1. యెహోవా తాను చెప్పిన ప్రకారము శారాను దర్శించెను. యెహోవా తానిచ్చిన మాటచొప్పున శారాను గూర్చి చేసెను.

1. Now, Yahweh, visited Sarah, as he had said, And Yahweh did for Sarah as he had spoken.

2. ఎట్లనగా దేవుడు అబ్రాహాముతో చెప్పిన నిర్ణయకాలములో శారా గర్భవతియై అతని ముసలి తనమందు అతనికి కుమారుని కనెను.

2. So, Sarah, conceived and bare, to Abraham, a son, for his old age, at the set time, of which God had spoken with him.

3. అప్పుడు అబ్రాహాము తనకు పుట్టిన వాడును తనకు శారా కనిన వాడు నైన తన కుమారునికి ఇస్సాకు అను పేరు పెట్టెను.

3. And Abraham called the name of his son that was born to him, whom, Sarah, bare to him, Isaac.

4. మరియు దేవుడు అబ్రాహాము కాజ్ఞాపించిన ప్రకారము అతడు ఎనిమిది దినముల వాడైన ఇస్సాకు అను తన కుమారునికి సున్నతి చేసెను.

4. And Abraham circumcised Isaac his son, when eight days old, as God commanded him.

5. Now Abraham was a hundred years old, when Isaac his son was born to him.

6. And Sarah said, A laughing, hath God made for me, Everyone that heareth will laugh with me.

7. మరియు శారా పిల్లలకు స్తన్యమిచ్చునని యెవరు అబ్రాహాముతో చెప్పును నేను అతని ముసలితనమందు కుమారుని కంటిని గదా? అనెను.

7. And she said Who would have announced to Abraham, Sarah hath suckled children? yet have I borne a son, for his old age!

8. ఆ పిల్లవాడు పెరిగి పాలు విడిచెను. ఇస్సాకు పాలు విడిచిన దినమందు అబ్రాహాము గొప్ప విందు చేసెను.

8. And the child grew, and was weaned, and Abraham made a great banquet, on the day of the weaning of Isaac.

9. అప్పుడు అబ్రాహామునకు ఐగుప్తీయురాలైన హాగరు కనిన కుమారుడు పరిహసించుట శారా చూచి

9. And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian woman whom she had borne to Abraham laughing!

10. ఈ దాసిని దీని కుమారుని వెళ్లగొట్టుము; ఈ దాసి కుమారుడు నా కుమారుడైన ఇస్సాకుతో వారసుడై యుండడని అబ్రాహాముతో అనెను.

10. So she said to Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son, for the son of this bondwoman must not inherit with my son with Isaac.

11. అతని కుమారుని బట్టి ఆ మాట అబ్రాహామునకు మిక్కిలి దుఃఖము కలుగజేసెను.

11. And the word was very grievous in the eyes of Abraham, on account of his son.

12. అయితే దేవుడు ఈ చిన్న వాని బట్టియు నీ దాసిని బట్టియు నీవు దుఃఖపడవద్దు. శారా నీతో చెప్పు ప్రతి విషయములో ఆమె మాట వినుము; ఇస్సాకు వలన అయినది యే నీ సంతానమనబడును.

12. And God said unto Abraham Let it not be grievous in thine eyes concerning the boy and concerning thy bondwoman, In all that Sarah may say unto thee, hearken to her voice, For in Isaac, shall there be called to thee a seed.

13. అయినను ఈ దాసి కుమారుడును నీ సంతానమే గనుక అతనికూడ ఒక జనముగా చేసెదనని అబ్రాహాముతో చెప్పెను.

13. Yet even the son of the bondwoman, will I appoint to become, a nation, because thy seed, he is.

14. కాబట్టి తెల్లవారినప్పుడు అబ్రాహాము లేచి ఆహారమును నీళ్ల తిత్తిని తీసికొని ఆ పిల్లవానితో కూడ హాగరునకు అప్పగించి ఆమె భుజము మీద వాటిని పెట్టి ఆమెను పంపివేసెను. ఆమె వెళ్లి బెయేర్షెబా అరణ్యములో ఇటు అటు తిరుగుచుండెను.

14. So Abraham rose up early in the morning and took bread and a skin of water and gave unto hagar, putting them on her shoulder and the child, and sent her forth, so she went her way and wandered, in the desert of Beer-sheba.

15. ఆ తిత్తిలోని నీళ్లు అయిపోయిన తరువాత ఆమె ఒక పొద క్రింద ఆ చిన్నవాని పడవేసి

15. And the water out of the skin was spent, so she cant the child under one of the shrubs;

16. యీ పిల్లవాని చావు నేను చూడలేనని అనుకొని, వింటి వేత దూరము వెళ్లి అతని కెదురుగా కూర్చుండెను. ఆమె యెదురుగా కూర్చుండి యెలుగెత్తి యేడ్చెను.

16. and went and sat her down over against him at a distance like as of such as draw the bow, for she said Let me not look upon the death of the child, So she sat down over against him, and the boy lifted up his voice, and wept

17. దేవుడు ఆ చిన్నవాని మొరను వినెను. అప్పుడు దేవుని దూత ఆకాశము నుండి హాగరును పిలిచి హాగరూ నీకేమివచ్చినది? భయపడకుము; ఆ చిన్నవాడున్న చోట దేవుడు వాని స్వరము వినియున్నాడు;

17. And God heard the voice of the boy, and a messenger of God called unto Hagar out of the heavens; and said to her, What aileth thee, Hagar? Do not fear, for God hath hearkened unto the voice of the boy where he is.

18. నీవు లేచి ఆ చిన్నవాని లేవనెత్తి నీ చేత పట్టుకొనుము; వానిని గొప్ప జనముగా చేసెదనని ఆమెతో అనెను.

18. Arise lift up the boy, and hold him up with thy hand, for, a great nation, will I make him.

19. మరియు దేవుడు ఆమె కన్నులు తెరచినందున ఆమె నీళ్ల ఊట చూచి వెళ్లి ఆ తిత్తిని నీళ్లతో నింపి చిన్నవానికి త్రాగనిచ్చెను.

19. And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water, and went and filled the skin with water, and gave drink unto the boy

20. దేవుడు ఆ చిన్నవానికి తోడైయుండెను. అతడు పెరిగి పెద్దవాడై ఆ అరణ్యములో కాపురముండి విలుకాడాయెను.

20. And it came to pass that God was with the boy, and he grew, and dwelt in the desert, and he became as he grew up, an archer,

21. అతడు పారాను అరణ్యములో నున్నప్పుడు అతని తల్లి ఐగుప్తుదేశమునుండి ఒక స్త్రీని తెచ్చి అతనికి పెండ్లిచేసెను.

21. And he dwelt in the desert of Paran, and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

22. ఆ కాలమందు అబీమెలెకును అతని సేనాధిపతియైన ఫీకోలును అబ్రాహాముతో మాటలాడినీవు చేయు పనులన్నిటిలోను దేవుడు నీకు తోడైయున్నాడు గనుక.

22. And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech, with Phicol chieftain of his host, spake unto Abraham, saying, God, is with thee in all that, thou art doing.

23. నీవు నన్నైనను నా పుత్ర పౌత్రాదులనైనను వంచింపక, నేను నీకు చేసిన ఉపకారము చొప్పున నాకును నీవు పరదేశివైయున్న యీ దేశమునకు చేసెదనని దేవుని పేరట ఇక్కడ నాతో ప్రమాణము చేయుమని చెప్పెను.

23. Now, therefore, swear to me by God, here, that thou wilt not deal falsely by me, nor by mine offspring, nor by my descendants, according to the lovingkindness wherewith I have dealt with thee, shalt thou deal with me, and with the land wherein thou hast sojourned.

24. అందుకు అబ్రాహాము ప్రమాణము చేసెదననెను.

24. And Abraham said, I, will swear.

25. అబీమెలెకు దాసులు బలాత్కారముగా తీసికొనిన నీళ్ల బావివిషయమై అబ్రాహాము అబీమెలెకును ఆక్షేపింపగా అబీమెలెకు ఈ పని యెవరు చేసిరో నేనెరుగను;

25. But Abraham reproved Abimelech, on account of the well of water, which the servants of Abimelech had seized.

26. నీవును నాతో చెప్పలేదు; నేను నేడే గాని యీ సంగతి వినలేదని చెప్పగా.

26. And Abimelech said, I know not, who hath done this thing, nor hast even thou, ever told me, nor have even I, ever heard, save to-day.

27. అబ్రాహాము గొఱ్ఱెలను గొడ్లను తెప్పించి అబీమెలెకుకిచ్చెను. వారిద్దరు ఇట్లు ఒక నిబంధన చేసికొనిరి.

27. And Abraham took sheep and oxen, stud gave to Abimelech, and they two solemnised a covenant

28. తరువాత అబ్రాహాము తన గొఱ్ఱెల మందలో నుండి యేడు పెంటి పిల్లలను వేరుగా నుంచెను గనుక

28. So then Abram set seven young sheep of the flock by them-selves,

29. అబీమెలెకు అబ్రాహాముతో నీవు వేరుగా ఉంచిన యీ యేడు గొఱ్ఱెపిల్లలు ఎందుకని యడిగెను. అందుకతడు

29. And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What, then mean these seven young sheep here, which thou hast set by themselves?

30. నేనే యీ బావిని త్రవ్వించినందుకు నా సాక్ష్యార్థముగా ఈ యేడు గొఱ్ఱె పిల్లలను నీవు నాచేత పుచ్చుకొనవలెనని చెప్పెను.

30. And he said, The seven young sheep, shalt thou take at my hand, that they may serve as my witness, that I digged this well.

31. అక్కడ వారిద్దరు అట్లు ప్రమాణము చేసికొనినందున ఆ చోటు బెయేర్షెబా అనబడెను.

31. On this account, was the name of that place called Beer-sheba, because there, had they two sworn.

32. బెయేర్షెబాలో వారు ఆలాగు ఒక నిబంధన చేసికొనిన తరువాత అబీమెలెకు లేచి తన సేనాధిపతియైన ఫీకోలుతో ఫిలిష్తీయుల దేశమునకు తిరిగి వెళ్లెను.

32. And when they had solemnised a covenant in Beer-sheba, then arose Abimelech, with Phicol chief of his host, and returned unto the land of the Philistines.

33. అబ్రాహాము బెయేర్షెబాలో ఒక పిచుల వృక్షమునాటి అక్కడ నిత్య దేవుడైన యెహోవా పేరట ప్రార్థన చేసెను.

33. Then planted he a tamarisk tree in Beer-sheba, and called there on the name of Yahweh the age-abiding GOD.

34. అబ్రాహాము ఫిలిష్తీయుల దేశములో అనేక దినములు పరదేశిగా నుండెను.

34. So Abraham sojourned in the land of the Philistines many days.
