1. ఈ సంగతులైన తరువాత ఇదిగో నీ తండ్రి కాయిలాగా ఉన్నాడని ఒకడు యోసేపుతో చెప్పెను. అప్పుడతడు మనష్షే ఎఫ్రాయిములు అను తన యిద్దరు కుమారులను వెంటబెట్టుకొని పోగా,

1. And it came to pass after these things, that one said to Joseph, Lo! thy father, is sick. So he took his two sons with him, Manasseh and Ephraim.

2. ఇదిగో నీ కుమారుడైన యోసేపు నీ యొద్దకు వచ్చుచున్నాడని యాకోబునకు తెలుపబడెను. అంతట ఇశ్రాయేలు బలము తెచ్చుకొని తన మంచము మీద కూర్చుండెను.

2. And one told Jacob, and said Lo! thy son Joseph, coming in unto thee. So Israel strengthened himself, and sat up on the couch.

3. యోసేపును చూచి కనాను దేశమందలి లూజులో సర్వశక్తిగల దేవుడు నాకు కనబడి నన్ను ఆశీర్వదించి

3. Then said Jacob unto Joseph, GOD Almighty, appeared unto me in Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me;

4. ఇదిగో నీకు సంతానాభివృద్ధి పొందించి నిన్ను విస్తరింపచేసి నీవు జనముల సమూహమగునట్లు చేసి, నీ తరువాత నీ సంతానమునకు ఈ దేశమును నిత్యస్వాస్థ్యముగా ఇచ్చెదనని సెలవిచ్చెను.

4. and said unto me Behold me! about to make thee fruitful, so will I multiply thee, and give thee to become a multitude of peoples, so will I give this land to thy seed after thee, as an age-abiding possession.

5. ఇదిగో నేను ఐగుప్తునకు నీ యొద్దకు రాకమునుపు ఐగుప్తు దేశములో నీకు పుట్టిన నీ యిద్దరు కుమారులు నా బిడ్డలే; రూబేను షిమ్యోనులవలె ఎఫ్రాయిము మనష్షే నా బిడ్డలై యుందురు.

5. Now, therefore thy two sons who were born to thee in the land of Egypt, before I came in unto thee in Egypt, are Ephraim and Manasseh, like Reuben and Simeon, shall be mine.

6. వారి తరువాత నీవు కనిన సంతానము నీదే; వారు తమ సహోదరుల స్వాస్థ్యమునుబట్టి వారి పేళ్ల చొప్పున పిలువబడుదురు.

6. But thine offspring which thou hast begotten after them, thine own shall they be, after the name of their brethren, shall they be called in their inheritance.

7. పద్దనరామునుండి నేను వచ్చుచున్నప్పుడు, ఎఫ్రాతాకు ఇంక కొంత దూరమున నుండగా మార్గమున రాహేలు కనాను దేశములో నా యెదుట మృతి పొందెను. అక్కడ బేత్లెహేమను ఎఫ్రాతా మార్గమున నేను ఆమెను పాతిపెట్టితినని యోసేపుతో చెప్పెను.

7. But, as for me, when I came in from Padan, Rachel died by me, in the land of Canaan, in the way, while yet there was a stretch of country to come into Ephrath, so I buried her there in the way to Ephrath, the same, is Bethlehem.

8. ఇశ్రాయేలు యోసేపు కుమారులను చూచి - వీరెవరని అడుగగా

8. Then Israel saw Joseph's sons, and said Who are these?

9. యోసేపు - వీరు నా కుమారులు, వీరిని ఈ దేశమందు దేవుడు నా కనుగ్రహించెనని తన తండ్రితో చెప్పెను. అందుకతడు - నేను వారిని దీవించుటకు నా దగ్గరకు వారిని తీసికొనిరమ్మనెను.

9. And Joseph said unto his father, My sons, they are, whom God hath given me, in this place. And he said Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, that I may bless them.

10. ఇశ్రాయేలు కన్నులు వృద్ధాప్యమువలన మందముగా ఉండెను గనుక అతడు చూడలేక పోయెను. యోసేపు వారిని అతని దగ్గరకు తీసికొనివచ్చినప్పుడు అతడు వారిని ముద్దు పెట్టుకొని కౌగిలించుకొనెను.

10. Now, the eyes of Israel, had become dim from old age, he could not see, so he drew them near unto him, and kissed them, and embraced them.

11. ఇశ్రాయేలు యోసేపుతో నీ ముఖము చూచెదనని నేను అనుకొనలేదు గాని నీ సంతానమును దేవుడు నాకు కనుపరచియున్నాడనగా

11. And Israel said unto Joseph, To see thine own face, had I not thought, and lo! God hath caused me to see even thy seed!

12. యోసేపు అతని మోకాళ్ల మధ్యనుండి వారిని తీసికొని అతనికి సాష్టాంగ నమస్కారము చేసెను.

12. And Joseph brought them out from beside his knees, and bowed himself down with his face towards the earth.

13. తరువాత యోసేపు ఇశ్రాయేలు ఎడమచేతి తట్టున తన కుడిచేత ఎఫ్రాయిమును, ఇశ్రాయేలు కుడిచేతి తట్టున తన యెడమ చేత మనష్షేను పట్టుకొని వారినిద్దరిని అతని దగ్గరకు తీసి కొనివచ్చెను.

13. And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand on Israel's left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand, on Israel's right hand, and drew them near unto him.

14. మనష్షే పెద్దవాడైనందున ఇశ్రాయేలు తన చేతులను యుక్తిగా చాచి చిన్నవాడైన ఎఫ్రాయిము తలమీద తన కుడిచేతిని మనష్షే తలమీద తన యెడమచేతిని ఉంచెను.

14. Then Israel put forth his right hand and laid it upon the head of Ephraim, though, he, was the younger, and his left hand upon the head of Manasseh, crossing his hands, although, Manasseh, was the first-born.

15. అతడు యోసేపును దీవించి - నా పితరులైన అబ్రాహాము ఇస్సాకులు ఎవని యెదుట నడుచుచుండిరో ఆ దేవుడు, నేను పుట్టినది మొదలుకొని నేటివరకును ఎవడు నన్ను పోషించెనో ఆ దేవుడు,

15. Thus blessed he Joseph, and said, God himself before whom walked my fathers. Abraham and Isaac, God himself who hath been my shepherd, since I came into being until this day;

16. అనగా సమస్తమైన కీడులలోనుండి నన్ను తప్పించిన దూత యీ పిల్లలను ఆశీర్వదించునుగాక; నా పేరును అబ్రాహాము ఇస్సాకులను నా పితరుల పేరును వారికి పెట్టబడునుగాక; భూమియందు వారు బహుగా విస్తరించుదురుగాక అని చెప్పెను.

16. The Messenger who hath been my redeemer from all evil bless the lads! And may there be called upon them, my name, and the name of my fathers. Abraham and Isaac; And may they swarm into a multitude, in the midst of the earth!

17. యోసేపు ఎఫ్రాయిము తలమీద తన తండ్రి కుడిచెయ్యి పెట్టుట చూచినప్పుడు అది అతని కిష్టము కాకపోయెను గనుక అతడు మనష్షే తలమీద పెట్టించవలెనని తన తండ్రి చెయ్యి ఎఫ్రాయిము తలమీదనుండియెత్తి

17. And Joseph saw that his father had laid his right hand on the head of Ephraim and it was displeasing in his eyes, so he took hold of his fathers hand to remove it from off the bead of Ephraim, on to the head of Manasseh.

18. నా తండ్రీ అట్లు కాదు; ఇతడే పెద్దవాడు, నీ కుడిచెయ్యి యితని తలమీద పెట్టుమని చెప్పెను.

18. And Joseph said unto his father Not so, my father! for, this, is the firstborn, lay thy right hand upon his head.

19. అయినను అతని తండ్రి ఒప్పక అది నాకు తెలియును, నా కుమారుడా అది నాకు తెలియును; ఇతడును ఒక జనసమూహమై గొప్పవాడగును గాని యితని తమ్ముడు ఇతని కంటె గొప్పవాడగును, అతని సంతానము జనముల సమూహమగునని చెప్పెను.

19. And his father refused, and said I know my son, I know! He also, shall become a people, and he also, shall become great, but nevertheless, his younger brother, shall become greater than he, and his seed, shall become a filling up of the nations.

20. ఆ దినమందు అతడు వారిని దీవించి ఎఫ్రాయిమువలెను మనష్షేవలెను దేవుడు నిన్ను చేయును గాకని ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు నీ పేరు చెప్పి దీవించెదరనెను. ఆలాగు అతడు మనష్షేకంటె ఎఫ్రాయిమును ముందుగా ఉంచెను.

20. And he blessed them on that day, saying In thee, let Israel bless himself saying, God set thee as Ephraim, and as Manasseh! So he set Ephraim before Manasseh.

21. మరియు ఇశ్రాయేలు - ఇదిగో నేను చనిపోవుచున్నాను, అయినను దేవుడు మీకు తోడైయుండి మీ పితరుల దేశమునకు మిమ్మును మరల తీసికొని పోవును.

21. And Israel said unto Joseph: Lo! I, am about to die, but it shall come to pass that, God will be with you, and will take you back into the land of your fathers.

22. నేను నీ సహోదరులకంటె నీకు ఒక భాగము ఎక్కువగా ఇచ్చితిని. అది నా కత్తితోను నా వింటితోను అమోరీయుల చేతిలోనుండి తీసికొంటినని యోసేపుతో చెప్పెను.

22. But, I, have given to thee one mountain-track above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite, with my sword and with my bow.
