1. అతని యేలుబడిలో తొమ్మిదవ సంవత్సరమందు పదియవ మాసము పదియవ దినమందు బబులోను రాజైన నెబుకద్నెజరును అతని సైన్యమంతయును యెరూషలేము మీదికి వచ్చి దానికెదురుగా దిగి దాని చుట్టును ముట్టడి దిబ్బలు కట్టిరి.

1. And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and encamped against it; and they built forts against it round about.

2. ఈ ప్రకారము రాజైన సిద్కియా యేలు బడియందు పదకొండవ సంవత్సరము వరకు పట్టణము ముట్టడివేయబడియుండగా

2. So the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.

3. నాల్గవ నెల తొమ్మిదవ దిన మందు పట్టణములో క్షామము అఘోరమాయెను, దేశపు జనులకు ఆహారము లేకపోయెను.

3. On the ninth day of the {cf15i fourth} month the famine was sore in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.

4. కల్దీయులు పట్టణ ప్రాకారమును పడగొట్టగా సైనికులు రాత్రియందు రాజు తోటదగ్గర రెండు గోడల మధ్యనున్న ద్వారపు మార్గమున పారిపోయిరి.

4. Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war {cf15i fled} by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the kings garden: (now the Chaldeans were against the city round about:) and {cf15i the king} went by the way of the Arabah.

5. అయితే కల్దీయులు పట్టణముచుట్టు ఉండగా రాజు మైదానమునకు పోవుమార్గమున వెళ్లి పోయెను; కల్దీయుల సైన్యము రాజును తరిమి, అతని సైన్యము అతనికి దూరముగా చెదరిపోయినందున యెరికో మైదానమందు అతని పట్టుకొనిరి.

5. But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho: and all his army was scattered from him.

6. వారు రాజును పట్టుకొని రిబ్లా పట్టణమందున్న బబులోను రాజునొద్దకు తీసి కొనిపోయినప్పుడు రాజు అతనికి శిక్ష విధించెను.

6. Then they took the king, and carried him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they gave judgment upon him.

7. సిద్కియా చూచుచుండగా వారు అతని కుమారులను చంపించి సిద్కియా కన్నులు ఊడదీయించి యిత్తడి సంకెళ్లతో అతని బంధించి బబులోను పట్టణమునకు తీసికొనిపోయిరి.

7. And they slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him in fetters, and carried him to Babylon.

8. మరియు బబులోనురాజైన నెబుకద్నెజరు ఏలుబడిలో పందొమ్మిదవ సంవత్సరమందు అయిదవ నెల యేడవ దినమున రాజదేహసంరక్షకులకు అధిపతియు బబులోనురాజు సేవకుడునగు నెబూజరదాను యెరూషలేమునకు వచ్చి

8. Now in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem:

9. యెహోవా మందిరమును రాజనగరును యెరూషలేము నందున్న యిండ్లన్నిటిని గొప్పవారి యిండ్లన్నిటిని అగ్నిచేత కాల్పించెను.

9. And he burnt the house of the LORD, and the kings house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great house, burnt he with fire.

10. మరియు రాజదేహసంరక్షకుల అధి పతియొద్దనున్న కల్దీయుల సైనికులందరును యెరూషలేము చుట్టునున్న ప్రాకారములను పడగొట్టిరి.

10. And all the army of the Chaldeans, that were {cf15i with} the captain of the guard, brake down the walls of Jerusalem round about.

11. పట్టణమందు మిగిలి యుండిన వారిని, బబులోనురాజు పక్షము చేరిన వారిని, సామాన్యజనులలో శేషించినవారిని రాజదేహ సంరక్షకుల అధిపతియైన నెబూజరదాను చెరగొని పోయెను గాని

11. And the residue of the people that were left in the city, and those that fell away, that fell to the king of Babylon, and the residue of the multitude, did Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carry away captive.

12. వ్యవసాయదారులును ద్రాక్షతోట వారును ఉండవలెనని దేశపు బీదజనములో కొందరిని ఉండనిచ్చెను.

12. But the captain of the guard left of the poorest of the land to be vinedressers and husbandmen.

13. మరియు యెహోవా మందిరమందున్న యిత్తిడి స్తంభములను మట్లను యెహోవా మందిరమందున్న యిత్తడి సముద్రమును కల్దీయులు తునకలుగా కొట్టి, ఆ యిత్తడిని బబులోను పట్టణమునకు ఎత్తికొనిపోయిరి.

13. And the pillars of brass that were in the house of the LORD, and the bases and the brasen sea that were in the house of the LORD, did the Chaldeans break in pieces, and carried the brass of them to Babylon.

14. సేవకొరకై యుంచబడిన పాత్రలను చేటలను ముండ్లను ధూపార్తులను ఇత్తడి ఉపకరణములన్నిటిని వారు తీసికొని పోయిరి.

14. And the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.

15. అగ్నిపాత్రలు గిన్నెలు మొదలైన వెండి వస్తువులను బంగారు వస్తువులను రాజదేహసంరక్షకుల అధిపతి తీసికొనిపోయెను.

15. And the firepans, and the basons; that which was of gold, in gold; and that which was of silver, in silver, the captain of the guard took away.

16. మరియు అతడు యెహోవా మందిరమునకు సొలొమోను చేయించిన రెండు స్తంభములను సముద్రమును మట్లను తీసికొనిపోయెను. ఈ యిత్తడి వస్తువులయెత్తు లెక్కకు మించియుండెను.

16. The two pillars, the one sea, and the bases, which Solomon had made for the house of the LORD; the brass of all these vessels was without weight.

17. ఒక్కొక స్తంభపు నిడివి పదునెనిమిది మూరలు. దాని పైపీట యిత్తడిది, పైపీట నిడివి మూడు మూరలు. మరియు ఆ పైపీటచుట్టు ఉన్న అల్లికలును దానిమ్మపండ్లును ఇత్తడివి; రెండవ స్తంభమును వీటివలె అల్లికపని కలిగియుండెను.

17. The height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits, and a chapiter of brass was upon it: and the height of the chapiter was three cubits; with network and pomegranates upon the chapiter round about, all of brass: and like unto these had the second pillar with network.

18. రాజదేహసంరక్షకుల అధిపతి ప్రధానయాజకుడైన శెరా యాను రెండవ యాజకుడైన జెఫన్యాను ముగ్గురు ద్వార పాలకులను పట్టుకొనెను.

18. And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:

19. మరియు ఆయుధస్థులమీద నియమింపబడియున్న అధిపతిని, పట్టణములోనుండి తీసికొని, రాజుసముఖమును కనిపెట్టుకొని యుండువారిలో పట్టణమందు దొరకిన అయిదుగురిని, దేశపుజనులను సంఖ్య చేయువారి అధిపతియొక్క లేఖికుని, సామాన్యజనులలో పట్టణమందు దొరకిన అరువదిమందిని పట్టుకొనెను.

19. and out of the city he took an officer that was set over the men of war; and five men of them that saw the kings face, which were found in the city; and the scribe, the captain of the host, which mustered the people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the city.

20. రాజదేహసంరక్షకుల అధిపతియగు నెబూజరదాను వీరిని తీసికొని రిబ్లా పట్టణమందున్న బబులోనురాజునొద్దకు రాగా

20. And Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.

21. బబులోనురాజు హమాతు దేశమందున్న రిబ్లా పట్టణమందు వారిని చంపించెను. ఈ రీతిగా యూదా వారు తమ దేశములోనుండి ఎత్తికొని పోబడిరి.

21. And the king of Babylon smote them, and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away captive out of his land.

22. బబు లోను రాజైన నెబుకద్నెజరు యూదా దేశమందు ఉండనిచ్చిన వారిమీద అతడు షాఫానునకు పుట్టిన అహీకాము కుమారుడైన గెదల్యాను అధిపతిగా నిర్ణయించెను.

22. And as for the people that were left in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left, even over them he made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, governor.

23. యూదావారి సైన్యాధిపతులందరును వారి జనులంద రును బబులోనురాజు గెదల్యాను అధిపతిగా నియమించిన సంగతి విని, మిస్పాపట్టణమందున్న గెదల్యాయొద్దకు నెతన్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మాయేలును, కారేహ కుమారుడైన యోహానానును, నెటోపాతీయుడైన తన్హుమెతు కుమారుడగు శెరాయాయును, మాయకాతీయుడైన యొకనికిపుట్టిన యజన్యాను కూడి రాగా

23. Now when all the captains of the forces, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah governor, they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.

24. గెదల్యావారితోను వారి జనులతోను ప్రమాణముచేసికల్దీయులకు మనము దాసులమైతిమని జడియవద్దు, దేశమందు కాపురముండి బబులోను రాజునకు మీరు సేవచేసినయెడల మీకు మేలు కలుగునని చెప్పెను.

24. And Gedaliah sware to them and to their men, and said unto them, Fear not because of the servants of the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.

25. అయితే ఏడవ మాసమందు రాజ వంశజుడగు ఎలీషామాకు పుట్టిన నెతన్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మాయేలు పదిమంది మనుష్యులను పిలుచుకొని వచ్చి గెదల్యామీద పడగా అతడు మరణమాయెను. మరియు మిస్పాలో అతని యొద్దనున్న యూదులను కల్దీయులను అతడు హతముచేసెను.

25. But it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, came, and ten men with him, and smote Gedaliah, that he died, and the Jews and the Chaldeans that were with him at Mizpah.

26. అప్పుడు కొద్దివారేమి గొప్ప వారేమి జనులందరును, సైన్యాధిపతులును, లేచి కల్దీయుల భయముచేత ఐగుప్తుదేశమునకు పారిపోయిరి.

26. And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the forces, arose, and came to Egypt: for they were afraid of the Chaldeans.

27. యూదారాజైన యెహోయాకీను చెరలో ఉంచబడిన ముప్పదియేడవ సంవత్సరమున పండ్రెండవ నెల యిరువది యేడవ దినమున బబులోనురాజైన ఎవీల్మెరోదకు తాను ఏలనారంభించిన సంవత్సర మందు బందీగృహములోనుండి యూదారాజైన యెహోయాకీనును తెప్పించి

27. And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, that Evilmerodach king of Babylon, in the year that he began to reign, did lift up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison;

28. అతనితో దయగా మాటలాడి, అతని పీఠమును బబులోనులో తన యొద్దనున్న రాజుల పీఠములకంటె ఎత్తుచేసెను.

28. and he spake kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon.

29. కాగా అతడు తన బందీగృహ వస్త్రములను తీసివేసి వేరు వస్త్ర ములను ధరించుకొని తాను బ్రదికిన దినములన్నియు రాజు సన్నిధిని భోజనముచేయుచు వచ్చెను.

29. and he changed his prison garments, and did eat bread before him continually all the days of his life.

30. మరియు అతని బత్తెము ఏనాటికి ఆనాడు రాజుచేత నిర్ణయింపబడినదై అతడు బ్రదికినన్నాళ్లు ఆ చొప్పున అతని కియ్యబడు చుండెను.

30. and for his allowance, there was a continual allowance given him of the king, every day a portion, all the days of his life.
