1. అప్పుడు సమూయేలు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరితో ఇట్లనెనుఆలకించుడి; మీరు నాతో చెప్పినమాట నంగీకరించి మీమీద ఒకని రాజుగా నియమించి యున్నాను.

1. And Samuel said unto all Israel, Lo! I have hearkened unto your voice, in all that ye said to me, and have set over you a king.

2. రాజు మీ కార్యములను జరిగించును. నేను తల నెరిసిన ముసలివాడను, నా కుమారులు, మీ మధ్యనున్నారు; బాల్యమునాటినుండి నేటివరకు నేను మీ కార్యములను జరిగించుచు వచ్చితిని.

2. Now, therefore, lo! the king going to and fro before you, But, I, am old and grey-headed, and, my sons, lo! they are with you, But, I, have gone to and fro before you from my youth until this day.

3. ఇదిగో నేనున్నాను, నేనెవని యెద్దునైన తీసికొంటినా? ఎవని గార్దభమునైన పట్టు కొంటినా? ఎవనికైన అన్యాయము చేసితినా? ఎవనినైన బాధపెట్టితినా? న్యాయము నాకు అగపడకుండ ఎవని యొద్దనైన లంచము పుచ్చుకొంటినా? ఆలాగు చేసినయెడల యెహోవా సన్నిధిని ఆయన అభిషేకము చేయించిన వాని యెదుటను వాడు నా మీద సాక్ష్యము పలుకవలెను, అప్పుడు నేను మీ యెదుట దానిని మరల నిత్తు ననెను.

3. Behold me! testify against me, before Yahweh, and before his Anointed Whose, ox, have I taken? or whose, ass, have I taken? or whom have I oppressed? Whom have I crushed? or at whose, hands, have I taken a bribe, to cover up mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it unto you.

4. నీవు మాకు ఏ అన్యాయమైనను ఏ బాధనైనను చేయలేదు; ఏ మనుష్యునియొద్దగాని నీవు దేనినైనను తీసికొనలేదని వారు చెప్పగా

4. And they said, Thou hast not oppressed us, neither hast thou crushed us, neither hast thou taken, at the hand of any man, any thing.

5. అతడు అట్టిది నాయొద్ద ఏదియు మీకు దొరకదని యెహోవాయును ఆయన అభిషేకము చేయించినవాడును ఈ దినమున మీ మీద సాక్షులై యున్నారు అని చెప్పినప్పుడుసాక్షులే అని వారు ప్రత్యుత్తరమిచ్చిరి.

5. And he said unto them Witness, is Yahweh against you, and, witness, is his Anointed, this day, that ye have not found in my hand, any thing! And they said: Witness!

6. మరియు సమూయేలు జనులతో ఇట్లనెనుమోషేను అహరోనును నిర్ణయించి మీ పితరులను ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి రప్పించినవాడు యెహోవాయే గదా

6. And Samuel said unto the people: Witness, is Yahweh, who wrought with Moses and with Aaron, and who brought up your fathers out of the land of Egypt.

7. కాబట్టి యెహోవా మీకును మీ పితరులకును చేసిన నీతికార్యములనుబట్టి యెహోవా సన్ని ధిని నేను మీతో వాదించునట్లు మీరు ఇక్కడ నిలిచి యుండుడి

7. Now, therefore, take your stand and let me plead with you, before Yahweh, and tell you all the righteous acts of Yahweh, which he wrought with you, and with your fathers:

8. యాకోబు ఐగుప్తునకు వచ్చిన పిమ్మట మీ పితరులు యెహోవాకు మొఱ్ఱపెట్టగా ఆయన మోషే అహరోనులను పంపినందున వారు మీ పితరులను ఐగుప్తు లోనుండి తోడుకొని వచ్చి యీ స్థలమందు నివసింప జేసిరి.

8. How that, when Jacob had come into Egypt, and your fathers had made outcry unto Yahweh, then Yahweh sent Moses and Aaron, and they brought forth your fathers out of Egypt, and he caused them to dwell in this place;

9. అయితే వారు తమ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను మరచినప్పుడు ఆయన వారిని హాసోరుయొక్క సేనాధిపతి యైన సీసెరా చేతికిని ఫిలిష్తీయుల చేతికిని మోయాబు రాజుచేతికిని అమ్మివేయగా వారు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులతో యుద్ధము చేసిరి.

9. And, when they forgat Yahweh their God, he sold them into the hand of Sisera, prince of the host of Jabin, king of Hazor, and into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the king of Moab, and they fought against them;

10. అంతట వారుమేము యెహోవానువిసర్జించి బయలు దేవతలను అష్తారోతు దేవతలను పూజించి నందున పాపము చేసితివిు; మా శత్రువుల చేతిలోనుండి నీవు మమ్మును విడిపించినయెడల మేము నిన్ను సేవించెద మని యెహోవాకు మొఱ్ఱపెట్టగా

10. But, when they made outcry unto Yahweh and said We have sinned, in that we have forsaken Yahweh, and have served the Baals and the Ashtoreths, now, therefore, deliver us out of the hand of our enemies, that we may serve thee,

11. యెహోవా యెరు బ్బయలును బెదానును యెఫ్తాను సమూయేలును పంపి, నలుదిశల మీ శత్రువుల చేతిలోనుండి మిమ్మును విడిపించి నందున మీరు నిర్భయముగా కాపురము చేయుచున్నారు.

11. then Yahweh sent Jerubbaal and Bedan, and Jephthah, and Samuel, and delivered you out of the hand of your enemies, on every side, and ye dwelt in safety.

12. అయితే అమ్మోనీయుల రాజైన నాహాషు మీ మీదికి వచ్చుట మీరు చూడగానే, మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకు రాజైయున్నను ఆయన కాదు, ఒక రాజు మిమ్మును ఏలవలెనని మీరు నాతో చెప్పితిరి.

12. But, when ye saw that, Nahash king of the sons of Ammon, came upon you, then said ye unto me, Nay! but, a king, shall reign over us, when, Yahweh your God, was your king!

13. కాబట్టి మీరు కోరి యేర్పరచుకొనిన రాజు ఇతడే. యెహోవా ఇతనిని మీమీద రాజుగా నిర్ణయించి యున్నాడు.

13. Now, therefore, lo! the king whom ye have chosen, for whom ye have asked, lo! therefore, Yahweh hath set over you a king.

14. మీరు యెహోవా యందు భయభక్తులు కలిగి ఆయన మాటను విని ఆయనను సేవించి ఆయన ఆజ్ఞను భంగముచేయక మీరును మిమ్మును ఏలు రాజును మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను అనుసరించినయెడల మీకు క్షేమము కలుగును.

14. If ye will revere Yahweh, and serve him, and hearken unto his voice, and not rebel against the bidding of Yahweh, then shall, both ye and your king that reigneth over you, continue to follow after Yahweh your God.

15. అయితే యెహోవా మాట వినక ఆయన ఆజ్ఞను భంగము చేసినయెడల యెహోవా హస్తము మీ పితరులకు విరోధ ముగా నుండినట్లు మీకును విరోధముగా నుండును.

15. But, if ye hearken not unto the voice of Yahweh, but rebel against the bidding of Yahweh, then will the hand of Yahweh continue to be against you, and against your fathers.

16. మీరు నిలిచి చూచుచుండగా యెహోవా జరిగించు ఈ గొప్ప కార్యమును కనిపెట్టుడి.

16. Even now, stand still and see this great thing, which Yahweh is about to do before your eyes:

17. గోధుమ కోతకాలము ఇదే గదా? మీరు రాజును నిర్ణయింపుమని అడిగినందుచేత యెహోవా దృష్టికి మీరు చేసిన కీడు గొప్పదని మీరు గ్రహించి తెలిసికొనుటకై యెహోవా ఉరుములను వర్షమును పంపునట్లుగా నేను ఆయనను వేడుకొనుచున్నాను.

17. Is it not wheat harvest, to-day? I will cry unto Yahweh, that he may give forth thunderings and rain, know ye then and see, that, your wrong, is great which ye have done in the sight of Yahweh, in asking for yourselves, a king.

18. సమూయేలు యెహోవాను వేడుకొనినప్పుడు యెహోవా ఆ దినమున ఉరుములను వర్షమును పంపగా జనులందరు యెహోవాకును సమూయేలునకును బహుగా భయపడి

18. So Samuel cried unto Yahweh, and Yahweh gave forth thunderings and rain, on that day, and all the people greatly feared Yahweh, and Samuel.

19. సమూయేలుతో ఇట్లనిరిరాజును నియమించుమని మేము అడుగుటచేత మా పాపములన్నిటిని మించిన కీడు మేము చేసితివిు. కాబట్టి మేము మరణము కాకుండ నీ దాసులమైన మా కొరకు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను ప్రార్థించుము.

19. And all the people said unto Samuel Pray for thy servants, unto Yahweh thy God, and let it not be that we die, For we have added, to all our sins, a wrong, in asking for ourselves a king.

20. అంతట సమూయేలు జనులతో ఇట్లనెనుభయపడకుడి, మీరు ఈ కీడు చేసిన మాట నిజమే, అయి నను యెహోవాను విసర్జింపకుండ ఆయనను అనుసరించుచు పూర్ణహృదయముతో ఆయనను సేవించుడి.

20. Then said Samuel unto the people Do not fear, ye, have done all this wrong, nevertheless, do not turn aside from following Yahweh, but serve Yahweh, with all your heart;

21. ఆయనను విసర్జింపకుడి, ఆయనను విసర్జింపువారు ప్రయోజనము మాలినవై రక్షింపలేని మాయా స్వరూపములను అను సరించుదురు. నిజముగా అవి మాయయే.

21. and turn not aside after vanities, that can neither profit nor deliver, because, vanities, they are.

22. యెహోవా మిమ్మును తనకు జనముగా చేసికొనుటకు ఇష్టము గలిగి యున్నాడు; తన ఘనమైన నామము నిమిత్తము తన జనులను ఆయన విడనాడడు.
రోమీయులకు 11:1-2

22. For Yahweh will not give up his people, because of his great name, for Yahweh was minded to make you his people.

23. నా మట్టుకు నేను మీ నిమిత్తము ప్రార్థన చేయుట మానుటవలన యెహోవాకు విరోధముగ పాపము చేసినవాడ నగుదును. అది నాకు దూరమగునుగాక. కాని శ్రేష్ఠమైన చక్కని మార్గమును మీకు బోధింతును.

23. As for me also, far be it from me, that I should sin against Yahweh, by ceasing to pray for you, but I will direct you, in the good and right way.

24. ఆయన మీకొరకు ఎన్ని గొప్ప కార్యములను చేసెనో అది మీరు తలంచుకొని, మీరు యెహోవాయందు భయభక్తులు కలిగి, నిష్కపటులై పూర్ణహృదయముతో ఆయనను సేవించుట ఆవశ్యకము.

24. Only, revere Yahweh, and serve him in truth, with all your heart, for see, what great things he hath done with you.

25. మీరు కీడుచేయువారైతే తప్పకుండ మీరును మీ రాజును నాశనమగుదురు.

25. But, if ye, will do wrong, both ye and your king shall be swept away.
