1. ఇది నోవహు కుమారుడగు షేము హాము యాపెతను వారి వంశావళి. జలప్రళయము తరువాత వారికి కుమారులు పుట్టిరి.

1. THIS IS the history of the generations (descendants) of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The sons born to them after the flood were:

2. యాపెతు కుమారులు గోమెరు మాగోగు మాదయి యావాను తుబాలు మెషెకు తీరసు అనువారు.

2. The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

3. గోమెరు కుమారులు అష్కనజు రీఫతు తోగర్మా అనువారు.

3. The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.

4. యావాను కుమారులు ఏలీషా తర్షీషు కిత్తీము దాదోనీము అనువారు.

4. The sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

5. వీరి నుండి సముద్ర తీరమందుండిన జనములు వ్యాపించెను. వారివారి జాతుల ప్రకారము, వారివారి భాషలప్రకారము, వారివారి వంశముల ప్రకారము, ఆయా దేశములలో వారు వేరైపోయిరి.

5. From these the coastland peoples spread. [These are the sons of Japheth] in their lands, each with his own language, by their families within their nations.

6. హాము కుమారులు కూషు మిస్రాయిము పూతు కనాను అనువారు.

6. The sons of Ham: Cush, Egypt [Mizraim], Put, and Canaan.

7. కూషు కుమారులు సెబా హవీలా సబ్తా రాయమా సబ్తకా అనువారు. రాయమా కుమారులు షేబ దదాను అనువారు.

7. The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca; and the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.

8. కూషు నిమ్రోదును కనెను. అతడు భూమిమీద పరాక్రమశాలియై యుండుటకు ఆరంభించెను.

8. Cush became the father of Nimrod; he was the first to be a mighty man on the earth.

9. అతడు యెహోవా యెదుట పరాక్రమముగల వేటగాడు. కాబట్టి యెహోవా యెదుట పరాక్రమముగల వేటగాడైన నిమ్రోదువలె అను లోకోక్తి కలదు.

9. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord; therefore it is said, Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the Lord.

10. షీనారు దేశములోని బాబెలు ఎరెకు అక్కదు కల్నే అను పట్టణములు అతని రాజ్యమునకు మొదలు.

10. The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar [in Babylonia].

11. ఆ దేశములోనుండి అష్షూరుకు బయలుదేరి వెళ్లి నీనెవెను రహోబోతీరును కాలహును

11. Out of the land he [Nimrod] went forth into Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah,

12. నీనెవెకును కాలహుకును మధ్యనున్న రెసెనును కట్టించెను; ఇదే ఆ మహా పట్టణము.

12. And Resen, which is between Nineveh and Calah; all these [suburbs combined to form] the great city.

13. మిస్రాయిము లూదీయులను అనామీయులను లెహాబీయులను నప్తుహీయులను

13. And Egypt [Mizraim] became the father of Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim,

14. పత్రుసీయులను కస్లూహీయులను కఫ్తోరీయులను కనెను. ఫిలిష్తీయులు కస్లూహీయులలోనుండి వచ్చినవారు.

14. Pathrusim, Casluhim (from whom came the Philistines), and Caphtorim.

15. కనాను తన ప్రథమ కుమారుడగు సీదోనును హేతును యెబూసీయులను అమోరీయులను గిర్గాషీయులను

15. Canaan became the father of Sidon his firstborn, Heth [the Hittites],

16. హివ్వీయులను అర్కీయులను సినీయులను

16. The Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites,

17. అర్వాదీయులను సెమారీయులను హమాతీయులను కనెను.

17. The Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,

18. తరువాత కనానీయుల వంశములు వ్యాపించెను.

18. The Arvadites, the Zemarites and the Hamathites. Afterward the families of the Canaanites spread abroad

19. కనానీయుల సరిహద్దు సీదోనునుండి గెరారుకు వెళ్లు మార్గములో గాజావరకును, సొదొమ గొమొఱ్ఱా అద్మా సెబోయిములకు వెళ్లు మార్గములో లాషా వరకును ఉన్నది.

19. And the territory of the Canaanites extended from Sidon as one goes to Gerar as far as Gaza, and as one goes to Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.

20. వీరు తమతమ వంశముల ప్రకారము తమతమ భాషల ప్రకారము తమతమ దేశములనుబట్టియు జాతులను బట్టియు హాము కుమారులు.

20. These are the sons of Ham by their families, their languages, their lands, and their nations.

21. మరియు ఏబెరుయొక్క కుమారులందరికి పితరుడును, పెద్దవాడయిన యాపెతు సహోదరుడునగు షేముకు కూడ సంతానము పుట్టెను.

21. To Shem also, the younger brother of Japheth and the ancestor of all the children of Eber [including the Hebrews], children were born.

22. షేము కుమారులు ఏలాము అష్షూరు అర్పక్షదు లూదు అరామను వారు.

22. The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram.

23. అరాము కుమారులు ఊజుహూలు గెతెరు మాషనువారు.

23. The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.

24. అర్పక్షదు షేలహును కనెను. షేలహు ఏబెరును కనెను.

24. Arpachshad became the father of Shelah; and Shelah became the father of Eber.

25. ఏబెరుకు ఇద్దరు కుమారులు పుట్టిరి. వారిలో ఒకని పేరు పెలెగు, ఏలయనగా అతని దినములలో భూమి దేశములుగా విభాగింపబడెను. అతని సహోదరుని పేరు యొక్తాను.

25. To Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg [division], because [the inhabitants of] the earth were divided up in his days; and his brother's name was Joktan.

26. యొక్తాను అల్మోదాదును షెలపును హసర్మావెతును యెరహును

26. Joktan became the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,

27. హదోరమును ఊజాలును దిక్లాను

27. Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,

28. ఓబాలును అబీమాయెలును షేబను

28. Obal, Abimael, Sheba,

29. ఓఫీరును హవీలాను యోబాబును కనెను. వీరందరు యొక్తాను కుమారులు.

29. Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.

30. మేషానుండి సపారాకు వెళ్లు మార్గములోని తూర్పు కొండలు వారి నివాసస్థలము.

30. The territory in which they lived extended from Mesha as one goes toward Sephar to the hill country of the east.

31. వీరు తమతమ వంశముల ప్రకారము తమతమ భాషలప్రకారము తమతమ దేశములనుబట్టియు తమతమ జాతులనుబట్టియు షేము కుమారులు.

31. These are Shem's descendants by their families, their languages, their lands, and their nations.

32. వారివారి జనములలో వారివారి సంతతుల ప్రకారము, నోవహు కుమారుల వంశములు ఇవే. జలప్రవాహము గతించిన తరువాత వీరిలోనుండి జనములు భూమిమీద వ్యాపించెను.

32. These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their generations, within their nations; and from these the nations spread abroad on the earth after the flood. [Acts 17:26.]
