1. అహాబు మరణమైన తరువాత మోయాబీయులు ఇశ్రాయేలువారిమీద తిరుగబడిరి.

1. Then Moab rebelled against Israel, after the death of Ahab.

2. అహజ్యా షోమ్రో నులోనున్న తన మేడగది కిటికీలోనుండి క్రిందపడి రోగియైమీరు ఎక్రోను దేవతయగు బయల్జెబూబు నొద్దకు పోయిఈ వ్యాధి పోగొట్టుకొని నేను స్వస్థ పడుదునో లేదో విచారించుడని దూతలను పంపగా

2. And Ahazia fell through a lattesse wyndowe of his vpper chamber that he had in Samaria, and while he was in his sickenesse, he sent messengers and saide vnto them: Go, and enquire of Beelzebub the god of Ekrom, whether I shall recouer of this my disease.

3. యెహోవా దూత తిష్బీయుడైన ఏలీయాతో ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెనునీవులేచి షోమ్రోనురాజు పంపిన దూతలను ఎదుర్కొనబోయి యిట్లనుముఇశ్రాయేలువారిలో దేవు డన్నవాడు లేడనుకొని ఎక్రోను దేవతయైన బయల్జె బూబునొద్ద మీరు విచారించబోవుచున్నారా?

3. But the angell of the Lorde spake to Elias the Thesbite: Arise, and go vp against the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say vnto them: Is there not a God in Israel, that ye go to aske counsel at Beelzebub the God of Ekrom?

4. కాగా యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగానీవెక్కిన మంచము మీదనుండి దిగిరాకుండ నీవు నిశ్చయముగా మరణమవు దువు అని ఏలీయా వారితో చెప్పి వెళ్లిపోయెను.

4. Wherefore thus saith the Lorde: Thou shalt not come downe fro the bed on which thou art gone vp, but shalt die the death. And Elias departed.

5. తరు వాత ఆ దూతలు రాజునొద్దకు వచ్చిరి. మీరెందుకు తిరిగి వచ్చితిరని అతడు వారి నడుగగా

5. And when the messengers turned backe againe vnto him, he saide vnto them: Why are ye now come againe?

6. వారుఒక మనుష్యుడు మాకు ఎదురుపడిమిమ్మును పంపిన రాజునొద్దకు తిరిగిపోయి అతనికి ఈ సంగతి తెలియ జేయుడియెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగాఇశ్రాయేలులో దేవుడన్నవాడు లేడనుకొని ఎక్రోను దేవతయగు బయల్జె బూబునొద్ద విచారణచేయుటకు నీవు దూతలను పంపు చున్నావే; నీవెక్కిన మంచముమీద నుండి దిగి రాకుండ నిశ్చయముగా నీవు మరణమవుదువు అని అతడు పలికెనని వారు చెప్పగా

6. They aunswered him: There came a man vp against vs, and sayde vnto vs: Go, & turne againe vnto the king that sent you, and saye vnto him, thus saith the Lorde: Is there not a God in Israel, that thou sendest to enquyre of Beelzebub the God of Ekrom? Therefore thou shalt not come downe from the bed on which thou art gone vp, but shalt dye the death.

7. మిమ్మును ఎదుర్కొనవచ్చి యీ మాట చెప్పినవాడు ఏలాటివాడని రాజు అడిగెను.

7. And he said vnto them: What maner of man was that which came vp and met you, and tolde you these wordes?

8. అందుకు వారు అతడు గొంగళి ధరించుకొని నడుమునకు తోలుదట్టి కట్టుకొనినవాడని ప్రత్యుత్తరమియ్యగాఆ మనుష్యుడు తిష్బీయుడైన ఏలీయా అని అతడు చెప్పెను.

8. And they aunswered him: It was an heery man, and girt with a girdell of leather about his loynes. And he saide: It is Elias the Thesbite.

9. వెంటనే రాజు ఏబదిమందికి అధిపతియైన యొకనిని వాని యేబదిమందితో కూడ ఏలీయా యొద్దకు పంపెను. అతడు కొండమీద కూర్బుని యుండగా అధిపతి యెక్కి అతని సమీపమునకు పోయిదైవజనుడా, నీవు దిగిరావలెనని రాజు ఆజ్ఞాపించుచున్నాడనెను.

9. Then the king sent vnto him a captayne ouer fiftie, with his fiftie men: which came to him (and beholde he sat on the top of an hill) And he spake vnto him, Thou man of God, the king hath saide: come downe.

10. అందుకు ఏలీయానేను దైవజనుడనైతే అగ్ని ఆకాశమునుండి దిగివచ్చి నిన్ను నీ యేబదిమందిని దహించునుగాక అని యేబదిమందికి అధిపతియైన వానితో చెప్పగా, అగ్ని ఆకాశమునుండి దిగి వానిని వాని యేబదిమందిని దహించెను.

10. Elias aunswered and saide to the captaine ouer the fiftie: If I be a man of God, let fyre come downe from heauen & consume thee & thy fiftie. And there came fyre from heauen, and consumed him and his fiftie.

11. మరల రాజు ఏబది మందిమీద అధిపతియైన మరియొకనిని వాని యేబదిమందితోకూడ పంపగా వీడువచ్చిదైవజనుడా, త్వరగా దిగి రమ్మని రాజు ఆజ్ఞాపించుచున్నాడనెను.

11. Againe also he sent vnto him an other captaine ouer fiftie, with his fiftie: And he spake and saide vnto him, O man of God, thus hath the king saide: Make haste, and come downe.

12. అందుకు ఏలీయానేను దైవజనుడనైతే అగ్ని ఆకాశము నుండి దిగివచ్చి నిన్ను నీ యేబదిమందిని దహించునుగాక అని చెప్పగా, ఆకాశమునుండి దేవుని అగ్ని దిగి వానిని వాని యేబదిమందిని దహించెను.

12. Elias aunswered & saide vnto them: If I be a man of God, let fyre come downe from heauen, and consume thee and thy fiftie. And there came fyre of God from heauen, and consumed him and his fiftie.

13. ఇంకను రాజు ఏబది మందికి అధిపతియైన యొకనిని వాని ఏబదిమందితో కూడ పంపగా ఏబదిమంది మీద అధిపతియైన ఆ మూడవవాడు వచ్చి ఏలీయా యెదుట మోకాళ్లూనిదైవజనుడా, దయ చేసి నా ప్రాణమును నీదాసులైన యీ యేబదిమంది ప్రాణములను నీ దృష్టికి ప్రియమైనవిగా ఉండనిమ్ము.

13. And the king yet againe sent the third captaine ouer fiftie, with his fiftie men: And the third captaine ouer fiftie went vp, and came and fell on his knees before Elias, and besought him, & sayde vnto him: Oh man of God, I pray thee let my lyfe and the lyfe of the fiftie thy seruauntes be precious in thy sight.

14. చిత్తగించుము; ఆకాశమునుండి అగ్ని దిగి వెనుకటి పంచ దశాధిపతులను ఇద్దరిని వానివాని యేబది మందితో కూడ దహించెను; అయితే నా ప్రాణము నీ దృష్టికి ప్రియ మైనదిగా ఉండనిమ్మని మనవి చేయగా

14. Beholde, there came fyre downe from heauen, and burnt vp the two fore captaines ouer fiftie with their fifties: therfore let my lyfe now be precious in thy sight.

15. యెహోవా దూతవానికి భయపడక వానితోకూడ దిగిపొమ్మని ఏలీ యాకు సెలవిచ్చెను గనుక అతడు లేచి వానితోకూడ రాజునొద్దకు వచ్చెను.

15. And the angell of the Lorde saide vnto Elias: Go downe with him, and be not afrayde of him. And he arose, and went downe with him vnto the king.

16. అతడు వచ్చి రాజును చూచివిచారణచేయుటకు ఇశ్రాయేలు వారిమధ్య దేవుడన్న వాడు లేడనుకొని నీవు ఎక్రోను దేవతయగు బయల్జెబూబునొద్ద విచారణచేయుటకై దూతలను పంపితివే; నీవెక్కిన మంచముమీదనుండి దిగి రాకుండ నిశ్చయముగా నీవు మరణమవుదువు అని చెప్పెను.

16. And he saide vnto him, thus saith the Lorde: Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers to aske counsell at Beelzebub the god of Ekrom, as though there had ben no God in Israel, whose word thou mightest seeke after: therfore thou shalt not come downe of the bed on which thou art gone vp, but shalt dye the death.

17. ఏలీయా ద్వారా యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన మాటప్రకారము అతడు చనిపోయెను. అతనికి కుమారుడు లేనందున యూదా రాజైన యెహోషాపాతు కుమారుడైన యెహోరాము ఏలుబడిలో రెండవ సంవత్సరమందు యెహోరాము అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

17. And so he dyed according to the worde of the Lorde which Elias had spoken: And Iehoram [his brother] began to raigne in his steade, in the second yere of Iehoram the sonne of Iehosaphat king of Iuda, because he had no sonne.

18. అహజ్యా చేసిన యితర కార్యములనుగూర్చి ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజుల వృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడియున్నది.

18. The rest of the wordes that concerne Ahazia, what thinges he dyd, are they not written in the booke of the cronicles of the kinges of Israel?
