1. The family of Aaron was grouped as follows: Aaron's sons were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

2. Nadab and Abihu died before their father and left no sons. So Eleazar and Ithamar filled the office of priest.

3. దావీదు ఎలియాజరు సంతతివారిలో సాదోకును ఈతామారు సంతతివారిలో అహీమెలెకును ఏర్పరచి, వారి వారి జనముయొక్క లెక్కనుబట్టి పని నియమించెను.

3. David assigned Zadok from the family of Eleazar and Ahimelech from the family of Ithamar and assigned them to separate divisions for carrying out their appointed ministries.

4. It turned out that there were more leaders in Eleazar's family than in Ithamar's and so they divided them proportionately: sixteen clan leaders from Eleazar's family and eight clan leaders from Ithamar's family.

5. They assigned the leaders by lot, treating both families alike, for there were officials of the sanctuary and officials of God among both the Eleazar and Ithamar families.

6. లేవీయులలో శాస్త్రిగానున్న నెతనేలు కుమారుడగు షెమయా రాజు ఎదుటను, అధిపతుల యెదు టను, యాజకుడైన సాదోకు ఎదుటను, అబ్యాతారు కుమారుడైన అహీమెలెకు ఎదుటను, యాజకులయెదుటను, లేవీయుల యెదుటను, పితరుల యిండ్లపెద్దలైన వారి యెదుటను వారి పేళ్లు దాఖలు చేసెను; ఒక్కొక్క పాత్రలోనుండి యొక పితరుని యింటి చీటి ఎలియాజరు పేరటను ఇంకొకటి ఈతా మారు పేరటను తీయబడెను.

6. The secretary Shemaiah son of Nethanel, a Levite, wrote down their names in the presence of the king, the officials, Zadok the priest, Ahimelech son of Abiathar, and the leaders of the priestly and Levitical families. They took turns: One family was selected from Eleazar and then one from Ithamar.

16. పందొమ్మిదవది పెతహయాకు ఇరువదియవది యెహెజ్కేలునకు,

17. ఇరువదియొకటవది యాకీనునకు, ఇరువది రెండవది గామూలునకు,

17. the twenty-first to Jakin, the twenty-second to Gamul,

18. ఇరువది మూడవది దెలాయ్యాకు, ఇరువదినాలుగవది మయజ్యాకు పడెను.

18. the twenty-third to Delaiah, and the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.

19. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా వారి పితరుడగు అహరోనునకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన కట్టడ ప్రకారముగా వారు తమ పద్ధతిచొప్పున యెహోవా మందిరములో ప్రవేశించి చేయవలసిన సేవాధర్మము ఈలాగున ఏర్పాటు ఆయెను.

19. They served in this appointed order when they entered The Temple of GOD, following the procedures laid down by their ancestor Aaron as GOD, the God of Israel, had commanded him.

20. శేషించిన లేవీ సంతతివారెవరనగా అమ్రాము సంతతిలో షూబాయేలును, షూబాయేలు సంతతిలో యెహెద్యాహును,

20. The rest of the Levites are as follows: From the sons of Amram: Shubael; from the sons of Shubael: Jehdeiah.

21. రెహబ్యా యింటిలో అనగా రెహబ్యా సంతతిలో పెద్దవాడైన ఇష్షీయాయును,

21. Concerning Rehabiah: from his sons, Isshiah was the first.

22. ఇస్హారీ యులలో షెలోమోతును, షెలోమోతు సంతతిలో యహతును,

22. From the Izharites: Shelomoth; from the sons of Shelomoth: Jahath.

23. హెబ్రోను సంతతిలో పెద్దవాడైన యెరీయా, రెండవవాడైన అమర్యా, మూడవవాడైన యహజీయేలు, నాలుగవవాడైన యెక్మెయాములును,

23. The sons of Hebron: Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.

24. ఉజ్జీయేలు సంతతిలో మీకాయును మీకా సంతతిలో షామీరును,

24. The son of Uzziel: Micah, and from the sons of Micah: Shamir.

25. ఇష్షీయా సంతతిలో జెకర్యాయును,

25. The brother of Micah was Isshiah, and from the sons of Isshiah: Zechariah.

26. మెరారీ సంతతిలో మహలి, మూషి అనువారును యహజీ యాహు సంతతిలో బెనోయును.

26. The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The son of Jaaziah: Beno.

27. యహజీయాహువలన మెరారికి కలిగిన కుమారులెవరనగా బెనో షోహము జక్కూరు ఇబ్రీ.

27. The sons of Merari from Jaaziah: Beno, Shoham, Zaccur, and Ibri.

28. From Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.

29. కీషు ఇంటివాడు అనగా కీషు కుమారుడు యెరహ్మెయేలు.

29. From Kish: Jerahmeel, the son of Kish.

30. మూషి కుమారులు మహలి ఏదెరు యెరీమోతు, వీరు తమ పితరుల యిండ్లనుబట్టి లేవీ యులు.

30. And from the sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the Levites by their families.

31. వీరును తమ సహోదరులైన అహరోను సంతతివారు చేసినట్లు రాజైన దావీదు ఎదుటను సాదోకు అహీమెలెకు అను యాజకులలోను లేవీయులలోను పితరుల యిండ్ల పెద్దలయెదుటను తమలోనుండు పితరుల యింటి పెద్దలకును తమ చిన్న సహోదరులకును చీట్లు వేసికొనిరి.

31. They also cast lots, the same as their kindred the sons of Aaron had done, in the presence of David the king, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the leaders of the priestly and Levitical families. The families of the oldest and youngest brothers were treated the same.
