1. జనసంఖ్యనుబట్టి ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పితరుల యింటి . పెద్దలు సహస్రాధిపతులు శతాధిపతులు అనువారి లెక్కనుగూర్చినది, అనగా ఏర్పాటైన వంతుల విషయములో ఏటేట నెలవంతున రాజునకు సేవచేసినవారిని గూర్చినది. వీరి సంఖ్య యిరువది నాలుగు వేలు.

1. Now the sons of Israel after their number, who were chief fathers and captains of thousands and hundreds, and their officers that served the king in any matter of the courses, who came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year, each course [was] of twenty-four thousand.

2. మొదటి నెలను మొదటి భాగముమీద జబ్దీయేలు కుమారుడైన యాషాబాము అధిపతిగా ఉండెను; వాని భాగములో ఇరువది నాలుగు వేల మంది యుండిరి.

2. Over the first course for the first month [was] Jashobeam, the son of Zabdiel, and in his course [were] twenty-four thousand.

3. పెరెజు సంతతి వారిలో ఒకడు మొదటి నెల సైన్యాధిపతులకందరికి అధిపతిగా ఉండెను.

3. Of the sons of Perez [was] the chief of all the captains of the host for the first month.

4. రెండవ నెల వంతు అహోహీయుడైన దోదైదియు అతని భాగపువారిదియు ఆయెను; అతని భాగమందు మిక్లోతు అధిపతిగా ఉండెను; అతని భాగములో చేరినవారు ఇరువది నాలుగు వేలమంది.

4. And over the course of the second month [was] Dodai, an Ahohite, and in his course [was] prince Mikloth; in his course likewise [were] twenty-four thousand.

5. మూడవ నెలను యెహోయాదా కుమారుడును సభాముఖ్యుడునగు బెనాయా అధిపతిగా ఉండెను; అతని భాగములో చేరినవారు ఇరువది నాలుగు వేలమంది.

5. The third captain of the host for the third month [was] Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, a chief priest: and in his course [were] twenty-four thousand.

6. ఈ బెనాయా ఆ ముప్పదిమంది పరాక్రమశాలులలో ఒకడై ఆ ముప్పది మందికి అధిపతియై యుండెను; అతని భాగమందు అతని కుమారుడైన అమీ్మజాబాదు ఉండెను.

6. This [is that] Benaiah, [who was] mighty [among] the thirty, and above the thirty; and in his course [was] Ammizabad, his son.

7. నాలుగవనెలను యోవాబు సహోదరుడైన అశాహేలు నాలుగవ అధిపతిగా ఉండెను; అతని కుమారుడైన జెబద్యా అతని తరువాత అధిపతియాయెను, అతని భాగములో చేరినవారు ఇరువది నాలుగు వేలమంది.

7. The fourth for the fourth month [was] Asahel, the brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after him; and in his course [were] twenty-four thousand.

8. అయిదవ నెలను ఇశ్రాహే తీయుడైన షవ్హుూతు అధిపతిగా ఉండెను; అతని భాగములో చేరినవారు ఇరువది నాలుగు వేలమంది.

8. The fifth for the fifth month [was] prince Shamhuth, the Izrahite; and in his course [were] twenty-four thousand.

9. ఆరవ నెలను తెకోవీయుడైన ఇక్కెషునకు పుట్టిన ఈరా అధిపతిగా ఉండెను; అతని భాగములో చేరినవారు ఇరువది నాలుగు వేలమంది.

9. The sixth for the sixth month [was] Ira, the son of Ikkesh of Tekoah; and in his course [were] twenty-four thousand.

10. ఏడవ నెలను ఎఫ్రాయిము సంతతివాడును పెలోనీయుడునైన హేలెస్సు అధిపతిగా ఉండెను; అతని భాగములో చేరినవారు ఇరువది నాలుగు వేలమంది.

10. The seventh for the seventh month [was] Helez, the Pelonite, of the sons of Ephraim; and in his course [were] twenty-four thousand.

11. ఎనిమిదవ నెలను జెరహీయుల సంబంధుడునుహుషాతీయుడునైన సిబ్బెకై అధిపతిగా ఉండెను; అతని భాగములో చేరినవారు ఇరువది నాలుగు వేలమంది.

11. The eighth for the eighth month [was] Sibbecai, the Hushathite, of Zarhi; and in his course [were] twenty-four thousand.

12. తొమ్మిదవ నెలను బెన్యామీనీయుల సంబంధుడును అనాతోతీయుడునైన అబీయెజెరు అధిపతిగా ఉండెను, అతని భాగములో చేరినవారు ఇరువది నాలుగు వేలమంది.

12. The ninth for the ninth month [was] Abiezer, the Anetothite, of the Benjamites; and in his course [were] twenty-four thousand.

13. పదియవ నెలను జెరహీయుల సంబంధుడును నెటోపా తీయుడునైన మహరై అధిపతిగా ఉండెను; అతని భాగములో చేరినవారు ఇరువది నాలుగు వేలమంది.

13. The tenth for the tenth month [was] Maharai, the Netophathite of Zarhi; and in his course [were] twenty-four thousand.

14. పదకొండవ నెలను ఎఫ్రాయిము సంతతివాడును పిరాతో నీయుడునైన బెనాయా అధిపతిగా ఉండెను, అతని భాగ ములో చేరినవారు ఇరువది నాలుగు వేలమంది.

14. The eleventh for the eleventh month [was] Benaiah, the Pirathonite, of the sons of Ephraim; and in his course [were] twenty-four thousand.

15. పండ్రెండవ నెలను ఒత్నీయేలు సంబంధుడును నెటోపాతీయుడునైన హెల్దయి అధిపతిగా ఉండెను; అతని భాగములో చేరినవారు ఇరువది నాలుగు వేలమంది.

15. The twelfth for the twelfth month [was] Heldai, the Netophathite of Othniel; and in his course [were] twenty-four thousand.

16. మరియు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రములమీదనున్నవారి వివరమేదనగా, జిఖ్రీ కుమారుడైన ఎలీయెజెరు రూబే నీయులకు అధిపతిగా ఉండెను, మయకా కుమారుడైన షెపట్య షిమ్యోనీయులకు అధిపతిగా ఉండెను,

16. Presiding, likewise, over the tribes of Israel: over the Reubenites [was] prince Eliezer, the son of Zichri; over the Simeonites, Shephatiah, the son of Maachah.

17. Over the Levites, Hashabiah, the son of Kemuel. Over the Aaronites, Zadok.

18. దావీదు సహోదరులలో ఎలీహు అను ఒకడు యూదావారికి అధిపతిగా ఉండెను, మిఖాయేలు కుమారు డైన ఒమీ ఇశ్శాఖారీయులకు అధిపతిగా ఉండెను,

18. Over Judah, Elihu, [one] of the brethren of David. Over those of Issachar, Omri, the son of Michael.

19. ఓబద్యా కుమారుడైన ఇష్మయా జెబూలూనీయులకు అధి పతిగా ఉండెను, అజ్రీయేలు కుమారుడైన యెరీమోతు నఫ్తాలీయులకు అధిపతిగా ఉండెను,

19. Over those of Zebulun, Ishmaiah, the son of Obadiah. Over those of Naphtali, Jerimoth, the son of Azriel.

20. అజజ్యాహు కుమారుడైన హోషేయ ఎఫ్రాయిమీయులకు అధిపతిగా ఉండెను, మనష్షే అర్ధగోత్రపువారికి పెదాయా కుమారుడైన యోవేలు అధిపతిగా ఉండెను,

20. Over the sons of Ephraim, Hosea, the son of Azaziah. Over the half tribe of Manasseh, Joel, the son of Pedaiah.

21. గిలాదులోనున్న మనష్షే అర్ధగోత్రపువారికి జెకర్యా కుమారుడైన ఇద్దో అధిపతిగా ఉండెను, బెన్యామీనీయులకు అబ్నేరు కుమారుడైన యహశీయేలు అధిపతిగా ఉండెను,

21. Over the other half [tribe] of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo, the son of Zechariah. Over those of Benjamin, Jaasiel, the son of Abner.

22. దానీయు లకు యెరోహాము కుమారుడైన అజరేలు అధిపతిగా ఉండెను. వీరు ఇశ్రాయేలు గోత్రములకు అధిపతులు.

22. And over Dan, Azareel, the son of Jeroham. These [were] the princes of the tribes of Israel.

23. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను ఆకాశ నక్షత్రములంతమందిగా చేయుదునని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చియుండెను గనుక ఇరువదియేండ్లు మొదలుకొని అంతకు తక్కువ వయస్సు గలవారిని దావీదు జనసంఖ్యయందు చేర్చలేదు.

23. But David did not number those twenty years old and under because the LORD had said he would multiply Israel like to the stars of the heavens.

24. జన సంఖ్యచేయు విషయమున ఇశ్రాయేలీయులమీదికి కోపము వచ్చినందున సెరూయా కుమారుడైన యోవాబు దాని చేయనారంభించెనే గాని దాని ముగింపకపోయెను; కాబట్టి జనసంఖ్య మొత్తము దావీదు రాజు వృత్తాంత గ్రంథములలో చేర్చబడలేదు.

24. Joab, the son of Zeruiah, had begun to number, but he did not finish; and because of this, wrath fell upon Israel; and [thus] the number was not put in the account of the chronicles of King David.

25. And Azmaveth, the son of Adiel, had charge of the king's treasures and of the treasures of the fields, of the cities, and of the villages, and of the castles, [was] Jehonathan, the son of Uzziah;

26. పొలములో పనిచేయువారిమీదను, భూమిదున్ను వారిమీదను కెలూబు కుమారుడైన ఎజ్రీ నియమింప బడెను.

26. and over those that did the work of the tillage of the ground in the fields [was] Ezri the son of Chelub;

27. ద్రాక్షతోటలమీద రామాతీయుడైన షిమీయు, ద్రాక్షతోటల ఆదాయమైన ద్రాక్షారసము నిలువచేయు కొట్లమీద షిష్మీయుడైన జబ్దియు నియమింపబడిరి.

27. and over the vineyards [was] Shimei, the Ramathite; over the increase of the vineyards for the wine cellars [was] Zabdi, the Shiphmite;

28. షెఫేలా ప్రదేశముననుండు ఒలీవ చెట్లమీదను మేడిచెట్లమీదను గెదేరీయుడైన బయల్‌ హనాను నియమింపబడెను; నూనె కొట్లమీద యోవాషు నియమింపబడెను.

28. and over the olive trees and the sycamore trees that [were] in the low plains [was] Baalhanan, the Gederite; and over the cellars of oil, Joash;

29. షారోనులో మేయు పశువులమీద షారోనీయుడైన షిట్రయియు, లోయలలోని పశువులమీద అద్లయి కుమారుడైన షాపాతును నియమింపబడిరి.

29. and over the cows that fed in Sharon [was] Shitrai, the Sharonite; and over the cows [that were] in the valleys [was] Shaphat, the son of Adlai;

30. ఒంటెలమీద ఇష్మాయేలీయుడైన ఓబీలును, గాడిదలమీద మేరోనోతీ యుడైన యెహెద్యాహును నియమింపబడిరి.

30. over the camels, Obil, the Ishmaelite; and over the asses, Jehdeiah, the Meronothite;

31. గొఱ్ఱెల మీద హగ్రీయుడైన యాజీజు నియమింపబడెను. వీరందరు దావీదు రాజుకున్న ఆస్తిమీద నియమింపబడిన యధిపతులు.

31. and over the sheep [was] Jaziz, the Hagerite. All these [were] the princes of the substance which [was] King David's.

32. దావీదు పినతండ్రియైన యోనాతాను వివేకముగల ఆలోచనకర్తయై యుండెను గనుక అతడు శాస్త్రిగా నియమింపబడెను, హక్మోనీ కుమారుడైన యెహీయేలు రాజు కుమారులయొద్ద ఉండుటకు నియమింపబడెను.

32. And Jonathan, David's uncle, was a counsellor, a wise man, and a scribe; and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni had charge of the king's sons.

33. అహీతోపెలు రాజునకు మంత్రి, అర్కీయుడైన హూషై రాజునకు తోడు.

33. Ahithophel [was] the king's counsellor; and Hushai, the Archite, [was] the king's companion.

34. అహీతోపెలు చనిపోయినమీదట బెనాయా కుమారుడైన యెహోయాదాయును అబ్యా తారును మంత్రులైరి; యోవాబు రాజుయొక్క సేనకు అధిపతిగా నియమింపబడెను.

34. And after Ahithophel [was] Jehoiada, the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar. And Joab was the general of the king's army.:
