1. మోషే ఇశ్రాయేలీయులనందరిని పిలిపించి యిట్ల నెనుఇశ్రాయేలీయులారా, నేను మీ వినికిడిలో నేడు చెప్పుచున్న కట్టడలను విధులను విని వాటిని నేర్చుకొని వాటిననుసరించి నడువుడి.

1. Moses called together all the Israelites and said to them, 'Israelites, listen to the laws and rules that I tell you today. Learn these laws and be sure to obey them.

2. మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా హోరేబులో మనతో నిబంధనచేసెను.

2. The Lord our God made an agreement with us at Mount Horeb.

3. యెహోవా మన పితరులతో కాదు, నేడు ఇక్కడ సజీవులమైయున్న మనతోనే యీ నిబంధన చేసెను.

3. The Lord did not make this agreement with our ancestors, but with us�yes, with all of us who are alive here today.

4. యెహోవా ఆ కొండ మీద అగ్ని మధ్యనుండి ముఖాముఖిగా మీతో మాటలాడగా మీరు ఆ అగ్నికి భయపడి ఆ కొండ యెక్కలేదు.

4. The Lord spoke with you face to face at that mountain. He spoke to you from the fire.

5. గనుక యెహోవామాట మీకు తెలియ జేయుటకు నేను యెహోవాకును మీకును మధ్యను నిలిచి యుండగా యెహోవా ఈలాగున సెలవిచ్చెను.

5. But you were afraid of the fire. And you did not go up the mountain. So I stood between the Lord and you to tell you what the Lord said. He said:

6. దాసుల గృహమైన ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి నిన్ను రప్పించిన నీ దేవుడనైన యెహోవాను నేనే.

6. I am the Lord your God. I led you out of Egypt where you were slaves.

7. నేను తప్ప వేరొక దేవుడు నీకుండకూడదు.

7. You must not worship any other gods except me.

8. పైనున్న ఆకాశమందే గాని, క్రిందనున్న భూమి యందే గాని భూమి క్రిందనున్న నీళ్లయందే గాని యుండు దేని పోలికనైన విగ్రహమును చేసికొనకూడదు.

8. You must not make any idols. Don't make any statues or pictures of anything up in the sky or of anything on the earth or of anything down in the water.

9. వాటికి నమస్కరింపకూడదు; వాటిని పూజింపకూడదు. నీ దేవుడనైన యెహోవాయగు నేను రోషముగల దేవు డను; నన్ను ద్వేషించువారి విషయములో మూడు నాలుగు తరములవరకు తండ్రుల దోషమును కుమారులమీదికి రప్పించుచు

9. Don't worship or serve idols of any kind, because I am the Lord your God. I hate for my people to worship other gods. People who sin against me become my enemies. And I will punish them, and their children, their grandchildren, and even their great-grandchildren.

10. నన్ను ప్రేమించి నా ఆజ్ఞలను గైకొనువారి విషయ ములో వేయితరములవరకు కరుణించువాడనై యున్నాను.

10. But I will be very kind to people who love me and obey my commands. I will be kind to their families for thousands of generations!

11. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నామమును వ్యర్థముగా ఉచ్చరింపకూడదు; యెహోవా తన నామమును వ్యర్థ ముగా ఉచ్చరించువానిని నిర్దోషిగా ఎంచడు.

11. 'You must not use the name of the Lord your God to make empty promises. If you do, the Lord will not let you go unpunished.

12. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీ కాజ్ఞాపించినట్లు విశ్రాంతి దినమును పరిశుద్ధముగా ఆచరించుము.

12. 'You must keep the Sabbath a special day like the Lord your God commanded.

13. ఆరుదినములు నీవు కష్టపడి నీ పని అంతయు చేయవలెను.

13. Work six days a week and do your job,

14. ఏడవ దినము నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు విశ్రాంతి దినము. దానిలో నీవైనను నీ కుమారుడైనను నీ కుమార్తెయైనను నీ దాసుడైనను నీ దాసియైనను నీ యెద్దయినను నీ గాడిద యైనను నీ పశువులలో ఏదై నను నీ యిండ్లలోనున్న పర దేశియైనను ఏ పనియు చేయకూడదు. ఎందుకంటే నీవలె నీ దాసుడును నీ దాసియును విశ్రమింపవలెను.

14. but the seventh day is a day of rest in honor of the Lord your God. So on that day no one should work�not you, your sons and daughters, foreigners living in your cities or your men and women slaves. Not even your cattle, donkeys, and other animals should do any work! Your slaves should be able to rest just as you do.

15. నీవు ఐగుప్తుదేశమందు దాసుడవైయున్నప్పుడు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా బాహుబలముచేతను చాచిన చేతిచేతను నిన్ను అక్కడనుండి రప్పించెనని జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనుము. అందు చేతను విశ్రాంతిదినము ఆచరింపవలెనని నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకు ఆజ్ఞాపించెను.

15. Don't forget that you were slaves in the land of Egypt. The Lord your God brought you out of Egypt with his great power and made you free. That is why the Lord your God commands you to always make the Sabbath a special day.

16. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీ కనుగ్రహించు దేశములో నీవు దీర్ఘాయుష్మంతుడవై నీకు క్షేమమగునట్లు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీ కాజ్ఞాపించినలాగున నీ తండ్రిని నీ తల్లిని సన్మానింపుము.

16. 'You must honor your father and your mother. The Lord your God has commanded you to do this. If you follow this command, you will live a long time, and everything will go well for you in the land that the Lord your God gives you.

17. 'You must not murder anyone.

18. You must not commit the sin of adultery.

19. దొంగిలకూడదు.

19. You must not steal.

20. నీ పొరుగువానిమీద అబద్ధ సాక్ష్యము పలుకకూడదు.

20. You must not tell lies about other people.

21. నీ పొరుగువాని భార్యను ఆశింపకూడదు; నీ పొరుగు వాని యింటినైనను వాని పొలమునైనను వాని దాసుని నైనను వాని దాసినినైనను వాని యెద్దునైనను వాని గాడిద నైనను నీ పొరుగువానిదగు దేనినైనను ఆశింపకూడదు.

21. 'You must not want another man's wife. You must not want his house, his fields, his men and women servants, his cattle, or his donkeys. You must not want to take anything that belongs to another person!'

22. ఈ మాటలను యెహోవా ఆ పర్వతముమీద అగ్ని మేఘ గాఢాంధకారముల మధ్యనుండి గొప్ప స్వరముతో మీ సమాజమంతటితో చెప్పి, రెండు రాతి పలకలమీద వాటిని వ్రాసి నాకిచ్చెను. ఆయన మరేమియు చెప్పలేదు.

22. Moses said, 'The Lord gave these commands to all of you when you were together there at the mountain. He spoke in a loud voice that came from the fire, the cloud, and the thick darkness. After he gave us these commands, he didn't say any more. He wrote his words on two stone tablets and gave them to me.

23. 'You heard the voice from the darkness while the mountain was burning with fire. Then all the elders and the other leaders of your tribes came to me.

24. మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా తన ఘనతను మహాత్మ్య మును మాకు చూపించెను. అగ్నిమధ్యనుండి ఆయన స్వర మును వింటిమి. దేవుడు నరులతో మాటలాడినను వారు బ్రదుకుదురని నేడు తెలిసికొంటిమి.

24. They said, 'The Lord our God has shown us his Glory and his greatness! We heard him speak from the fire. We have seen today that it is possible to continue living even after God speaks to us.

25. కాబట్టి మేము చావనేల? ఈ గొప్ప అగ్ని మమ్మును దహించును; మేము మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా స్వరము ఇక వినినయెడల చని పోదుము.
హెబ్రీయులకు 12:19

25. But if we hear the Lord our God speak to us again, surely we will die! That terrible fire will destroy us. We don't want to die.

26. మావలె సమస్త శరీరులలో మరి ఎవడు సజీవు డైన దేవుని స్వరము అగ్ని మధ్యనుండి పలుకుట విని బ్రదికెను?

26. No one has ever heard the living God speak from the fire like we have and still lived!

27. నీవే సమీపించి మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా చెప్పునది యావత్తు వినుము. అప్పుడు మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీతో చెప్పినది యావత్తు నీవే మాతో చెప్పిన యెడల మేము విని దాని గైకొందుమని చెప్పితిరి.

27. Moses, you go near and hear everything the Lord our God says. Then tell us everything the Lord tells you. We will listen to you, and we will do everything you say.'

28. మీరు నాతో మాటలాడినప్పుడు యెహోవా మీ మాటలు వినెను. అప్పుడు యెహోవా నాతో ఈలాగు సెల విచ్చెనుఈ జనులు నీతో చెప్పిన మాటలు నేను విని యున్నాను. వారు చెప్పినదంతయు మంచిదే.

28. The Lord heard what you said and told me, 'I heard what the people said. And that is fine.

29. వారికిని వారి సంతాన మునకును నిత్యమును క్షేమము కలుగునట్లు వారు నాయందు భయభక్తులు కలిగి నా ఆజ్ఞలన్నిటిని అనుసరించు మనస్సు వారికుండిన మేలు.

29. I only wanted to change their way of thinking�I wanted them to respect me and obey all my commands from the heart. Then everything would be fine with them and with their descendants forever.

30. మీ గుడా రములలోనికి తిరిగి వెళ్లుడని నీవు వారితో చెప్పుము.

30. 'Go and tell the people to go back to their tents,

31. అయితే నీవు ఇక్కడ నాయొద్ద నిలిచియుండుము. నీవు వారికి బోధింపవలసిన ధర్మమంతటిని, అనగా కట్టడలను విధులను నేను నీతో చెప్పెదను.

31. but you stand here near me. I will tell you all the commands, laws, and rules that you must teach them. They must do these things in the land that I am giving them to live in.'

32. వారు స్వాధీనపరచు కొనునట్లు నేను వారి కిచ్చుచున్న దేశ మందు వారు ఆలాగు ప్రవర్తింపవలెను.

32. So you people must be careful to do everything the Lord commanded you. Do not stop following God!

33. కాబట్టి మీరు కుడికే గాని యెడమకే గాని తిరుగక మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఆజ్ఞా పించినట్లు చేయుటకు జాగ్రత్తపడవ లెను. మీరు స్వాధీన పరచుకొనబోవు దేశములో మీరు జీవించుచు మేలుకలిగి దీర్ఘాయుష్మంతులగునట్లు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన మార్గము లన్నిటిలో నడుచుకొనవలెను.

33. You must live the way the Lord your God commanded you. Then you will continue to live, and everything will be fine with you. You will live a long life in the land that will belong to you.
