1. మనష్షే యోసేపు పెద్దకుమారుడు గనుక అతని గోత్రమునకు, అనగా మనష్షే పెద్ద కుమారుడును గిలాదు దేశాధిపతియునైన మాకీరునకు చీట్లవలన వంతువచ్చెను. అతడు యుద్ధవీరుడైనందున అతనికి గిలాదును బాషానును వచ్చెను.

1. This was also the lot of the tribe of Manasseh: for he was the first borne of Ioseph, to wit, of Machir the first borne of Manasseh, and the father of Gilead: nowe because he was a man of warre, he had Gilead and Bashan.

2. మనష్షీయులలో మిగిలిన వారికి, అనగా అబియెజెరీయులకును హెలకీయులకును అశ్రీయేలీయుల కును షెకెమీయులకును హెపెరీయులకును షెమీ దీయులకును వారి వారి వంశములచొప్పున వంతువచ్చెను. వారి వంశములనుబట్టి యోసేపు కుమారుడైన మనష్షే యొక్క మగ సంతానమది.

2. And also of the rest of the sonnes of Manasseh by their families, euen of the sonnes of Abiezer, and of the sonnes of Helek, and of ye sonnes of Azriel, and of the sonnes of Shechem, and of the sonnes of Hepher, and of the sonnes of Shemida: these were the males of Manasseh, the sonne of Ioseph according to their families.

3. మనష్షే మునిమనుమడును మాకీరు ఇనుమనుమడును గిలాదు మనుమడును హెపెరు కుమారుడునైన సెలోపె హాదుకు కుమార్తెలేగాని కుమారులు పుట్ట లేదు. అతని కుమార్తెల పేరులు మహలా నోయా హొగ్లా మిల్కా తిర్సా అనునవి.

3. But Zelophehad the sonne of Hephir, the sonne of Gilead, the sonne of Machir, ye sonne of Manasseh, had no sonnes, but daughters: and these are the names of his daughters, Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah and Tirzah:

4. వారు యాజకుడైన ఎలియాజరు ఎదుటి కిని నూను కుమారుడైన యెహోషువ యెదుటికిని ప్రధా నుల యెదుటికిని వచ్చిమా సహోదరులమధ్య మాకు స్వాస్థ్యమియ్యవలెనని యెహోవా మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించె నని మనవి చేయగా యెహోషువ యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చినట్టు వారి తండ్రి యొక్క సహోదరులమధ్య వారికి స్వాస్థ్యములిచ్చెను.

4. Which came before Eleazar the Priest, and before Ioshua the sonne of Nun, and before the princes, saying, The Lord commanded Moses to giue vs an inheritance among our brethren: therefore according to the commandement of the Lord he gaue them an inheritance among the brethren of their father.

5. కాబట్టి యొర్దాను అద్దరినున్న గిలాదు బాషానులుగాక మనష్షీయులకు పదివంతులు హెచ్చుగా వచ్చెను.

5. And there fell ten portions to Manasseh, beside the land of Gilead and Bashan, which is on the other side Iorden,

6. ఏల యనగా మనష్షీయుల స్త్రీ సంతానమును వారి పురుష సంతానమును స్వాస్థ్యములు పొందెను. గిలాదుదేశము తక్కిన మనష్షీయులకు స్వాస్థ్యమాయెను.

6. Because the daughters of Manasseh did inherite among his sonnes: and Manassehs other sonnes had the land of Gilead.

7. మనష్షీయుల సరిహద్దు ఆషేరునుండి షెకెమునకు తూర్పుగానున్న మిక్మెతావరకును దక్షిణమున ఏన్తప్పూయ నివాసులవైపునకు వ్యాపించెను.

7. So the borders of Manasseh were from Asher to Michmethah that lieth before Shechem, and this border goeth on the right hand, euen vnto the inhabitants of En-tappuah.

8. తప్పూయదేశము మనష్షీయులదాయెను; అయితే మనష్షీయుల సరిహద్దులోని తప్పూయ ఎఫ్రాయి మీయులదాయెను.

8. The land of Tappuah belonged to Manasseh, but Tappuah beside the border of Manasseh belongeth to the sonnes of Ephraim.

9. ఆ సరిహద్దు కానాయేటి దక్షిణ దిక్కున ఆ యేటివరకు వ్యాపించెను. మనష్షీయుల ఊళ్లలో ఆ ఊళ్లు ఎఫ్రాయిమీయులకు కలిగెను; అయితే మనష్షీయుల సరిహద్దు ఆ యేటికి ఉత్తరముగా సముద్రము వరకు వ్యాపించెను. దక్షిణ భూమి ఎఫ్రాయిమీయుల కును ఉత్తరభూమి మనష్షీయులకును కలిగెను.

9. Also this border goeth downe vnto the riuer Kanah Southward to the riuer: these cities of Ephraim are among the cities of Manasseh: and the border of Manasseh is on the Northside of the riuer, and the endes of it are at the Sea,

10. సము ద్రము వారి సరిహద్దు; ఉత్తరదిక్కున అది ఆషేరీయుల సరిహద్దుకును, తూర్పుదిక్కున ఇశ్శాఖారీయుల సరిహద్దు కును నడిచెను.

10. The South perteyneth to Ephraim, and the North to Manasseh, and the Sea is his border: and they met together in Asher Northwarde, and in Issachar Eastward.

11. ఇశ్శాఖారీయుల ప్రదేశములోను ఆషేరీయుల ప్రదేశ ములోను బేత్షెయాను దాని పురములును ఇబ్లెయామును దాని పురములును దోరు నివాసులును దాని పురములును ఏన్దోరు నివాసులును దాని పురములును తానాకు నివాసులును దాని పురములును మెగిద్దో నివాసులును దాని పురములును, అనగా మూడు కొండల ప్రదేశము మనష్షీయులకు కలిగి యున్నది.

11. And Manasseh had in Issachar and in Asher, Beth-shean, and her townes, and Ibleam, and her townes, and the inhabitants of Dor with ye townes thereof, and the inhabitants of En-dor with the townes thereof, and the inhabitants of Thaanach with her townes, and the inhabitants of Megiddo with the townes of the same, euen three countreis.

12. కనానీయులు ఆ దేశ ములో నివసింపవలెనని గట్టిపట్టు పట్టి యుండిరి గనుక మనష్షీయులు ఆ పురములను స్వాధీనపరచుకొనలేక పోయిరి.

12. Yet the children of Manasseh coulde not destroy those cities, but the Canaanites dwelled still in that land.

13. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు బలవంతులైన తరువాత వారు కనానీయుల చేత వెట్టిపనులు చేయించుకొనిరి కాని వారి దేశమును పూర్తిగా స్వాధీనపరచుకొనలేదు.

13. Neuerthelesse, when the children of Israel were strong, they put the Canaanites vnder tribute, but cast them not out wholy.

14. అప్పుడు యోసేపు పుత్రులు యెహోషువతోమా కేల ఒక్క చీటితో ఒక్క వంతునే స్వాస్థ్యముగా ఇచ్చితివి? మేము ఒక గొప్ప జనమేగదా? ఇదివరకు యెహోవా మమ్మును దీవించెనని మనవిచేయగా

14. Then the children of Ioseph spake vnto Ioshua, saying, Why hast thou giuen me but one lot, and one portion to inherite, seeing I am a great people, for as much as the Lord hath blessed me hitherto?

15. యెహోషువమీరు గొప్ప జనము గనుక ఎఫ్రాయిమీయులయొక్క మన్యము మీకు ఇరుకుగా నున్న యెడల మీరు అడవికి పోయి అక్కడ పెరిజ్జీయుల దేశములోను రెఫాయీయుల దేశములోను మీకు మీరే చెట్లు నరకుకొనుడని వారితో చెప్పెను.

15. Ioshua then answered them, If thou be much people, get thee vp to the wood, and cut trees for thy selfe there in the lande of the Perizzites, and of the gyants, if mount Ephraim be too narowe for thee.

16. అందుకు యోసేపు పుత్రులుఆ మన్యము మాకుచాలదు; అదియుగాక పల్లపుచోటున నివసించు కనానీయుల కందరికి, అనగా బేత్షెయానులోనివారికిని దాని పురముల లోని వారికిని యెజ్రెయేలు లోయలోని వారికిని ఇనుప రథములున్నవనిరి.

16. Then the children of Ioseph saide, The mountaine will not be ynough for vs: and all the Canaanites that dwell in the lowe countrey haue charets of yron, aswell they in Beth-shean, and in the townes of the same, as they in the valley of Izreel.

17. అప్పడు యెహోషువ యోసేపు పుత్రు లైన ఎఫ్రాయిమీయులను మనష్షీయులను చూచిమీరు ఒక విస్తారజనము,

17. And Ioshua spake vnto the house of Ioseph, to Ephraim, and to Manasseh, saying, Thou art a great people, and hast great power, and shalt not haue one lot.

18. మీకు అధికబలముగలదు, మీకు ఒక్కవంతు చీటియేకాదు; ఆ కొండ మీదే, అది అర ణ్యము గనుక మీరు దానిని నరకుడి, అప్పుడు ఆ ప్రదే శము మీదగును; కనానీయులకు ఇనుపరథములుండినను వారు బలవంతులైయుండినను మీరు వారి దేశమును స్వాధీన పరచుకొనగలరనెను.

18. Therefore the mountaine shall be thine: for it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it downe: and the endes of it shall be thine, and thou shalt cast out the Canaanites, though they haue yron charets, and though they be strong.
