1. చుట్టునున్న వారి శత్రువులలో ఎవరును వారి మీదికి రాకుండ యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు నెమ్మది కలుగ జేసినమీదట అనేక దినములైన తరువాత యెహోషువ బహు సంవత్సరములుగల వృద్ధుడాయెను.

1. A long time afterwards, when ADONAI had given Isra'el rest from all their surrounding enemies, and Y'hoshua was old, with age taking its toll,

2. అప్పు డతడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులనందరిని వారి పెద్దలను వారి ముఖ్యులను వారి న్యాయాధిపతులను వారి నాయకు లను పిలిపించి వారితో ఇట్లనెనునేను బహు సంవ త్సరములు గడచిన ముసలివాడను.

2. Y'hoshua summoned all Isra'el- their leaders, heads, judges and officials- and said to them, 'I am old; age is taking its toll.

3. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ నిమిత్తము సమస్తజనములకు చేసిన దంతయు మీరు చూచితిరి. మీ నిమిత్తము యుద్ధము చేసినవాడు మీ దేవుడైన యెహో వాయే.

3. You have seen everything that ADONAI your God has done to all these nations because of you, for it is ADONAI your God who has fought on your behalf.

4. చూడుడి, యొర్దాను మొదలుకొని తూర్పు దిక్కున మహాసముద్రము వరకు నేను నిర్మూలము చేసిన సమస్త జనముల దేశమును, మీ గోత్రముల స్వాస్థ్యముమధ్య మిగిలియున్న యీ జనముల దేశమును మీకు వంతుచీట్లవలన పంచిపెట్టితిని.

4. Here, I have allotted to you land for inheritance according to your tribes between the Yarden and the Great Sea to the west; it includes the land of the nations I have destroyed and the nations which remain.

5. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాయే వారిని మీ యెదుట నిలువ కుండ వెళ్లగొట్టిన తరువాత మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీతో సెలవిచ్చినట్లు మీరు వారి దేశమును స్వాధీన పరచుకొందురు.

5. ADONAI your God will thrust them out ahead of you and drive them out of your sight, so that you will possess their land, as ADONAI your God told you.

6. కాబట్టి మీరు మోషే ధర్మశాస్త్ర గ్రంథములో వ్రాయబడినదంతటిని గైకొని అనుసరించు టకు మనస్సు దృఢము చేసికొని, యెడమకు గాని కుడికి గాని దానినుండి తొలగిపోక

6. Therefore be very firm about keeping and doing everything written in the book of the [Torah] of Moshe and not turning aside from it either to the right or to the left.

7. మీయొద్ద మిగిలియున్న యీజనుల సహవాసము చేయక వారి దేవతల పేళ్లను ఎత్తక వాటి తోడని ప్రమాణము చేయక వాటిని పూజింపక వాటికి నమస్కరింపక

7. Then you won't become like those nations remaining among you. Don't even mention the name of their gods, let alone have people swear by them, serve them or worship them;

8. మీరు నేటివరకు చేసినట్లు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను హత్తుకొని యుండవలెను.

8. but cling to ADONAI your God, as you have done to this day.

9. యెహోవా బలముగల గొప్ప జనములను మీ యెదుట నుండి కొట్టివేసియున్నాడు, మీ యెదుట నేటివరకును ఏ మనుష్యుడును నిలిచియుండలేదు.

9. This is why ADONAI has driven out great, strong nations ahead of you; and it explains why no one has prevailed against you to this day,

10. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకిచ్చిన మాటచొప్పున తానే మీకొరకు యుద్ధము చేయువాడు గనుక మీలో ఒకడు వేయిమందిని తరుమును

10. why one man of you has chased a thousand- it is because ADONAI your God has fought on your behalf, as he said to you.

11. కాబట్టి మీరు బహు జాగ్రత్తపడి మీ దేవు డైన యెహోవాను ప్రేమింపవలెను.

11. 'Therefore take great care to love ADONAI your God.

12. అయితే మీరు వెనుకకు తొలగి మీయొద్ద మిగిలి యున్న యీ జనములను హత్తుకొని వారితో వియ్యమంది, వారితో మీరును మీతో వారును సాంగత్యము చేసిన యెడల

12. Otherwise, if you retreat and cling to the remnant of these other nations remaining among you, if you make marriages with them and have children with them and they with you,

13. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ యెదుటనుండి యీ జనములను కొట్టివేయుట మానును. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకిచ్చిన యీ మంచి దేశములో ఉండకుండ మీరు నశించువరకు వారు మీకు ఉరిగాను బోనుగాను మీ ప్రక్కల మీద కొరడాలుగాను మీ కన్నులలో ముళ్లుగాను ఉందురు.

13. know for certain that ADONAI your God will stop driving out these nations from your sight. Instead, they will become a snare and a trap for you, whipping your sides and pricking your eyes, until you perish from this good land which ADONAI your God has given you.

14. ఇదిగో నేడు నేను సర్వ లోకుల మార్గమున వెళ్లుచున్నాను. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ విషయమై సెలవిచ్చిన మంచి మాటలన్నిటిలో ఒక్కటియైనను తప్పియుండలేదని మీరు అనుభవ పూర్వకముగా ఎరుగుదురు; అవి అన్నియు మీకు కలిగెను, వాటిలో ఒక్కటియైనను తప్పియుండలేదు.

14. 'Today I am going the way of all the earth. Therefore consider in all your heart and being that not one of all the good things ADONAI your God said concerning you has failed to happen; it has all come to pass; nothing of it has failed.

15. అయితే మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీతో చెప్పిన మేలంతయు మీకు కలిగిన ప్రకారము మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ కిచ్చిన యీ మంచి దేశములో ఉండకుండ ఆయన మిమ్ము నశింపజేయువరకు యెహోవా మీ మీదికి కీడంతయు రాజేయును.

15. Nevertheless, just as all the good things ADONAI your God promised you have come upon you, likewise ADONAI will bring upon you all the bad things too, until he has destroyed you from this good land which ADONAI your God has given you.

16. మీరు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకు నియ మించిన ఆయన నిబంధనను మీరి యితర దేవతలను పూజించి వాటికి నమస్కరించినయెడల యెహోవా కోపము మీ మీద మండును గనుక ఆయన మీకిచ్చిన యీ మంచి దేశ ములో నుండ కుండ మీరు శీఘ్రముగా నశించి పోవుదురు.

16. When you violate the covenant of ADONAI your God, which he ordered you to obey, and go and serve other gods and worship them, then the anger of ADONAI will blaze up against you; and you will perish quickly from the good land which he has given you!'
