1. ఇశ్రాయేలువారి సకల గోత్రములవారు హెబ్రోనులో దావీదునొద్దకు వచ్చిచిత్తగించుము; మేము నీ ఎముకనంటినవారము రక్తసంబంధులము;

1. Then came all the tribes of Israel to Dauid vnto Hebron, and said thus, Beholde, we are thy bones and thy flesh.

2. పూర్వ కాలమున సౌలు మామీద రాజై యుండగా నీవు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను నడిపించువాడవై ఉంటివి. అయితే ఇప్పుడునీవు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులనుబట్టి నా జనులను పాలించి వారిమీద అధిపతివై యుందువని యెహోవా నిన్నుగురించి సెల విచ్చియున్నాడని చెప్పిరి.

2. And in time past when Saul was our King, thou leddest Israel in and out: and the Lord hath sayde to thee, Thou shalt feede my people Israel, and thou shalt be a captaine ouer Israel.

3. మరియు ఇశ్రాయేలువారి పెద్దలందరు హెబ్రోనులో రాజునొద్దకు రాగా రాజైన దావీదు హెబ్రోనులో యెహోవా సన్నిధిని వారితో నిబంధన చేసెను గనుక ఇశ్రాయేలువారిమీద రాజగుటకై వారు దావీదునకు పట్టాభిషేకము చేసిరి.

3. So all the Elders of Israel came to the King to Hebron: and King Dauid made a couenant with them in Hebron before the Lord: and they anoynted Dauid King ouer Israel.

4. దావీదు ముప్పది యేండ్లవాడై యేల నారంభించి నలు వది సంవత్సరములు పరిపాలనచేసెను.

4. Dauid was thirtie yeere olde when he began to reigne: and hee reigned fortie yeere.

5. హెబ్రోనులో అతడు యూదా వారందరిమీద ఏడు సంవత్సరములు ఆరు మాసములు, యెరూషలేములో ఇశ్రాయేలు యూదాల వారందరిమీద ముప్పదిమూడు సంవత్సరములు పరిపాలన చేసెను.

5. In Hebron hee reigned ouer Iudah seuen yeere, and sixe moneths: and in Ierusalem hee reigned thirtie and three yeeres ouer all Israel and Iudah.

6. యెబూసీయులు దేశములో నివాసులై యుండగా రాజును అతని పక్షమువారును యెరూ షలేమునకు వచ్చిరి.

6. The King also and his men went to Ierusalem vnto the Iebusites, the inhabitants of the land: who spake vnto Dauid, saying, Except thou take away the blinde and the lame, thou shalt not come in hither: thinking that Dauid coulde not come thither.

7. యెబూసీయులు దావీదు లోపలికి రాలేడని తలంచినీవు వచ్చినయెడల ఇచ్చటి గ్రుడ్డి వారును కుంటివారును నిన్ను తోలివేతురని దావీదునకు వర్తమానము పంపియుండిరి అయినను దావీదు పురమన బడిన సీయోను కోటను దావీదు స్వాధీన పరచుకొనెను. ఆ దినమున అతడు

7. But Dauid tooke the fort of Zion: this is the citie of Dauid.

8. యెబూసీయులను హతము చేయు వారందరు నీటి కాలువపైకి వెళ్లి, దావీదునకు హేయులైన గ్రుడ్డివారిని కుంటివారిని హతము చేయవలెనని చెప్పెను. అందును బట్టి గ్రుడ్డివారును కుంటివారును ఉన్నారు; అతడు ఇంటిలోనికి రాలేడని సామెతపుట్టెను.

8. Nowe Dauid had sayd the same day, Whosoeuer smiteth the Iebusites, and getteth vp to the gutters and smiteth the lame and blinde, which Dauids soule hateth, I will preferre him: therefore they saide, The blinde and the lame shall not come into that house.

9. దావీదు ఆ కోటలో కాపురముండి దానికి దావీదుపురమను పేరు పెట్టెను. మరియు మిల్లోనుండి దిగువకు దావీదు ఒక ప్రాకారమును కట్టించెను.

9. So Dauid dwelt in that forte, and called it the citie of Dauid, and Dauid built rounde about it, from Millo, and inward.

10. దావీదు అంతకంతకు వర్ధిల్లెను. సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా అతనికి తోడుగా ఉండెను.

10. And Dauid prospered and grewe: for the Lord God of hostes was with him.

11. తూరురాజగు హీరాము, దూతలను దేవదారు మ్రాను లను వడ్రంగులను కాసెపనివారిని పంపగా వారు దావీదు కొరకు ఒక నగరిని కట్టిరి.

11. Hiram also king of Tyrus sent messengers to Dauid, and cedar trees, and carpenters, and masons for walles: and they built Dauid an house.

12. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులమీద యెహోవా తన్ను రాజుగా స్థిరపరచెననియు, ఇశ్రా యేలీయులనుబట్టి ఆయన జనుల నిమిత్తము, రాజ్యము ప్రబలము చేయుననియు దావీదు గ్రహించెను.

12. Then Dauid knewe that the Lord had stablished him King ouer Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdome for his people Israels sake.

13. దావీదు హెబ్రోనునుండి వచ్చిన తరువాత యెరూష లేములోనుండి యింక అనేకమైన ఉపపత్నులను భార్యలను చేసికొనగా దావీదునకు ఇంకను పెక్కుమంది కుమారులును కుమార్తెలును పుట్టిరి

13. And Dauid tooke him more concubines and wiues out of Ierusalem, after hee was come from Hebron, and more sonnes and daughters were borne to Dauid.

14. And these bee the names of the sonnes that were borne vnto him in Ierusale: Shammua, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Salomon,

15. నాతాను సొలొమోను ఇభారు ఏలీషూవ నెపెగు యాఫీయ

15. And Ibhar, and Elishua, and Nepheg, and Iaphia,

16. ఎలీషామా ఎల్యాదా ఎలీపేలెటు అనువారు.

16. And Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphalet.

17. జనులు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులమీద రాజుగా దావీదునకు పట్టాభిషేకము చేసిరని ఫిలిష్తీయులకు వినబడినప్పుడు దావీదును పట్టుకొనుటకై ఫిలిష్తీయులందరు వచ్చిరి. దావీదు ఆ వార్తవిని ప్రాకారస్థలమునకు వెళ్లిపోయెను.

17. But when the Philistims hearde that they had anoynted Dauid King ouer Israel, all the Philistims came vp to seeke Dauid: and when Dauid heard, he went downe to a fort.

18. ఫలిష్తీయులు దండెత్తివచ్చి రెఫాయీము లోయలో వ్యాపింపగా

18. But the Philistims came, and spred themselues in the valley of Rephaim.

19. దావీదునేను ఫిలిష్తీయుల కెదురుగా పోయెదనా? వారిని నా చేతికప్పగింతువా? అని యెహోవా యొద్దవిచారించినప్పుడుపొమ్ము, నిస్సందేహముగా వారిని నీ చేతికప్పగించుదునని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చెను.

19. Then Dauid asked counsel of the Lord, saying, Shall I goe vp to the Philistims? wilt thou deliuer them into mine handes? And the Lord answered Dauid, Goe vp: for I will doubtlesse deliuer the Philistims into thine handes.

20. కాబట్టి దావీదు బయల్పెరాజీమునకు వచ్చి అచ్చట వారిని హతముచేసి, జలప్రవాహములు కొట్టుకొనిపోవునట్లు యెహోవా నాశత్రువులను నా యెదుట నిలువకుండ నాశనము చేసెననుకొని ఆ స్థలమునకు బయల్పెరాజీమను పేరు పెట్టెను.

20. Then Dauid came to Baal-perazim, and smote them there, and sayde, The Lord hath deuided mine enemies asunder before mee, as waters be deuided asunder: therefore he called the name of that place, Baal-perazim.

21. ఫలిష్తీయులు తమ బొమ్మలను అచ్చట విడిచిపెట్టి పారిపోగా దావీదును అతని వారును వాటిని పట్టు కొనిరి.

21. And there they left their images, and Dauid and his men burnt them.

22. ఫిలిష్తీయులు మరల వచ్చి రెఫాయీము లోయలో వ్యాపింపగా

22. Againe the Philistims came vp, and spred themselues in the valley of Rephaim.

23. దావీదు యెహోవాయొద్ద విచారణ చేసెను. అందుకు యెహోవానీవు వెళ్లవద్దుచుట్టు తిరిగిపోయి, కంబళిచెట్లకు ఎదురుగావారిమీద పడుము.

23. And when Dauid asked counsell of the Lord, hee answered, Thou shalt not goe vp, but turne about behinde them, and come vpon them ouer against the mulberie trees.

24. కంబళిచెట్ల కొనలను చప్పుడు వినగానే ఫిలిష్తీయులను హతముచేయుటకై యెహోవా బయలుదేరుచున్నాడు గనుక అప్పుడే నీవు త్వరగా బయలుదేరవలెనని సెల విచ్చెను.

24. And when thou hearest the noyse of one going in the toppes of the mulberie trees, then remoue: for then shall the Lord goe out before thee, to smite the hoste of the Philistims.

25. దావీదు యెహోవా తనకాజ్ఞాపించిన ప్రకారము చేసి, గెబనుండి గెజెరువరకు ఫిలిష్తీయులను తరుముచు హతముచేసెను.

25. Then Dauid did so as the Lord had commanded him, and smote the Philistims from Geba, vntil thou come to Gazer.
