1. దావీదు కుమారుడైన సొలొమోను తన రాజ్యమందు స్థిరపరచబడగా అతని దేవుడైన యెహోవా అతనితో కూడ ఉండి అతనిని బహు ఘనుడైన రాజునుగా చేసెను.

1. Shlomo the son of David grew stronger in his rulership; ADONAI his God was with him, making him greater and greater.

2. యెహోవా సేవకుడైన మోషే అరణ్యమందు చేయించిన దేవుని సమాజపు గుడారము గిబియోనునందుండెను గనుక

2. Shlomo spoke to all Isra'el- to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, to the judges and to every leader in all Isra'el, the heads of clans.

3. సొలొమోను సహస్రాధిపతులకును శతాధిపతులకును న్యాయాధిపతులకును ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పితరుల యిండ్లకు పెద్దలైనవారి కందరికిని, అనగా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకందరికిని ఆజ్ఞ ఇయ్యగా సమాజకులందరును

3. Shlomo and the whole community with him went to the high place at Giv'on, because in that place was God's tent of meeting, which Moshe the servant of ADONAI had made in the desert.

4. సొలొమోనుతో కూడ కలసి గిబియోనునందుండు బలిపీఠము నొద్దకు పోయిరి; దావీదు దేవుని మందసమును కిర్యత్యారీమునుండి తెప్పించి యెరూషలేమునందు దానికొరకు గుడారమువేసి తాను సిద్ధపరచిన స్థలమున నుంచెను.

4. But the ark of God David had brought up from Kiryat-Ye'arim to the place he had prepared for it- he had set up a tent for it in Yerushalayim.

5. హూరు కుమారుడైన ఊరికి పుట్టిన బెసలేలు చేసిన యిత్తడి బలిపీఠము అక్కడ యెహోవా నివాసస్థలము ఎదుట ఉండగా సొలొమోనును సమాజపువారును దానియొద్ద విచారణ చేసిరి.

5. The bronze altar crafted by B'tzal'el the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had been placed before the tabernacle of ADONAI; and there Shlomo and the community consulted him.

6. సమాజపు గుడారము ముందర యెహోవా సన్నిధినుండి ఇత్తడి బలిపీఠము నొద్దకు సొలొమోను పోయి దానిమీద వెయ్యి దహనబలులను అర్పించెను.

6. On the bronze altar at the tent of meeting Shlomo offered a thousand burnt offerings before ADONAI.

7. ఆ రాత్రియందు దేవుడు సొలొమోనునకు ప్రత్యక్షమైనేను నీకు ఏమి ఇయ్యగోరుదువో దాని అడుగుమని సెలవియ్యగా

7. That night God appeared to Shlomo and said to him, 'Tell me what I should give you.'

8. సొలొమోను దేవునితో ఈలాగు మనవిచేసెనునీవు నా తండ్రియైన దావీదుయెడల బహుగా కృప చూపి అతని స్థానమందు నన్ను రాజుగా నియమించి యున్నావు గనుక

8. Shlomo said to God, 'You showed much grace to your servant David my father and have made me king in his place.

9. దేవా యెహోవా, నీవు నా తండ్రియైన దావీదునకు చేసిన వాగ్దానమును స్థిరపరచుము; నేల ధూళియంత విస్తారమైన జనులమీద నీవు నన్ను రాజుగా నియమించియున్నావు

9. Now, ADONAI, God, you have been faithful to your promise to David my father; for you have made me king over a people as numerous as the grains of dust on the earth.

10. ఈ నీ గొప్ప జనమునకు న్యాయము తీర్చ శక్తిగలవాడెవడు? నేను ఈ జనులమధ్యను ఉండి కార్యములను చక్కపెట్టునట్లు తగిన జ్ఞానమును తెలివిని నాకు దయచేయుము.

10. So now, give me wisdom and knowledge; so that I will be able to lead this people. For who is equal to judging this great people of yours?'

11. అందుకు దేవుడు సొలొమోనుతో ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెనునీవు ఈ ప్రకారము యోచించు కొని, ఐశ్వర్యమునైనను సొమ్మునైనను ఘనతనైనను నీ శత్రువుల ప్రాణమునైనను దీర్ఘాయువునైనను అడుగక, నేను నిన్ను వారిమీద రాజుగా నియమించిన నా జనులకు న్యాయము తీర్చుటకు తగిన జ్ఞానమును తెలివిని అడిగి యున్నావు.

11. God said to Shlomo, 'Because you set your heart on this- because, instead of asking for riches, wealth, honor, the death of those who hate you, or long life, you asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself, so that you would be able to judge my people, over whom I made you king-

12. కాబట్టి జ్ఞానమును తెలివియు నీ కియ్య బడును, నీకన్న ముందుగానున్న రాజులకైనను నీ తరువాత వచ్చు రాజులకైనను కలుగని ఐశ్వర్యమును సొమ్మును ఘనతను నీకిచ్చెదను అని చెప్పెను.

12. not only are wisdom and knowledge being given to you, but I will also give you riches, wealth and honor such as no king before you has ever had; and no king after you will have as much.'

13. పిమ్మట సొలొమోను గిబియోనులోనుండు సమాజపు గుడారము ఎదుటనున్న బలిపీఠమును విడచి యెరూషలేమునకు వచ్చి ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులను ఏలుచుండెను.

13. So Shlomo came away from the high place at Giv'on, from in front of the tent of meeting, to Yerushalayim; and he ruled over Isra'el.

14. సొలొమోను రథములను గుఱ్ఱపు రౌతులను సమ కూర్చెను, వెయ్యిన్ని నాలుగువందలు రథములును పండ్రెండు వేల గుఱ్ఱపు రౌతులును అతనికి ఉండెను; వీరిలో కొందరిని అతడు రథములుండు పట్టణములలో ఉంచెను, కొందరిని తన రాజసన్నిధిని ఉండుటకు యెరూషలేములో ఉంచెను.

14. Shlomo amassed chariots and horsemen; he had 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horsemen; he placed them in the chariot cities and with the king in Yerushalayim.

15. రాజు యెరూషలేమునందు వెండి బంగారములను రాళ్లంత విస్తారముగాను, సరళ మ్రానులను షెఫేల ప్రదేశముననున్న మేడిచెట్లంత విస్తారముగాను సమకూర్చెను.

15. The king made silver and gold in Yerushalayim as common as stones, and he made cedars as abundant as sycamore-fig trees in the Sh'felah.

16. సొలొమోనునకుండు గుఱ్ఱములు ఐగుప్తులోనుండి తేబడెను, రాజు వర్తకులు ఒక్కొక్క గుంపునకు నియామకమైన ధర నిచ్చి గుంపులు గుంపులుగా కొని తెప్పించిరి.

16. Shlomo's horses had been brought from Egypt and from Keve, with the king's agents having bought them from the dealers in Keve at the going price.

17. వారు ఐగుప్తునుండి కొని తెచ్చిన రథమొకటింటికి ఆరువందల తులముల వెండియు గుఱ్ఱమొకటింటికి నూటఏబది తులముల వెండియు నిచ్చిరి; హిత్తీయుల రాజులందరికొరకును సిరియా రాజులకొరకును వారు ఆ ధరకే వాటిని తీసికొనిరి.

17. A chariot brought from Egypt cost fifteen pounds of silver [shekel]s and a horse three-and-three quarters pounds [[of [shekel]s]]; all the kings of the Hittim and the kings of Aram purchased them at these prices through Shlomo's agents.
