1. అబ్రాహాము మరల ఒక స్త్రీని వివాహము చేసికొనెను, ఆమె పేరు కెతూరా.

1. Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name {was} Keturah.

2. ఆమె అతనికి జిమ్రాను, యొక్షాను, మెదాను, మిద్యాను, ఇష్బాకు, షూవహు అనువారిని కనెను.

2. And she bore him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.

3. యొక్షాను షేబను దెదానును కనెను. అష్షూరీయులు లెతూషీయులు లెయుమీయులు అనువారు ఆ దెదాను సంతతివారు.

3. And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim and Leummim.

4. ఏయిఫా ఏఫెరు హనోకు అబీదా ఎల్దాయా అనువారు ఆ మిద్యాను సంతతివారు.

4. And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abidah, and Eldaah. All these {were} the children of Keturah.

5. వీరందరు కెతూరా సంతతివారు. అబ్రాహాము తనకు కలిగినది యావత్తు ఇస్సాకు కిచ్చెను.

5. And Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac.

6. అబ్రాహాము తన ఉపపత్నుల కుమారులకు బహుమానము లిచ్చి, తాను సజీవుడై యుండగానే తన కుమారుడగు ఇస్సాకు నొద్దనుండి తూర్పు తట్టుగా తూర్పు దేశమునకు వారిని పంపివేసెను.

6. But to the sons of the concubines which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son (while he yet lived) eastward, to the east country.

7. అబ్రాహాము బ్రదికిన సంవత్సరములు నూట డెబ్బదియైదు.

7. And these {are} the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived, a hundred and seventy five years.

8. అబ్రాహాము నిండు వృద్ధాప్యమునకు వచ్చినవాడై మంచి ముసలితనమున ప్రాణము విడిచి మృతిబొంది తన పితరులయొద్దకు చేర్చబడెను.

8. Then Abraham expired, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full {of years}; and was gathered to his people.

9. హిత్తీయుడైన సోహరు కుమారుడగు ఎఫ్రోను పొలమందలి మక్పేలా గుహలో అతని కుమారులగు ఇస్సాకును ఇష్మాయేలును అతనిని పాతిపెట్టిరి; అది మమ్రే యెదుట నున్నది.

9. And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which {is} before Mamre;

10. అబ్రాహాము హేతు కుమారులయొద్ద కొనిన పొలములోనే అబ్రాహామును అతని భార్యయైన శారాయును పాతి పెట్టబడిరి.

10. The field which Abraham purchased of the sons of Heth: there was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.

11. అబ్రాహాము మృతిబొందిన తరువాత దేవుడు అతని కుమారుడగు ఇస్సాకును ఆశీర్వదించెను; అప్పుడు ఇస్సాకు బేయేర్‌ లహాయిరోయి దగ్గర కాపురముండెను.

11. And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac: and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahai-roi.

12. ఐగుప్తీయురాలును శారా దాసియునైన హాగరు అబ్రాహామునకు కనిన అబ్రాహాము కుమారుడగు ఇష్మాయేలు వంశావళి యిదే.

12. Now these {are} the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's handmaid, bore to Abraham.

13. ఇష్మాయేలు జ్యేష్ఠకుమారుడైన నేబాయోతు కేదారు అద్బయేలు మిబ్శాము

13. And these {are} the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: The first-born of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

14. మిష్మా దూమానమశ్శా

14. And Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,

15. హదరు తేమా యెతూరు నాపీషు కెదెమా

15. Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:

16. ఇవి వారి వారి వంశావళుల ప్రకారము వారి వారి పేరుల చొప్పున ఇష్మాయేలు కుమారుల యొక్క పేరులు వారి వారి గ్రామములలోను వారి వారి కోటలలోను ఇష్మాయేలు కుమారులు వీరే, వారి పేరులు ఇవే, వారివారి జనముల ప్రకారము వారు పండ్రెండుగురు రాజులు.

16. These {are} the sons of Ishmael, and these {are} their names, by their towns, and by their castles; twelve princes according to their nations.

17. ఇష్మాయేలు బ్రదికిన సంవత్సరములు నూట ముప్పది యేడు. అప్పుడతడు ప్రాణమువిడిచి మృతిబొంది తన పితరుల యొద్దకు చేర్చబడెను.

17. And these {are} the years of the life of Ishmael; a hundred and thirty and seven years: and he expired and died, and was gathered to his people.

18. వారు అష్షూరునకు వెళ్లు మార్గమున హవీలా మొదలుకొని ఐగుప్తు ఎదుటనున్న షూరువరకు నివసించువారు అతడు తన సహోదరులందరి యెదుట నివాసమేర్పరచుకొనెను.

18. And they dwelt from Havilah to Shur, that {is} before Egypt, as thou goest towards Assyria: {and} he died in the presence of all his brethren.

19. అబ్రాహాము కుమారుడగు ఇస్సాకు వంశావళి యిదే. అబ్రాహాము ఇస్సాకును కనెను.

19. And these {are} the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham begat Isaac:

20. ఇస్సాకు పద్దనరాములో నివసించు సిరియా వాడైన బెతూయేలు కుమార్తెయును సిరియా వాడైన లాబాను సహోదరియునైన రిబ్కాను పెండ్లి చేసికొన్నప్పుడు నలుబది సంవత్సరములవాడు.

20. And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan-aram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.

21. ఇస్సాకు భార్య గొడ్రాలు గనుక అతడు ఆమె విషయమై యెహోవాను వేడుకొనెను. యెహోవా అతని ప్రార్థన వినెను గనుక అతని భార్యయైన రిబ్కా గర్భవతి ఆయెను.

21. And Isaac entreated the LORD for his wife, because she {was} barren: and the LORD was entreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

22. ఆమె గర్భములో శిశువులు ఒకనితో నొకడు పెనుగులాడిరి గనుక ఆమె ఈలాగైతే నేను బ్రదుకుట యెందుకని అనుకొని యీ విషయమై యెహోవాను అడుగ వెళ్లెను. అప్పుడు యెహోవా ఆమెతో నిట్లనెను

22. And the children struggled together within her: and she said, If {it is} so, why {am} I thus? And she went to inquire of the LORD.

23. రెండు జనములు నీ గర్భములో కలవు. రెండు జనపదములు నీ కడుపులో నుండి ప్రత్యేకముగా వచ్చును. ఒక జనపదము కంటె ఒక జనపదము బలిష్టమై యుండును. పెద్దవాడు చిన్నవానికి దాసుడగును అనెను.

23. And the LORD said to her, Two nations {are} in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels: and {the one} people shall be stronger than {the other} people; and the elder shall serve the younger.

24. ఆమె ప్రసూతి కావలసిన దినములు నిండినప్పుడు ఆమె గర్భమందు కవలవారు ఉండిరి.

24. And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, {there were} twins in her womb.

25. మొదటివాడు ఎఱ్ఱనివాడుగా బయటికివచ్చెను. అతని ఒళ్లంతయు రోమ వస్త్రమువలె నుండెను గనుక అతనికి ఏశావు అను పేరు పెట్టిరి.

25. And the first was born red, all over like a hairy garment: and they called his name Esau.

26. తరువాత అతని సహోదరుడు బయటికి వచ్చినప్పుడు అతని చెయ్యి ఏశావు మడిమెను పట్టుకొని యుండెను గనుక అతనికి యాకోబు అను పేరు పెట్టబడెను. ఆమె వారిని కనినప్పుడు ఇస్సాకు అరువది యేండ్లవాడు.

26. And after that his brother was born, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac {was} sixty years old when she bore them.

27. ఆ చిన్నవారు ఎదిగినప్పుడు ఏశావు వేటాడుటయందు నేర్పరియై అరణ్యవాసిగా నుండెను; యాకోబు సాధువై గుడారములలో నివసించుచుండెను.

27. And the boys grew: and Esau was a skillful hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob {was} a plain man dwelling in tents.

28. ఇస్సాకు ఏశావు తెచ్చిన వేట మాంసమును తినుచుండెను గనుక అతని ప్రేమించెను; రిబ్కా యాకోబును ప్రేమించెను.

28. And Isaac loved Esau, because he ate of {his} venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.

29. ఒకనాడు యాకోబు కలగూర వంటకము వండుకొనుచుండగా ఏశావు అలసినవాడై పొలములోనుండి వచ్చి

29. And Jacob boiled pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he {was} faint.

30. నేను అలసియున్నాను; ఆ యెఱ్ఱయెఱ్ఱగా నున్న దానిలో కొంచెము దయచేసి నాకు పెట్టుమని అడిగెను; అందుచేత అతని పేరు ఎదోము అనబడెను.

30. And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red {pottage}; for I {am} faint: therefore was his name called Edom.

31. అందుకు యాకోబు - నీ జ్యేష్ఠత్వము నేడు నాకిమ్మని అడుగగా

31. And Jacob said, Sell to me this day thy birth-right.

32. ఏశావు - నేను చావబోవుచున్నాను గదా జ్యేష్ఠత్వము నాకెందుకనెను

32. And Esau said, Behold, I {am} at the point to die: and what profit shall this birth-right bring to me?

33. యాకోబు - నేడు నాతో ప్రమాణము చేయుమనెను. అతడు యాకోబుతో ప్రమాణముచేసి అతనికి జ్యేష్ఠత్వమును అమ్మివేయగా

33. And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he swore to him: and he sold his birth-right to Jacob.

34. యాకోబు ఆహారమును చిక్కుడుకాయల వంటకమును ఏశావు కిచ్చెను; అతడు తిని త్రాగి లేచిపోయెను. అట్లు ఏశావు తన జ్యేష్ఠత్వమును తృణీకరించెను.

34. Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he ate and drank, and rose and went his way: thus Esau despised {his} birth-right.
