1. తరువాత సొలొమోను యెరూషలేములో తన తండ్రి యైన దావీదునకు యెహోవా ప్రత్యక్షమైనప్పుడు మోరీయా పర్వతమందు దావీదు సిద్ధపరచిన స్థలమున యెబూసీయుడైన ఒర్నాను కళ్లమందు దావీదు ఏర్పరచిన స్థలమున యెహోవాకు ఒక మందిరమును కట్టనారం భించెను.

1. Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in the Mount Moriah which had been shown unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan, the Jebusite.

2. తన యేలుబడిలో నాలుగవ సంవత్సరము రెండవ నెల రెండవ దినమందు దాని కట్టనారంభించెను.

2. And he began to build in the second [day] of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.

3. దేవుని మందిరమునకు సొలొమోను పునాదులు ఏర్పరచెను, పూర్వపు కొలల ప్రకారము పొడవు అరువది మూరలు, వెడల్పు ఇరువది మూరలు.

3. Now these [are the measurements on which] Solomon founded the building of the house of God. The first measurement was the length of sixty cubits and the breadth of twenty cubits.

4. మందిరపు ముఖమంటపము మందిరపు పొడుగునుబట్టి యిరువది మూరలు వెడల్పు, నూట ఇరువది మూరలు ఎత్తు, దాని లోపలిభాగమును ప్రసశ్తమైన బంగారముతో అతడు పొదిగించెను.

4. And the porch that [was] in the front of the length was of twenty cubits, according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height [was] one hundred and twenty; and he overlaid it within with pure gold.

5. మందిరపు పెద్ద గదిని దేవదారుపలకలతో కప్పి వాటిపైన మేలిమి బంగారమును పొదిగించి పైభాగమున ఖర్జూరపుచెట్లవంటి పనియు గొలుసులవంటి పనియు చెక్కించి

5. And the greater house he covered with fir wood, which he overlaid with fine gold, and set thereon palm trees and chains.

6. ప్రశస్తమైన రత్నములతో దానిని అలంకరించెను. ఆ బంగారము పర్వయీమునుండి వచ్చినది.

6. And he [also] covered the house with precious stones for beauty, and the gold [was] gold of Parvaim.

7. మందిరపు దూలములను స్తంభములను దాని గోడలను దాని తలుపులను బంగారముతో పొదిగించి గోడలమీద కెరూబులను చెక్కించెను.

7. Thus did he cover the house, its beams, its posts, its walls, and its doors, with gold and engraved cherubim on the walls.

8. మరియు అతడు పరిశుద్ధ స్థలమొకటి కట్టించెను; దాని పొడవు మందిరపు వెడల్పును బట్టి యిరువది మూరలు, దాని వెడల్పు ఇరువది మూరలు, వెయ్యిన్ని రెండు వందల మణుగుల మేలిమి బంగారుతో అతడు దాని పొదిగించెను.

8. And he made the house of the holy of holies, its length was twenty cubits, according to the breadth of the house, and its breadth was twenty cubits, and he covered it with fine gold, [amounting] to six hundred talents.

9. మేకుల యెత్తు ఏబది తులముల బంగారు; మీదిగదులను బంగారముతో పొదిగించెను.

9. And the weight of the nails [was] fifty shekels of gold. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold.

10. అతిపరిశుద్ధ స్థలమునందు చెక్కడపు పనిగల రెండు కెరూబులను చేయించి వాటిని బంగారుతో పొదిగించెను.

10. And inside the house of the holy of holies he made two cherubim of figured work and overlaid them with gold.

11. ఆ కెరూబుల రెక్కల పొడవు ఇరువది మూరలు,

11. And the wings of the cherubim [were] twenty cubits long; one wing [of the one cherub was] five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing [was likewise] five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.

12. ఒక్కొక్క రెక్క అయిదు మూరల పొడుగు, అది మందిరపు గోడకు తగులుచుండెను, రెండవది జతగానున్న కెరూబు రెక్కకు తగులుచుండెను.

12. And [one] wing of the other cherub [was] five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing [was] five cubits [also], joining to the wing of the other cherub.

13. ఈ ప్రకారము చాచుకొనిన ఈ కెరూబుల రెక్కలు ఇరువది మూరలు వ్యాపించెను, కెరూబులు పాదములమీద నిలువబడెను, వాటి ముఖములు మందిరపు లోతట్టు తిరిగి యుండెను.

13. The wings of these cherubim spread themselves forth twenty cubits, and they stood on their feet, and their faces [were] inward.

14. అతడు నీలి నూలుతోను ఊదా నూలుతోను ఎఱ్ఱ నూలుతోను సన్నపు నారనూలుతోను ఒక తెరను చేయించి దానిమీద కెరూబులను కుట్టించెను.

14. And he made the veil [of] blue and purple and crimson and fine linen and wrought cherubim thereon.

15. ఇదియు గాక మందిరము ముందర ఉండుటకై ముప్పదియయిదు మూరల యెత్తుగల రెండు స్తంభములను వాటిమీదికి అయిదు మూరల యెత్తుగల పీటలను చేయించెను.

15. Also he made in front of the house two pillars of thirty-five cubits high, and the chapiter that [was] on the top of each of them [was] five cubits.

16. గర్భాలయము నందు చేసినట్టు గొలుసు పని చేయించి, స్తంభముల పైభాగమున దాని ఉంచి, నూరు దానిమ్మపండ్లను చేయించి ఆ గొలుసు పనిమీద తగిలించెను.

16. And he made chains, [as] in the oracle, and put [them] on the heads of the pillars and made one hundred pomegranates and put [them] on the chains.

17. ఆ రెండు స్థంభములను దేవాలయము ఎదుట కుడితట్టున ఒకటియు ఎడమతట్టున ఒకటియు నిలువబెట్టించి, కుడితట్టు దానికి యాకీను అనియు, ఎడమతట్టు దానికి బోయజు అనియు పేళ్లు పెట్టెను.

17. And he reared up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand and the other on the left, and called the name of the one on the right hand Jachin, and the name of the one on the left Boaz.:
