1. శారా జీవించిన కాలము, అనగా శారా బ్రదికిన యేండ్లు నూట ఇరువది యేడు.

1. Sara was an hundreth and seue and twentye yeare olde: so longe lyued she,

2. శారా కనాను దేశమందలి హెబ్రోనను కిర్యతర్బాలో మృతిబొందెను; అప్పుడు అబ్రాహాము శారా నిమిత్తము అంగలార్చుటకును ఆమెను గూర్చి యేడ్చుటకును వచ్చెను.

2. and dyed in the head cite which is called Hebron, in the lande of Canaan. Then wente Abraham, to mourne and wepe for her.

3. తరువాత అబ్రాహాము మృతిబొందిన తన భార్య యెదుట నుండి లేచి హేతు కుమారులను చూచి

3. Afterwarde he stode vp from his coarse, and talked with the Hethites, & sayde:

4. మీ మధ్య నేను పరదేశినిగాను పరవాసినిగాను ఉన్నాను. మృతిబొందిన నా భార్య నా కన్నుల యెదుట ఉండకుండ, ఆమెను పాతి పెట్టుటకు మీ తావున నాకొక శ్మశానభూమిని స్వాస్థ్యముగా ఇయ్యుడని అడుగగా

4. I am a strauger and an indweller amonge you, geue me a possession to bury in with you, that I maye bury my coarse by me.

5. హేతు కుమారులు అయ్యా మా మాట వినుము. నీవు మా మధ్యను మహారాజవై యున్నావు;

5. Then the Hethites answered Abraham, and sayde vnto him:

6. మా శ్మశాన భూములలో అతి శ్రేష్టమైన దానియందు మృతిబొందిన నీ భార్యను పాతిపెట్టుము; నీవు మృతిబొందిన నీ భార్యను పాతి పెట్టునట్లు మాలో తన శ్మశానభూమి ఇయ్యనొల్లనివాడు ఎవడును లేడని అబ్రాహాము కుత్తరమిచ్చిరి.

6. O heare lorde, thou art a prynce of God amonge vs: bury thy dead in the best of oure sepulcres, there shall none of vs forbyd ye, that thou shuldest not bury thy deed in his sepulcre.

7. అప్పుడు అబ్రాహాము లేచి ఆ దేశపు ప్రజలైన హేతు కుమారులకు సాగిలపడి

7. Then Abraham stode vp, and thanked the people of ye londe: namely the Hethites.

8. మృతిబొందిన నా భార్యను నా యెదుట ఉండకుండ నేను పాతి పెట్టుట మీకిష్టమైతే నా మాట వినుడి.

8. And he talked with them, and sayde: Yf it be youre wyll that I burye my coarse by me, heare me the, & speake for me to Ephron the sonne of Zoar,

9. సోహరు కుమారుడైన ఎఫ్రోను తన పొలము చివరను తనకు కలిగియున్న మక్పేలా గుహను నాకిచ్చునట్లు నా పక్షముగా అతనితో మనవిచేయుడి. మీ మధ్యను శ్మశాన భూమిగా నుండుటకు నిండు వెలకు అతడు దానిని నాకు స్వాస్థ్యముగా ఇయ్యవలెనని వారితో చెప్పెను.

9. that he maye geue me the dubble caue, which he hath in ye ende of his felde. For a reasonable money let him geue it me, for a possession to burye in amoge you.

10. అప్పుడు ఎఫ్రోను హేతు కుమారులమధ్యను కూర్చుండి యుండెను. హిత్తీయుడైన ఎఫ్రోను తన ఊరి గవిని ప్రవేశించువారందరి యెదుట హేతు కుమారులకు వినబడునట్లు అబ్రాహాముతో చెప్పిన ప్రత్యుత్తరమేమనగా

10. For Ephron dwelt amonge the Hethites.Then answered Ephron the Hethite vnto Abraham, that the Hethites might heare, before all that wente out and in at the gates of his cite, and sayde:

11. అయ్యా అట్లు కాదు నా మనవి నాలకించుము, ఆ పొలమును నీకిచ్చుచున్నాను; దానిలో నున్న గుహను నీకిచ్చుచున్నాను; నా ప్రజల యెదుట అది నీకిచ్చుచున్నాను; మృతిబొందిన నీ భార్యను పాతి పెట్టుమనెను

11. No my lorde, but heare me: As for the felde, and the caue also that is therin, I geue it the: and in the sight of my people I geue it the, to burye thy deed in.

12. అప్పుడు అబ్రాహాము ఆ దేశపు ప్రజల యెదుట సాగిలపడి

12. Then Abraham thanked the people of the londe,

13. సరేకాని నా మనవి ఆలకించుము. ఆ పొలమునకు వెల యిచ్చెదను; అది నాయొద్ద పుచ్చుకొనిన యెడల మృతిబొందిన నా భార్యను పాతి పెట్టెదనని ఆ దేశ ప్రజలకు వినబడు నట్లు ఎఫ్రోనుతో చెప్పెను.

13. and talked with Ephron, that the people of the londe might heare, and sayde: Heare me then, Receaue of me the money that I geue the for the felde, and so wyll I burye my deed there.

14. అందుకు ఎఫ్రోను అయ్యా నా మాట వినుము; ఆ భూమి నాలుగు వందల తులముల వెండి చేయును;

14. Ephron answered Abraham, and sayde vnto him:

15. నాకు నీకు అది యెంత? మృతిబొందిన నీ భార్యను పాతిపెట్టుమని అబ్రాహామున కుత్తరమిచ్చెను;

15. Heare me my lorde: The felde is worth foure hundreth Sycles of syluer: but what is that betwixte me and the? Burye thy deed.

16. అబ్రాహాము ఎఫ్రోను మాట వినెను. కాబట్టి హేతు కుమారులకు వినబడునట్లు ఎఫ్రోను చెప్పిన వెల అనగా వర్తకులలో చెల్లు నాలుగు వందల తులముల వెండి అబ్రాహాము తూచి అతని కిచ్చెను.

16. Abraham herkened vnto Ephron, and weyed him the money which he had sayde, that the Hethites might heare: namely foure hundreth syluer sycles of currant money amonge marchauntes.

17. ఆలాగున మమ్రే యెదుటనున్న మక్పేలా యందలి ఎఫ్రోను పొలము, అనగా ఆ పొలమును దానియందలి గుహయు దాని పొలిమేర అంతటి లోనున్న ఆ పొలము చెట్లన్నియు,

17. Thus Ephrons felde (where in the dubble caue is) which lyeth ouer before Mamre, euen the felde and the caue, was made sure

18. అతని ఊరి గవిని ప్రవేశించు వారందరిలో హేతు కుమారుల యెదుట అబ్రాహామునకు స్వాస్థ్యముగా స్థిరపరచబడెను.

18. for Abrahams owne good, with all the trees of the felde also rounde aboute, in the sight of the Hethites, and of all that go out and in at the gates of his cite.

19. ఆ తరువాత అబ్రాహాము కనాను దేశములో హెబ్రోనను మమ్రే యెదుట నున్న మక్పేలా పొలము గుహలో తన భార్యయైన శారాను పాతిపెట్టెను.

19. Then Abraham buried Sara his wife in the dubble caue of the felde, that lyeth ouer before Mamre (that is, Hebron) in the londe of Canaan.

20. ఆ పొలమును దానిలోనున్న గుహయు హేతు కుమారుల వలన శ్మశానము కొరకు అబ్రాహామునకు స్వాస్థ్యముగా స్థిరపరచబడెను.

20. So the felde and the caue therin was made sure of the Hethites vnto Abraham, for a possession to bury in.
