1. యూదారాజైన అహజ్యా కుమారుడైన యోవాషు ఏలుబడిలో ఇరువది మూడవ సంవత్సరమందు యెహూ కుమారుడైన యెహోయాహాజు షోమ్రోనులో ఇశ్రాయేలును ఏలనారంభించి పదునైదు సంవత్సరములు ఏలెను.

1. In ye XXIII. yeare of Ioas the sonne of Ochosias kynge of Iuda, was Ioahas the sonne of Iehu kynge ouer Israel at Samaria, seuentene yeare:

2. ఇతడు ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపముచేయుటకు కారకుడగు నెబాతు కుమారుడైన యరొబాము పాపములను విడువక అనుసరించుచు యెహోవా దృష్టికి చెడుతనము జరిగించెను.

2. & dyd yt which was euell in the sighte of the LORDE, and walked after the sinnes of Ieroboam ye sonne of Nebat (which caused Israel to synne) and lefte not of from them.

3. కాబట్టి యెహోవా కోపము ఇశ్రాయేలువారిమీద రగులుకొనగా ఆయన సిరియా రాజైన హజాయేలు దినములన్నిటను హజాయేలు కుమారు డైన బెన్హదదు దినములన్నిటను ఇశ్రాయేలువారిని వారి కప్పగించెను.

3. And ye wrath of the LORDE waxed whote vpon Israel, & he delyuered them ouer vnder the hande of Hasael kynge of Syria, and vnder the hande of Benadad the sonne of Hasael, as longe as they lyued.

4. అయితే యెహోయాహాజు యెహోవాను వేడుకొనగా యెహోవా సిరియా రాజుచేత బాధనొందిన ఇశ్రాయేలువారిని కనికరించి అతని మనవి నంగీకరించెను.

4. And Ioahas besoughte the face of the LORDE. And the LORDE herde him, for he consydered the myserie of Israel, how the kynge of Syria oppressed them.

5. కావున యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలువారికి ఒక రక్షకుని అను గ్రహింపగా అతనిచేత ఇశ్రాయేలువారు సిరియనుల వశములోనుండి తప్పించుకొని మునుపటివలె స్వస్థాన ములలో కాపురముండిరి.

5. And ye LORDE gaue Israel a sauioure, which broughte them out of the power of the Syrians, so yt the children of Israel dwelt in their tentes, like as afore tyme.

6. అయినను ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపము చేయుటకు కారకుడగు యరొబాము కుటుంబికులు చేసిన పాపములను వారు విడువక వాటిననుసరించుచు వచ్చిరి. మరియు ఆ దేవతాస్తంభమును షోమ్రోనులో నిలిచియుండెను.

6. Yet lefte they not from the synnes of the house of Ieroboam, which caused Israel to synne, but walked in them. The groue at Samaria stode styll also.

7. రౌతులలో ఏబదిమందియు రథములలో పదియు కాల్బలములో పదివేలమందియు మాత్రమే యెహోయాహాజు దగ్గర ఉండిరి; మిగిలినవారిని సిరియా రాజు దుళ్లకొట్టిన ధూళివలె నాశనముచేసి యుండెను.

7. For of the people of Ioahas there were no mo lefte, but fyftye horsmen, ten charettes, and ten thousande fote men: for the kynge of Syria had destroyed them, and made them as the dust in the barne.

8. యెహోయాహాజు చేసిన యితర కార్యములనుగూర్చియు, అతడు చేసినదాని నంతటినిగూర్చియు, అతని పరాక్రమ మునుగూర్చియు ఇశ్రాయేలురాజుల వృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథ మందు వ్రాయబడియున్నది.

8. What more there is to saye of Ioahas, and all that he dyd, and his power, beholde, it is wrytten in the Cronicles of the kynges of Israel.

9. యెహోయాహాజు తన పితరులతోకూడ నిద్రించి షోమ్రోనులో పాతిపెట్టబడెను; అతని కుమారుడైన యెహోయాషు అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

9. And Ioahas fell on slepe with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria, & Ioas his sonne was kinge in his steade.

10. యూదారాజైన యోవాషు ఏలుబడిలో ముప్పది యేడవ సంవత్సరమందు యెహోయాహాజు కుమారుడైన యెహోయాషు షోమ్రోనులో ఇశ్రాయేలును ఏలనారంభించి పదునారు సంవత్సరములు ఏలెను.

10. In the seuen and thirtieth yeare of Ioas kynge of Iuda, was Ioas the sonne of Ioahas kynge ouer Israel at Samaria sixtene yeare.

11. ఇతడును ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపము చేయుటకు కారకుడగు నెబాతు కుమారుడైన యరొబాము చేసిన పాపములను విడువక వాటి ననుసరించుచు యెహోవా దృష్టికి చెడుతనము జరిగించెను.

11. And he dyd that which was euell in the sighte of the LORDE, and departed not from all the synnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel for to synne, but walked in them.

12. యెహోయాషు చేసిన యితర కార్యములను గూర్చియు, అతడు చేసినదాని అంతటినిగూర్చియు, యూదారాజైన అమజ్యాతో యుద్ధము చేయునప్పుడు అతడు కనుపరచిన పరాక్రమమునుగూర్చియు ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజుల వృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడి యున్నది.

12. What more there is to saye of Ioas, and what he dyd, & his power, how he foughte with Amasias kynge of Iuda, beholde, it is wrytten in the Cronicles of the kynges of Israel.

13. యెహోయాషు తన పితరులతో కూడ నిద్రిం చిన తరువాత యరొబాము అతని సింహాసనముమీద ఆసీనుడాయెను; యెహోయాషు షోమ్రోనులో ఇశ్రా యేలురాజుల సమాధియందు పాతిపెట్టబడెను.

13. And Ioas fell on slepe with his fathers, and Ieroboam sat vpo his seate. And Ioas was buried in Samaria wt the kynges of Israel.

14. అంతట ఎలీషా మరణకరమైన రోగముచేత పీడితుడై యుండగా ఇశ్రాయేలురాజైన యెహోయాషు అతని యొద్దకు వచ్చి అతని చూచి కన్నీరు విడుచుచునా తండ్రీ నా తండ్రీ, ఇశ్రాయేలువారికి రథమును రౌతులును నీవే అని యేడ్చెను.

14. As for Eliseus, he fell in to a sicknes, wherof he dyed. And Ioas the kynge of Israel came downe vnto him, and wepte for him, and saide: My father, my father, the charetman of Israel, and his horsmen.

15. అందుకు ఎలీషానీవు వింటిని బాణములను తీసికొమ్మని అతనితో చెప్పగా అతడు వింటిని బాణములను తీసికొనెను.

15. Eliseus sayde vnto him: Take the bowe and the arowes

16. నీ చెయ్యి వింటిమీద ఉంచు మని అతడు ఇశ్రాయేలురాజుతో చెప్పగా అతడు తన చెయ్యి వింటిమీద ఉంచినప్పుడు ఎలీషా తన చేతులను రాజు చేతులమీద వేసి

16. And whan he had taken the bowe and the arowes, he sayde vnto the kynge of Israel: Bende the bowe with thine hande. And he bent it with his hade. And Eliseus layed his hande vpon the kynges hande,

17. తూర్పువైపున నున్న కిటికీని విప్పుమని చెప్పగా అతడు విప్పెను. అప్పుడు ఎలీషా బాణము వేయుమని చెప్పగా అతడు బాణము వేసెను అతడుఇది యెహోవా రక్షణ బాణము, సిరియనుల చేతిలోనుండి మిమ్మును రక్షించు బాణము; సిరియనులు నాశనమగునట్లు నీవు అఫెకులో వారిని హతముచేయుదువని చెప్పి,

17. and sayde: Open that wyndowe towarde the East. And he opened it. And Eliseus saide: Shute. And he shot. He sayde: one arowe of the saluacion of the LORDE, one arowe of saluacio agaynst the Syrians: and thou shalt smyte the Syrians at Aphek, tyll they be brought to naughte.

18. బాణములను పట్టుకొమ్మనగా అతడు పట్టు కొనెను. అంతట అతడు ఇశ్రాయేలురాజుతోనేలను కొట్టుమనినప్పుడు అతడు ముమ్మారు కొట్టి మానెను.

18. And he sayde: Take ye arowes. And wha he had taken them, he sayde vnto the kynge of Israel: Smyte the earth. And he smote thre tymes and stode still.

19. అందు నిమిత్తము దైవజనుడు అతనిమీద కోపగించినీవు అయిదు మారులైన ఆరుమారులైన కొట్టిన యెడల సిరియనులు నాశనమగువరకు నీవు వారిని హతము చేసియుందువు; అయితే ఇప్పుడు ముమ్మారు మాత్రమే సిరియనులను ఓడించెదవని చెప్పెను.

19. Then was the ma of God wroth at him, and sayde: Yf thou haddest smytten fyue or sixe times, thou shuldest haue smytten ye Syrians, tyll thou haddest vtterly brought them to naughte. But now shalt thou smyte them thre tymes.

20. తరువాత ఎలీషా మృతిపొందగా వారు అతనిని సమా ధిలో ఉంచిరి. ఒక సంవత్సరము గడచిన తరువాత మోయాబీయుల సైన్యము దేశముమీదికి వచ్చినప్పుడు

20. Whan Eliseus was deed and buried, the men of warre of the Moabites fell in to the londe the same yeare.

21. కొందరు ఒక శవమును పాతిపెట్టుచు సైన్యమునకు భయపడి ఆ శవమును ఎలీషాయొక్క సమాధిలో ఉంచగా దింపిన ఆ శవము ఎలీషా శల్యములకు తగిలినప్పుడు అది తిరిగి బ్రతికి కాళ్లు మోపి నిలిచెను.

21. And it fortuned yt they buryed a certaine man. But wha they sawe the men of warre, they cast the man in to Eliseus graue. And whan he was therin, and touched Eliseus bones, he reuyued, and stode vpon his fete.

22. యెహోయాహాజు దినములన్నియు సిరియారాజైన హజాయేలు ఇశ్రాయేలువారిని బాధపెట్టెను.

22. So Hasael the kynge of Syria oppressed Israel, as longe as Ioahas lyued.

23. గాని యెహోవా వారిమీద జాలిపడి వారియందు దయయుంచి, అబ్రాహాము ఇస్సాకు యాకోబులతో తాను చేసియున్ననిబంధననుబట్టి వారియందు లక్ష్యము నిలిపి, వారిని నాశము చేయనొల్లక యిప్పటికిని తన సముఖములోనుండి వారిని వెళ్లగొట్టక యుండెను.

23. But the LORDE was gracious vnto them, and had mercy vpon them, and turned him to them for his couenauntes sake, with Abraham, Isaac and Iacob, and wolde not destroye the nether dyd he cast them out from his presence vnto this houre.

24. సిరియారాజైన హజాయేలు మరణము కాగా అతని కుమారుడైన బెన్హదదు అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

24. And Hasael the kinge of Syria dyed, and Benadad his sonne was kynge in his steade.

25. అంతట యెహోయాహాజు కుమారుడైన యెహోయాషు హజాయేలు కుమారుడైన బెన్హదదు తన తండ్రియైన యెహోయాహాజు చేతిలోనుండి యుద్ధమందు పట్టుకొనిన పట్టణములను మరల తీసి కొనెను. యెహోయాషు అతని ముమ్మారు జయించి ఇశ్రాయేలు పట్టణములను మరల వశపరచుకొనెను.

25. But Ioas turned backe, and toke out of the hande of Benadad the sonne of Hasael the cyties which he had take in battaill out of the hande of his father Ioahas: Thre tymes dyd Ioas smyte him, and broughte the cities of Israel agayne.
