1. Hannah then prayed as follows: My heart exults in Yahweh, in my God is my strength lifted up, my mouth derides my foes, for I rejoice in your deliverance.

2. యెహోవావంటి పరిశుద్ధ దేవుడు ఒకడునులేడు నీవు తప్ప మరి ఏ దేవుడును లేడుమన దేవునివంటి ఆశ్రయదుర్గమేదియు లేదు.

2. There is no Holy One like Yahweh, (indeed, there is none but you) no Rock like our God.

3. యెహోవా అనంతజ్ఞానియగు దేవుడు ఆయనే క్రియలను పరీక్షించువాడుఇకను అంత గర్వముగా మాటలాడకుడిగర్వపుమాటలు మీ నోట రానియ్యకుడి.

3. Do not keep talking so proudly, let no arrogance come from your mouth, for Yahweh is a wise God, his to weigh up deeds.

4. ప్రఖ్యాతినొందిన విలుకాండ్రు ఓడిపోవుదురుతొట్రిల్లినవారు బలము ధరించుదురు.

4. The bow of the mighty has been broken but those who were tottering are now braced with strength.

5. తృప్తిగా భుజించినవారు అన్నము కావలెనని కూలికిపోవుదురుఆకలి గొనినవారు ఆకలితీర తిందురు గొడ్రాలు ఏడుగురు పిల్లలను కనును అనేకమైన పిల్లలను కనినది కృశించి పోవును.
లూకా 1:53

5. The full fed are hiring themselves out for bread but the hungry need labour no more; the barren woman bears sevenfold but the mother of many is left desolate.

6. జనులను సజీవులనుగాను మృతులనుగాను చేయువాడు యెహోవాయేపాతాళమునకు పంపుచు అందులోనుండి రప్పించుచుండువాడు ఆయనే.

6. Yahweh gives death and life, brings down to Sheol and draws up;

7. యెహోవా దారిద్ర్యమును ఐశ్వర్యమును కలుగజేయు వాడు క్రుంగజేయువాడును లేవనెత్తువాడును ఆయనే.
లూకా 1:52

7. Yahweh makes poor and rich, he humbles and also exalts.

8. దరిద్రులను అధికారులతో కూర్చుండబెట్టుటకును మహిమగల సింహాసనమును స్వతంత్రింపజేయుటకును వారిని మంటిలోనుండి యెత్తువాడు ఆయనే లేమిగలవారిని పెంటకుప్ప మీది నుండి లేవనెత్తు వాడు ఆయనే. భూమియొక్క స్తంభములు యెహోవా వశము, లోకమును వాటిమీద ఆయన నిలిపియున్నాడు.

8. He raises the poor from the dust, he lifts the needy from the dunghill to give them a place with princes, to assign them a seat of honour; for to Yahweh belong the pillars of the earth, on these he has poised the world.

9. తన భక్తుల పాదములు తొట్రిల్లకుండ ఆయన వారిని కాపాడును. దుర్మార్గులు అంధకారమందు మాటుమణుగుదురు బలముచేత ఎవడును జయము నొందడు.

9. He safeguards the steps of his faithful but the wicked vanish in darkness (for human strength can win no victories).

10. యెహోవాతో వాదించువారు నాశనమగుదురు పరమండలములో నుండి ఆయన వారిపైన యురుమువలె గర్జించును లోకపు సరిహద్దులలో నుండువారికి ఆయన తీర్పు తీర్చునుతాను నియమించిన రాజునకు ఆయన బలమిచ్చునుతాను అభిషేకించినవానికి అధిక బలము కలుగజేయును.

10. Yahweh, his enemies are shattered, the Most High thunders in the heavens. Yahweh judges the ends of the earth, he endows his king with power, he raises up the strength of his Anointed.

11. తరువాత ఎల్కానా రామాలోని తన యింటికి వెళ్లి పోయెను; అయితే ఆ బాలుడు యాజకుడైన ఏలీ యెదుట యెహోవాకు పరిచర్యచేయుచుండెను.

11. Elkanah then went home to Ramah, but the child stayed in Yahweh's service, in the presence of Eli the priest.

12. ఏలీ కుమారులు యెహోవాను ఎరుగనివారై మిక్కిలి దుర్మార్గులైయుండిరి.

12. Now the sons of Eli were scoundrels; they cared nothing for Yahweh

13. జనులవిషయమై యాజకులు చేయుచు వచ్చిన పని యేమనగా, ఎవడైన బలిపశువును వధించిన మీదట మాంసము ఉడుకుచుండగా యాజకుని వారు మూడు ముండ్లుగల కొంకిని తీసికొనివచ్చి

13. nor for what was due to the priests from the people. Whenever anyone offered a sacrifice, the priest's servant would come with a three-pronged fork in his hand while the meat was being cooked;

14. బొరుసులో గాని తపేలలోగాని గూనలోగాని కుండలోగాని అది గుచ్చినపుడు ఆ కొంకిచేత బయటకు వచ్చినదంతయు యాజకుడు తనకొరకు తీసికొనును. షిలోహుకు వచ్చు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరికిని వీరు ఈలాగున చేయుచువచ్చిరి.

14. he would thrust this into cauldron or pan, or dish or pot, and the priest claimed for his own whatever the fork brought up. That was how they behaved with all the Israelites who came there to Shiloh.

15. ఇదియు గాక వారు క్రొవ్వును దహింపకమునుపు యాజ కుని పనివాడు వచ్చి బలిపశువును వధించువానితో యాజకునికి వండించుటకై మాంసమిమ్ము, ఉడకబెట్టిన మాంసము అతడు నీయొద్ద తీసికొనడు, పచ్చి మాంసమే కావలెను అని చెప్పుచువచ్చెను.

15. The priest's servant would even come up before the fat had been burnt and say to the person who was making the sacrifice, 'Give the priest some meat for him to roast. He will not accept boiled meat from you, only raw.'

16. ఈ క్షణమందే వారు క్రొవ్వును దహింతురు, తరువాత నీ మనస్సు వచ్చి నంతమట్టుకు తీసికొనవచ్చునని వానితో ఆ మనిషి చెప్పిన యెడల వాడుఆలాగువద్దు ఇప్పుడే యియ్యవలెను, లేని యెడల బలవంతముచేత తీసికొందుననును.

16. Then, if the person replied, 'Let the fat be burnt first, and then take for yourself whatever you choose,' he would retort, 'No! You must give it to me now or I shall take it by force.'

17. అందువలన జనులు యెహోవాకు నైవేద్యము చేయుటయందు అసహ్య పడుటకు ఆ ¸యౌవనులు కారణమైరి, గనుక వారిపాపము యెహోవా సన్నిధిని బహు గొప్పదాయెను.

17. The young men's sin was very great in Yahweh's eyes, because they treated with contempt the offering made to Yahweh.

18. బాలుడైన సమూయేలు నారతో నేయబడిన ఏఫోదు ధరించుకొని యెహోవాకు పరిచర్యచేయు చుండెను.

18. Samuel was in Yahweh's service, a child wearing a linen loincloth.

19. వాని తల్లి వానికి చిన్న అంగీ ఒకటి కుట్టి యేటేట బలి అర్పించుటకు తన పెనిమిటితోకూడ వచ్చినప్పుడు దాని తెచ్చి వాని కిచ్చుచు వచ్చెను.

19. His mother used to make him a little coat which she brought him each year when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice.

20. యెహోవా సన్నిధిని మనవిచేసికొనగా నీకు దొరకిన యీ సంతానమునకు ప్రతిగా యెహోవా నీకు సంతానము నిచ్చునుగాక అని ఏలీ ఎల్కానాను అతని భార్యను దీవించిన తరువాత వారు ఇంటికి వెళ్లిరి.

20. Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife and say, 'May Yahweh grant you an heir by this woman in exchange for the one which she has made over to Yahweh,' and they would go home.

21. యెహోవా హన్నాను దర్శింపగా ఆమె గర్భవతియై ముగ్గురు కుమాళ్లను ఇద్దరు కుమార్తెలను కనెను. అయితే బాలుడగు సమూయేలు యెహోవా సన్నిధిని ఉండి యెదుగుచుండెను.

21. Yahweh visited Hannah; she conceived and gave birth to three sons and two daughters. Meanwhile, the child Samuel grew up in Yahweh's presence.

22. ఏలీ బహు వృద్ధుడాయెను. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు తన కుమారులు చేసిన కార్యములన్నియు, వారు ప్రత్యక్షపు గుడారముయొక్క ద్వారము దగ్గరకు సేవ చేయుటకువచ్చిన స్త్రీలతో శయనించుటయను మాట చెవిని పడగా వారిని పిలిచి యిట్లనెను

22. Although very old, Eli heard about everything that his sons were doing to all Israel,

23. ఈ జనులముందర మీరుచేసిన చెడ్డకార్యములు నాకు వినబడినవి. ఈలాటి కార్యములు మీరెందుకు చేయుచున్నారు?

23. and said, 'Why are you behaving as all the people say you are?

24. నా కుమారు లారా, యీలాగు చేయవద్దు, నాకు వినబడినది మంచిది కాదు, యెహోవా జనులను మీరు అతిక్రమింపచేయు చున్నారు.

24. No, my sons, what I hear reported by the people of Yahweh is not good.

25. నరునికి నరుడు తప్పుచేసినయెడల దేవుడు విమర్శచేయునుగాని యెవరైన యెహోవా విషయములో పాపము చేసినయెడల వానికొరకు ఎవడు విజ్ఞాపనము చేయును? అనెను. అయితే యెహోవా వారిని చంప దలచి యుండెను గనుక వారు తమ తండ్రియొక్క మొఱ్ఱను వినకపోయిరి.

25. If one person sins against another, God will be the arbiter, but if he sins against Yahweh, who will intercede for him?' But they did not listen to their father's words, for Yahweh was bent on killing them.

26. బాలుడగు సమూయేలు ఇంకను ఎదుగుచు యెహోవా దయయందును మనుష్యుల దయ యందును వర్ధిల్లుచుండెను.

26. Meanwhile, the child Samuel went on growing in stature and in favour both with Yahweh and with people.

27. అంతట దైవజనుడొకడు ఏలీయొద్దకు వచ్చియిట్లనెను యెహోవా నిన్నుగూర్చి సెలవిచ్చినదేమనగా, నీ పిత రుని యింటివారు ఐగుప్తు దేశమందు ఫరో యింటిలో ఉండగా నేను వారికి ప్రత్యక్షమైతిని.

27. A man of God came to Eli and said to him, 'This is what Yahweh says, 'Did I not reveal myself to your father's family when they were in Egypt as slaves in Pharaoh's household?

28. అతడు నా ముందర ఏఫోదును ధరించి నా బలిపీఠముమీద అర్ప ణమును ధూపమును అర్పించుటకై నాకు యాజకుడగునట్లు ఇశ్రాయేలు గోత్రములలోనుండి నే నతని ఏర్పరచు కొంటిని. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు అర్పించిన హోమవస్తువులన్నిటిని నీ పితరుని యింటివారికిచ్చితిని.

28. Did I not single him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to go up to my altar, to burn the offering, to carry the ephod in my presence; and did I not grant all the burnt offerings made by the Israelites to your father's family?

29. నా నివాస స్థలమునకు నేను నిర్ణయించిన బలి నైవేద్యములను మీరేల తృణీకరించుచున్నారు? మిమ్మును క్రొవ్వబెట్టుకొనుటకై నా జనులగు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు చేయు నైవేద్యములలో శ్రేష్ఠభాగములను పట్టుకొనుచు, నాకంటె నీ కుమారులను నీవు గొప్ప చేయుచున్నావు.

29. Why do you trample on the offering and on the sacrifice which I have ordered for my Dwelling, and honour your sons more than me, by growing fat on the best of the offerings of Israel, my people?

30. నీ యింటి వారును నీ పితరుని యింటివారును నా సన్నిధిని యాజ కత్వము జరిగించుదురని యెహోవా ఆజ్ఞ యిచ్చియున్నను ఇప్పుడు అది నా మనస్సునకు కేవలము ప్రతికూలమాయెనని ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చు చున్నాడు. కావున యెహోవా వాక్కు ఏదనగానన్ను ఘనపరచువారిని నేను ఘనపరచుదును. నన్ను తృణీకరించువారు తృణీకారమొందుదురు.

30. Whereas -- this is what Yahweh, God of Israel, declares -- I had promised that your family and your father's family would walk in my presence for ever, now, however -- this is what Yahweh declares -- nothing of the sort! Those who honour me I honour in my turn, and those who despise me will be an object of contempt.

31. ఆలకించుము; రాగల దినములలో నీ బలమును నీ పితరుని యింటి బలమును నేను తక్కువచేతును. నీ యింట ముసలివాడు ఒకడును లేకపోవును.

31. Be sure, the days are coming when I shall cut off your strength and the strength of your father's family, so that no one in your family will live to old age.

32. యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు చేయదలచిన మేలువిషయములో నా నివాసస్థలమునకు అపాయము కలుగగా నీవు చూతువు. ఎప్పటికిని నీ యింట ముసలివాడు ఉండడు.

32. Beside the Dwelling, you will see all the benefits that I shall confer on Israel, but no one in your family will ever live to old age.

33. నా బలిపీఠమునొద్దనెవడు ఉండకుండ నేనందరిని నశింపజేయక విడుచు వాడను గనుక అది నీ కన్నులు క్షీణించుటకును నీవు దుఃఖముచేత క్షయమగుటకును సాధనమగును; నీ సంతానపు వారందరు వయఃకాలమందు మరణమవుదురు.

33. I shall keep one of you at my altar for his eyes to go blind and his soul to wither, but the bulk of your family will die by the sword.

34. నీ యిద్దరు కుమారులైన హొఫ్నీకిని ఫీనెహాసునకును సంభ వించునని నేను చెప్పినదానికి నీకు సూచనగా నుండును. ఒక్క నాటియందే వారిద్దరు మరణమవుదురు.

34. 'What happens to your two sons Hophni and Phinehas will be a sign for you: on the same day both will die.

35. తరువాత నమ్మక మైన ఒక యాజకుని నేను నియమింతును; అతడు నా యోచననుబట్టి నా కనుకూలముగా యాజకత్వము జరిగించును, అతనికి నేను నమ్మకమైన సంతానము పుట్టిం తును, అతడు నా అభిషిక్తుని సన్నిధిని ఎప్పటికిని యాజ కత్వము జరిగించును.

35. I shall raise myself a faithful priest, who will do as I intend and as I desire. I shall build him an enduring House and he will walk in the presence of my Anointed for ever.

36. అయితే నీ యింటివారిలో శేషించినవారు ఒక వెండిరూకనైనను రొట్టెముక్కనైనను సంపా దించుకొనవలెనని అతనియొద్దకు వచ్చి దండముపెట్టి–నేను రొట్టెముక్క తినునట్లుగా దయచేసి యాజకుల ఉద్యోగములలో ఒకదానియందు నన్ను ఉంచుమని అతని వేడుకొందురు

36. The members of your House who survive will come and beg him on their knees for a silver coin and a loaf of bread and say: Please give me some priestly work, so that I can have a scrap of bread to eat.' '
