1. మరియు యోషీయా యెరూషలేమునందు యెహో వాకు పస్కాపండుగ ఆచరించెను. మొదటి నెల పదునాల్గవ దినమున జనులు పస్కాపశువును వధించిరి.

1. And Josiah kept a Passover to the Lord his God; and sacrificed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.

2. అతడు యాజకులను వారి వారి పనులకు నిర్ణయించి, యెహోవా మందిరసేవను జరిగించుటకై వారిని ధైర్యపరచి

2. And he appointed the priests at their charges, and encouraged them for the services of the house of the Lord.

3. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకందరికి బోధ చేయువారును యెహోవాకు ప్రతిష్ఠితులునైన లేవీయులకు ఈలాగు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెనుపరిశుద్ధమైన మందసమును మీరిక మీ భుజముల మీద మోయక, ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల రాజైన దావీదు కుమారుడగు సొలొమోను కట్టించిన మందిరములో దాని నుంచుడి, మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకును ఆయన జనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకును సేవ జరిగించుడి.

3. And he told the Levites that were able [to act] in all Israel, that they should consecrate themselves to the Lord. And they put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel built. And the king said, You must not carry anything on your shoulders; now then minister to the Lord your God, and to His people Israel.

4. ఇశ్రాయేలీ యుల రాజైన దావీదు వ్రాసియిచ్చిన క్రమముచొప్పునను అతని కుమారుడైన సొలొమోను వ్రాసి ఇచ్చిన క్రమము చొప్పునను మీ మీ పితరుల యిండ్లకు ఏర్పాటైన వరుసలనుబట్టి మిమ్మును సిద్ధపరచుకొనుడి.

4. And prepare yourselves according to the houses of your families, and according to your daily courses, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and [the order] by the hand of his son Solomon.

5. జనుల ఆ యా భాగములకు లేవీయులకు కుటుంబములలో ఆ యా భాగములు ఏర్పాటగునట్లుగా మీరు పరిశుద్ధ స్థలమందు నిలిచి, వారి వారి పితరుల కుటుంబముల వరుసలను బట్టి జనులైన మీ సహోదరులకొరకు సేవచేయుడి.

5. And stand in the house according to the divisions of the houses of your families for your brethren the sons of the people; [so] also let there be for the Levites a division of the house of their family.

6. ఆప్రకారము పస్కా పశువును వధించి మిమ్మును ప్రతి ష్ఠించుకొని, మోషేద్వారా యెహోవా యిచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞలను అనుసరించి, దానిని మీ సహోదరులకొరకు సిద్ధపరచుడి.

6. And kill the Passover [lamb], and prepare [it] for your brethren, to do according to the word of the Lord, by the hand of Moses.

7. మరియు యోషీయా తన స్వంత మందలో ముప్పది వేల గొఱ్ఱెపిల్లలను మేకపిల్లలను మూడువేల కోడెలను అక్కడ నున్న జనులకందరికి పస్కాపశువులుగా ఇచ్చెను.

7. And Josiah gave as an offering to the children of the people, sheep, lambs, and kids of the young of the goats, all for the Passover, [even for] all that were found, in number [amounting to] thirty thousand, and three thousand calves, these [were] of the substance of the king.

8. అతని అధిపతులును జనులకును యాజకులకును లేవీయుల కును మనః పూర్వకముగా పశువులు ఇచ్చిరి. యెహోవా మంది రపు అధికారులైన హిల్కీయాయు, జెకర్యాయు, యెహీయేలును పస్కాపశువులుగా యాజకులకు రెండువేల ఆరువందల గొఱ్ఱెలను మూడువందల కోడెలను ఇచ్చిరి.

8. And his princes gave an offering to the people, and to the priests, and to the Levites: and Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel the chief men gave to the priests of the house of God, they even gave for the Passover sheep, lambs, and kids, two thousand six hundred, and three hundred calves.

9. కొనన్యాయు, అతని సహోదరులైన షెమయాయు, నెత నేలును, లేవీయులలో నధిపతులగు హషబ్యాయు, యెహీ యేలును యోజాబాదును పస్కాపశువులుగా లేవీయులకు అయిదువేల గొఱ్ఱెలను ఐదువందల కోడెలను ఇచ్చిరి.

9. And Conaniah, Benaiah, Shemaiah, Nethaneel his brother, Hashabiah, Jeiel, and Jozabad, heads of the Levites, gave an offering to the Levites for the Passover, of five thousand sheep and five hundred calves.

10. ఈ ప్రకారము సేవ జరుగుచుండగా రాజాజ్ఞనుబట్టి యాజకులు తమ స్థలములోను లేవీయులు తమ వరుసలలోను నిలువబడిరి.

10. And the service was duly ordered, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their divisions, according to the command of the king.

11. లేవీయులు పస్కాపశువులను వధించి రక్తమును యాజకుల కియ్యగా వారు దాని ప్రోక్షించిరి. లేవీయులు పశువులను ఒలువగా

11. And they killed the Passover [offerings], and the priests sprinkled the blood from their hand, and the Levites skinned [the animals].

12. మోషే గ్రంథములో వ్రాయబడిన ప్రకారము జనుల కుటుంబముల విభాగము చొప్పున యెహోవాకు అర్పణగా ఇచ్చుటకు దహనబలి పశుమాంసమును యాజకులు తీసికొనిరి.

12. And they prepared the whole burnt offering to give to them, according to the division by the houses of families, [even] to the sons of the people, to offer to the Lord, as it is written in the Book of Moses.

13. వారు ఎడ్లనుకూడ ఆ ప్రకారముగానే చేసిరి. వారు విధిప్రకారము పస్కాపశు మాంసమును నిప్పుమీద కాల్చిరిగాని యితరమైన ప్రతిష్ఠార్పణలను కుండలలోను బొరుసులలోను పెనములలోను ఉడికించి జనులకందరికి త్వరగా వడ్డించిరి.

13. And thus [they did] till the morning. And they roasted the Passover with fire according to the ordinance; and boiled the holy [pieces] in copper vessels and caldrons, and [the feast] went on well, and they quickly served all the children of the people.

14. తరువాత లేవీయులు తమకొరకును యాజకులకొరకును సిద్ధముచేసిరి. అహరోను సంతతివారగు యాజకులు దహనబలి పశుమాంసమును క్రొవ్వును రాత్రివరకు అర్పింపవలసివచ్చెను గనుక లేవీయులు తమ కొరకును అహరోను సంతతివారగు యాజకులకొరకును సిద్ధపరచిరి.

14. And after they had prepared for themselves and for the priests, for the priests [were engaged] in offering the whole burnt offerings and the fat until night, then the Levites prepared for themselves, and for their brethren the sons of Aaron.

15. మరియు ఆసాపు సంతతివారగు గాయకు లును, ఆసాపు హేమానులును, రాజునకు దీర్ఘదర్శియగు యెదూతూనును దావీదు నియమించిన ప్రకారముగా తమ స్థలమందుండిరి; ద్వారములన్నిటియొద్దను ద్వార పాలకులు కనిపెట్టుచుండిరి. వారు తమ చేతిలో పని విడిచి అవతలికి వెళ్లిపోకుండునట్లు వారి సహోదరులగు లేవీయులు వారికొరకు సిద్ధపరచిరి.

15. And the sons of Asaph the psalm-singers [were] at their post according to the commands of David, and Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun, the prophets of the king. Also, the chiefs and the porters of the several gates-it was not for them to stir from the service of the holy things, for their brethren the Levites prepared for them.

16. ఈ ప్రకారము రాజైన యోషీయా యిచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞనుబట్టి వారు పస్కాపండుగ ఆచరించి, యెహోవా బలిపీఠముమీద దహన బలులను అర్పించుటచేత ఆ దినమున ఏమియు లోపము లేకుండ యెహోవా సేవ జరిగెను.

16. So all the service of the Lord was duly ordered and prepared in that day, for keeping the Passover, and offering the whole burnt sacrifices on the altar of the Lord, according to the command of King Josiah.

17. అక్కడ నున్న ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు, ఆ కాలమందు పస్కాను పులియని రొట్టెల పండుగను ఏడు దినములు ఆచరించిరి.

17. And the children of Israel that were present kept the Passover at that time, and the Feast of Unleavened Bread for seven days.

18. ప్రవక్త యగు సమూయేలు దినములు మొదలుకొని ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులలో పస్కాపండుగ అంత ఘనముగా ఆచరింపబడి యుండలేదు. యోషీయాయు, యాజకులును, లేవీయు లును, అక్కడ నున్న యూదా ఇశ్రాయేలువారందరును, యెరూషలేము కాపురస్థులును ఆచరించిన ప్రకారము ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజులందరిలో ఒక్కడైనను పస్కాపండు గను ఆచరించి యుండలేదు.

18. And there was no Passover like it in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet, or any king of Israel; they kept not such a Passover as Josiah, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, kept to the Lord.

19. యోషీయా యేలుబడి యందు పదునెనిమిదవ సంవత్సరమున ఈ పస్కాపండుగ జరిగెను.

19. In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah this Passover was kept, after all these things that Josiah did in the house. And King Josiah burnt those who had in them a divining spirit, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and the sodomites which were in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, that he might confirm the words of the law that were written in the book which Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the Lord. There was no [king] like him before him, who turned to the Lord with all his heart, and all his soul, and all his strength, according to all the Law of Moses, and after him there rose up none like him. Nevertheless the Lord turned not from the anger of His fierce wrath, wherewith the Lord was greatly angry against Judah, for all the provocations in which Manasseh had provoked Him. And the Lord said, I will even remove Judah also from My presence, as I have removed Israel, and I have rejected the city which I chose, [even] Jerusalem, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there.

20. ఇదంతయు అయిన తరువాత యోషీయా మందిర మును సిద్ధపరచినప్పుడు ఐగుప్తురాజైన నెకో యూఫ్రటీసు నదియొద్దనున్న కర్కెమీషుమీదికి దండెత్తి వెళ్లుచుండగా యోషీయా అతనిమీదికి బయలు దేరెను.

20. And Pharaoh Necho king of Egypt went up against the king of the Assyrians to the River Euphrates, and King Josiah went to meet him.

21. అయితే రాజైన నెకో అతనియొద్దకు రాయ బారులను పంపి - యూదారాజా నీతో నాకేమి? పూర్వమునుండి నాకు శత్రువులగువారిమీదికేగాని నేడు నీమీదికి నేను రాలేదు. దేవుడు త్వరచేయుమని నాకు ఆజ్ఞాపించెను గనుక దేవుడు నాతోకూడ ఉండి నిన్ను నశింపజేయ కుండునట్లు ఆయన జోలికి నీవు రావద్దని చెప్ప నాజ్ఞాపించెను.

21. And he sent messengers to him, saying, What have I to do with you, O king of Judah? I have not come today to war against you; and God has told me to make haste; beware of the God that is with me, lest He destroy you.

22. అయినను యోషీయా అతనితో యుద్ధము చేయగోరి, అతనియొద్దనుండి తిరిగి పోక మారువేషము ధరించుకొని, యెహోవా నోటి మాటలుగా పలుకబడిన నెకో మాటలను వినక మెగిద్దో లోయయందు యుద్ధము చేయ వచ్చెను.

22. However, Josiah turned not his face from him, but strengthened himself to fight against him, and hearkened not to the words of Necho by the mouth of God, and he came to fight in the plain of Megiddo.

23. విలుకాండ్రురాజైన యోషీయామీద బాణములు వేయగా రాజు తన సేవకులను చూచి - నాకు గొప్ప గాయము తగిలెను, ఇక్కడనుండి నన్నుకొని పోవుడని చెప్పెను.

23. And the archers shot at King Josiah. And the king said to his servants, Take me away, for I am severely wounded.

24. కావున అతని సేవకులు రథము మీదనుండి అతని దింపి, అతనికున్న వేరు రథముమీద అతని ఉంచి యెరూషలేమునకు అతని తీసికొని వచ్చిరి. అతడు మృతిబొంది తన పితరుల సమాధులలో ఒకదాని యందు పాతిపెట్టబడెను. యూదా యెరూషలేము వారందరును యోషీయా చనిపోయెనని ప్రలాపము చేసిరి.

24. And his servants lifted him out of the chariot, and put him in the second chariot which he had, and brought him to Jerusalem. And he died, and was buried with his fathers; and all Judah and Jerusalem lamented over Josiah.

25. యిర్మీయాయు యోషీయానుగూర్చి ప్రలాప వాక్యము చేసెను, గాయకులందరును గాయకురాండ్రంద రును తమ ప్రలాపవాక్యములలో అతని గూర్చి పలికిరి; నేటివరకు యోషీయానుగూర్చి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో ఆలాగు చేయుట వాడుక ఆయెను. ప్రలాపవాక్యములలో అట్టివి వ్రాయబడియున్నవి.

25. And Jeremiah mourned over Josiah, and all the chief men and chief women uttered a lamentation over Josiah until this day. And they made it an ordinance for Israel, and behold, it is written in the lamentations.

26. యోషీయా చేసిన యితర కార్యములన్నిటిని గూర్చియు, యెహోవా ధర్మ శాస్త్రవిధుల ననుసరించి అతడు చూపిన భయభక్తులను గూర్చియు

26. And the rest of the acts of Josiah, and his hope, are written in the law of the Lord.

27. అతడు చేసిన సమస్త క్రియలను గూర్చియు ఇశ్రాయేలు యూదారాజుల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడి యున్నది.

27. And his acts, the first and the last, behold, [they are] written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
