1. Meanwhile the prophet Elisha called one of the young prophets and said to him, 'Get ready and go to Ramoth in Gilead. Take this jar of olive oil with you,

2. అచ్చట ప్రవేశించినప్పుడు నింషీకి పుట్టిన యెహోషాపాతు కుమారుడైన యెహూ యెక్కడ నున్నాడని తెలిసికొని అతనిని దర్శించి, అతని సహోదరుల మధ్యనుండి అతనిని చాటుగా రప్పించి, లోపలి గదిలోకి అతనిని పిలుచుకొని పోయి

2. and when you get there look for Jehu, the son of Jehoshaphat and grandson of Nimshi. Take him to a private room away from his companions,

3. తైలపుగిన్నె తీసికొని అతని తలమీద తైలము పోసినేను నిన్ను ఇశ్రాయేలుమీద పట్టాభిషిక్తునిగా చేసితినని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడని అతనితో చెప్పి, ఆలస్యము చేయక తలుపుతీసి పారి పొమ్ము.

3. pour this olive oil on his head, and say, 'The LORD proclaims that he anoints you king of Israel.' Then leave there as fast as you can.'

4. ¸యౌవనుడైన ఆ ప్రవక్త పోవలెనని బయలుదేరి రామోత్గిలాదునకు వచ్చునప్పటికి సైన్యాధిపతులు కూర్చుని యుండిరి.

4. So the young prophet went to Ramoth,

5. అప్పుడతడు అధిపతీ, నీకొక సమాచారము తెచ్చితినని చెప్పగా యెహూయిందరిలో అది ఎవరిని గూర్చినదని అడుగగా అతడు అధిపతీ నిన్ను గూర్చినదే యనెను; అందుకు యెహూ లేచి యింటిలో ప్రవేశిం చెను.

5. where he found the army officers in a conference. He said, 'Sir, I have a message for you.' Jehu asked, 'Which one of us are you speaking to?' 'To you, sir,' he replied.

6. అప్పుడు ఆ ¸యౌవనుడు అతని తలమీద తైలము పోసి అతనితో ఇట్లనెనుఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడైన యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగాయెహోవా జనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలు వారిమీద నేను నిన్ను పట్టాభిషిక్తునిగా చేయుచున్నాను.

6. Then the two of them went indoors, and the young prophet poured the olive oil on Jehu's head and said to him, 'The LORD, the God of Israel, proclaims: 'I anoint you king of my people Israel.

7. You are to kill your master the king, that son of Ahab, so that I may punish Jezebel for murdering my prophets and my other servants.

8. అహాబు సంతతివారందరును నశింతురు; అల్పులలోనేమి ఘనులలోనేమి అహాబు సంతతిలో ఏ పురుషుడును ఉండ కుండ అందరిని నిర్మూలము చేయుము.

8. All of Ahab's family and descendants are to die; I will get rid of every male in his family, young and old alike.

9. నెబాతు కుమారు డైన యరొబాము కుటుంబికులను అహీయా కుమారుడైన బయెషా కుటుంబికులను నేను అప్పగించినట్లు అహాబు కుటుంబికులను నేను అప్పగించుదును.

9. I will treat his family as I did the families of King Jeroboam of Israel and of King Baasha of Israel.

10. యెజెబెలు పాతి పెట్టబడక యెజ్రెయేలు భూభాగమందు కుక్కలచేత తినివేయబడును. ఆ ¸యౌవనుడు ఈ మాటలు చెప్పి తలుపుతీసి పారిపోయెను.

10. Jezebel will not be buried; her body will be eaten by dogs in the territory of Jezreel.' ' After saying this, the young prophet left the room and fled.

11. యెహూ బయలుదేరి తన యజమానుని సేవకులయొద్దకు రాగా ఒకడుఏమి సంభ వించినది? ఆ వెఱ్ఱివాడు నీయొద్దకు వచ్చిన హేతువేమని అతని నడుగగా, అతడువానిని వాని మాటలు మీరెరిగెయున్నారని చెప్పెను.

11. Jehu went back to his fellow officers, who asked him, 'Is everything all right? What did that crazy fellow want with you?' 'You know what he wanted,' Jehu answered.

12. No we don't!' they replied. 'Tell us what he said!' 'He told me that the LORD proclaims: 'I anoint you king of Israel.' '

13. At once Jehu's fellow officers spread their cloaks at the top of the steps for Jehu to stand on, blew trumpets, and shouted, 'Jehu is king!'

14. ఈ ప్రకారము నింషీకి పుట్టిన యెహోషాపాతు కుమారుడైన యెహూ యెహోరాముమీద కుట్రచేసెను. అప్పుడు యెహోరామును ఇశ్రాయేలువారందరును సిరియా రాజైన హజాయేలును ఎదిరించుటకై రామో త్గిలాదు దగ్గర కావలి యుండిరి.

14. Then Jehu plotted against King Joram, who was in Jezreel, where he had gone to recover from the wounds which he had received in the battle at Ramoth against King Hazael of Syria. So Jehu said to his fellow officers, 'If you are with me, make sure that no one slips out of Ramoth to go and warn the people in Jezreel.'

15. అయితే యెహోరాము సిరియా రాజైన హజాయేలుతో యుద్ధము చేయుచుండగా సిరియనులవలన తాను పొందిన గాయములను బాగు చేసి కొనుటకై యెజ్రెయేలు ఊరికి తిరిగి వచ్చియుండెను. అంతట యెహూనీకనుకూలమైతే ఈ సంగతి తెలియ బడకుండునట్లు ఈ పట్టణములోనుండి యెవనినైనను యెజ్రెయేలు ఊరికి తప్పించుకొని పోనియ్యకుమని ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చి

16. రథముయెక్కి, యెజ్రెయేలు ఊరిలో యెహో రాము మంచము పట్టియుండగా అచ్చటికి పోయెను మరియు యూదా రాజైన అహజ్యా యెహోరామును దర్శించుటకై అచ్చటికి వచ్చి యుండెను.

16. Then he got into his chariot and set off for Jezreel. Joram had still not recovered, and King Ahaziah of Judah was there, visiting him.

17. యెజ్రెయేలు గోపురముమీద కావలివాడు నిలిచి యుండి, యెహూతో కలిసి వచ్చుచున్న సైన్యమును చూచిసైన్యమొకటి నాకు కనబడుచున్నదని తెలియజెప్పగా యెహోరాము ఒక రౌతును పిలిచివారిని ఎదుర్కొనబోయిసమా ధానముగా వచ్చుచున్నారా అని అడుగుమని చెప్పి, పంపుమని వానితో సెలవిచ్చెను.

17. A guard on duty in the watchtower at Jezreel saw Jehu and his men approaching. 'I see some men riding up!' he called out. Joram replied, 'Send a rider to find out if they are friends or enemies.'

18. కాబట్టి యొకడు గుఱ్ఱ మెక్కిపోయి అతనిని ఎదుర్కొనిసమాధానముగా వచ్చుచున్నారా? అని అడుగుమని రాజు నన్ను పంపెననగా యెహూసమాధానముతో నీకేమి పని? నీవు నా వెనుకకు తిరిగిరమ్మని వానితో చెప్పగా ఆ కావలివాడుపంపబడినవాడు వారిని కలిసికొనెను గాని తిరిగి రాక నిలిచెనని సమాచారము తెలిపెను.

18. The messenger rode out to Jehu and said to him, 'The king wants to know if you come as a friend.' 'That's none of your business!' Jehu answered. 'Fall in behind me.' The guard on the watchtower reported that the messenger had reached the group but was not returning.

19. రాజు రెండవ రౌతును పంపగా వాడు వారియొద్దకు వచ్చిసమాధానముగా వచ్చుచున్నారా? అని అడుగుమని రాజు నన్ను పంపెననగా యెహూసమధానముతో నీకేమి పని? నా వెనుకకు తిరిగి రమ్మని వానితో చెప్పెను.

19. Another messenger was sent out, who asked Jehu the same question. Again Jehu answered, 'That's none of your business! Fall in behind me.'

20. అప్పుడు కావలి వాడువీడును వారిని కలిసికొని తిరిగిరాక నిలిచెను మరియు అతడు వెఱ్ఱి తోలడము తోలుచున్నాడు గనుక అది నింషీకుమారుడైన యెహూ తోలడమువలెనే యున్న దనెను.

20. Once more the guard reported that the messenger had reached the group but was not returning. And he added, 'The leader of the group is driving his chariot like a madman, just like Jehu!'

21. రథము సిద్ధము చేయుమని యెహోరాము సెల వియ్యగా వారు అతని రథము సిద్ధముచేసిరి. అప్పుడు ఇశ్రాయేలురాజైన యెహోరామును యూదారాజైన అహజ్యాయును తమ తమ రథములనెక్కి యెహూను కలియబోయి యెజ్రెయేలీయుడైన నాబోతు భూభాగమందు అతనిని ఎదుర్కొనిరి.

21. 'Get my chariot ready,' King Joram ordered. It was done, and he and King Ahaziah rode out, each in his own chariot, to meet Jehu. They met him at the field which had belonged to Naboth.

22. అంతట యెహోరాముయెహూను చూచియెహూ సమాధానమా? అని అడు గగా యెహూనీ తల్లియైన యెజెబెలు జారత్వములును చిల్లంగి తనములును ఇంత యపరిమితమై యుండగా సమా ధాన మెక్కడనుండి వచ్చుననెను.

22. 'Are you coming in peace?' Joram asked him. 'How can there be peace,' Jehu answered, 'when we still have all the witchcraft and idolatry that your mother Jezebel started?'

23. యెహోరాము రథము త్రిప్పి అహజ్యా, ద్రోహము జరుగుచున్నదని అహజ్యాతో చెప్పి పారిపోయెను.

23. 'It's treason, Ahaziah!' Joram cried out, as he turned his chariot around and fled.

24. అప్పుడు యెహూ తన బలముకొలది విల్లు ఎక్కు పెట్టి యెహోరామును భుజ ములమధ్య కొట్టగా బాణము అతని గుండెగుండ దూసి పోయెను గనుక అతడు తన రథమునందే యొరిగెను.

24. Jehu drew his bow, and with all his strength shot an arrow that struck Joram in the back and pierced his heart. Joram fell dead in his chariot,

25. కాగా యెహూ తన అధిపతియైన బిద్కరును పిలిచి యిట్లనెను అతని ఎత్తి యెజ్రెయేలీయుడైన నాబోతు భూభాగమందు పడవేయుము; మనమిద్దరమును అతని తండ్రియైన అహాబు వెనుక గుఱ్ఱములెక్కి వచ్చినప్పుడు యెహోవా అతనిమీద ఈ శిక్షమోపిన సంగతి జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనుము.

25. and Jehu said to his aide Bidkar, 'Get his body and throw it in the field that belonged to Naboth. Remember that when you and I were riding together behind King Joram's father Ahab, the LORD spoke these words against Ahab:

26. అప్పుడు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చినదేమనగా నిశ్చయముగా నాబోతు రక్తమును వాని కుమారుల రక్తమును నిన్నటి దినమున నేను చూచితిని గనుక ఈ భూభాగమందు నేను దానికి ప్రతికారము చేయుదును; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు. కాబట్టి నీవు యెహోవా మాట చొప్పున అతని ఎత్తి యీ భూభాగమందు పడవేయుము అనెను.

26. I saw the murder of Naboth and his sons yesterday. And I promise that I will punish you here in this same field.' So take Joram's body,' Jehu ordered his aide, 'and throw it in the field that belonged to Naboth, so as to fulfill the LORD's promise.'

27. యూదారాజైన అహజ్యా జరిగిన దాని చూచి వనములోని నగరి మార్గముగా పారిపోయెను; అయినను యెహూ అతని తరిమి, రథమునందు అతని హతముచేయుడని ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను గనుక వారు ఇబ్లెయాము దగ్గరనున్న గూరునకు పోవు మార్గమందు అతని కొట్టగా అతడు మెగిద్దోకు పారిపోయి అచ్చట మరణమాయెను.

27. King Ahaziah saw what happened, so he fled in his chariot toward the town of Beth Haggan, pursued by Jehu. 'Kill him too!' Jehu ordered his men, and they wounded him as he drove his chariot on the road up to Gur, near the town of Ibleam. But he managed to keep on going until he reached the city of Megiddo, where he died.

28. అప్పుడు అతని సేవకులు అతనిని రథముమీద వేసి యెరూషలేమునకు తీసికొని పోయి దావీదు పురమందు అతని పితరుల సమా ధిలో అతని పాతిపెట్టిరి.

28. His officials took his body back to Jerusalem in a chariot and buried him in the royal tombs in David's City.

29. అహజ్యా అహాబు కుమారుడైన యెహోరాము ఏలు బడిలో పదకొండవ సంవత్సరమందు యూదాను ఏల నారంభించెను.

29. Ahaziah had become king of Judah in the eleventh year that Joram son of Ahab was king of Israel.

30. యెహూ యెజ్రెయేలు ఊరికి వచ్చిన సంగతి యెజె బెలునకు వినబడెను గనుక ఆమె తన ముఖమునకు రంగు పూసికొని శిరోభూషణములు ధరించుకొని కిటికీలోనుండి కనిపెట్టి చూచుచుండగా

30. Jehu arrived in Jezreel. Jezebel, having heard what had happened, put on eye shadow, arranged her hair, and stood looking down at the street from a window in the palace.

31. యెహూ గుమ్మముద్వారా ప్రవేశించెను. ఆమె అతనిని చూచినీ యజమానుని చంపినవాడా, జిమీ వంటివాడా, నీవు సమాధానముగా వచ్చుచున్నావా అని అడుగగా

31. As Jehu came through the gate, she called out, 'You Zimri! You assassin! Why are you here?'

32. అతడు తలయెత్తి కిటికీ తట్టు చూచినా పక్షమందున్న వారెవరని అడుగగా ఇద్దరు ముగ్గురు పరిచారకులు పైనుండి తొంగిచూచిరి.

32. Jehu looked up and shouted, 'Who is on my side?' Two or three palace officials looked down at him from a window,

33. దీనిని క్రింద పడద్రోయుడని అతడు చెప్పగా వారు దానిని క్రిందికి పడద్రోసినందున దాని రక్తములో కొంత గోడమీదను గుఱ్ఱములమీదను చిందెను. మరియు గుఱ్ఱ ములచేత అతడు దానిని త్రొక్కించెను.

33. and Jehu said to them, 'Throw her down!' They threw her down, and her blood spattered on the wall and on the horses. Jehu drove his horses and chariot over her body,

35. But the men who went out to bury her found nothing except her skull and the bones of her hands and feet.

36. When they reported this to Jehu, he said, 'This is what the LORD said would happen, when he spoke through his servant Elijah: 'Dogs will eat Jezebel's body in the territory of Jezreel.

37. యెజెబెలుయొక్క కళేబరము యెజ్రెయేలు భూభాగ మందున్న పెంటవలె నుండును అని తన సేవకుడును తిష్బీ యుడునగు ఏలీయాద్వారా యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన మాట చొప్పున యిది జరిగెను.

37. Her remains will be scattered there like dung, so that no one will be able to identify them.' '
