1. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు తమలో ఎవడును తన కుమార్తెను బెన్యామీనీయుని కియ్యకూడదని మిస్పాలో ప్రమాణము చేసికొనియుండిరి.

1. Moreouer, the men of Israel sware in Mizpeh, saying, None of vs shall giue his daughter vnto the Beniamites to wyfe.

2. ప్రజలు బేతేలుకు వచ్చి దేవుని సన్ని ధిని సాయంకాలమువరకు కూర్చుండి

2. And the people came vnto ye house of God and abode there till euen before God, and lift vp their voyces, and wept with great lamentation,

3. యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవా, నేడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో ఒక గోత్రము లేకపోయెను. ఇది ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు సంభ వింపనేల అని బహుగా ఏడ్చిరి.

3. And sayde, O Lord God of Israel, why is this come to passe in Israel, that this day one tribe of Israel should want?

4. మరునాడు జనులు వేకువనే లేచి అక్కడ బలిపీఠమును కట్టి దహనబలులను సమాధానబలులను అర్పించిరి.

4. And on the morow the people rose vp and made there an altar, and offred burnt offrings and peace offrings.

5. అప్పుడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రములన్నిటిలో మిస్పాలో యెహోవా పక్షమున రాకపోయినవారెవరని విచారించిరి. ఏలయనగా అట్టివారికి నిశ్చయముగా మరణశిక్ష విధింప వలెనని ఖండితముగా ప్రమాణము చేసియుండిరి.

5. Then the children of Israel said, Who is he among all the tribes of Israel, that came not vp with the Congregation vnto the Lord? for they had made a great othe concerning him that came not vp to the Lord to Mizpeh, saying, Let him die the death.

6. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు తమ సహోదరులైన బెన్యామీనీయులను గూర్చి పశ్చాత్తాపపడినేడు ఒక గోత్రము ఇశ్రా యేలీయులలో నుండకుండ కొట్టివేయబడియున్నది;

6. And the children of Israel were sory for Beniamin their brother, and said, There is one tribe cut off from Israel this day.

7. మిగిలియున్నవారికి భార్యలు దొరుకునట్లు మనము మన కుమార్తెలను వారికి పెండ్లి చేయమని యెహోవా తోడని ప్రమాణము చేసితివిుగదా; వారి విషయములో ఏమి చేయ గలము? అని చెప్పుకొనిరి.

7. How shall we do for wiues to them that remaine, seeing we haue sworne by the Lord, that we will not giue them of our daughters to wiues?

8. మరియు వారు ఇశ్రాయేలీ యుల గోత్రములలో యెహోవా పక్షమున మిస్పాకు రానిది ఏదని విచా రింపగా

8. Also they saide, Is there any of the tribes of Israel that came not vp to Mizpeh to the Lord? and beholde, there came none of Iabesh Gilead vnto the hoste and to the Congregation.

9. సమాజమునకుచేరిన యాబేష్గి లాదునుండి సేనలోనికి ఎవడును రాలేదని తేలెను. జన సంఖ్య చేసినప్పుడు యాబేష్గిలాదు నివాసులలో ఒకడును అక్కడ ఉండలేదు.

9. For when the people were vewed; beholde, none of the inhabitants of Iabesh Gilead were there.

10. కాబట్టి సమాజపు వారు పరా క్రమవంతులైన పండ్రెండు వేలమంది మనుష్యులను పంపించి మీరు పోయి స్త్రీల నేమి పిల్లల నేమి యాబేష్గిలాదు నివాసులనందరిని కత్తివాతను హతము చేయుడి.

10. Therefore the Congregation sent thither twelue thousande men of the most valiant, and commanded them, saying, Goe, and smite the inhabitants of Iabesh Gilead with the edge of the sword, both women, and children.

11. మీరు చేయవలసినదేమనగా, ప్రతి పురుషుని పురుషసంయోగము నెరిగిన ప్రతి స్త్రీని నశింపజేయవలెనని చెప్పిరి.

11. And this is it that ye shall do: ye shall vtterly destroye all the males and all the women that haue lien by men.

12. యాబేష్గి లాదు నివాసులలో పురుషసంయోగము నెరుగని నాలుగు వందలమంది కన్యలైన స్త్రీలు దొరుకగా కనాను దేశ మందలి షిలోహులోనున్న సేనలోనికి వారిని తీసికొనివచ్చిరి.

12. And they found among the inhabitants of Iabesh Gilead foure hundreth maides, virgins that had knowne no man by lying with any male: and they brought them vnto the hoste to Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan.

13. ఆ సర్వసమాజము రిమ్మోను కొండలోనున్న బెన్యా మీనీయులతో మాటలాడుటకును వారిని సమాధానపరచు టకును వర్తమానము పంపగా

13. Then the whole Congregation sent and spake with the children of Beniamin that were in the rocke of Rimmon, and called peaceably vnto them:

14. ఆ వేళను బెన్యా మీనీ యులు తిరిగి వచ్చిరి. అప్పుడు వారు తాము యాబేష్గి లాదు స్త్రీలలో బ్రదుకనిచ్చినవారిని వారికిచ్చి పెండ్లి చేసిరి. ఆ స్త్రీలు వారికి చాలక పోగా

14. And Beniamin came againe at that time, and they gaue them wiues which they had saued aliue of the women of Iabesh Gilead: but they had not so ynough for them.

15. యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రములలో లోపము కలుగజేసి యుండుట జనులు చూచి బెన్యామీనీయులనుగూర్చి పశ్చాత్తాపపడిరి.

15. And the people were sorie for Beniamin, because the Lord had made a breach in the tribes of Israel.

16. సమాజప్రధానులు బెన్యామీను గోత్రములో స్త్రీలు నశించియుండుట చూచి మిగిలినవారికి భార్యలు దొరుకు నట్లు మనమేమి చేయుదమని యోచించుకొని

16. Therefore the Elders of the Congregation said, How shall we doe for wiues to the remnant? for the women of Beniamin are destroyed.

17. ఇశ్రా యేలీయులలోనుండి ఒక గోత్రము తుడిచివేయ బడకుండు నట్లు బెన్యామీనీయులలో తప్పించుకొనిన వారికి స్వాస్థ్య ముండవలెననిరి.

17. And they saide, there must be an inheritance for them that be escaped of Beniamin, that a tribe be not destroyed out of Israel.

18. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో ఎవడైనను తన కుమార్తెను బెన్యామీనీయునికి ఇచ్చిన యెడల వాడు నిర్మూలము చేయబడునని ప్రమాణము చేసియున్నాము గనుక మనము మన కుమార్తెలను వారికి పెండ్లి చేయకూడ దని చెప్పుకొనుచుండిరి.

18. Howbeit we may not giue them wiues of our daughters: for the childre of Israel had sworne, saying, Cursed be he that giueth a wise to Beniamin.

19. కాగా వారు బెన్యామీనీయు లతో ఇట్లనిరిఇదిగో బేతేలుకు ఉత్తరదిక్కున బేతేలు నుండి షెకెమునకు పోవు రాజమార్గమునకు తూర్పుననున్న లెబోనాకు దక్షిణ దిక్కున యెహోవాకు పండుగ ఏటేట షిలోహులో జరుగునని చెప్పి బెన్యామీనీయులను చూచి

19. Therefore they said, Beholde, there is a feast of the Lord euery yere in Shiloh in a place, which is on the Northside of Beth-el, and on the Eastside of the way that goeth vp from Beth-el to Shechem, and on the South of Lebonah.

20. మీరు వెళ్లి ద్రాక్షతోటలలో మాటుననుండి షిలోహు స్త్రీలు నాట్యమాడువారితో కలిసి నాట్యమాడుటకు బయలు దేరగా

20. Therefore they commanded the children of Beniamin, saying, Goe, and lye in waite in the vineyardes.

21. ద్రాక్షతోటలలోనుండి బయలు దేరివచ్చి పెండ్లి చేసికొనుటకు ప్రతివాడును షిలోహు స్త్రీలలో ఒకదాని పట్టుకొని బెన్యామీనీయుల దేశమునకు పారిపోవుడి.

21. And when ye see that the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance in dances, then come ye out of the vineyards, and catche you euery man a wife of the daughters of Shiloh, and goe into the land of Beniamin.

22. తరువాత వారి తండ్రులైనను సహో దరులైనను వాదించుటకు మీయొద్దకు వచ్చినయెడల మేము ఆ యుద్ధమును బట్టి వారిలో ప్రతివానికిని పెండ్లికి స్త్రీ దొరకలేదు గనుక ఈ స్త్రీలను దయచేసి మాకియ్యుడి, ఈ సమయమున వారికిచ్చినయెడల మీరు అపరాధులగుదురు గనుక మాకిచ్చినట్లుగా ఇయ్యుడని వారితో చెప్పెద మనిరి.

22. And when their fathers or their brethren come vnto vs to complaine, we wil say vnto them, Haue pitie on them for our sakes, because we reserued not to eche man his wife in the warre, and because ye haue not giuen vnto them hitherto, ye haue sinned.

23. కాగా బెన్యామీనీయులు అట్లు చేసి తమ లెక్క చొప్పున నాట్యమాడిన వారిలోనుండి స్త్రీలను పట్టుకొని వారిని తీసికొని పోయి తమ స్వాస్థ్యమునకు వెళ్లి పట్టణములను కట్టి వాటిలో నివసించిరి.

23. And the children of Beniamin did so, and tooke wiues of them that danced according to their nomber: which they tooke, and went away, and returned to their inheritance, and repaired the cities and dwelt in them.

24. అటుపిమ్మట ఇశ్రా యేలీయులలో ప్రతివాడును అక్కడనుండి తమ గోత్ర స్థానములకును కుటుంబములకును పోయెను. అందరును అక్కడనుండి బయలుదేరి తమ స్వాస్థ్యములకు పోయిరి.

24. So the children of Israel departed thence at that time, euery man to his tribe, and to his familie, and went out from thence euery man to his inheritance.

25. ఆ దినములలో ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు రాజు లేడు; ప్రతి వాడును తన తన ఇష్టానుసారముగా ప్రవర్తించుచువచ్చెను.

25. In those dayes there was no King in Israel, but euery man did that which was good in his eyes.
