1. అప్పుడు దేశపు జనులు యోషీయా కుమారుడైన యెహోయాహాజును స్వీకరించి యెరూషలేములో అతని తండ్రి స్థానమున అతనిని రాజుగా నియమించిరి.

1. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah and made him king for his father in Jerusalem.

2. యెహోయాహాజు ఏలనారంభించినప్పుడు ఇరువది మూడేండ్లవాడై యెరూషలేములో మూడు నెలలు ఏలెను.

2. And Jehoahaz was twenty three year old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem.

3. ఐగుప్తురాజు యెరూషలేమునకు వచ్చి అతని తొలగించి, ఆ దేశమునకు రెండువందల మణుగుల వెండిని రెండు మణుగుల బంగారమును జుల్మానాగా నిర్ణయించి

3. For the king of Egypt put him down at Jerusalem and merced the land in an hundredth talents of silver and a talent of gold.

4. అతని సహోదరుడైన ఎల్యాకీమును యూదామీదను యెరూషలేముమీదను రాజుగా నియమించి, అతనికి యెహోయాకీము అను మారు పేరుపెట్టెను. నెకో అతని సహోదరుడైన యెహోయాహాజును పట్టుకొని ఐగుప్తునకు తీసికొని పోయెను.

4. And the king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king upon Juda and Jerusalem, and turned his name unto Jehoiakim, but Jehoahaz his brother Necho took and carried him to Egypt.

5. యెహోయాకీము ఏలనారంభించినప్పుడు ఇరువది యయిదేండ్లవాడై యెరూషలేములో పదకొండు సంవత్సర ములు ఏలెను. అతడు తన దేవుడైన యెహోవా దృష్టికి చెడునడత నడచుటచేత

5. And Jehoakim was twenty five year old when he began to reign, and he reigned an eleven year in Jerusalem: and he did that displeased the LORD his God.

6. అతని మీదికి బబులోనురాజైన నెబుకద్నెజరు వచ్చి అతని బబులోనునకు తీసికొని పోవుటకై గొలుసులతో బంధించెను.

6. Against him came Nabuchodonozor king of Babylon and bound him in fetters to carry him to Babylon.

7. మరియు నెబుకద్నెజరు యెహోవా మందిరపు ఉపకరణములలో కొన్నిటిని బబు లోనునకు తీసికొనిపోయి బబులోనులోనున్న తన గుడిలో ఉంచెను.

7. Thereto the king Nabuchodonozor carried off the vessels of the house of the LORD to Babylon and put them in his temple at Babylon.

8. యెహోయాకీము చేసిన యితర కార్యములను గూర్చియు, అతడు హేయదేవతలను పెట్టుకొనుటను గూర్చియు, అతని సకల ప్రవర్తనను గూర్చియు ఇశ్రాయేలు యూదారాజుల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడి యున్నది. అతని కుమారుడైన యెహోయాకీను అతనికి బదులుగా రాజాయెను.

8. The rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his Abominations, and that was laid to his charge, are written in the book of the kings of Israel: and Jehoiacin his son reigned in his stead.

9. Jehoiacin was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and did that displeased the LORD.

10. And when the year was out, king Nabuchodonozor sent and fetched him to Babylon with the goodly vessels of the house of the LORD, and made Zedekiah his brother king over Juda and Jerusalem.

11. And Zedekiah was twenty one year old when he began to reign, and reigned a eleven year in Jerusalem.

12. And he did that displeased the LORD his God, and humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet at the mouth of the LORD.

13. And thereto he rebelled against Nabuchodonozor which had received an oath of him by God, and was too stiff necked and too hard hearted to turn unto the LORD God of Israel.

14. అదియుగాక యాజ కులలోను జనులలోను అధిపతులగువారు, అన్యజనులు పూజించు హేయమైన విగ్రహములను పెట్టుకొని బహుగా ద్రోహులై, యెహోవా యెరూషలేములో పరిశుద్ధపరచిన మందిరమును అపవిత్రపరచిరి.

14. Thereto all the rulers of the priests with the people trespassed apace after all manner of abominations of the heathen and polluted the house of the LORD which he had hallowed in Jerusalem.

15. వారి పితరుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా తన జనులయందును తన నివాసస్థలమందును కటాక్షము గలవాడై వారియొద్దకు తన దూతలద్వారా వర్తమానము పంపుచు వచ్చెను. ఆయన

15. And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, sending them betimes: for he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place.

16. But they mocked the messengers of God and despised their words and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD so arose against his people that it was past remedy.

17. And so he brought upon them the king of Caldeye and slew their young men with the sword in their holy temple, and neither spared young man nor maiden, neither old man, neither so much as him that stooped for age: But gave all into his hand.

18. మరియు బబులోనురాజు పెద్దవేమి చిన్నవేమి దేవుని మందిరపు ఉపకరణములన్నిటిని, యెహోవా మంది రపు నిధులలోనిదేమి రాజు నిధులలోనిదేమి అధిపతుల నిధులలోనిదేమి, దొరకిన ద్రవ్యమంతయు బబులోనునకు తీసికొనిపోయెను.

18. And all the vessels of the house of God both great and small, and the treasures of the house of GOD,(the LORDE) and the treasures of the king and his lords he carried to Babylon every whit.

19. అదియుగాక కల్దీయులు దేవుని మందిరమును తగులబెట్టి, యెరూషలేము ప్రాకారమును పడగొట్టి, దానియొక్క నగరులన్నిటిని కాల్చివేసిరి. దానిలోని ప్రశస్తమైన వస్తువులన్నిటిని బొత్తిగా పాడు చేసిరి.

19. And they burnt the house of God and brake down the walls of Jerusalem and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire with all the goodly stuff thereof, and marred it.

20. ఖడ్గముచేత హతులు కాకుండ తప్పించుకొనిన వారిని అతడు బబులోనునకు తీసికొనిపోయెను. రాజ్యము పారసీకులదగువరకు వారు అక్కడనే యుండి అతనికిని అతని కుమారులకును దాసులైరి.

20. And he carried away them that had escaped the sword, to Babylon, where they were servants to him and his children, until the kingdom of Persia began to rule,

21. యిర్మీయాద్వారా పలుక బడిన యెహోవా మాట నెర వేరుటకై విశ్రాంతిదినములను దేశము అనుభవించువరకు ఇది సంభవించెను. దేశము పాడుగానున్న డెబ్బది సంవత్సరములకాలము అది విశ్రాంతి దినముల ననుభవించెను.

21. to fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had her pleasure of her Sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate, she kept Sabbath until she had fulfilled seventy year.

22. పారసీక దేశపు రాజైన కోరెషు ఏలుబడియందు మొదటి సంవత్సరమున యిర్మీయాద్వారా పలుకబడిన తన వాక్య మును నెరవేర్చుటకై యెహోవా పారసీకదేశపురాజైన కోరెషు మనస్సును ప్రేరేపింపగా అతడు తన రాజ్యమం దంతటను చాటించి వ్రాతమూలముగా ఇట్లు ప్రకటన చేయించెను

22. And the first year of Cyrus king of Persia to finish the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation thorowout all this kingdom, and thereto to set it up in writing, saying:

23. పారసీకదేశపు రాజైన కోరెషు ఆజ్ఞా పించునదేమనగాఆకాశమందలి దేవుడైన యెహోవా లోకమందున్న సకలజనములను నా వశముచేసి, యూదా దేశమందున్న యెరూషలేములో తనకు మందిరమును కట్టించుమని నాకు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చి యున్నాడు; కావున మీలో ఎవరు ఆయన జనులైయున్నారో వారు బయలుదేర వచ్చును; వారి దేవుడైన యెహోవా వారికి తోడుగా నుండునుగాక.

23. Thus sayeth Cyrus king of Persia, all the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of heaven given me, which hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem that is in the land of Juda. Wherefore whosoever is among you of all his people, the LORD his God be with him, and let him go up. [The end of the second book of the Chronicles of the kings of Iuda.]
