1. అటుతరువాత మహాధికారముగల వేరొక దూత పరలోకమునుండి దిగివచ్చుట చూచితిని. అతని మహిమచేత భూమి ప్రకాశించెను.

1. And after that I saw another angel come from heaven, having great power, and the earth was lightened with his brightness.

2. And he cried mightily with a strong voice saying: Great Babylon is fallen is fallen,(She is fallen, she is fallen, even great Babylon) and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of all foul spirits, and a cage of all unclean and hateful birds,

3. ఏలయనగా సమస్తమైన జనములు మోహోద్రేకముతో కూడిన దాని వ్యభిచార మద్యమును త్రాగి పడిపోయిరి, భూరాజులు దానితో వ్యభిచరించిరి, భూలోకమందలి వర్తకులు దాని సుఖభోగములవలన ధనవంతులైరి.

3. for all nations have drunken of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.(whoredom) And the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and her merchants are waxed rich of the abundance of her pleasures.

6. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and give her double according to her works. And pour in double to her in the same cup which she filled unto you.

7. And as much as she glorified herself and lived wantonly, so much pour ye in for her of punishment, and sorrow, for she said in her heart: I sit being a queen and am no widow and shall see no sorrow.

8. అందుచేత ఒక్క దినముననే దాని తెగుళ్లు, అనగా మరణమును దుఃఖమును కరవును వచ్చును; దానికి తీర్పు తీర్చుచున్న దేవుడైన ప్రభువు బలిష్ఠుడు గనుక అది అగ్నిచేత బొత్తిగా కాల్చివేయబడును.

8. Therefore shall her plagues come at one day, death, and sorrow, and hunger, and she shall be brent with fire: for strong is the Lord God which judgeth her.(shall judge her)

9. And the kings of the earth shall beweep her and wail over her, which have committed fornication with her, and have lived wantonly with her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

10. దాని విషయమై రొమ్ము కొట్టుకొనుచు ఏడ్చుచు - అయ్యో, అయ్యో, బబులోను మహాపట్టణమా, బలమైన పట్టణమా, ఒక్క గడియలోనే నీకు తీర్పువచ్చెను గదా అని చెప్పుకొందురు.

10. and shall stand afar off, for fear of her punishment, saying: Alas, Alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city: For at one hour is her judgment come.

11. And the merchants of the earth shall weep and wail in themselves, for no man will buy their ware any more,

12. the ware of gold and silver, and precious stones, neither of pearl, and raynes,(silk) and purple, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and of iron,

13. and cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, beasts,(cattle) and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and bodies and souls of men.

14. నీ ప్రాణమునకు ఇష్టమైన ఫలములు నిన్ను విడిచిపోయెను, రుచ్యమైనవన్నియు దివ్యమైనవన్నియు నీకు దొరకకుండ నశించి పోయినవి, అవి యికమీదట కనబడనే కనబడవని చెప్పు కొనుచు, దానిగూర్చి దుఃఖపడుదురు.

14. And the apples that thy soul lusted after, are departed from thee. And all things which were dainty, and had in price are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more.

15. The merchants of these things which were waxed rich (by her) shall stand afar off from her, for fear of the punishment of her, weeping and wailing,

16. అయ్యో, అయ్యో, సన్నపు నారబట్టలను ధూమ్రరక్త వర్ణపు వస్త్రములను ధరించుకొని, బంగారముతోను రత్నములతోను ముత్యములతోను అలంకరింపబడిన మహాపట్టణమా, యింత ఐశ్వర్యము ఒక్క గడియలోనే పాడైపోయెనే అని చెప్పుకొనుచు, దాని బాధను చూచి భయాక్రాంతులై దూరముగా నిలుచుందురు.

16. and saying: Alas alas, that great city, that was clothed in raynes,(silk) and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stone, and pearls:

17. for at one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every ship governor, and all they that occupied ships, and shipmen which work in the sea, stood afar off,

18. and cried, when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying: what city is like unto this great city?

19. తమ తలలమీద దుమ్ముపోసి కొని యేడ్చుచు దుఃఖించుచు అయ్యో, అయ్యో, ఆ మహాపట్టణము; అందులో సముద్రముమీద ఓడలుగల వారందరు, దానియందలి అధిక వ్యయముచేత ధనవంతులైరి; అది ఒక్క గడియలో పాడైపోయెనే అని చెప్పుకొనుచు కేకలు వేయుచుండిరి.

19. And they cast dust on their heads, and cried weeping, and wailing, and said: Alas Alas that great city wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea, by the reason of her ware,(costliness) for at one hour is she made desolate.

20. పరలోకమా, పరిశుద్ధులారా, అపొస్తలులారా, ప్రవక్తలారా, దానిగూర్చి ఆనం దించుడి, ఏలయనగా దానిచేత మీకు కలిగిన తీర్పుకు ప్రతిగా దేవుడు ఆ పట్టణమునకు తీర్పు తీర్చియున్నాడు.

20. Rejoice over her thou heaven, and ye holy apostles, and prophets: for God hath given your judgement on her.

21. తరువాత బలిష్ఠుడైన యొక దూత గొప్ప తిరుగటి రాతివంటి రాయి యెత్తి సముద్రములో పడవేసి ఈలాగు మహాపట్టణమైన బబులోను వేగముగా పడద్రోయబడి ఇక ఎన్నటికిని కనబడకపోవును.

21. And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying: with such violence shall that great city Babylon be cast, and shall be found no more.

22. And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more in thee: and no crafts man, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee, and the sound of a mill shall be heard no more in thee,

23. దీపపు వెలుగు నీలో ఇకను ప్రకాశింపనే ప్రకాశింపదు, పెండ్లి కుమారుని స్వరమును పెండ్లికుమార్తె స్వరమును నీలో ఇక ఎన్నడును వినబడవు అని చెప్పెను.

23. and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride, shall be heard no more in thee: for thy merchants were the great men(princes) of the earth. And with thine enchantment were deceived all nations:
