1. అంతట ఏడవ సంవత్సరమందు యెహోయాదా ధైర్యము తెచ్చుకొని, శతాధిపతులతోను యెరోహాము కుమారుడైన అజర్యాతోను యెహోహానాను కుమారుడైన ఇష్మాయేలుతోను ఓబేదు కుమారుడైన అజర్యాతోను అదాయాకుమారుడైన మయశేయాతోను జిఖ్రీ కుమారుడైన ఎలీషాపాతుతోను నిబంధనచేయగా

1. In the seventh year Y'hoyada took courage and formed a conspiracy with certain captains of hundred-man platoons- 'Azaryah the son of Yerocham, Yishma'el the son of Y'hochanan, 'Azaryah the son of 'Oved, Ma'aseiyahu the son of 'Adayahu and Elishafat the son of Zikhri.

2. వారు యూదా దేశమందంతటను సంచరించి, యూదావారి పట్టణము లన్నిటిలోనుండి లేవీయులను ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పితరుల యిండ్ల పెద్దలను సమకూర్చి యెరూషలేమునకు తోడుకొని వచ్చిరి.

2. They canvassed Y'hudah and gathered the [L'vi'im] from all the cities of Y'hudah, together with the clan heads of Isra'el, and came to Yerushalayim.

3. జనులందరు సమాజముగా కూడి దేవుని మందిరములో రాజుతో నిబంధన చేసికొనినప్పుడు అతడు వారితో ఇట్లనెను - యెహోవా దావీదు కుమారులను గూర్చి యిచ్చిన సెలవుచొప్పున రాజకుమారుడు రాజ్య మేలవలెను.

3. The whole assembly made an agreement with the king in the house of God. [[Y'hoyada]] addressed them: 'Here! The king's son will reign, as ADONAI said in regard to the descendants of David!

4. కాబట్టి మీరు చేయవలసిన దేమనగా, మీలో యాజకులైనవారేమి లేవీయులైనవారేమి విశ్రాంతి దినమున లోపల ప్రవేశించువారు మూడు భాగములై, యొక భాగము ద్వారపాలకులుగా ఉండవలెను.

4. Here is what you are to do: of you [cohanim] and [L'vi'im] who come on duty on [Shabbat], a third are to guard the gates,

5. ఒక భాగము రాజనగరునొద్ద ఉండవలెను. ఒక భాగము పునాది గుమ్మము నొద్ద ఉండవలెను, జనులందరు యెహోవా మందిరపు ఆవరణములలో ఉండవలెను.

5. a third the royal palace and a third the Gate of the Foundation; while all the people are to remain in the courtyards of the house of [ADONAI.]

6. యాజకులును లేవీయులలో పరిచారము చేయువారును తప్ప యెహోవా మందిరము లోపలికి మరి ఎవరును రాకూడదు, వారు ప్రతిష్ఠింపబడిన వారు గనుక వారు లోపలికి రావచ్చునుగాని జనులందరు యెహోవా ఇచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞచొప్పున బయట ఉండవలెను.

6. No one is to enter the house of ADONAI except the [cohanim] and those [L'vi'im] who are actually performing the service. These may enter, because they are holy; but all the people are to observe ADONAI's order.

7. లేవీయులందరు తమ తమ ఆయుధములను చేతపట్టుకొని రాజుచుట్టును ఉండవలెను, మందిరము లోపలికి మరి ఎవరైనను వచ్చినయెడల ఆ వచ్చినవారికి మరణశిక్ష విధించుడి; రాజు లోపలికి వచ్చినప్పుడేమి బయటికి వెళ్లు నప్పుడేమి మీరు అతనితోకూడ ఉండవలెను.

7. The [L'vi'im] are to surround the king, each man with his weapons in his hand. Anyone who enters the house is to be killed. Stay with the king whenever he enters or leaves.'

8. కాబట్టి లేవీయులును యూదావారందరును యాజకుడైన యెహో యాదా ఆజ్ఞ యంతటి ప్రకారము చేసిరి; యాజకుడైన యెహోయాదా వంతులవారికి సెలవియ్యలేదు గనుక ప్రతి వాడు విశ్రాంతిదినమున బయటికి వెళ్ల వలసిన తనవారిని ఆ దినమున లోపలికి రావలసిన తనవారిని తీసికొనివచ్చెను.

8. The [L'vi'im] and all Y'hudah did exactly as Y'hoyada the [cohen] ordered. Each took his men, those coming on duty on [Shabbat] and those going off duty on [Shabbat] (for Y'hoyada the [cohen] did not dismiss the divisions).

9. మరియు యాజకుడైన యెహోయాదా దేవుని మందిర మందు రాజైన దావీదు ఉంచిన బల్లెములను కేడెములను డాళ్లను శతాధిపతులకు అప్పగించెను.

9. Y'hoyada the [cohen] issued to the captains of hundreds the spears and the large and small shields that had been King David's and were kept in the house of God.

10. అతడు ఆయుధము చేత పట్టుకొనిన జనులందరిని మందిరపు కుడివైపునుండి యెడమవైపువరకు బలిపీఠము ప్రక్కను మందిరముప్రక్కను రాజుచుట్టును ఉంచెను.

10. He then positioned all the people, each man with his weapon in his hand, from the right side of the house to the left side of the house, alongside the altar, alongside [[the exterior of]] the house and around the king.

11. అప్పుడు వారు రాజకుమారుని బయటికి తోడుకొని వచ్చి, అతనిమీద కిరీటముంచి, ధర్మ శాస్త్ర గ్రంథమును అతని చేతికిచ్చి అతనికి పట్టాభిషేకము చేసిరి; యెహోయాదాయును అతని కుమారులును అతనిని అభిషేకించిరాజు చిరంజీవియగునుగాక యనిరి.

11. Then they brought out the king's son, crowned him, gave him [[a copy of]] the testimony and thus made him king. Y'hoyada and his sons anointed him, and they shouted, 'Long live the king!'

12. పరుగులెత్తుచు రాజును కొనియాడుచు ఉన్న జనులు చేయు ధ్వని అతల్యా విని యెహోవా మందిరమందున్న జనులయొద్దకు వచ్చి

12. When 'Atalyah heard the sound of the people running and praising the king, she entered the house of ADONAI where the people were,

13. ప్రవేశస్థలముదగ్గర నున్న అతనికి ఏర్పాటైన స్తంభమునొద్ద రాజు నిలువబడియుండుటయు, అధిపతులును బూరలు ఊదువారును రాజునొద్దనుండుటయు, దేశపు జనులందరును సంతోషించుచు బూరలతో నాదములు చేయుచుండుటయు, గాయకులును వాద్యములతో స్తుతిపాటలు పాడుచుండుటయు చూచి వస్త్రములు చింపుకొనిద్రోహము ద్రోహమని అరచెను.

13. looked and saw the king standing there on his platform at the entrance, with the leaders and trumpeters next to the king. All the people of the land were celebrating and blowing the trumpets; while the singers with their musical instruments were leading songs of praise. At this, 'Atalyah tore her clothes and cried, 'Treason! Treason!'

14. అప్పుడు యాజకుడైన యెహోయాదాయెహోవా మందిరములో ఆమెను చంపవలదు, ఆమెను పంక్తుల అవతలకు వెళ్లవేసి ఆమె పక్షము పూనువారిని కత్తిచేత చంపుడని సైన్యముమీదనున్న శతాధిపతులకు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను.

14. Y'hoyada the [cohen] brought out the captains of hundreds who were in charge of the army and said to them, 'Escort her out past the ranks [[of guards]]; but anyone who follows her, let him be put to the sword.' For the [cohen] had said, 'Do not put her to death in the house of ADONAI.'

15. కాబట్టి వారు ఆమెకు దారియిచ్చి, రాజనగరునొద్దనున్న గుఱ్ఱపు గుమ్మముయొక్క ప్రవేశస్థలమునకు ఆమె వచ్చి నప్పుడు వారు ఆమెను అక్కడ చంపివేసిరి.

15. So they took her by force and led her by the horses' entry to the king's palace, and there they put her to death.

16. అప్పుడు యెహోయాదా జనులందరు యెహోవావారై యుండవలెనని జనులందరితోను రాజుతోను నిబంధనచేసెను.

16. Y'hoyada made a covenant between himself, all the people and the king, that they would be ADONAI's people.

17. అంతట జనులందరును బయలు దేవతయొక్క గుడికి పోయి దాని పడగొట్టి, బలిపీఠములను విగ్రహములను తుత్తునియలుగా విరుగగొట్టి, బయలు యాజకుడైన మత్తానును బలిపీఠముల ముందర చంపిరి.

17. Then all the people went to the house of Ba'al and broke it down; they smashed his altars and images and killed Mattan the priest of Ba'al in front of the altars.

18. మరియు మోషే యిచ్చిన ధర్మశాస్త్ర మందు వ్రాయబడినదానినిబట్టి ఉత్సాహముతోను గానముతోను యెహోవాకు అర్పింపవలసిన దహనబలులను దావీదు నియమించిన ప్రకారముగా అర్పించునట్లు, లేవీయులైన యాజకుల చేతిక్రింద నుండునట్టియు, యెహోవా మందిర మందు దావీదు పనులు పంచివేసినట్టియునైన యెహోవా మందిరపు కావలివారికి యెహోయాదా నిర్ణయించెను.

18. Y'hoyada appointed officers for the house of ADONAI under the supervision of the [cohanim] and [L'vi'im], whom David had assigned turns of duty in the house of ADONAI, to offer the burnt offerings of ADONAI, as written in the [Torah] of Moshe, with rejoicing and singing in keeping with David's orders.

19. యెహోవా మందిరములోనికి దేనిచేతనైనను అంటుతగిలిన వారు ప్రవేశింపకుండునట్లు అతడు ద్వారములయొద్ద ద్వార పాలకులను ఉంచెను.

19. He stationed guards at the gates of the house of ADONAI, so that no one who was unclean in any respect could enter.

20. మరియు అతడు శతాధిపతులను ప్రధానులను జనుల అధికారులను దేశపు జనులనందరిని వెంటబెట్టుకొని యెహోవా మందిరములోనుండి రాజును తోడుకొని వచ్చెను; వారు ఎత్తయిన ద్వారముగుండ రాజనగరుచొచ్చి రాజ్యసింహాసనముమీద రాజును ఆసీనుని చేయగా

20. He took the captains of hundreds, the men of rank, the rulers of the people and all the people of the land; and they brought the king down from the house of ADONAI, going through the Upper Gate to the royal palace, and seated the king on the royal throne.

21. దేశజనులందరు సంతోషించిరి. వారు అతల్యాను చంపిన తరువాత పట్టణము నెమ్మదిగా ఉండెను.

21. All the people of the land celebrated, and at last the city was quiet. That is how they killed 'Atalyah with the sword.
