1. నెబాతు కుమారుడును రాజునైన యరొబాము ఏలు బడిలో పదునెనిమిదవ సంవత్సరమున అబీయాము యూదా వారిని ఏలనారంభించెను.

1. And in the eighteenth year of the reign of Jeroboam son of Nebat, Abijam son of Rehoboam reigned over Judah.

2. అతడు మూడు సంవత్సరములు యెరూషలేమునందు రాజుగా ఉండెను; అతని తల్లి పేరు మయకా; ఆమె అబీషాలోము కుమార్తె.

2. And he reigned three years over Jerusalem; and his mother's name [was] Maachah, daughter of Absalom.

3. And he walked in the sins of his father which he wrought in his presence, and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as [was] the heart of his father [David].

4. దావీదు హిత్తీయుడైన ఊరియా సంగతియందు తప్ప తన జీవిత దినములన్నియు యెహోవా దృష్టికి యథార్థముగా నడుచు కొనుచు, యెహోవా అతనికిచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞలలో దేని విషయ మందును తప్పిపోకుండెను గనుక

4. Nevertheless for David's sake the Lord gave him a remnant, that He might establish his children after him, and might establish Jerusalem.

5. దావీదు నిమిత్తము అతని తరువాత అతని కుమారుని నిలుపుటకును, యెరూష లేమును స్థిరపరచుటకును, అతని దేవుడైన యెహోవా యెరూషలేమునందు దావీదునకు దీపముగా అతని ఉండ నిచ్చెను.

5. Forasmuch as David did that which was right in the sight of the Lord; he turned not from anything that He commanded him all the days of his life.

6. రెహబాము బ్రదికిన దినములన్నియు అతనికిని యరొబామునకును యుద్ధము జరుగుచుండెను.

7. And the rest of the history of Abijam, and all that he did, behold, are not these written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.

8. అబీయాము తన పితరులతో కూడ నిద్రించగా వారు దావీదు పురమందు అతనిని సమాధిచేసిరి; అతని కుమారుడైన ఆసా అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

8. And Abijam slept with his fathers in the twenty-fourth year of Jeroboam; and he is buried with his fathers in the City of David: And Asa his son reigned in his place.

9. ఇశ్రాయేలువారికి రాజైన యరొబాము ఏలుబడియందు ఇరువదియవ సంవత్సరమున ఆసా యూదావారిని ఏల నారంభించెను.

9. In the twenty-fourth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Asa began to reign over Judah.

10. అతడు నలువదియొక సంవత్సరములుయెరూషలేమునందు ఏలుచుండెను. అతని అవ్వపేరు మయకా, యీమె అబీషాలోము కుమార్తె.

10. And he reigned forty-one years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name [was] Ana, daughter of Absalom.

11. ఆసా తన పితరుడైన దావీదువలె యెహోవా దృష్టికి యథార్థముగా నడుచుకొని

11. And Asa did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, as David his father.

12. పురుషగాములను దేశములోనుండి వెళ్ల గొట్టి తన పితరులు చేయించిన విగ్రహములన్నిటిని పడ గొట్టెను.

12. And he removed the sodomites from out of the land, and abolished all the practices which his fathers had kept up.

13. మరియు తన అవ్వ యైన మయకా అసహ్యమైన యొకదాని చేయించి, దేవతాస్తంభము ఒకటి నిలుపగా ఆసా ఆ విగ్రహమును ఛిన్నాభిన్నములుగా కొట్టించి, కిద్రోను ఓరను దాని కాల్చివేసి ఆమె పట్టపుదేవికాకుండ ఆమెను తొలగించెను.

13. And he removed Ana his mother from being queen, forasmuch as she gathered a meeting in her grove: and Asa cut down her retreats, and burnt them with fire in the Brook of Kidron.

14. ఆసా తన దినములన్నియు హృదయపూర్వకముగా యెహోవాను అనుసరించెను గాని ఉన్నత స్థలములను తీసివేయకపోయెను.

14. But he removed not the high places; nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect with the Lord all his days.

15. మరియు అతడు తన తండ్రి ప్రతిష్ఠించిన వస్తువులను తాను ప్రతిష్ఠించిన వస్తువులను, వెండియు బంగారమును ఉపకరణములను యెహోవా మందిరములోనికి తెప్పించెను.

15. And he brought in the pillars of his father, he even brought in his gold and silver pillars into the house of the Lord, and [his] vessels.

16. వారు బ్రదికిన దినములన్నిటను ఆసాకును ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజైన బయె షాకును యుద్ధము జరుగుచుండెను.

16. And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

17. ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజైన బయెషా యూదావారికి విరోధియై యుండి, యూదా రాజైన ఆసాయొద్దనుండి యెవరును రాకుండను అతని యొద్దకు ఎవరును పోకుండను, రామాపట్టణమును కట్టిం చెను.

17. And Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, so that no one should go out or come in for Asa king of Judah.

18. కాబట్టి ఆసా యెహోవా మందిరపు ఖజానాలోను రాజనగరుయొక్క ఖజానాలోను శేషించిన వెండి అంతయు బంగారమంతయు తీసి తన సేవకులచేతి కప్ప గించి, హెజ్యోనునకు పుట్టిన టబ్రిమ్మోను కుమారుడును దమస్కులో నివాసము చేయుచు అరామునకు రాజునైయున్న బెన్హదదుకు పంపి మనవి చేసినదేమనగా

18. And Asa took all the silver and the gold that was found in the treasures of the house of the Lord, and in the treasures of the king's house, and gave them into the hands of his servants; and King Asa sent them out to the son of Hadad, the son of Tabrimmon son of Hezion king of Syria, who dwelt in Damascus, saying,

19. నీ తండ్రికిని నా తండ్రికిని సంధి కలిగియున్నట్లు నీకును నాకును సంధి కలిగి యుండవలెను గనుక వెండి బంగార ములను నీకు కానుకగా పంపించుచున్నాను; నీవు వచ్చి ఇశ్రా యేలు రాజైన బయెషా నాయొద్దనుండి తిరిగిపోవునట్లు నీకును అతనికిని కలిగిన నిబంధనను తప్పింపవలెను.

19. Make a covenant between me and you, and between my father and your father: Behold, I have sent forth to you gold and silver [for] gifts: come, break your league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may go up from me.

20. కాబట్టి బెన్హదదు రాజైన ఆసా చెప్పిన మాటకు సమ్మతించి తన సైన్యముల అధిపతులను ఇశ్రాయేలు పట్టణముల మీదికి పంపి ఈయోనును దానును ఆబేల్బేత్మయకాను కిన్నెరెతును నఫ్తాలీ దేశమును పట్టుకొని కొల్లపెట్టెను.

20. And the son of Hadad hearkened to King Asa, and sent the chiefs of his forces to the cities of Israel; and they smote Ijon, Dan, and Abel of the house of Maachah, and all Chinneroth, as far as the whole land of Naphtali.

21. అది బయెషాకు వర్తమానము కాగా రామాపట్టణము కట్టుట మాని తిర్సాకు పోయి నివాసము చేసెను.

21. And it came to pass when Baasha heard it, that he left off building Ramah, and returned to Tirzah.

22. అప్పుడు రాజైన ఆసా యెవరును నిలిచిపోకుండ యూదాదేశపు వారందరు రావలెనని ప్రకటన చేయగా జనులు సమకూడి బయెషా కట్టించుచుండిన రామాపట్టణపు రాళ్లను కఱ్ఱలను ఎత్తికొని వచ్చిరి. రాజైన ఆసా వాటి చేత బెన్యామీను సంబంధమైన గెబను మిస్పాను కట్టించెను.

22. And King Asa charged all Judah without exception. And they took up the stones of Ramah and its timbers [with] which Baasha was building; and King Asa built with them upon the whole hill of Benjamin, and the watchtower.

23. ఆసా చేసిన యితర కార్యములను గూర్చియు, అతని బలమంతటిని గూర్చియు, అతడు చేసిన సమస్తమునుగూర్చియు, అతడు కట్టించిన పట్టణములనుగూర్చియు యూదారాజుల వృత్తాం తముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడియున్నది. అతడు వృద్ధుడైన తరువాత అతని పాదములయందు రోగముపుట్టెను.

23. And the rest of the history of Asa, and all his mighty deeds which he wrought, and the cities which he built, behold, are not these written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? Nevertheless in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.

24. అంతట ఆసా తన పితరులతోకూడ నిద్రించి, తన పితరుడైన దావీదు పురమందు తన పితరుల సమాధిలో పాతిపెట్టబడెను; అతనికి మారుగా యెహోషాపాతు అను అతని కుమారుడు రాజాయెను.

24. And Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the City of David his father: and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his place.

25. యరొబాము కుమారుడైన నాదాబు యూదారాజైన ఆసా యేలుబడిలో రెండవ సంవత్సరమందు ఇశ్రాయేలు వారిని ఏలనారంభించి ఇశ్రాయేలువారిని రెండు సంవత్సర ములు ఏలెను.

25. And Nadab son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and he reigned two years in Israel.

26. అతడు యెహోవా దృష్టికి కీడుచేసి తన తండ్రి నడిచిన మార్గమందు నడిచి, అతడు దేనిచేత ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపము చేయుటకై కారకుడాయెనో ఆ పాపమును అనుసరించి ప్రవర్తించెను.

26. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sins wherein he caused Israel to sin.

27. ఇశ్శాఖారు ఇంటి సంబంధుడును అహీయా కుమారుడునైన బయెషా అతనిమీద కుట్రచేసెను. నాదాబును ఇశ్రాయేలు వారందరును ఫిలిష్తీయుల సంబంధమైన గిబ్బెతోనునకు ముట్టడి వేయుచుండగా గిబ్బెతోనులో బయెషా అతని చంపెను.

27. And Baasha son of Ahijah, [who was] over the house of Belaan son of Achia, conspired against him, and killed him in Gibbethon of the Philistines; for Nebat and all Israel were besieging Gibbethon.

28. రాజైన ఆసాయేలుబడిలో మూడవ సంవత్సరమందు బయెషా అతని చంపి అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

28. And Baasha slew him in the third year of Asa king of Judah; and reigned in his place.

29. తాను రాజు కాగానే ఇతడు యరొబాము సంతతి వారి నందరిని హతముచేసెను; ఎవనినైన యరొబామునకు సజీవు నిగా ఉండనియ్యక అందరిని నశింపజేసెను. తన సేవకుడైన షిలోనీయుడైన అహీయాద్వారా యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన ప్రకారముగా ఇది జరిగెను.

29. And it came to pass when he reigned, that he killed the whole house of Jeroboam, and left none that breathed of Jeroboam, until he had destroyed him utterly, according to the word of the Lord which he spoke by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite,

30. తాను చేసిన పాప ములచేత ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపముచేయుటకు కారకుడై యరొబాము ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు కోపము పుట్టింపగా ఈలాగున జరిగెను.

30. for the sins of Jeroboam, who led Israel into sin, even by his provocation wherewith he provoked the Lord God of Israel.

31. నాదాబు చేసిన ఇతర కార్యములనుగూర్చియు, అతడు చేసినదాని నంతటిని గూర్చియు ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజుల వృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడియున్నది.

33. And in the third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha the son of Ahijah began to reign over Israel in Tirzah, twenty-four years.

34. ఇతడు యెహోవా దృష్టికి కీడుచేసి యరొబాము దేనిచేత ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపము చేయుటకు కారకుడాయెనో దానినంతటిని అనుసరించి ప్రవర్తించెను.

34. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in his sins, as he caused Israel to sin.
