1. యోసేపు వెళ్లి ఫరోను చూచి నా తండ్రియు నా సహోదరులును వారి గొఱ్ఱెల మందలతోను వారి పశువులతోను వారికి కలిగినదంతటితోను కనాను దేశము నుండి వచ్చి గోషెనులో నున్నారని తెలియచేసి

1. And Joseph came in and made known to Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brothers, and their flocks and their herds, and all which is theirs, have come in from the land of Canaan.

2. తన సహోదరులందరిలో అయిదుగురిని వెంటబెట్టుకొనిపోయి వారిని ఫరో సమక్షమందు ఉంచెను.

2. And, behold, they are in the land of Goshen. And he took five men from among his brothers and set them before Pharaoh.

3. And Pharaoh said to his brothers, What is your occupation? And they said to Pharaoh, Your servants are shepherds of flocks, both we and our fathers.

4. And they said to Pharaoh, We have come in to stay in the land, because there is no pasture for the flocks which belong to your servants, for the famine is heavy in the land of Canaan. And now please let your servants live in the land of Goshen.

5. ఫరో యోసేపును చూచి - నీ తండ్రియు నీ సహోదరులును నీయొద్దకు వచ్చియున్నారు.

5. And Pharaoh spoke to Joseph, saying, Your father and your brothers have come in to you.

6. ఐగుప్తు దేశము నీ యెదుట ఉన్నది, ఈ దేశములోని మంచి ప్రదేశమందు నీ తండ్రిని నీ సహోదరులను నివసింపచేయుము, గోషెను దేశములో వారు నివసింపవచ్చును, వారిలో ఎవరైన ప్రజ్ఞగలవారని నీకు తోచిన యెడల నా మందలమీద వారిని అధిపతులగా నియమించుమని చెప్పెను

6. The land of Egypt is before you; cause your father and your brothers to live in the best of the land; let them live in the land of Goshen. And if you know men of ability among them, make them chiefs of livestock over what is mine.

7. మరియు యోసేపు తన తండ్రియైన యాకోబును లోపలికి తీసికొని వచ్చి ఫరో సమక్షమందు అతని నుంచగా యాకోబు ఫరోను దీవించెను.

7. And Joseph brought in his father Jacob and placed him before Pharaoh. And Jacob blessed Pharaoh.

8. And Pharaoh said to Jacob, How many are the days of the years of your life?

9. And Jacob said to Pharaoh, The days of the years of my camps are a hundred and thirty years. Few and evil have been the days of the years of my life and they have not reached the days of the years of the life of my fathers, in the days of their camps.

10. And Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and went out from before Pharaoh.

11. And Joseph caused his father and his brothers to live, and gave them a place in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh commanded.

12. And Joseph nourished his father and his brothers, and all his father's house with bread for the mouth of the little ones.

13. And no bread was in the land, because the famine was exceedingly severe. And the land of Egypt and the land of Canaan were exhausted from the famine.

14. వచ్చిన వారికి ధాన్యమమ్ముట వలన ఐగుప్తు దేశములోను కనాను దేశములోను దొరికిన ద్రవ్యమంత యోసేపు సమకూర్చెను. ఆ ద్రవ్యమంతటిని యోసేపు ఫరో నగరులోనికి తెప్పించెను.

14. And Joseph gathered up all the silver found in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan in return for the grain they were buying. And Joseph brought in the silver to the house of Pharaoh.

15. ఐగుప్తు దేశమందును కనాను దేశమందును ద్రవ్యము వ్యయమైన తరువాత ఐగుప్తీయులందరు యోసేపు నొద్దకు వచ్చి - మాకు ఆహారము ఇప్పించుము, నీ సముఖమందు మేమేల చావవలెను? ద్రవ్యము వ్యయమైనది గదా అనిరి.

15. And the silver failed from the land of Egypt, and from the land of Canaan. And all Egypt came in to Joseph, saying, Give us bread; and, Why should we die before you? For the silver has failed.

16. అందుకు యోసేపు - మీ పశువులను ఇయ్యుడి; ద్రవ్యము వ్యయమైపోయిన యెడల మీ పశువులకు ప్రతిగా నేను మీకు ధాన్యమిచ్చెదనని చెప్పెను, కాబట్టి వారు తమ పశువులను యోసేపునొద్దకు తీసికొనవచ్చిరి. యోసేపు గుఱ్ఱములను గొర్రెల మందలను పశువుల మందలను గాడిదలను తీసికొని వారికి ఆహారమిచ్చెను

16. And Joseph said, Give your livestock, and I will give to you for your livestock, if silver has failed.

17. ఆ సంవత్సరమందు వారి మందలన్నిటికి ప్రతిగా అతడు వారికి ఆహారమిచ్చి సంరక్షించెను.

17. And they brought in their livestock to Joseph. And Joseph gave bread to them for the horses, and for the livestock of the flocks, for the livestock of the herds, and for the asses. And he satisfied them with bread in that year for all their livestock.

18. And that year ended, and they came in to him in the second year and said to him, We cannot hide from my lord that the silver and the livestock of the animals have failed, going to my lord. Nothing is left before my lord except our bodies and our lands.

19. నీ కన్నుల యెదుట మా పొలములును మేమును నశింపనేల? ఆహారమిచ్చి మమ్మును మా పొలములను కొనుము; మా పొలములతో మేము ఫరోకు దాసులమగుదుము; మేము చావక బ్రదుకునట్లును పొలములు పాడైపోకుండునట్లును మాకు విత్తనము లిమ్మని అడిగిరి.

19. Why should we die before your eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land for bread; and let us, we and our land, become slaves to Pharaoh. And give seed so that we may live and not die, and the land not be desolate.

20. అట్లు యోసేపు ఐగుప్తు భూములన్నిటిని ఫరో కొరకు కొనెను. కరవు వారికి భారమైనందున ఐగుప్తీయులందరు తమ తమ పొలములను అమ్మివేసిరి గనుక, భూమి ఫరోది ఆయెను.

20. And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh, because each one in Egypt sold his field, because this famine was severe on them; and the land became Pharaoh's.

21. అతడు ఐగుప్తు పొలిమేరలయొక్క యీ చివరనుండి ఆ చివర వరకును జనులను ఊళ్లలోనికి రప్పించెను.

21. And as for the people, he caused them to pass over into the cities, and from the end of the border of Egypt to its other end.

22. Only he did not buy the land of the priests; for Pharaoh had appointed a portion for the priests, and they usually ate their appointed portion which Pharaoh gave to them. For this reason they did not sell their land.

23. యోసేపు ఇదిగో నేడు మిమ్మును మీ భూములను ఫరో కొరకు కొనియున్నాను. ఇదిగో మీకు విత్తనములు; పొలములలో విత్తుడి.

23. And Joseph said to the people, Behold, I have bought you and your land today. Behold! Here is seed for you; and you sow the land.

24. పంటలో అయిదవ భాగము మీరు ఫరోకు ఇయ్యవలెను. నాలుగు భాగములు పొలములలో విత్తుటకును మీకును మీ కుటుంబపు వారికిని ఆహారమునకును మీ పిల్లలకు ఆహారమునకును మీవై యుండునని ప్రజలతో చెప్పగా

24. And it shall be, as you gather you shall give a fifth part to Pharaoh; and four parts shall be yours, for the seed of the field and for your food, and for those in your houses, and for food for your little ones.

25. వారు - నీవు మమ్ము బ్రదికించితివి, ఏలినవారి కటాక్షము మా మీదనుండనిమ్ము; ఫరోకు దాసులమగుదుమని చెప్పిరి.

25. And they said, You have saved our lives; let us find favor in the eyes of my lord, and we will become slaves to Pharaoh.

26. అప్పుడు అయిదవ భాగము ఫరోదని నేటివరకు యోసేపు ఐగుప్తు భూములను గూర్చి కట్టడ నియమించెను, యాజకుల భూములు మాత్రమే వినాయింపబడెను. అవి ఫరోవి కావు.

26. And Joseph made it a law until this day on the land of Egypt, the fifth part is for Pharaoh; only the land of the priests being excepted; it did not become Pharaoh's.

27. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు ఐగుప్తుదేశమందలి గోషెను ప్రదేశములో నివసించిరి. అందులో వారు ఆస్తి సంపాదించుకొని సంతానాభివృద్ధి పొంది మిగుల విస్తరించిరి.

27. And Israel lived in the land of Egypt, in the land of Goshen. And they owned in it, and were fruitful, and multiplied exceedingly.

28. యాకోబు ఐగుప్తుదేశములో పదునేడు సంవత్సరములు బ్రదికెను. యాకోబు దినములు, అనగా అతడు జీవించిన సంవత్సరములు నూటనలుబదియేడు.

28. And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years. And the days of Jacob, the years of his life were a hundred and forty seven years.

29. And the days of Israel to die drew near. And he called to his son Joseph and said to him, Now if I have found favor in your eyes, please put your hand under my thigh, and do kindness and truth with me. Please do not bury me in Egypt;

30. నా పితరులతో కూడ నేను పండుకొనునట్లు ఐగుప్తులోనుండి నన్ను తీసికొనిపోయి వారి సమాధిలో నన్ను పాతిపెట్టుమని అతనితో చెప్పెను.

30. but let me lie with my fathers, and carry me from Egypt, and bury me in their burying place. And he said, I will do according to your words.

31. And he said, Swear to me. And he swore to him. And Israel bowed on the head of the bed.
