1. షేబదేశపురాణి యెహోవా నామమును గూర్చియు, సొలొమోనునకు కలిగిన కీర్తినిగూర్చియు విని, గూఢార్థముగల మాటలచేత అతనిని శోధించుటకై వచ్చెను.

1. And the queen of Saba heard of the wisdom of Salomon concerning the name of the LORD, and came to prove him with riddles.

2. ఆమె గొప్ప పరివారముతో, గంధవర్గమును విస్తారమైన బంగారమును రత్నములను ఒంటెలమీద ఎక్కించుకొని యెరూషలేమునకు వచ్చెను. సొలొమోను దర్శనముచేసి తనకు తోచినదానినంతటినిబట్టి అతనితో మాటలాడగా

2. And she came to Jerusalem with a mighty great multitude of Camels that bare sweet odours and gold exceeding much, and precious stones. And when she was come to Salomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.

3. ఆమె వేసిన ప్రశ్నలన్ని టికి సొలొమోను ప్రత్యుత్తరము చెప్పెను; రాజునకు మరుగైనదేదియు లేనందున ఆమె ప్రశ్న వేసినవాటన్నిటి భావము చెప్పెను.

3. And Salomon expounded her all her questions, that there was not one thing hid from the king which he expounded her not.

4. షేబరాణి సొలొమోనుయొక్క జ్ఞానమును అతడు కట్టించిన మందిరమును,

4. And when the queen of Saba had seen all Salomon's wisdom and the house that he had built,

5. అతని బల్లమీదనున్న భోజనద్రవ్య ములను, అతని సేవకులు కూర్చుండు పీఠములను అతని ఉపచారులు కనిపెట్టుటను, వారి వస్త్రములను, అతనికి గిన్నె నందించువారిని, యెహోవా మందిరమందు అతడు అర్పించు దహనబలులను చూచి విస్మయమొందినదై

5. and the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the standing of his servitors and their apparel, and his butlers and his sacrifice that he offered in the house of the LORD, she was astonied.

6. రాజుతో ఇట్లనెనునీ కార్యములనుగూర్చియు జ్ఞానమును గూర్చియు నా దేశమందు నేను వినిన మాట నిజమే;

6. Then she said to the king: the word I heard in mine own land of thy deeds and wisdom, is true.

7. అయి నను నేను వచ్చి కన్నులార చూడకమునుపు ఆ మాటలను నమ్మకయుంటిని; ఉన్నదానిలో సగమైనను నాతో చెప్ప బడలేదని యిప్పుడు నేను తెలిసి కొనుచున్నాను. నీ జ్ఞానమును నీ భాగ్యమును నేను వినినదానిని బహుగా మించి యున్నవి;

7. How be it I believed it not, till I came and saw it with mine eyes. And see, the one half was not told me: for thy wisdom and goodness exceedeth the fame which I heard.

8. నీ జనులు భాగ్యవంతులు, నీ ముందర ఎల్లప్పు డును నిలిచి నీ జ్ఞానవచనములను వినుచుండు నీ సేవకులును భాగ్యవంతులు

8. Happy are thy men: and happy are these thy servants, which stand ever before thee and hear thy wisdom.

9. నీ యందు ఆనందించి నిన్ను ఇశ్రా యేలీయులమీద రాజుగా నియమించిన నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు స్తోత్రము కలుగునుగాక. యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందు శాశ్వత ప్రేమయుంచెను గనుక నీతిన్యాయములను అనుసరించి రాజకార్యములను జరిగిం చుటకు ఆయన నిన్ను నియమించెను అనెను.

9. And blessed be the LORD thy God which had a lust to thee, to set thee on the seat of Israel, because the LORD loved Israel for ever, and therefore made thee king, to do equity and righteousness.

10. మరియు ఆమె రాజునకు రెండువందల నలువది మణుగుల బంగార మును, బహు విస్తారమైన గంధవర్గమును, రత్నములను ఇచ్చెను. షేబదేశపు రాణి రాజైన సొలొమోనునకు ఇచ్చిన గంధ వర్గములంత విస్తారము మరి ఎన్నడైనను రాలేదు.

10. And she gave the king an hundredth and twenty talents of gold, and of sweet odours exceeding much, and precious stones. There came never after such abundance of sweet odors as the Queen of Saba gave to king Salomon.

11. మరియు ఓఫీరు దేశమునుండి బంగారము తెచ్చిన హీరాము ఓడలు ఓఫీరునుండి చందనపు మ్రానులను రత్నములను బహు విస్తారముగా తెచ్చెను.

11. And thereto the ships of Hiram that brought gold from Ophir, brought from Ophir great plenty of Almuge trees and precious stones.

12. ఈ చందనపు మ్రానుల చేత రాజు యెహోవా మందిరమునకును రాజనగరునకును స్తంభములను, గాయకులకు సితారాలను స్వరమండలములను చేయించెను. ఇప్పుడు అటువంటి చందనపు మ్రానులు దొరకవు, ఎక్కడను కనబడవు.

12. And king Salomon made of the Almuge trees pillars in the house of the LORD in the king's palace, and made harps and psalteries for singers. There came no more Almuge trees so, nor was any more seen unto this day.

13. సొలొమోను తన ప్రభావమునకు తగినట్టు షేబదేశపు రాణికిచ్చినదిపోగ ఆమె కోరినప్రకారము ఆమె యిచ్ఛాపూర్తిగా ఆమె కిచ్చెను; అప్పుడు ఆమెయు ఆమె సేవకులును తమ దేశ మునకు తిరిగి వెళ్లిరి.

13. And king Salomon gave unto the Queen of Saba all her desire that she asked of him: besides that he gave her with his own hand. And so she returned unto her own country with her servants.

14. ఏటేట సొలొమోనునకువచ్చు బంగారము వెయ్యిన్ని మూడువందల ముప్పదిరెండు మణుగుల యెత్తు.

14. The weight of gold that came to Salomon in one year, was six hundredth three score and six talents of gold,

15. ఇదియు గాక గంధవర్గములు మొదలైనవి వర్తకులయొద్దనుండియు అరబి రాజులయొద్ద నుండియు దేశాధికారుల యొద్ద నుండియు అతనికి చాలా వచ్చుచుండెను.

15. besides that he had of chapmen and merchants of Poticaries and of all the kings of Araby and of the lords of the country.

16. రాజైన సొలొమోను సుత్తెతో కొట్టిన బంగారముతో అలుగులు గల రెండువందల డాళ్లను చేయించెను; డాలు ఒకటింటికి ఆరువందల తులముల యెత్తు బంగారముండెను.

16. And king Salomon made two hundredth bucklers of beaten gold, six hundredth sicles of gold went to a buckler.

17. మరియు సుత్తెతో కొట్టిన బంగారముతో అతడు మూడువందల కేడెములను చేయించెను; కేడెము ఒకటింటికి మూడువందల బంగారపు తులములయెత్తు బంగారముండెను; వీటిని రాజు లెబానోను అరణ్యపు మందిరమందుంచెను.

17. And he made three hundredth shields of beaten gold, three pounds of gold going to a piece, and put them in the house of the wood of Libanon.

18. మరియు రాజు దంతముచేత పెద్ద సింహాసనము చేయించి సువర్ణముతో దాని పొదిగించెను.

18. And the king made a great seat of Ivory and covered it with precious gold.

19. ఈ సింహాసనమునకు ఆరు మెట్లుండెను; సింహాసనము మీది భాగపు వెనుకతట్టు గుండ్రముగా ఉండెను; ఆసనమునకు ఇరుపార్శ్యముల యందు ఊతలుండెను; ఊతలదగ్గర రెండు సింహములు నిలిచియుండెను.

19. And the seat had six steps. And the top of the seat was round behind his back with pommels on either side on the place where he sat, and two Lions standing beside the pommels.

20. ఇరుప్రక్కల ఆరుమెట్లమీద పండ్రెండు సింహములు నిలిచియుండెను; అటువంటిది ఏ రాజ్యమందైనను చేయబడలేదు.

20. And there stood twelve lions on the steps, six on a side. There was none like seen in any kingdom.

21. మరియు రాజైన సొలొ మోను పానపాత్రలు బంగారపువై యుండెను; లెబానోను అరణ్య మందిరపు పాత్రలును బంగారపువే, వెండిది యొకటియు లేదు; సొలొమోను దినములలో వెండి యెన్నికకు రాలేదు.

21. And all king Salomon's drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the wood of Libanon were of pure gold. And as for silver it was nothing worth in the days of Salomon.

22. సముద్రమందు హీరాము ఓడలతో కూడ తర్షీషు ఓడలును రాజునకు కలిగి యుండెను; ఈ తర్షీషు ఓడలు మూడు సంవత్సరములకు ఒకమారు బంగార మును వెండిని దంతమును కోతులను నెమిలి పిట్టలను తీసికొని వచ్చుచుండెను.

22. For the sea ships which the king had in the sea, with the ships of Hiram, came every third years laden with gold, silver, Ivory, apes and peacocks.

23. ఈ ప్రకారము రాజైన సొలొమోను ధనముచేతను జ్ఞానముచేతను భూపతులందరిలో అధికుడై యుండెను.

23. And so king Salomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.

24. అతని హృదయమందు దేవుడు ఉంచిన జ్ఞానవాక్కులను వినుటకై లోకులందరును అతని చూడగోరిరి.

24. And all the world resorted to Salomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

25. ఏర్పాటైన ప్రతిమనిషి వెండివస్తువులు గాని, బంగారపు వస్తువులు గాని, వస్త్రములు గాని, యుద్ధాయుధములు గాని, గంధవర్గములు గాని, గుఱ్ఱములు గాని, కంచరగాడిదలు గాని, తన తన వంతుచొప్పున కట్నములను ఏటేట తీసికొని వచ్చుచుండెను.

25. And brought him every man his present, vessels of silver and of gold, and of raiment, harness, sweet odours, horses and Mules, year by year.

26. మరియు సొలొమోను రథములను రౌతులను సమకూర్చెను; అతడు వెయ్యిన్ని నాలుగువందల రథములును పండ్రెండువేల రౌతులును గలవాడై యుండెను; వీటిని అతడు రథములకై యేర్పడిన పురములలోను యెరూషలేమునందు రాజునొద్దను ఉంచ నిర్ణయించెను.

26. And Salomon gathered together chariots and horsemen: so that he had a thousand and four hundredth chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, which he bestowed in the chariot cities and with the king at Jerusalem.

27. రాజు యెరూషలేములో వెండినిరాళ్లంత విస్తారముగా వాడుక చేసెను; దేవదారు మ్రానులను షెఫేలా ప్రదేశముననున్న మేడిచెట్లవలె విస్తరింప జేసెను.

27. And the king made silver in Jerusalem as plenteous as stones, and Cedar as plenteous as mulberry trees that grow in the valleys.

28. సొలొమోనునకుండు గుఱ్ఱములు ఐగుప్తులోనుండి తేబడెను; రాజు వర్తకులు ఒక్కొక్క గుంపునకు నియా మకమైన ధరనిచ్చి గుంపులు గుంపులుగ కొనితెప్పించిరి.

28. And Salomon's horses came out of Egypt from Keva: the merchants fetched them from Keva at a price.

29. వారు ఐగుప్తులోనుండి కొని తెచ్చిన రథమొకటింటికి ఆరు వందల తులముల వెండియు, గుఱ్ఱమొకటింటికి నూట ఏబది తులముల వెండియు ఇచ్చిరి. హిత్తీయుల రాజు లందరికొరకును అరాము రాజులకొరకును వారు ఆ ధరకే వాటిని తీసికొనిరి.

29. A chariot came out of Egypt for six hundredth sicles of silver, and an horse for an hundredth and fifty. And even so by the hands of the said merchants, horses were brought out for all the kings of the Hethites and for the kings of Syria.
