1. ఆదాము తన భార్యయైన హవ్వను కూడినప్పుడు ఆమె గర్భవతియై కయీనును కని యెహోవా దయవలన నేనొక మనుష్యుని సంపాదించుకొన్నాననెను.

1. And Adam knewe Heua his wyfe, who conceauing bare Cain, saying: I haue gotten a man of the Lorde.

2. తరువాత ఆమె అతని తమ్ముడగు హేబెలును కనెను. హేబెలు గొఱ్ఱెల కాపరి; కయీను భూమిని సేద్యపరచువాడు.

2. And she proceading, brought foorth his brother Habel, and Habel was a keper of sheepe, but Cain was a tyller of the grounde.

3. కొంతకాలమైన తరువాత కయీను పొలముపంటలో కొంత యెహోవాకు అర్పణగా తెచ్చెను.

3. And in processe of dayes it came to passe, that Cain brought of the fruite of the grounde, an oblation vnto ye lorde:

4. హేబెలు కూడ తన మందలో తొలుచూలున పుట్టిన వాటిలో క్రొవ్విన వాటిని కొన్ని తెచ్చెను. యెహోవా హేబెలును అతని యర్పణను లక్ష్యపెట్టెను;

4. Habel also brought of the firstlynges of his sheepe, & of the fatte thereof: and the Lorde had respect vnto Habel, and to his oblation.

5. కయీనును అతని యర్పణను ఆయన లక్ష్యపెట్టలేదు. కాబట్టి కయీనుకు మిక్కిలి కోపము వచ్చి అతడు తన ముఖము చిన్నబుచ్చుకొనగా

5. But vnto Cain and to his offeryng he had no respect: for the whiche cause Cain was exceedyng wroth, and his countenaunce abated.

6. యెహోవా కయీనుతో నీకు కోపమేల? ముఖము చిన్నబుచ్చుకొని యున్నావేమి?

6. And the Lorde saide vnto Cain: why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenaunce abated?

7. నీవు సత్క్రియ చేసిన యెడల తలనెత్తుకొనవా? సత్క్రియ చేయనియెడల వాకిట పాపము పొంచియుండును; నీ యెడల దానికి వాంఛ కలుగును నీవు దానిని ఏలుదువనెను.

7. If thou do well, shalt thou not receaue? and yf thou doest not well, lyeth not thy sinne at the doores? Also vnto thee shall his desire be, and thou shalt haue dominion ouer hym.

8. కయీను తన తమ్ముడైన హేబెలుతో మాటలాడెను. వారు పొలములో ఉన్నప్పుడు కయీను తన తమ్ముడైన హేబెలు మీద పడి అతనిని చంపెను.

8. And Cain talked with Habel his brother: and it came to passe when they were in the fielde, Cain rose vp agaynst Habel his brother, & slewe him.

9. యెహోవా నీ తమ్ముడైన హేబెలు ఎక్కడున్నాడని కయీను నడుగగా అతడు నేనెరుగను; నా తమ్మునికి నేను కావలివాడనా అనెను.

9. And the Lorde said vnto Cain: where is Habel thy brother? Which sayde I wote not: Am I my brothers keper?

10. అప్పుడాయన నీవు చేసినపని యేమిటి? నీ తమ్ముని రక్తము యొక్క స్వరము నేలలో నుండి నాకు మొరపెట్టుచున్నది.

10. And he sayde: What hast thou done? the voyce of thy brothers blood cryeth vnto me out of the grounde.

11. కావున నీ తమ్ముని రక్తమును నీ చేతిలో నుండి పుచ్చుకొనుటకు నోరు తెరచిన యీ నేలమీద ఉండకుండ, నీవు శపింపబడినవాడవు;

11. And nowe art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receaue thy brothers blood from thy hande.

12. నీవు నేలను సేద్యపరుచునప్పుడు అది తన సారమును ఇక మీదట నీకియ్యదు; నీవు భూమిమీద దిగులు పడుచు దేశదిమ్మరివై యుందువనెను.

12. If thou tyll the grounde, she shall not yeelde vnto thee her strength. A fugitiue and a vacabound shalt thou be in the earth.

13. అందుకు కయీనునా దోషశిక్ష నేను భరింపలేనంత గొప్పది.

13. And Cain sayde vnto the Lord: My iniquitie is more then that it may be forgeuen.

14. నేడు ఈ ప్రదేశమునుండి నన్ను వెళ్లగొట్టితివి; నీ సన్నిధికి రాకుండ వెలివేయబడి దిగులుపడుచు భూమిమీద దేశదిమ్మరినై యుందును. కావున నన్ను కనుగొనువాడెవడో వాడు నన్ను చంపునని యెహోవాతో అనెను.

14. Beholde, thou hast cast me out this day from the vpper face of the earth, & from thy face shall I be hyd, fugitiue also and a vacabounde shall I be in the earth: and it shall come to passe, that euery one that fyndeth me shal slay me.

15. అందుకు యెహోవా అతనితో కాబట్టి యెవడైనను కయీనును చంపినయెడల వానికి ప్రతిదండన యేడంతలు కలుగుననెను. మరియు ఎవడైనను కయీనును కనుగొని అతనిని చంపక యుండునట్లు యెహోవా అతనికి ఒక గురుతు వేసెను.

15. And the Lorde said vnto him: Uerely whosoeuer slayeth Cain, he shalbe punished seuen folde. And the Lorde set a marke vpon Cain, lest any man fyndyng hym shoulde kyll hym.

16. అప్పుడు కయీను యెహోవా సన్నిధిలోనుండి బయలుదేరి వెళ్లి ఏదెనుకు తూర్పుదిక్కున నోదు దేశములో కాపురముండెను.

16. And Cain went out from the presence of the Lorde, & dwelt in the lande of Nod, eastwarde from Eden.

17. కయీను తన భార్యను కూడినప్పుడు ఆమె గర్భవతియై హనోకును కనెను. అప్పుడతడు ఒక ఊరు కట్టించి ఆ ఊరికి తన కుమారుని పేరునుబట్టి హనోకను పేరు పెట్టెను.

17. Cain also knewe his wyfe, whiche conceaued and bare Henoch, and buyldyng a citie, he called the name of the same citie after the name of his sonne Henoch.

18. హనోకుకు ఈరాదు పుట్టెను. ఈరాదు మహూయాయేలును కనెను. మహూయాయేలు మతూషాయేలును కనెను. మతూషాయేలు లెమెకును కనెను.

18. Unto ye same Henoch was borne Irad: Irad begat Mehuiael, Mehuiael begat Methusael, Methusael begat Lamech.

19. లెమెకు ఇద్దరు స్త్రీలను పెండ్లి చేసికొనెను; వారిలో ఒక దాని పేరు ఆదా రెండవదాని పేరు సిల్లా.

19. And Lamech toke vnto hym two wyues, the name of the one was Ada, and the name of the other was Sella.

20. ఆదా యాబాలును కనెను. అతడు పశువులు గలవాడై గుడారములలో నివసించువారికి మూలపురుషుడు.

20. And Ada bare Iabel, which was the father of such as dwel in the tentes, and of such as haue cattell.

21. అతని సహోదరుని పేరు యూబాలు. ఇతడు సితారాను సానికను వాడుక చేయు వారికందరికిని మూలపురుషుడు.

21. His brothers name was Iubal, which was the father of such as handle Harpe and Organ.

22. మరియు సిల్లా తూబల్కయీనును కనెను. అతడు పదునుగల రాగి పని ముట్లన్నిటిని ఇనుప పనిముట్లన్నిటిని చేయువాడు. తూబల్కయీను సహోదరి పేరు నయమా.

22. And Sella also bare Thubalcain, which wrought cunnyngly euery craft of brasse and of iron, the sister of Thubalcain was Noema.

23. లెమెకు తన భార్యలతో ఓ ఆదా ఓ సిల్లా, నా పలుకు వినుడి లెమెకు భార్యలారా, నా మాట ఆలకించుడి నన్ను గాయపరచినందుకై ఒక మనుష్యుని చంపితిని నన్ను దెబ్బ కొట్టినందుకై ఒక పడుచువాని చంపితిని

23. And Lamech saide vnto his wiues Ada and Sella: Heare my voyce ye wyues of Lamech, hearken vnto my speache: for I haue slayne a man to the woundyng of my selfe, & a young man to myne owne punishment.

24. ఏడంతలు ప్రతి దండన కయీను కోసము, వచ్చిన యెడల లెమెకు కోసము డెబ్బది యేడంతలు వచ్చుననెను.

24. If Cain shalbe auenged seuen folde, truely Lamech seuentie tymes & seuen tymes.

25. ఆదాము మరల తన భార్యను కూడినప్పుడు ఆమె కుమారుని కని కయీను చంపిన హేబెలునకు ప్రతిగా దేవుడు నాకు మరియొక సంతానమును నియమించెననుకొని అతనికి షేతు అను పేరు పెట్టెను.
లూకా 3:36-38

25. Adam knewe his wyfe agayne, and she bare a sonne, and called his name Seth: For God [sayde she] hath appoynted me another seede in steade of Habel whom Cain slewe.

26. మరియు షేతునకు కూడ కుమారుడు పుట్టెను; అతనికి ఎనోషను పేరు పెట్టెను. అప్పుడు యెహోవా నామమున ప్రార్థన చేయుట ఆరంభమైనది.

26. And vnto the same Seth also there was borne a sonne, and he called his name Enos: then began men to make inuocation in the name of the Lorde.
