1. దావీదు ఏండ్లు నిండిన వృద్ధుడాయెను గనుక అతడు తన కుమారుడైన సొలొమోనును ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మీద రాజుగా నియమించెను.

1. So when David was old and satisfied with days, he made his son Solomon king over Israel.

2. మరియు అతడు ఇశ్రా యేలీయుల యధిపతులందరిని యాజకులను లేవీయులను సమకూర్చెను.

2. And he gathered together all the rulers of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.

3. Now the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years and above; and the head count of the men was thirty-eight thousand.

4. వీరిలో ఇరువది నాలుగువేలమంది యెహోవా మందిరపు పని విచారించువారుగాను,ఆరు వేలమంది అధిపతులుగాను, న్యాయాధిపతులుగాను ఉండిరి.

4. Of these, twenty-four thousand were to oversee the work of the house of Jehovah, six thousand officers and judges,

5. నాలుగు వేలమంది ద్వారపాలకులుగా నియమింపబడిరి. మరినాలుగు వేలమంది స్తుతిచేయు నిమిత్తమై దావీదు చేయించిన వాద్యవిశేషములతో యెహోవాను స్తుతించువారుగా నియమింపబడిరి.

5. four thousand gatekeepers, and four thousand for praising Jehovah with instruments, which I have made, said David, to give praise.

6. గెర్షోను కహాతు మెరారీయులు అను లేవీయులలో దావీదు వారిని వరుసలుగా విభాగించెను. గెర్షోనీయులలో లద్దాను షిమీ అనువారుండిరి.

6. David also divided them into divisions among the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

7. లద్దాను కుమారులు ముగ్గురు;

7. The Gershonites: Laadan and Shimei.

8. పెద్దవాడగు యెహీయేలు, జేతాము యోవేలు

8. The sons of Laadan: the first Jehiel, then Zetham and Joel; three.

9. షిమీ కుమారులు ముగ్గురు, షెలోమీతు హజీయేలు హారాను, వీరు లద్దాను వంశముయొక్క పితరుల పెద్దలు.

9. The sons of Shimei: Shelomith, Haziel, and Haran; three. These were the heads of the fathers of Laadan.

10. యహతు జీనా యూషు బెరీయా అను నలుగురును షిమీ కుమారులు.

10. And the sons of Shimei: Jahath, Zina, Jeush, and Beriah; these, the four sons of Shimei.

11. యహతు పెద్దవాడు జీనా రెండవవాడు. యూషునకును బెరీయాకును కుమారులు అనేకులు లేకపోయిరి గనుక తమ పితరుల యింటి వారిలో వారు ఒక్కవంశముగా ఎంచబడిరి.

11. Jahath was the first and Zizah the second. But Jeush and Beriah did not have many sons; therefore they were reckoned as one father's house.

12. కహాతు కుమారులు నలుగురు, అమ్రాము ఇస్హారు హెబ్రోను ఉజ్జీయేలు.

12. The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel; four.

13. అమ్రాము కుమారులు అహరోను మోషే; అహరోనును అతని కుమారులును నిత్యము అతి పరిశుద్ధమైన వస్తువులను ప్రతిష్ఠించుటకును, యెహోవా సన్నిధిని ధూపము వేయుటకును, ఆయన సేవ జరిగించుటకును, ఆయన నామమును బట్టి జనులను దీవించుటకును ప్రత్యేకింపబడిరి.

13. The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses. And Aaron was set apart, he and his sons perpetually, that he should consecrate the set apart, holy things, to burn incense before Jehovah, to serve Him, and to bless in His name perpetually.

14. దైవజనుడగు మోషే సంతతివారు లేవి గోత్రపువారిలో ఎంచబడిరి.

14. The sons of Moses the man of God were reckoned to the tribe of Levi.

15. మోషే కుమారులు గెర్షోము ఎలీయెజెరు.

15. The sons of Moses: Gershon and Eliezer.

16. గెర్షోము కుమారులలో షెబూయేలు పెద్దవాడు.

16. The sons of Gershon: Shebuel was head.

17. ఎలీయెజెరు కుమారులలో రెహబ్యా అను పెద్దవాడు తప్ప ఇక కుమారులు అతనికి లేకపోయిరి, అయితే రెహబ్యాకు అనేకమంది కుమారులుండిరి.

17. The sons of Eliezer: Rehabiah was head. And Eliezer had no other sons, but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.

18. ఇస్హారు కుమారులలో షెలోమీతు పెద్దవాడు.

18. The sons of Izhar: Shelomith was head.

19. హెబ్రోను కుమారులలో యెరీయా పెద్దవాడు, అమర్యా రెండవవాడు,యహజీయేలు మూడవవాడు, యెక్మెయాము నాలుగవవాడు.

19. The sons of Hebron: Jeriah was the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.

20. ఉజ్జీయేలు కుమారులలో మీకా పెద్ద వాడు యెషీయా రెండవవాడు.

20. The sons of Uzziel: Michah was the first and Jesshiah the second.

21. మెరారి కుమారులు మహలి మూషి; మహలి కుమారులు ఎలియాజరు కీషు.

21. The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The sons of Mahli: Eleazar and Kish.

22. ఎలియాజరు చనిపోయినప్పుడు వానికి కుమార్తెలుండిరి కాని కుమారులు లేకపోయిరి. కీషు కుమారులైన వారి సహోదరులు వారిని వివాహము చేసికొనిరి.

22. And Eleazar died, and had no sons, but only daughters; and their brethren, the sons of Kish, took them as wives.

23. మూషి కుమారులు ముగ్గురు, మహలి ఏదెరు యెరీమోతు.

23. The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jeremoth; three.

24. వీరు తమ పితరుల యింటివారినిబట్టి లేవీయులుగా ఎంచబడిరి; పితరుల యిండ్లకు పెద్ద లైన వీరు ఇరువది సంవత్సరములు మొదలుకొని అంతకు పైవయస్సుగలవారై తమ తమ పేరుల లెక్కప్రకారము ఒక్కొక్కరుగా నెంచబడి యెహోవా మందిరపు సేవచేయు పనివారైయుండిరి.

24. These were the sons of Levi by their fathers' houses; heads of fathers as they were reckoned by the number of names by head count, who did the work for the service of the house of Jehovah, from the age of twenty years and above.

25. ఇశ్రాయేలీ యుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా తన జనులకు నెమ్మది దయచేసియున్నాడు గనుక వారు నిత్యము యెరూషలేములో నివాసము చేయుదురనియు

25. For David had said, Jehovah the God of Israel has given rest to His people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem always;

26. లేవీయులుకూడ ఇకమీదట గుడారమునైనను దాని సేవకొరకైన ఉపకరణ ములనైనను మోయ పనిలేదనియు దావీదు సెలవిచ్చెను.

26. and also to the Levites, They shall no longer need to carry the tabernacle, nor any of the vessels for its service.

27. దావీదు ఇచ్చిన కడవరి యాజ్ఞనుబట్టి లేవీయులలో ఇరువది సంవత్సరములు మొదలుకొని అంతకు పైవయస్సుగలవారు ఎంచబడిరి.

27. For by the last words of David the Levites were numbered from twenty years old and above;

28. వీరు అహరోను సంతతివారి చేతిక్రింద పని చూచుటకును, వారి వశముననున్న యెహోవా మందిర సేవకొరకై సాలలలోను గదులలోను ఉంచబడిన సకలమైన ప్రతిష్ఠితవస్తువులను శుద్ధిచేయుటకును, దేవుని మందిర సేవకొరకైన పనిని విచారించుటకును,

28. because their function was to give a hand to the sons of Aaron in the service of the house of Jehovah, in the courts and in the chambers, in the purifying of all holy things and the work of the service of the house of God,

29. సన్నిధి రొట్టెను నైవేద్యమునకు తగిన సన్నపు పిండిని పులుసులేని భోజ్యములను పెనములో కాల్చు దానిని పేల్చుదానిని నానావిధమైన పరిమాణములు గలవాటిని కొలతగలవాటిని విచారించుటకును,

29. both with the Bread in Rows and the fine flour for the grain offering, with the unleavened cakes and what is in the pans, with what is mixed and with all kinds of measures and sizes;

30. అనుదినము ఉదయ సాయంకాల ములయందు యెహోవానుగూర్చిన స్తుతి పాటలు పాడు టకును, విశ్రాంతిదినములలోను, అమావాస్యలలోను పండుగలలోను యెహోవాకు దహనబలులను అర్పింపవలసిన సమయములన్నిటిలోను, లెక్కకు సరియైనవారు వంతు ప్రకారము నిత్యము యెహోవా సన్నిధిని సేవ జరిగించుటకును నియమింపబడిరి.

30. to stand every morning to thank and praise Jehovah, and likewise at evening;

31. సమాజపు గుడారమును కాపాడుటయు, పరిశుద్ధస్థలమును కాపాడుటయు,

31. and to offer the burnt offerings unto Jehovah on the Sabbaths and on the new moons and on the set feasts, by number according to their ordinance, continually before Jehovah;

32. యెహోవా మందిరపు సేవతో సంబంధించిన పనులలో వారి సహోదరులగు అహరోను సంతతివారికి సహాయము చేయుటయు వారికి నియమింపబడిన పనియైయుండెను.

32. and that they should keep the charge of the tent of meeting, the charge of the holy place, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren in the service of the house of Jehovah.
