1. మనుష్యులకు వివాదము కలిగి న్యాయసభకు వచ్చు నప్పుడు న్యాయాధిపతులు విమర్శించి నీతిమంతుని నీతి మంతుడనియు దోషిని దోషియనియు తీర్పు తీర్చవలెను.

1. If there is a dispute between men, and they come to court, that the judges may judge them, and they justify the righteous and condemn the wicked,

2. ఆ దోషి శిక్షకు పాత్రుడుగా కనబడినయెడల న్యాయాధి పతి వాని పండుకొనబెట్టి వాని నేరముకొలది దెబ్బలు లెక్కపెట్టి తనయెదుట వాని కొట్టింపవలెను.

2. then it shall be, if the wicked man deserves to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie prostrate and be beaten in his presence, according to his guilt, by number.

3. నలువది దెబ్బలు కొట్టింపవచ్చును అంతకు మించకూడదు. వీటి కంటే విస్తారమైన దెబ్బలు కొట్టించినయెడల నీ సహోద రుడు నీ దృష్టికి నీచుడుగా కనబడునేమో.

3. He may beat him forty times and no more, lest he should exceed this and beat him with many stripes above these, and your brother be degraded in your eyes.

4. నూర్చెడియెద్దు మూతికి చిక్కము వేయకూడదు.

5. సహోదరులు కూడి నివసించుచుండగా వారిలో ఒకడు సంతానములేక చనిపోయినయెడల చనిపోయిన వాని భార్య అన్యుని పెండ్లిచేసికొనకూడదు; ఆమె పెని మిటి సహోదరుడు ఆమెయొద్దకు పోయి ఆమెను పెండ్లి చేసికొని తన సహోదరునికి మారుగా ఆమెయెడల భర్త ధర్మము జరపవలెను.

5. If brothers dwell together, and one of them dies and has no son, the widow of the dead man shall not be married to a strange man outside the family; her husband's brother shall go in to her, take her as his wife, and perform the duty of a husband's brother to her.

6. చనిపోయిన సహోదరుని పేరు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలోనుండి తుడిచి వేయబడకుండునట్లు ఆమె కను జ్యేష్ఠకుమారుడు చనిపోయిన సహోదరునికి వారసుడుగా ఉండవలెను.

6. And it shall be that the firstborn son which she bears shall succeed to the name of his dead brother, that his name not be blotted out of Israel.

7. But if the man does not desire to take his brother's wife, then his brother's wife shall go up to the gate to the elders, and say, My husband's brother refuses to raise up a name to his brother in Israel; he will not perform the duty of my husband's brother.

8. అప్పుడు అతని యూరి పెద్దలు అతని పిలిపించి అతనితో మాటలాడిన తరువాత అతడు నిలువబడిఆమెను పరిగ్రహించుటకు నా కిష్టము లేదనినయెడల అతని సహోదరుని భార్య

8. If after the elders of his city have summoned him and spoken to him, he has stood firm and said, I do not desire to take her,

9. then his brother's wife shall come to him in the presence of the elders, remove his sandal from his foot, spit in his face, and answer and say, So shall it be done to the man who will not build up the house of his brother.

10. అప్పుడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో చెప్పు ఊడదీయబడిన వాని యిల్లని వానికి పేరు పెట్టబడును.

10. And his name shall be called in Israel, The house of him who had his sandal removed.

11. మనుష్యులు ఒకనితో నొకడు పోట్లాడుచుండగా వారిలో ఒకని భార్య వాని కొట్టుచున్నవాని చేతిలోనుండి తన పెనిమిటిని విడిపించుటకు వచ్చి చెయ్యి చాచి వానిమానము పట్టుకొనినయెడల ఆమె చేతిని ఛేదింపవలెను.

11. If two men strive with one another, and the wife of one draws near to rescue her husband from the hand of the one striking him, and puts out her hand and grabs him by the genitals,

12. నీ కన్ను కటాక్షింపకూడదు.

12. then you shall cut off her hand; your eye shall not pity.

13. హెచ్చుతగ్గులుగల వేరువేరు తూనికె రాళ్లు నీ సంచిలో నుంచుకొనకూడదు.

13. You shall not have in your bag a stone and a stone weight, a great and small.

14. హెచ్చుతగ్గులుగల వేరు వేరు తూములు నీ యింట ఉంచుకొనకూడదు.

14. You shall not have in your house an ephah and ephah, a large and small.

15. నీ దేవు డైన యెహోవా నీకిచ్చుచున్న దేశములో నీవు దీర్ఘా యుష్మంతుడవగునట్లు తక్కువవికాని న్యాయమైన తూనికె రాళ్లు నీవు ఉంచుకొనవలెను. తక్కువదికాని న్యాయమైన తూము నీకు ఉండవలెను.

15. You shall have perfect and just weight stones, a perfect and just ephah; that your days may be prolonged in the land which Jehovah your God is giving to you.

16. ఆలాగు చేయని ప్రతివాడును, అనగా అన్యాయముచేయు ప్రతివాడును నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు హేయుడు.

16. For all who do such things, all who do unrighteously, are an abomination unto Jehovah your God.

17. మీరు ఐగుప్తులోనుండి వచ్చుచుండగా మార్గమున అమాలేకీయులు నీకు చేసినదానిని జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనుము. అతడు దేవునికి భయపడక మార్గమున నీ కెదురుగా వచ్చి

17. Remember what Amalek did to you on the way as you were coming forth out of Egypt,

18. నీవు ప్రయాసవడి అలసియున్నప్పుడు నీవారిలో నీ వెనుక నున్న బలహీనులనందరిని హతముచేసెను.

18. how he met you on the way and attacked your rear, all the feeble ones following at the rear, when you were exhausted and weary; and he did not fear God.

19. కాబట్టి నీవు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనునట్లు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా స్వాస్థ్య ముగా నీకిచ్చుచున్న దేశములో చుట్టుపట్లనున్న నీ సమస్త శత్రువులను లేకుండచేసి, నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకు విశ్రాంతి దయచేసిన తరువాత ఆకాశము క్రింద నుండి అమాలేకీయుల పేరు తుడిచివేయవలెను. ఇది మరచిపోవద్దు.

19. Therefore it shall be, when Jehovah your God has given you rest from your enemies all around, in the land which Jehovah your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance, that you shall blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under the heavens. You shall not forget.
