1. నెబాతు కుమారుడును రాజునైన యరొబాము ఏలు బడిలో పదునెనిమిదవ సంవత్సరమున అబీయాము యూదా వారిని ఏలనారంభించెను.

1. Now in the eighteenth year of king Yarov`am the son of Nevat began Aviyam to reign over Yehudah.

2. అతడు మూడు సంవత్సరములు యెరూషలేమునందు రాజుగా ఉండెను; అతని తల్లి పేరు మయకా; ఆమె అబీషాలోము కుమార్తె.

2. Three years reigned he in Yerushalayim: and his mother's name was Ma`akhah the daughter of Avishalom.

3. అతడు తన తండ్రి పూర్వము అనుసరించిన పాపమార్గములన్నిటిలో నడిచెను; తన పితరుడైన దావీదు హృదయము తన దేవుడైన యెహోవాయెడల యథార్థముగా ఉన్నట్లు అతని హృదయము యథార్థముగా ఉండలేదు.

3. He walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him; and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father.

4. దావీదు హిత్తీయుడైన ఊరియా సంగతియందు తప్ప తన జీవిత దినములన్నియు యెహోవా దృష్టికి యథార్థముగా నడుచు కొనుచు, యెహోవా అతనికిచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞలలో దేని విషయ మందును తప్పిపోకుండెను గనుక

4. Nevertheless for David's sake did the LORD his God give him a lamp in Yerushalayim, to set up his son after him, and to establish Yerushalayim;

5. దావీదు నిమిత్తము అతని తరువాత అతని కుమారుని నిలుపుటకును, యెరూష లేమును స్థిరపరచుటకును, అతని దేవుడైన యెహోవా యెరూషలేమునందు దావీదునకు దీపముగా అతని ఉండ నిచ్చెను.

5. because David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and didn't turn aside from anything that he commanded him all the days of his life, except only in the matter of Uriyah the Hittite.

6. రెహబాము బ్రదికిన దినములన్నియు అతనికిని యరొబామునకును యుద్ధము జరుగుచుండెను.

6. Now there was war between Rechav`am and Yarov`am all the days of his life.

7. అబీ యాము చేసిన యితర కార్యములనుగూర్చియు, అతడు చేసిన వాటన్నిటినిగూర్చియు యూదారాజుల వృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడి యున్నది. అబీయామునకును యరొబామునకును యుద్ధము కలిగి యుండెను.

7. The rest of the acts of Aviyam, and all that he did, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yehudah? There was war between Aviyam and Yarov`am.

8. అబీయాము తన పితరులతో కూడ నిద్రించగా వారు దావీదు పురమందు అతనిని సమాధిచేసిరి; అతని కుమారుడైన ఆసా అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

8. Aviyam slept with his fathers; and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his place.

9. ఇశ్రాయేలువారికి రాజైన యరొబాము ఏలుబడియందు ఇరువదియవ సంవత్సరమున ఆసా యూదావారిని ఏల నారంభించెను.

9. In the twentieth year of Yarov`am king of Yisra'el began Asa to reign over Yehudah.

10. అతడు నలువదియొక సంవత్సరములుయెరూషలేమునందు ఏలుచుండెను. అతని అవ్వపేరు మయకా, యీమె అబీషాలోము కుమార్తె.

10. Forty-one years reigned he in Yerushalayim: and his mother's name was Ma`akhah the daughter of Avishalom.

11. ఆసా తన పితరుడైన దావీదువలె యెహోవా దృష్టికి యథార్థముగా నడుచుకొని

11. Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father.

12. పురుషగాములను దేశములోనుండి వెళ్ల గొట్టి తన పితరులు చేయించిన విగ్రహములన్నిటిని పడ గొట్టెను.

12. He put away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.

13. మరియు తన అవ్వ యైన మయకా అసహ్యమైన యొకదాని చేయించి, దేవతాస్తంభము ఒకటి నిలుపగా ఆసా ఆ విగ్రహమును ఛిన్నాభిన్నములుగా కొట్టించి, కిద్రోను ఓరను దాని కాల్చివేసి ఆమె పట్టపుదేవికాకుండ ఆమెను తొలగించెను.

13. Also Ma`akhah his mother he removed from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; and Asa cut down her image, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

14. ఆసా తన దినములన్నియు హృదయపూర్వకముగా యెహోవాను అనుసరించెను గాని ఉన్నత స్థలములను తీసివేయకపోయెను.

14. But the high places were not taken away: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect with the LORD all his days.

15. మరియు అతడు తన తండ్రి ప్రతిష్ఠించిన వస్తువులను తాను ప్రతిష్ఠించిన వస్తువులను, వెండియు బంగారమును ఉపకరణములను యెహోవా మందిరములోనికి తెప్పించెను.

15. He brought into the house of the LORD the things that his father had dedicated, and the things that himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.

16. వారు బ్రదికిన దినములన్నిటను ఆసాకును ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజైన బయె షాకును యుద్ధము జరుగుచుండెను.

16. There was war between Asa and Ba`sha king of Yisra'el all their days.

17. ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజైన బయెషా యూదావారికి విరోధియై యుండి, యూదా రాజైన ఆసాయొద్దనుండి యెవరును రాకుండను అతని యొద్దకు ఎవరును పోకుండను, రామాపట్టణమును కట్టిం చెను.

17. Ba`sha king of Yisra'el went up against Yehudah, and built Ramah, that he might not allow anyone to go out or come in to Asa king of Yehudah.

18. కాబట్టి ఆసా యెహోవా మందిరపు ఖజానాలోను రాజనగరుయొక్క ఖజానాలోను శేషించిన వెండి అంతయు బంగారమంతయు తీసి తన సేవకులచేతి కప్ప గించి, హెజ్యోనునకు పుట్టిన టబ్రిమ్మోను కుమారుడును దమస్కులో నివాసము చేయుచు అరామునకు రాజునైయున్న బెన్హదదుకు పంపి మనవి చేసినదేమనగా

18. Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants; and king Asa sent them to Ben-Hadad, the son of Tavrimon, the son of Hezyon, king of Aram, who lived at Dammesek, saying,

19. నీ తండ్రికిని నా తండ్రికిని సంధి కలిగియున్నట్లు నీకును నాకును సంధి కలిగి యుండవలెను గనుక వెండి బంగార ములను నీకు కానుకగా పంపించుచున్నాను; నీవు వచ్చి ఇశ్రా యేలు రాజైన బయెషా నాయొద్దనుండి తిరిగిపోవునట్లు నీకును అతనికిని కలిగిన నిబంధనను తప్పింపవలెను.

19. There is a league between me and you, between my father and your father: behold, I have sent to you a present of silver and gold; go, break your league with Ba`sha king of Yisra'el, that he may depart from me.

20. కాబట్టి బెన్హదదు రాజైన ఆసా చెప్పిన మాటకు సమ్మతించి తన సైన్యముల అధిపతులను ఇశ్రాయేలు పట్టణముల మీదికి పంపి ఈయోనును దానును ఆబేల్బేత్మయకాను కిన్నెరెతును నఫ్తాలీ దేశమును పట్టుకొని కొల్లపెట్టెను.

20. Ben-Hadad listened to king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Yisra'el, and struck `Iyon, and Dan, and Avel-Beit-Ma`akhah, and all Kinnarot, with all the land of Naftali.

21. అది బయెషాకు వర్తమానము కాగా రామాపట్టణము కట్టుట మాని తిర్సాకు పోయి నివాసము చేసెను.

21. It happened, when Ba`sha heard of it, that he left off building Ramah, and lived in Tirtzah.

22. అప్పుడు రాజైన ఆసా యెవరును నిలిచిపోకుండ యూదాదేశపు వారందరు రావలెనని ప్రకటన చేయగా జనులు సమకూడి బయెషా కట్టించుచుండిన రామాపట్టణపు రాళ్లను కఱ్ఱలను ఎత్తికొని వచ్చిరి. రాజైన ఆసా వాటి చేత బెన్యామీను సంబంధమైన గెబను మిస్పాను కట్టించెను.

22. Then king Asa made a proclamation to all Yehudah; none was exempted: and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber of it, with which Ba`sha had built; and king Asa built therewith Geva of Binyamin, and Mitzpah.

23. ఆసా చేసిన యితర కార్యములను గూర్చియు, అతని బలమంతటిని గూర్చియు, అతడు చేసిన సమస్తమునుగూర్చియు, అతడు కట్టించిన పట్టణములనుగూర్చియు యూదారాజుల వృత్తాం తముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడియున్నది. అతడు వృద్ధుడైన తరువాత అతని పాదములయందు రోగముపుట్టెను.

23. Now the rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yehudah? But in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.

24. అంతట ఆసా తన పితరులతోకూడ నిద్రించి, తన పితరుడైన దావీదు పురమందు తన పితరుల సమాధిలో పాతిపెట్టబడెను; అతనికి మారుగా యెహోషాపాతు అను అతని కుమారుడు రాజాయెను.

24. Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father; and Yehoshafat his son reigned in his place.

25. యరొబాము కుమారుడైన నాదాబు యూదారాజైన ఆసా యేలుబడిలో రెండవ సంవత్సరమందు ఇశ్రాయేలు వారిని ఏలనారంభించి ఇశ్రాయేలువారిని రెండు సంవత్సర ములు ఏలెను.

25. Nadav the son of Yarov`am began to reign over Yisra'el in the second year of Asa king of Yehudah; and he reigned over Yisra'el two years.

26. అతడు యెహోవా దృష్టికి కీడుచేసి తన తండ్రి నడిచిన మార్గమందు నడిచి, అతడు దేనిచేత ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపము చేయుటకై కారకుడాయెనో ఆ పాపమును అనుసరించి ప్రవర్తించెను.

26. He did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin with which he made Yisra'el to sin.

27. ఇశ్శాఖారు ఇంటి సంబంధుడును అహీయా కుమారుడునైన బయెషా అతనిమీద కుట్రచేసెను. నాదాబును ఇశ్రాయేలు వారందరును ఫిలిష్తీయుల సంబంధమైన గిబ్బెతోనునకు ముట్టడి వేయుచుండగా గిబ్బెతోనులో బయెషా అతని చంపెను.

27. Ba`sha the son of Achiyah, of the house of Yissakhar, conspired against him; and Ba`sha struck him at Gibbeton, which belonged to the Pelishtim; for Nadav and all Yisra'el were laying siege to Gibbeton.

28. రాజైన ఆసాయేలుబడిలో మూడవ సంవత్సరమందు బయెషా అతని చంపి అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

28. Even in the third year of Asa king of Yehudah did Ba`sha kill him, and reigned in his place.

29. తాను రాజు కాగానే ఇతడు యరొబాము సంతతి వారి నందరిని హతముచేసెను; ఎవనినైన యరొబామునకు సజీవు నిగా ఉండనియ్యక అందరిని నశింపజేసెను. తన సేవకుడైన షిలోనీయుడైన అహీయాద్వారా యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన ప్రకారముగా ఇది జరిగెను.

29. It happened that, as soon as he was king, he struck all the house of Yarov`am: he didn't leave to Yarov`am any who breathed, until he had destroyed him; according to the saying of the LORD, which he spoke by his servant Achiyah the Shiloni;

30. తాను చేసిన పాప ములచేత ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపముచేయుటకు కారకుడై యరొబాము ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు కోపము పుట్టింపగా ఈలాగున జరిగెను.

30. for the sins of Yarov`am which he sinned, and with which he made Yisra'el to sin, because of his provocation with which he provoked the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, to anger.

31. నాదాబు చేసిన ఇతర కార్యములనుగూర్చియు, అతడు చేసినదాని నంతటిని గూర్చియు ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజుల వృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడియున్నది.

31. Now the rest of the acts of Nadav, and all that he did, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yisra'el?

32. వారి దినములన్నిటను ఆసా కును ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజైన బయెషాకును యుద్ధము జరుగు చుండెను.

32. There was war between Asa and Ba`sha king of Yisra'el all their days.

33. యూదారాజైన ఆసా యేలుబడిలో మూడవ సంవ త్సరమందు అహీయా కుమారుడైన బయెషా తిర్సాయందు ఇశ్రాయేలువారినందరిని ఏలనారంభించి యిరువది నాలుగు సంవత్సరములు ఏలెను.

33. In the third year of Asa king of Yehudah began Ba`sha the son of Achiyah to reign over all Yisra'el in Tirtzah, and reigned twenty-four years.

34. ఇతడు యెహోవా దృష్టికి కీడుచేసి యరొబాము దేనిచేత ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపము చేయుటకు కారకుడాయెనో దానినంతటిని అనుసరించి ప్రవర్తించెను.

34. He did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of Yarov`am, and in his sin with which he made Yisra'el to sin.
