1. దావీదు ఫిలిష్తీయులను ఓడించి లోపరచుకొని వారి వశములోనుండి మెతెగమ్మాను పట్టుకొనెను.

1. And it came to pass after this, that David attacked the Philistines, and put them to flight, and David took the tribute from out of the hand of the Philistines.

2. మరియు అతడు మోయాబీయులను ఓడించి, (పట్టుబడిన వారిని) నేలపొడుగున పండజేసి, తాడుతో కొలిచి రెండు తాడుల పొడుగుననున్నవారు చావవలెననియు, ఒకతాడు పొడు గున నున్నవారు బ్రతుకవచ్చుననియు నిర్ణయించెను. అంతట మోయాబీయులు దావీదునకు దాసులై కప్పము చెల్లించుచుండిరి.

2. Then David attacked Moab, and measured them out with lines, having laid them down on the ground. And there were two lines for slaying, and two lines he kept alive. And Moab became servants to David, yielding tribute.

3. సోబారాజును రెహోబు కుమారుడునగు హదదెజరు యూఫ్రటీసు నదివరకు తన రాజ్యమును వ్యాపింపజేయవలెనని బయలుదేరగా దావీదు అతని నోడించి

3. Then David attacked Hadadezer the son of Rehob king of Zobah, as he went to extend his power to the River Euphrates.

4. అతనియొద్దనుండి వెయ్యిన్ని యేడు వందల మంది గుఱ్ఱపు రౌతులను ఇరువది వేల కాల్బలమును పట్టు కొని, వారి గుఱ్ఱములలో నూటిని ఉంచుకొని, మిగిలిన వాటికి చీలమండ నరములను తెగవేయించెను.

4. And David took a thousand of his chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David hamstrung all his chariot [horses], but he reserved for himself a hundred chariots.

5. మరియు దమస్కులోనున్న సిరియనులు సోబారాజగు హదదెజెరు నకు సహాయము చేయరాగా దావీదు సిరియనులలో ఇరు వదిరెండు వేల మందిని ఓడించి

5. And Syria of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, and David struck down twenty-two thousand of the Syrians.

6. దమస్కువశముననున్న సిరియదేశమందు దండును ఉంచగా, సిరియనులు దావీదు నకు దాసులై కప్పము చెల్లించుచుండిరి. దావీదు ఎక్కడికి పోయినను యెహోవా అతనిని కాపాడుచుండెను.

6. And David placed a garrison in Syria near Damascus, and the Syrians became servants and tributaries to David. And the Lord preserved David wherever he went.

7. హదదెజెరు సేవకులకున్న బంగారు డాళ్లు దావీదు పట్టుకొని యెరూషలేమునకు తీసికొని వచ్చెను.

7. And David took the golden bracelets which were on the servants of Hadadezer king of Zobah, and brought them to Jerusalem. And Susakim king of Egypt took them, when he went up to Jerusalem in the days of Rehoboam son of Solomon.

8. మరియు బెతహు బేరోతై అను హదదెజెరు పట్టణములలో దావీదు రాజు విస్తారమైన యిత్తడిని పట్టుకొనెను.

8. And King David took from Metebac, and from the choice cities of Hadadezer, very much brass; with that Solomon made the bronze sea, and the pillars, and the lavers, and all the furniture.

9. దావీదు హదదెజెరు దండు అంతయు ఓడించిన సమా చారము హమాతు రాజైన తోయికి వినబడెను.

9. And Toi the king of Hemath heard that David had defeated all the armies of Hadadezer.

10. హదదె జెరునకును తోయికిని యుద్ధములు జరుగుచుండెను గనుక దావీదు హదదెజెరుతో యుద్ధము చేసి అతనిని ఓడించి యుండుట తోయి విని, తన కుమారుడగు యోరాము చేతికి వెండి బంగారు ఇత్తడి వస్తువులను కానుకలుగా అప్పగించి కుశల ప్రశ్నలడిగి దావీదుతోకూడ సంతో షించుటకై అతనిని దావీదు నొద్దకు పంపెను.

10. And Toi sent Joram his son to King David, to ask him of his welfare, and to congratulate him on his fighting against Hadadezer and smiting him, for he was an enemy to Hadadezer: and in his hands were vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass.

11. రాజైన దావీదు తాను జయించిన జనములయొద్ద పట్టుకొనిన వెండి బంగారములతో వీటినిచేర్చి యెహోవాకు ప్రతిష్ఠించెను.

11. And these King David consecrated to the Lord, with the silver and with the gold which he consecrated out of all the cities which he conquered,

12. వాటిని అతడు సిరియనులయొద్దనుండియు మోయాబీయుల యొద్దనుండియు అమ్మోనీయుల యొద్దనుండియు ఫిలిష్తీ యుల యొద్దనుండియు అమాలేకీయుల యొద్దనుండియు రెహోబు కుమారుడగు హదదెజెరు అను సోబారాజునొద్ద నుండియు పట్టుకొని యుండెను.

12. out of Edom and out of Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amelek, and from the spoils of Hadadezer son of Rehob king of Zobah.

13. దావీదు ఉప్పు లోయలో సిరియనులగు పదునెనిమిది వేలమందిని హతము చేసి తిరిగి రాగా అతని పేరు ప్రసిద్ధమాయెను.

13. And David made [himself] a name. And when he returned he struck Edom in Gebelem to [the number of] eighteen thousand.

14. మరియు ఎదోము దేశమందు అతడు దండు నుంచెను. ఎదోమీ యులు దావీదునకు దాసులు కాగా ఎదోము దేశమంతట అతడు కావలిదండుంచెను; దావీదు ఎక్కడికి పోయినను యెహోవా అతనిని కాపాడుచుండెను.

14. And he set garrisons in Edom, even in all Edom: and all the Edomites were servants to the king. And the Lord preserved David wherever he went.

15. దావీదు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరిమీద రాజై తన జనుల నందరిని నీతి న్యాయములనుబట్టి యేలుచుండెను.

15. And David reigned over all Israel: and David brought about judgment and justice over all his people.

16. సెరూయా కుమారుడగు యోవాబు సైన్యమునకు అధి పతియై యుండెను. అహీలూదు కుమారుడగు యెహోషా పాతు రాజ్యపు దస్తావేజులమీద నుండెను.

16. And Joab the son of Zeruiah [was] over the army; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud [was keeper] of the records.

17. అహీటూబు కుమారుడగు సాదోకును అబ్యాతారు కుమారుడగు అహీమెలెకును యాజకులు; శెరాయా లేఖికుడు;

17. And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech son of Abiathar, [were] priests; and Seraiah [was] the scribe,

18. యెహోయాదా కుమారుడగు బెనాయా కెరేతీయులకును పెలేతీయులకును అధిపతి; దావీదు కుమారులు సభా ముఖ్యులు.

18. and Benaiah son of Jehoida [was] counselor, and the Cherethite and the Pelethite and the sons of David were princes of the court.
