1. ఇశ్రాయేలురాజును ఏలా కుమారుడునైన హోషేయ యేలుబడిలో మూడవ సంవత్సరమందు యూదారాజును ఆహాజు కుమారుడునైన హిజ్కియా యేలనారంభించెను.

1. Now in the third yeere of Hoshea, sonne of Elah King of Israel, Hezekiah the sonne of Ahaz king of Iudah began to reigne.

2. అతడు ఏలనారంభించినప్పుడు ఇరువది యయిదేండ్లవాడై యెరూషలేమునందు ఇరువది తొమ్మిది సంవత్సరములు ఏలెను. అతని తల్లి జెకర్యా కుమార్తె; ఆమెకు అబీ అని పేరు.

2. He was fiue and twentie yeere olde when he began to reigne, and reigned nine and twenty yeere in Ierusalem. His mothers name also was Abi the daughter of Zachariah,

3. తన పితరుడైన దావీదు చేసినట్లు అతడు యెహోవా దృష్టికి పూర్ణముగా నీతిననుసరించెను.

3. And he did vprightly in the sight of the Lord, according to all that Dauid his father had done.

4. ఉన్నత స్థలములను కొట్టివేసి విగ్రహములను పగులగొట్టి దేవతా స్తంభ ములను పడగొట్టి మోషేచేసిన యిత్తడి సర్పమును ఛిన్నాభిన్నములుగా చేసెను. దానికి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు నెహుష్టానను పేరుపెట్టి దానికి ధూపము వేయుచు వచ్చియుండిరి

4. He tooke away the hie places, and brake the images, and cut downe the groues, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for vnto those dayes the children of Israel did burne incense to it, and hee called it Nehushtan.

5. అతడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా యందు విశ్వాసముంచినవాడు; అతని తరువాత వచ్చిన యూదా రాజులలోను అతని పూర్వికులైన రాజులలోను అతనితో సమమైనవాడు ఒకడునులేడు.

5. He trusted in the Lord God of Israel: so that after him was none like him among all the Kings of Iudah, neither were there any such before him.

6. అతడు యెహోవాతో హత్తుకొని, ఆయనను వెంబడించుటలో వెనుక తీయక ఆయన మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన ఆజ్ఞలన్నిటిని గైకొనుచుండెను.

6. For he claue to the Lord, and departed not from him, but kept his commandements, which the Lord had commanded Moses.

7. కావున యెహోవా అతనికి తోడుగా ఉండెను; తాను వెళ్లిన చోట నెల్ల అతడు జయము పొందెను. అతడు అష్షూరు రాజునకు సేవచేయకుండ అతనిమీద తిరుగబడెను.

7. So the Lord was with him, and he prospered in all thinges, which he tooke in hande: also he rebelled against the King of Asshur, and serued him not.

8. మరియు గాజా పట్టణమువరకు దాని సరిహద్దులవరకు కాపరుల గుడిసెలయందేమి, ప్రాకారములుగల పట్టణములయందేమి, అంతటను అతడు ఫిలిష్తీయులను ఓడించెను.

8. He smote the Philistims vnto Azzah, and the coastes thereof, from the watch towre vnto the defensed citie.

9. రాజైన హిజ్కియా యేలుబడిలో నాలుగవ సంవత్సర మందు, ఇశ్రాయేలురాజైన ఏలా కుమారు డగు హోషేయ యేలుబడిలో ఏడవ సంవత్సరమందు, అష్షూరురాజైన షల్మ నేసెరు షోమ్రోను పట్ణణముమీదికి వచ్చి ముట్టడివేసెను.

9. And in the fourth yere of King Hezekiah, (which was the seuenth yeere of Hoshea sonne of Elah King of Israel) Shalmaneser King of Asshur came vp against Samaria, and besieged it.

10. మూడు సంవత్సరములు పూర్తియైన తరువాత అష్షూరీయులు దాని పట్టుకొనిరి. హిజ్కియా యేలుబడిలో ఆరవ సంవత్సరమందు, ఇశ్రాయేలురాజైన హోషేయ యేలు బడిలో తొమ్మిదవ సంవత్సరమందు షోమ్రోను పట్టణము పట్టబడెను.

10. And after three yeeres they tooke it, euen in the sixt yeere of Hezekiah: that is, the ninth yeere of Hoshea King of Israel was Samaria taken.

11. తమ దేవుడైన యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన మాట విననివారై ఆయన నిబంధనకును ఆయన సేవకుడైన మోషే ఆజ్ఞాపించిన దానంతటికిని లోబడక అతిక్రమించి యుండిరి.

11. Then the King of Asshur did carry away Israel vnto Asshur, and put them in Halah and in Habor, by the riuer of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes,

12. అష్షూరు రాజు ఇశ్రాయేలు వారిని అష్షూరు దేశములోనికి తీసికొని పోయి గోజాను నది దగ్గరనున్న హాలహు హాబోరు అను పట్టణములలోను మాదీయుల పట్టణములలోను వారిని ఉంచెను.

12. Because they woulde not obey the voyce of the Lord their God, but transgressed his couenant: that is, all that Moses the seruant of the Lord had commanded, and would neyther obey nor doe them.

13. రాజైన హిజ్కియా యేలుబడిలో పదునాలుగవ సంవ త్సరమందు అష్షూరురాజైన సన్హెరీబు యూదా దేశ మందున్న ప్రాకారములుగల పట్టణములన్నిటి మీదికి వచ్చి వాటిని పట్టుకొనగా

13. Moreouer, in the fourteenth yeere of King Hezekiah, Saneherib King of Asshur came vp against all the strong cities of Iudah, and tooke them.

14. యూదారాజైన హిజ్కియా లాకీషు పట్టణమందున్న అష్షూరు రాజునొద్దకు దూతలను పంపినావలన తప్పు వచ్చినది;నాయొద్దనుండి తిరిగి నీవు వెళ్లిపోయినయెడల నామీద నీవు మోపినదానిని నేను భరించుదునని వర్తమానముచేయగా, అష్షూరురాజు యూదా రాజైన హిజ్కియాకు ఆరు వందల మణుగుల వెండియు అరువది మణుగుల బంగారమును జుల్మానాగా నియ మించెను.

14. Then Hezekiah King of Iudah sent vnto the King of Asshur to Lachish, saying, I haue offended: depart from me, and what thou layest vpon me, I wil beare it. And the King of Asshur appoynted vnto Hezekiah King of Iudah three hudreth talents of siluer, and thirty talets of golde.

15. కావున హిజ్కియా యెహోవా మందిర మందును రాజనగరునందున్న పదార్థములలో కనబడిన వెండియంతయు అతనికిచ్చెను.

15. Therefore Hezekiah gaue all the siluer that was found in the house of the Lord, and in the treasures of the Kings house.

16. మరియు ఆ కాలమందు హిజ్కియా దేవాలయపు తలుపులకున్న బంగారమును తాను కట్టించిన స్తంభములకున్న బంగారమును తీయించి అష్షూరు రాజునకిచ్చెను.

16. At the same season did Hezekiah pul off the plates of the doores of the Temple of the Lord, and the pillars (which the sayd Hezekiah King of Iudah had couered ouer) and gaue them to the King of Asshur.

17. అంతట అష్షూరురాజు తర్తానును రబ్సారీసును రబ్షా కేనును లాకీషు పట్టణమునుండి యెరూష లేమునందున్న రాజైన హిజ్కియామీదికి బహు గొప్ప సమూహముతో పంపెను. వారు యెరూషలేముమీదికి వచ్చి చాకిరేవు మార్గమందున్న మెరకకొలను కాలువ యొద్ద ప్రవేశించి నిలిచి రాజును పిలువనంపగా

17. And the King of Asshur sent Tartan, and Rab-saris, and Rabshakeh from Lachish to King Hezekiah with a great hoste against Ierusalem. And they went vp, and came to Ierusalem, and when they were come vp, they stood by the conduite of the vpper poole, which is by the path of the fullers fielde,

18. హిల్కీయా కుమారుడును గృహనిర్వాహకుడునైన ఎల్యా కీమును, శాస్త్రియగు షెబ్నాయును, రాజ్యపుదస్తావేజుల మీద నున్న ఆసాపు కుమారుడైన యోవాహును వారి యొద్దకు పోయిరి.

18. And called to the King. Then came out to them Eliakim the sonne of Hilkiah, which was steward of the house, and Shebnah the chanceller, and Ioah the sonne of Asaph the recorder.

19. అప్పుడు రబ్షాకే వారితో ఇట్లనెనుఈ మాట హిజ్కియాతో తెలియజెప్పుడుమహా రాజైన అష్షూరురాజు సెలవిచ్చినదేమనగానీవు ఈలాగు చెప్పవలెను. నీవు నమ్ముకొను ఈ ఆశ్రయాస్పదము ఏపాటి ప్రయోజనకారి?

19. And Rabshakeh sayde vnto them, Tell ye Hezekiah, I pray you, Thus saith the great King, euen the great King of Asshur, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?

20. యుద్ధ విషయములో నీ యోచనయు నీ బలమును వట్టి మాటలే. ఎవని నమ్ముకొని నామీద తిరుగుబాటు చేయుచున్నావు?

20. Thou thinkest, Surely I haue eloquence, but counsell and strength are for the warre. On whom then doest thou trust, that thou rebellest against me?

21. నలిగిన రెల్లువంటి యీ ఐగుప్తును నీవు నమ్ముకొనుచున్నావు గదా ఒకడు దానిమీద ఆనుకొన్నయెడల అది వానిచేతికి గుచ్చు కొని దూసి పోవును. ఐగుప్తురాజైన ఫరో అతని నమ్ముకొను వారి కందరికిని అట్టివాడే.

21. Lo, thou trustest now in this broken staffe of reede, to wit, on Egypt, on which if a man leane, it will goe into his hand, and pearce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt vnto all that trust on him.

22. మా దేవుడైన యెహోవాను మేము నమ్ముకొనుచున్నామని మీరు నాతో చెప్పెద రేమో సరే. - యెరూషలేమందున్న యీ బలిపీఠమునొద్ద మాత్రమే మీరు నమస్కారము చేయవలెనని యూదా వారికిని యెరూషలేమువారికిని ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చి హిజ్కియా యెవని ఉన్నతస్థలములను బలిపీఠములను పడగొట్టెనో ఆయనేగదా యెహోవా?

22. But if ye say vnto me, We trust in the Lord our God, is not that he whose hie places, and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and hath sayd to Iudah and Ierusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar in Ierusalem?

23. కావున చిత్తగించి అష్షూరు రాజైన నా యేలినవానితో పందెము వేయుము; రెండువేల గుఱ్ఱములమీద రౌతులను ఎక్కించుటకు నీకు శక్తియున్న యెడల నేను వాటిని నీకిచ్చెదను.

23. Now therefore giue hostages to my lord the King of Asshur, and I will giue thee two thousand horses, if thou be able to set riders vpon them.

24. అట్లయితే నా యజ మానుని సేవకులలో అత్యల్పుడైన అధిపతియగు ఒకనిని నీవేలాగు ఎదిరింతువు? రథములను రౌతులను పంపునని ఐగుప్తురాజును నీవు ఆశ్రయించుకొంటివే.

24. For how canst thou despise any captaine of the least of my masters seruants, and put thy trust on Egypt for charets and horsemen?

25. యెహోవా సెలవు నొందకయే ఈ దేశమును పాడుచేయుటకు నేను వచ్చితినా? లేదు; ఆ దేశముమీదికి పోయి దాని పాడు చేయుమని యెహోవా నాకు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను అనెను.

25. Am I now come vp without the Lord to this place, to destroy it? the Lord sayd to me, Goe vp against this land, and destroy it.

26. హిల్కీయా కుమారుడైన ఎల్యాకీము షెబ్నాయు యోవాహు అనువారుచిత్తగించుము, నీ దాసులమైన మాకు సిరియా భాష తెలియును గనుక దానితో మాట లాడుము; ప్రాకారముమీద నున్న ప్రజల వినికిడిలో యూదుల భాషతో మాటలాడకుమని రబ్షాకేతో అనగా

26. Then Eliakim the sonne of Hilkiah, and Shebnah, and Ioah said vnto Rabshakeh, Speake I pray thee, to thy seruants in the Aramites language, for we vnderstand it, and talke not with vs in the Iewes tongue, in the audience of the people that are on the wall.

27. రబ్షాకే ఈ మాటలు చెప్పుటకై నా యజమానుడు నీ యజమానుని యొద్దకును నీయొద్దకును నన్ను పంపెనా? తమమలమును తినునట్లును తమ మూత్రమును త్రాగునట్లును మీతోకూడ ప్రాకారముమీద కూర్చున్నవారియొద్దకును నన్ను పంపెనుగదా అని చెప్పి

27. But Rabshakeh saide vnto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to speake these words, and not to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eate their owne doung, and drinke their owne pisse with you?

28. గొప్పశబ్దముతో యూదాభాషతో ఇట్లనెనుమహారాజైన అష్షూరురాజు సెలవిచ్చిన మాటలు వినుడి. రాజు సెలవిచ్చినదేమనగా

28. So Rabshakeh stoode and cryed with a loude voyce in the Iewes language, and spake, saying, Heare the wordes of the great King, of the king of Asshur.

29. హిజ్కియాచేత మోసపోకుడి; నా చేతిలోనుండి మిమ్మును విడిపింప శక్తి వానికి చాలదు.

29. Thus sayth the King, Let not Hezekiah deceiue you: for he shall not be able to deliuer you out of mine hand.

30. యెహోవాను బట్టి మిమ్మును నమ్మించియెహోవా మనలను విడిపించును, ఈ పట్టణము అష్షూరురాజు చేతిలో చిక్కకపోవునని హిజ్కియా చెప్పుచున్నాడే.

30. Neither let Hezekiah make you to trust in the Lord, saying, The Lord will surely deliuer vs, and this citie shall not be giuen ouer into the hand of the king of Asshur.

31. హిజ్కియా చెప్పిన మాట మీరంగీకరింపవద్దు; అష్షూరురాజు సెలవిచ్చినదేమ నగానాతో సంధిచేసికొని నాయొద్దకు మీరు బయటికి వచ్చినయెడల మీలో ప్రతిమనిషి తన ద్రాక్షచెట్టుఫలమును తన అంజూరపుచెట్టు ఫలమును తినుచు తన బావి నీళ్లు త్రాగుచు ఉండును.

31. Hearken not vnto Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Asshur, Make appointment with me, and come out to me, that euery man may eate of his owne vine, and euery man of his owne figge tree, and drinke euery man of the water of his owne well,

32. అటుపిమ్మట మీరుచావక బ్రదుకునట్లుగా మేము వచ్చి మీ దేశమువంటి దేశమునకు, అనగా గోధుమలును ద్రాక్షారసమును గల దేశమునకును, ఆహారమును ద్రాక్షచెట్లును గల దేశమున కును, ఒలీవతైలమును తేనెయునుగల దేశమునకును మిమ్మును తీసికొని పోవుదును, అచ్చట మీరు సుఖముగా నుందురు. కావునయెహోవా మిమ్మును విడిపించునని చెప్పి హిజ్కియా మీకు బోధించు మాటలను వినవద్దు.

32. Till I come, and bring you to a land like your owne land, euen a land of wheate and wine, a land of bread and vineyardes, a lande of oliues oyle, and hony, that ye may liue and not die: and obey not Hezekiah, for he deceiueth you, saying, The Lord will deliuer vs.

33. ఆయా జనముల దేవతలలో ఏదైనను తన దేశమును అష్షూరురాజు చేతిలోనుండి విడిపించెనా?

33. Hath any of the gods of the nations deliuered his lande out of the hand of the King of Asshur?

34. హమాతు దేవతలు ఏమా యెను? అర్పాదు దేవతలు ఏమాయెను? సెపర్వయీము దేవతలు ఏమాయెను? హేన ఇవ్వా అనువారి దేవతలు ఏమాయెను? (షోమ్రోను దేశపు) దేవత మా చేతిలోనుండి షోమ్రోనును విడిపించెనా?

34. Where is the god of Hamah, and of Arpad? where is the god of Sepharuaim, Hena and Iuah? how haue they deliuered Samaria out of mine hand?

35. యెహోవా మా చేతిలోనుండి యెరూషలేమును విడిపించుననుటకు ఆయా దేశముల దేవతలలో ఏదైనను తన దేశమును మా చేతిలోనుండి విడిపించినది కలదా అని చెప్పెను.

35. Who are they among all the gods of the nations, that haue deliuered their lande out of mine hand, that the Lord should deliuer Ierusalem out of mine hand?

36. అయితే అతనికి ప్రత్యుత్తరమియ్యవద్దని రాజు సెలవిచ్చి యుండుటచేత జనులు ఎంతమాత్రమును ప్రత్యుత్తరమియ్యక ఊరకుండిరి.

36. But the people helde their peace, and answered not him a worde: for the Kings commandement was, saying, Answere ye him not.

37. గృహ నిర్వాహకుడును హిల్కీయా కుమారుడు నైన ఎల్యాకీ మును, శాస్త్రియగు షెబ్నాయును, రాజ్యపు దస్తావేజులమీదనున్న ఆసాపు కుమారుడైన యోవాహును, బట్టలు చింపుకొని హిజ్కియాయొద్దకు వచ్చి, రబ్షాకే పలికిన మాటలన్నియు తెలియజెప్పిరి.

37. Then Eliakim, the sonne of Hilkiah which was steward of the house, and Shebnah the chanceller, and Ioah the sonne of Asaph the recorder came to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and tolde him the wordes of Rabshakeh.
