1. అప్పుడు దేశపు జనులు యోషీయా కుమారుడైన యెహోయాహాజును స్వీకరించి యెరూషలేములో అతని తండ్రి స్థానమున అతనిని రాజుగా నియమించిరి.

1. Then the people of the land took Joachaz the son of Josias, and made him king instead of his father in Jerusalem.

2. యెహోయాహాజు ఏలనారంభించినప్పుడు ఇరువది మూడేండ్లవాడై యెరూషలేములో మూడు నెలలు ఏలెను.

2. Joachaz was three and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem.

3. ఐగుప్తురాజు యెరూషలేమునకు వచ్చి అతని తొలగించి, ఆ దేశమునకు రెండువందల మణుగుల వెండిని రెండు మణుగుల బంగారమును జుల్మానాగా నిర్ణయించి

3. And the king of Egypt came to Jerusalem, and deposed him, and condemned the land in a hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold.

4. అతని సహోదరుడైన ఎల్యాకీమును యూదామీదను యెరూషలేముమీదను రాజుగా నియమించి, అతనికి యెహోయాకీము అను మారు పేరుపెట్టెను. నెకో అతని సహోదరుడైన యెహోయాహాజును పట్టుకొని ఐగుప్తునకు తీసికొని పోయెను.

4. And he made Eliakim his brother king in his stead, over Juda and Jerusalem: and he turned his name to Joakim: but he took Joachaz with him, and carried him away into Egypt.

5. యెహోయాకీము ఏలనారంభించినప్పుడు ఇరువది యయిదేండ్లవాడై యెరూషలేములో పదకొండు సంవత్సర ములు ఏలెను. అతడు తన దేవుడైన యెహోవా దృష్టికి చెడునడత నడచుటచేత

5. Joakim was five and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did evil before the Lord his God.

6. అతని మీదికి బబులోనురాజైన నెబుకద్నెజరు వచ్చి అతని బబులోనునకు తీసికొని పోవుటకై గొలుసులతో బంధించెను.

6. Against him came up Nabuchodonosor king of the Chaldeans, and led him bound in chains into Babylon.

7. మరియు నెబుకద్నెజరు యెహోవా మందిరపు ఉపకరణములలో కొన్నిటిని బబు లోనునకు తీసికొనిపోయి బబులోనులోనున్న తన గుడిలో ఉంచెను.

7. And he carried also thither the vessels of the Lord, and put them in his temple.

8. యెహోయాకీము చేసిన యితర కార్యములను గూర్చియు, అతడు హేయదేవతలను పెట్టుకొనుటను గూర్చియు, అతని సకల ప్రవర్తనను గూర్చియు ఇశ్రాయేలు యూదారాజుల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడి యున్నది. అతని కుమారుడైన యెహోయాకీను అతనికి బదులుగా రాజాయెను.

8. But the rest of the acts of Joakim, and his abominations, which he wrought, and the things that were found in him, are contained in the book of the kings of Juda and Israel. And Joachin his son reigned in his stead.

9. యెహోయాకీను ఏలనారంభించినప్పుడు ఎనిమిదేండ్ల వాడై యెరూషలేములో మూడు నెలల పది దినములు ఏలెను. అతడు యెహోవా దృష్టికి చెడునడత నడిచెను

9. Joachin was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem, and he did evil in the sight of the Lord.

10. And at the return of the year, king Nabuchodonosor sent, and brought him to Babylon, carrying away at the same time the most precious vessels of the house of the Lord: and he made Sedecias his uncle king over Juda and Jerusalem.

11. సిద్కియా యేలనారంభించినప్పుడు ఇరువది యొక టేండ్లవాడై యెరూషలేములో పదకొండు సంవత్సరములు ఏలెను.

11. Sedecias was one and twenty years old when he began to reign: and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem.

12. అతడు తన దేవుడైన యెహోవా దృష్టికి చెడు నడత నడచుచు, ఆయన నియమించిన ప్రవక్తయైన యిర్మీయా మాట వినకయు, తన్ను తాను తగ్గించుకొనకయు ఉండెను.

12. And he did evil in the eyes of the Lord his God, and did not reverence the face of Jeremias the prophet speaking to him from the mouth of the Lord.

13. మరియు దేవుని నామమునుబట్టి తనచేత ప్రమాణముచేయించిన నెబుకద్నెజరు రాజుమీద అతడు తిరుగుబాటు చేసెను. అతడు మొండితనము వహించి ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా వైపు తిరుగక తన మనస్సును కఠినపరచుకొనెను.

13. He also revolted from king Nabuchodonosor, who had made him swear by God: and he hardened his neck and his heart, from returning to the Lord the God of Israel.

14. అదియుగాక యాజ కులలోను జనులలోను అధిపతులగువారు, అన్యజనులు పూజించు హేయమైన విగ్రహములను పెట్టుకొని బహుగా ద్రోహులై, యెహోవా యెరూషలేములో పరిశుద్ధపరచిన మందిరమును అపవిత్రపరచిరి.

14. Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people wickedly transgressed according to all the abominations of the Gentiles: and they defiled the house of the Lord, which he had sanctified to himself in Jerusalem.

15. వారి పితరుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా తన జనులయందును తన నివాసస్థలమందును కటాక్షము గలవాడై వారియొద్దకు తన దూతలద్వారా వర్తమానము పంపుచు వచ్చెను. ఆయన

15. And the Lord the God of their fathers sent to them, by the hand of his messengers, rising early, and daily admonishing them: because he spared his people and his dwelling place.

16. పెందలకడ లేచి పంపుచు వచ్చిననుఒ వారు దేవుని దూత లను ఎగతాళిచేయుచు, ఆయన వాక్యములను తృణీకరిం చుచు, ఆయన ప్రవక్తలను హింసించుచు రాగా, నివారింప శక్యముకాకుండ యెహోవా కోపము ఆయన జనుల మీదికి వచ్చెను.

16. But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused the prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, and there was no remedy.

17. ఆయన వారిమీదికి కల్దీయుల రాజును రప్పింపగా అతడు వారికి పరిశుద్ధస్థలముగానున్న మంది రములోనే వారి ¸యౌవనులను ఖడ్గము చేత సంహరించెను. అతడు ¸యౌవనులయందైనను, యువతులయందైనను, ముసలి వారియందైనను, నెరసిన వెండ్రుకలుగల వారియందైనను కనికరింపలేదు. దేవుడు వారినందరిని అతనిచేతి కప్ప గించెను.

17. For he brought upon them the king of the Chaldeans, and he slew their young men with the sword in the house of his sanctuary, he had no compassion on young man, or maiden, old man or even him that stooped for age, but he delivered them all into his hands.

18. మరియు బబులోనురాజు పెద్దవేమి చిన్నవేమి దేవుని మందిరపు ఉపకరణములన్నిటిని, యెహోవా మంది రపు నిధులలోనిదేమి రాజు నిధులలోనిదేమి అధిపతుల నిధులలోనిదేమి, దొరకిన ద్రవ్యమంతయు బబులోనునకు తీసికొనిపోయెను.

18. And all the vessels of the house of the Lord, great and small, and the treasures of the temple and of the king, and of the princes he carried away to Babylon.

19. అదియుగాక కల్దీయులు దేవుని మందిరమును తగులబెట్టి, యెరూషలేము ప్రాకారమును పడగొట్టి, దానియొక్క నగరులన్నిటిని కాల్చివేసిరి. దానిలోని ప్రశస్తమైన వస్తువులన్నిటిని బొత్తిగా పాడు చేసిరి.

19. And the enemies set fire to the house of God, and broke down the wall of Jerusalem, burnt all the towers, and whatsoever was precious they destroyed.

20. ఖడ్గముచేత హతులు కాకుండ తప్పించుకొనిన వారిని అతడు బబులోనునకు తీసికొనిపోయెను. రాజ్యము పారసీకులదగువరకు వారు అక్కడనే యుండి అతనికిని అతని కుమారులకును దాసులైరి.

20. Whosoever escaped the sword, was led into Babylon, and there served the king and his sons till the reign of the king of Persia.

21. యిర్మీయాద్వారా పలుక బడిన యెహోవా మాట నెర వేరుటకై విశ్రాంతిదినములను దేశము అనుభవించువరకు ఇది సంభవించెను. దేశము పాడుగానున్న డెబ్బది సంవత్సరములకాలము అది విశ్రాంతి దినముల ననుభవించెను.

21. That the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremias might be fulfilled, and the land might keep her sabbaths: for all the days of the desolation she kept a sabbath, till the seventy years were expired.

22. పారసీక దేశపు రాజైన కోరెషు ఏలుబడియందు మొదటి సంవత్సరమున యిర్మీయాద్వారా పలుకబడిన తన వాక్య మును నెరవేర్చుటకై యెహోవా పారసీకదేశపురాజైన కోరెషు మనస్సును ప్రేరేపింపగా అతడు తన రాజ్యమం దంతటను చాటించి వ్రాతమూలముగా ఇట్లు ప్రకటన చేయించెను

22. But in the first year of Cyrus king of the Persians, to fulfill the word of the Lord, which he had spoken by the mouth of Jeremias, the Lord stirred up the heart of Cyrus king of the Persians who commanded it to be proclaimed through all his kingdom, and by writing also, saying:

23. పారసీకదేశపు రాజైన కోరెషు ఆజ్ఞా పించునదేమనగాఆకాశమందలి దేవుడైన యెహోవా లోకమందున్న సకలజనములను నా వశముచేసి, యూదా దేశమందున్న యెరూషలేములో తనకు మందిరమును కట్టించుమని నాకు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చి యున్నాడు; కావున మీలో ఎవరు ఆయన జనులైయున్నారో వారు బయలుదేర వచ్చును; వారి దేవుడైన యెహోవా వారికి తోడుగా నుండునుగాక.

23. Thus saith Cyrus king of the Persians: All the kingdoms of the earth hath the Lord the God of heaven given to me, and he hath charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judea: who is there among you of all his people? The Lord his God be with him, and let him go up.
