్నివిధముల వాడనైయున్నాను.

22. To the weake I become as weake, that I may winne the weake: I am made all thinges to all men, that I might by all meanes saue some.

23. మరియు నేను సువార్తలో వారితో పాలివాడనగుటకై దానికొరకే సమస్తమును చేయుచున్నాను.

23. And this I doe for the Gospels sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.

24. పందెపు రంగమందు పరుగెత్తువారందరు పరుగెత్తుదురుగాని యొక్కడే బహుమానము పొందునని మీకు తెలియదా? అటువలె మీరు బహుమానము పొందునట్లుగా పరుగెత్తుడి.

24. Knowe ye not, that they which runne in a race, runne all, yet one receiueth the price? so runne that ye may obtaine.

25. మరియు పందెమందు పోరాడు ప్రతివాడు అన్ని విషయములయందు మితముగా ఉండును. వారు క్షయమగు కిరీటమును పొందుటకును, మనమైతే అక్షయమగు కిరీటమును పొందుటకును మితముగా ఉన్నాము.

25. And euery man that proueth masteries, abstaineth from all things: and they do it to obtaine a corruptible crowne: but we for an vncorruptible.

26. కాబట్టి నేను గురి చూడనివానివలె పరుగెత్తు వాడనుకాను,

26. I therefore so runne, not as vncertainely: so fight I, not as one that beateth the ayre.

27. గాలిని కొట్టినట్టు నేను పోట్లాడుట లేదు గాని ఒకవేళ ఇతరులకు ప్రకటించిన తరువాత నేనే భ్రష్టుడనై పోదునేమో అని నా శరీరమును నలగగొట్టి, దానిని లోపరచుకొనుచున్నాను.

27. But I beate downe my body, and bring it into subiection, lest by any meanes after that I haue preached to other, I my selfe should be reproued.
