1. Now Elisha the man of God called one of the sons of those who spoke for God. He said to him, 'Get ready to travel. Take this jar of oil and go to Ramoth-gilead.

2. అచ్చట ప్రవేశించినప్పుడు నింషీకి పుట్టిన యెహోషాపాతు కుమారుడైన యెహూ యెక్కడ నున్నాడని తెలిసికొని అతనిని దర్శించి, అతని సహోదరుల మధ్యనుండి అతనిని చాటుగా రప్పించి, లోపలి గదిలోకి అతనిని పిలుచుకొని పోయి

2. When you get there, find Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi. Go in and have him come away from his brothers. Bring him into a room in the house.

3. తైలపుగిన్నె తీసికొని అతని తలమీద తైలము పోసినేను నిన్ను ఇశ్రాయేలుమీద పట్టాభిషిక్తునిగా చేసితినని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడని అతనితో చెప్పి, ఆలస్యము చేయక తలుపుతీసి పారి పొమ్ము.

3. Then take the jar of oil and pour it on his head and say, 'The Lord says, 'I have chosen you to be the king of Israel.' ' Then open the door and run. Do not wait.'

4. ¸యౌవనుడైన ఆ ప్రవక్త పోవలెనని బయలుదేరి రామోత్గిలాదునకు వచ్చునప్పటికి సైన్యాధిపతులు కూర్చుని యుండిరి.

4. So the young servant of the man of God went to Ramoth-gilead.

5. అప్పుడతడు అధిపతీ, నీకొక సమాచారము తెచ్చితినని చెప్పగా యెహూయిందరిలో అది ఎవరిని గూర్చినదని అడుగగా అతడు అధిపతీ నిన్ను గూర్చినదే యనెను; అందుకు యెహూ లేచి యింటిలో ప్రవేశిం చెను.

5. When he came, he found the captains of the army sitting there. He said, 'I have something to tell you, O captain.' And Jehu said, 'Which one of us?' And he said, 'You, O captain.'

6. అప్పుడు ఆ ¸యౌవనుడు అతని తలమీద తైలము పోసి అతనితో ఇట్లనెనుఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడైన యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగాయెహోవా జనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలు వారిమీద నేను నిన్ను పట్టాభిషిక్తునిగా చేయుచున్నాను.

6. So he got up and went into the house. He poured the oil on Jehu's head and said to him, 'The Lord, the God of Israel, says, 'I have chosen you king over the people of the Lord, over Israel.

7. You are to destroy the house of your owner Ahab, so that I will punish Jezebel for the blood of My servants who speak for God, and the blood of all the Lord's servants.

8. అహాబు సంతతివారందరును నశింతురు; అల్పులలోనేమి ఘనులలోనేమి అహాబు సంతతిలో ఏ పురుషుడును ఉండ కుండ అందరిని నిర్మూలము చేయుము.

8. The whole family of Ahab must be destroyed. And I will destroy every male person in Israel who belongs to Ahab, both the servants and those who are free.

9. నెబాతు కుమారు డైన యరొబాము కుటుంబికులను అహీయా కుమారుడైన బయెషా కుటుంబికులను నేను అప్పగించినట్లు అహాబు కుటుంబికులను నేను అప్పగించుదును.

9. I will make the family of Ahab like the family of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the family of Baasha the son of Ahijah.

10. యెజెబెలు పాతి పెట్టబడక యెజ్రెయేలు భూభాగమందు కుక్కలచేత తినివేయబడును. ఆ ¸యౌవనుడు ఈ మాటలు చెప్పి తలుపుతీసి పారిపోయెను.

10. The dogs will eat Jezebel in the land of Jezreel. No one will bury her.' ' Then he opened the door and ran away.

11. యెహూ బయలుదేరి తన యజమానుని సేవకులయొద్దకు రాగా ఒకడుఏమి సంభ వించినది? ఆ వెఱ్ఱివాడు నీయొద్దకు వచ్చిన హేతువేమని అతని నడుగగా, అతడువానిని వాని మాటలు మీరెరిగెయున్నారని చెప్పెను.

11. When Jehu came out to his owner's servants, one said to him, 'Is all well? Why did this crazy person come to you?' Jehu said, 'You know the man and his talk.'

12. And they said, 'That is not true. Tell us now.' Jehu said, 'This is how he spoke to me. He said, 'The Lord says, 'I have chosen you to be the king of Israel.' ' ''

13. Then each man took his clothes in a hurry and put them under him on the steps. And they sounded the horn and said, 'Jehu is king!'

14. ఈ ప్రకారము నింషీకి పుట్టిన యెహోషాపాతు కుమారుడైన యెహూ యెహోరాముమీద కుట్రచేసెను. అప్పుడు యెహోరామును ఇశ్రాయేలువారందరును సిరియా రాజైన హజాయేలును ఎదిరించుటకై రామో త్గిలాదు దగ్గర కావలి యుండిరి.

14. So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi made plans against Joram. Now Joram and all Israel were fighting against Hazael king of Syria at Ramoth-gilead.

15. అయితే యెహోరాము సిరియా రాజైన హజాయేలుతో యుద్ధము చేయుచుండగా సిరియనులవలన తాను పొందిన గాయములను బాగు చేసి కొనుటకై యెజ్రెయేలు ఊరికి తిరిగి వచ్చియుండెను. అంతట యెహూనీకనుకూలమైతే ఈ సంగతి తెలియ బడకుండునట్లు ఈ పట్టణములోనుండి యెవనినైనను యెజ్రెయేలు ఊరికి తప్పించుకొని పోనియ్యకుమని ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చి

15. But King Joram had returned to Jezreel to be healed of the cuts the Syrians had given him, when he fought with King Hazael of Syria. So Jehu said, 'If this is what you have in mind, then let no one get out of the city to tell the news in Jezreel.'

16. రథముయెక్కి, యెజ్రెయేలు ఊరిలో యెహో రాము మంచము పట్టియుండగా అచ్చటికి పోయెను మరియు యూదా రాజైన అహజ్యా యెహోరామును దర్శించుటకై అచ్చటికి వచ్చి యుండెను.

16. Then Jehu went to Jezreel in a war-wagon, for Joram was lying there. And Ahaziah the king of Judah had come down to see Joram.

17. యెజ్రెయేలు గోపురముమీద కావలివాడు నిలిచి యుండి, యెహూతో కలిసి వచ్చుచున్న సైన్యమును చూచిసైన్యమొకటి నాకు కనబడుచున్నదని తెలియజెప్పగా యెహోరాము ఒక రౌతును పిలిచివారిని ఎదుర్కొనబోయిసమా ధానముగా వచ్చుచున్నారా అని అడుగుమని చెప్పి, పంపుమని వానితో సెలవిచ్చెను.

17. Now the man who watched for danger was standing in the tower in Jezreel. He saw the group of Jehu's men coming, and said, 'I see a group of men coming.' Joram said, 'Send a horseman to meet them and ask, 'Do you come in peace?' ''

18. కాబట్టి యొకడు గుఱ్ఱ మెక్కిపోయి అతనిని ఎదుర్కొనిసమాధానముగా వచ్చుచున్నారా? అని అడుగుమని రాజు నన్ను పంపెననగా యెహూసమాధానముతో నీకేమి పని? నీవు నా వెనుకకు తిరిగిరమ్మని వానితో చెప్పగా ఆ కావలివాడుపంపబడినవాడు వారిని కలిసికొనెను గాని తిరిగి రాక నిలిచెనని సమాచారము తెలిపెను.

18. So a horseman went to meet him and said, 'The king asks, 'Do you come in peace?' '' And Jehu said, 'What have you to do with peace? Get behind me.' Then the watchman told Joram, 'The horseman came to them, but he did not return.'

19. రాజు రెండవ రౌతును పంపగా వాడు వారియొద్దకు వచ్చిసమాధానముగా వచ్చుచున్నారా? అని అడుగుమని రాజు నన్ను పంపెననగా యెహూసమధానముతో నీకేమి పని? నా వెనుకకు తిరిగి రమ్మని వానితో చెప్పెను.

19. So he sent out a second horseman, who came to them and said, 'The king asks, 'Do you come in peace?' '' And Jehu answered, 'What have you to do with peace? Get behind me.'

20. అప్పుడు కావలి వాడువీడును వారిని కలిసికొని తిరిగిరాక నిలిచెను మరియు అతడు వెఱ్ఱి తోలడము తోలుచున్నాడు గనుక అది నింషీకుమారుడైన యెహూ తోలడమువలెనే యున్న దనెను.

20. The watchman told Joram, 'He came to them, and he did not return. The leader goes in his war-wagon like a mad man, just like Jehu.'

21. రథము సిద్ధము చేయుమని యెహోరాము సెల వియ్యగా వారు అతని రథము సిద్ధముచేసిరి. అప్పుడు ఇశ్రాయేలురాజైన యెహోరామును యూదారాజైన అహజ్యాయును తమ తమ రథములనెక్కి యెహూను కలియబోయి యెజ్రెయేలీయుడైన నాబోతు భూభాగమందు అతనిని ఎదుర్కొనిరి.

21. Then Joram said, 'Get ready.' And they made his war-wagon ready. Then Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in their war-wagon, to meet Jehu. They found him in the field of Naboth the Jezreelite.

22. అంతట యెహోరాముయెహూను చూచియెహూ సమాధానమా? అని అడు గగా యెహూనీ తల్లియైన యెజెబెలు జారత్వములును చిల్లంగి తనములును ఇంత యపరిమితమై యుండగా సమా ధాన మెక్కడనుండి వచ్చుననెను.

22. When Joram saw Jehu, he said, 'Do you come in peace, Jehu?' And he answered, 'What peace can there be, so long as the sinful ways and witchcrafts of your mother Jezebel are so many?'

23. యెహోరాము రథము త్రిప్పి అహజ్యా, ద్రోహము జరుగుచున్నదని అహజ్యాతో చెప్పి పారిపోయెను.

23. So Joram turned the horses around and ran away, saying to Ahaziah, 'He is turning against the king, O Ahaziah!'

24. అప్పుడు యెహూ తన బలముకొలది విల్లు ఎక్కు పెట్టి యెహోరామును భుజ ములమధ్య కొట్టగా బాణము అతని గుండెగుండ దూసి పోయెను గనుక అతడు తన రథమునందే యొరిగెను.

24. Jehu pulled his bow with all his strength and shot Joram between his arms. The arrow went through his heart, and he fell in his war-wagon.

25. కాగా యెహూ తన అధిపతియైన బిద్కరును పిలిచి యిట్లనెను అతని ఎత్తి యెజ్రెయేలీయుడైన నాబోతు భూభాగమందు పడవేయుము; మనమిద్దరమును అతని తండ్రియైన అహాబు వెనుక గుఱ్ఱములెక్కి వచ్చినప్పుడు యెహోవా అతనిమీద ఈ శిక్షమోపిన సంగతి జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనుము.

25. Then Jehu said to Bidkar his captain, 'Pick him up and throw him into the field of Naboth the Jezreelite. For I remember when you and I were going together after his father Ahab. The Lord said then that this would happen to him.

26. అప్పుడు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చినదేమనగా నిశ్చయముగా నాబోతు రక్తమును వాని కుమారుల రక్తమును నిన్నటి దినమున నేను చూచితిని గనుక ఈ భూభాగమందు నేను దానికి ప్రతికారము చేయుదును; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు. కాబట్టి నీవు యెహోవా మాట చొప్పున అతని ఎత్తి యీ భూభాగమందు పడవేయుము అనెను.

26. The Lord said, 'Yesterday I have seen the blood of Naboth and his sons. I will punish you in this field.' So now take and throw him into the field, as the word of the Lord has said.'

27. యూదారాజైన అహజ్యా జరిగిన దాని చూచి వనములోని నగరి మార్గముగా పారిపోయెను; అయినను యెహూ అతని తరిమి, రథమునందు అతని హతముచేయుడని ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను గనుక వారు ఇబ్లెయాము దగ్గరనున్న గూరునకు పోవు మార్గమందు అతని కొట్టగా అతడు మెగిద్దోకు పారిపోయి అచ్చట మరణమాయెను.

27. When Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he ran away toward the garden house. Jehu went after him and said, 'Shoot him in the warwagon also.' So they shot him at the hill of Gur, by Ibleam. But he got away to Megiddo and died there.

28. అప్పుడు అతని సేవకులు అతనిని రథముమీద వేసి యెరూషలేమునకు తీసికొని పోయి దావీదు పురమందు అతని పితరుల సమా ధిలో అతని పాతిపెట్టిరి.

28. His servants carried him in a warwagon to Jerusalem. They buried him in his grave with his fathers in the city of David.

29. అహజ్యా అహాబు కుమారుడైన యెహోరాము ఏలు బడిలో పదకొండవ సంవత్సరమందు యూదాను ఏల నారంభించెను.

29. In the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab, Ahaziah became the king of Judah.

30. యెహూ యెజ్రెయేలు ఊరికి వచ్చిన సంగతి యెజె బెలునకు వినబడెను గనుక ఆమె తన ముఖమునకు రంగు పూసికొని శిరోభూషణములు ధరించుకొని కిటికీలోనుండి కనిపెట్టి చూచుచుండగా

30. When Jehu came to Jezreel, Jezebel heard about it. She colored her eyes and combed her hair, and then looked out the window.

31. యెహూ గుమ్మముద్వారా ప్రవేశించెను. ఆమె అతనిని చూచినీ యజమానుని చంపినవాడా, జిమీ వంటివాడా, నీవు సమాధానముగా వచ్చుచున్నావా అని అడుగగా

31. As Jehu came through the gate, she said, 'Is it well, Zimri, your owner's killer?'

32. అతడు తలయెత్తి కిటికీ తట్టు చూచినా పక్షమందున్న వారెవరని అడుగగా ఇద్దరు ముగ్గురు పరిచారకులు పైనుండి తొంగిచూచిరి.

32. Then he looked up to the window and said, 'Who is on my side? Who?' And two or three men looked down at him.

33. దీనిని క్రింద పడద్రోయుడని అతడు చెప్పగా వారు దానిని క్రిందికి పడద్రోసినందున దాని రక్తములో కొంత గోడమీదను గుఱ్ఱములమీదను చిందెను. మరియు గుఱ్ఱ ములచేత అతడు దానిని త్రొక్కించెను.

33. Then he said, 'Throw her down.' So they threw Jezebel down. Some of her blood went on the wall and on the horses. And Jehu made his war-wagons go over her.

34. Then Jehu went in and ate and drank. And he said, 'Now go out to this sinful woman and bury her, for she is a king's daughter.'

35. So they went to bury her. But all they found were her skull and feet and hands.

36. When they returned and told Jehu, he said, 'This is the word of the Lord, which He spoke by His servant Elijah the Tishbite. He said, 'In the land of Jezreel the dogs will eat the flesh of Jezebel.

37. యెజెబెలుయొక్క కళేబరము యెజ్రెయేలు భూభాగ మందున్న పెంటవలె నుండును అని తన సేవకుడును తిష్బీ యుడునగు ఏలీయాద్వారా యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన మాట చొప్పున యిది జరిగెను.

37. Jezebel's body will be as waste on the field in the land of Jezreel. So no one will be able to say, 'This is Jezebel.' ' ''
