1. షేబదేశపు రాణి సొలొమోనును గూర్చిన ప్రసిద్ధిని వినినప్పుడు గూఢమైన ప్రశ్నలచేత సొలొమోనును శోధింపవలెనని కోరి, మిక్కిలి గొప్ప పరివారమును వెంట బెట్టుకొని, గంధవర్గములను విస్తారము బంగారమును రత్న ములను ఒంటెలమీద ఎక్కించుకొని యెరూషలేమునకు వచ్చెను. ఆమె సొలొమోనునొద్దకు వచ్చి తన మనస్సులోని విషయములన్నిటిని గురించి అతనితో మాటలాడెను.

1. And, the queen of Sheba, heard the report of Solomon, so she came to prove Solomon with abstruse questions, in Jerusalem, with a very great train, and camels bearing spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones, and, when she was come to Solomon, she spake with him, as to all that was near her heart.

2. సొలొమోను ఆమె ప్రశ్నలన్నియు ఆమెకు విడదీసి చెప్పెను; సొలొమోను ఆమెకు ప్రత్యుత్తరము చెప్పలేని మరుగైన మాట యేదియు లేకపోయెను.

2. And Solomon answered her all her questions, and there was nothing hidden from Solomon, which he told her not.

3. షేబదేశపురాణి సొలొమోనునకు కలిగిన జ్ఞానమును, అతడు కట్టించిన నగరును,

3. And, when the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, and the house which he had built;

4. and the food of his table, and the seats of his servants, and the standing of his attendants, with their apparel, and his cupbearers, and their apparel, and his ascent whereby he used to ascend the house of Yahweh, then was there in her no more spirit.

5. నీ కార్యములనుగూర్చియు జ్ఞానమునుగూర్చియు నేను నా దేశమందు వినిన వర్తమానము నిజవర్తమానమే గాని, నేను వచ్చి దాని కన్నులార చూచువరకు వారి మాటలను నమ్మకయుంటిని.

5. And she said unto the king, True was the word, which I heard in my own land, concerning thine affairs, and concerning thy wisdom.

6. నీ యధిక జ్ఞానమును గూర్చి సగమైనను వారు నాకు తెలుపలేదు. నిన్నుగూర్చి నేను వినినదానికంటె నీ కీర్తి యెంతో హెచ్చుగానున్నది.

6. Howbeit I believed not their words, until I had come and mine own eyes had seen, when lo! there had not been told me, the half of the fulness of thy wisdom, thou dost exceed the report which I heard.

7. నీ సేవకుల భాగ్యము మంచిది, ఎల్లప్పుడును నీ సముఖమున నిలిచి నీ జ్ఞానసంభాషణ వినుచుండు నీ సేవకులైన వీరి భాగ్యము మంచిది.

7. How happy! are thy men, and how happy! are these thy servants, who are standing before thee continually, and hearing thy wisdom.

8. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా సన్నిధిని నీవు రాజువై ఆయన సింహాసనముమీద ఆసీనుడవై యుండునట్లు నీయందు అనుగ్రహము చూపినందుకు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు స్తోత్రములు కలుగునుగాక. ఇశ్రా యేలీయులను నిత్యము స్థిరపరచవలెనన్న దయాలోచన నీ దేవునికి కలిగియున్నందున నీతి న్యాయములను జరిగించుటకై ఆయన నిన్ను వారిమీద రాజుగా నియమించెను అని చెప్పెను.

8. Yahweh thy God be blessed, who hath delighted in thee, to set thee upon his throne as king unto Yahweh thy God. Because of the love of thy God unto Israel, to establish them unto times age-abiding, therefore hath he set thee over them, as king, to execute justice and righteousness.

9. ఆమె రాజునకు రెండువందల నలుబది మణుగుల బంగారమును విస్తారమైన గంధవర్గములను రత్న ములను ఇచ్చెను; షేబదేశపు రాణి రాజైన సొలొమోనున కిచ్చిన గంధవర్గములతో సాటియైన దేదియులేదు.

9. And she gave unto the king, a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and spices in great abundance and precious stones, and there was none like that spice, which the queen of Sheba gave unto King Solomon.

10. ఇదియుగాక ఓఫీరునుండి బంగారము తెచ్చిన హీరాము పనివారును సొలొమోను పనివారును చందనపు మ్రానులను ప్రశస్తమైన రత్నములనుకూడ కొనివచ్చిరి.

10. Moreover also, the servants of Huram, and the servants of Solomon, who brought gold from Ophir, brought sandal-wood and precious stones.

11. ఆ చంద నపు మ్రానులచేత రాజు యెహోవా మందిరమునకును రాజనగరునకును సౌపానములను, గాయకులకు తంబురలను సితారాలను చేయించెను, అటువంటి పని అంతకుముందు యూదాదేశమందు ఎవ్వరును చూచియుండలేదు.

11. And the king made of the sandal-wood, stairs unto the house of Yahweh, and unto the house of the king, also lyres and harps, for the singers, and there were none seen like them before, in the land of Judah.

12. షేబ దేశపు రాణి రాజునకు తీసికొనివచ్చిన వాటికి అతడిచ్చిన ప్రతి బహుమానములుగాక ఆమె మక్కువ పడి అడిగిన దంతయు రాజైన సొలొమోను ఆమె కిచ్చెను; తరువాత ఆమె తన సేవకులను వెంట బెట్టుకొని మరలి తన దేశమునకు వెళ్లిపోయెను.

12. And, King Solomon, gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, besides a return for that which she had brought unto the king, so she turned, and went away to her own land, she, and her servants.

13. గంధవర్గములు అమ్ము వర్తకులును ఇతర వర్తకులును కొని వచ్చు బంగారముగాక సొలొమోనునకు ఏటేట వచ్చు బంగారము వెయ్యిన్ని మూడువందల ముప్పది రెండు మణుగులయెత్తు.

13. Now, the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year, was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold;

14. అరబీదేశపు రాజులందరును దేశాధిపతు లును సొలొమోనునొద్దకు బంగారమును వెండియు తీసికొని వచ్చిరి.

14. besides what came in from the subjugated, and what the travelling merchants were bringing in, and, all the kings of Arabia and the pashas of the land, were bringing gold and silver, unto Solomon.

15. రాజైన సొలొమోను సాగగొట్టిన బంగారముతో అలుగులుగల రెండువందల డాళ్లను చేయించెను; ఒక్కొక డాలునకు ఆరువందల తులముల బంగారము పట్టెను.

15. And King Solomon made two hundred shields of beaten gold, six hundred shekels of beaten gold, overlay one shield;

16. మరియు సాగగొట్టిన బంగారముతో మూడువందల కేడెములను చేయించెను; ఒక్కొక కేడెమునకుమూడువందల తులముల బంగారము పట్టెను; వాటిని రాజు లెబానోను అరణ్యపు నగరునందుంచెను.

16. also three hundred bucklers of beaten gold, three hundred shekels of gold, overlay one buckler, and the king placed them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.

17. మరియు రాజు దంత ముతో ఒక గొప్ప సింహాసనము చేయించి ప్రశస్త మైన బంగారముతో దాని పొదిగించెను.

17. And the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold;

18. ఆ సింహాసనమునకు దానితో కలిసియున్న ఆరు బంగారపు సోపానము లును సింహాసనమునకు కట్టి యున్న బంగారపు పాదపీఠమును ఉండెను, కూర్చుండుచోటికి ఇరుప్రక్కల ఊతలుండెను, ఊతలదగ్గర రెండు సింహము లుండెను;

18. and there were six steps to the throne, and a footstool in gold, unto the throne, made fast, and supports, on this side and on that, unto the seat, and, two lions, standing by the supports;

19. ఆ యారు సోపానములమీద ఇరుప్రక్కల పండ్రెండు సింహములు నిలిచియుండెను, ఏ రాజ్యమందైనను అటువంటి పని చేయబడలేదు.

19. and, twelve lions, standing there upon the six steps, on this side and on that, there was never made the like, for any kingdom.

20. మరియు రాజైన సొలొమోనునకున్న పానపాత్రలన్నియును బంగారపువై యుండెను; లెబానోను అరణ్యపు నగరుననున్న ఉపకరణములన్నియు బంగారముతో చేసినవి; హీరాముయొక్క పనివారితో కూడ రాజు ఓడలు తర్షీషుకు పోయి మూడు సంవత్సరములకు ఒకమారు బంగారము, వెండి, యేనుగుదంతము, కోతులు, నెమళ్లు అను సరకులతో వచ్చుచుండెను గనుక

20. And, all the drinking vessels of King Solomon, were of gold, and, all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon, were of purified gold, there was no silver, it was esteemed, in the days of Solomon, as nothing.

21. సొలొమోను దినములలో వెండియెన్నికకు రానిదాయెను

21. For, the ships of the king, used to go to Tarshish, with the servants of Huram, once in three years, came in the ships of Tarshish, bearing gold and silver, ivory and apes, and peacocks.

22. రాజైన సొలొమోను భూరాజులందరికంటెను ఐశ్వర్య మందును జ్ఞానమందును అధికుడాయెను.

22. And so King Solomon became greater than all the kings of the earth, as to riches, and wisdom.

23. దేవుడు సొలొ మోనుయొక్క హృదయ మందుంచిన జ్ఞానోక్తులను వినుటకై భూరాజులందరును అతని ముఖదర్శనము చేయగోరిరి.

23. And, all the kings of the earth, were seeking the face of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart;

24. మరియు ప్రతివాడును ఏటేట వెండివస్తువులను బంగారు వస్తువులను వస్త్రములను ఆయుధములను గంధవర్గములను గుఱ్ఱములను కంచరగాడిదలను కానుకలుగా తీసికొనివచ్చెను.

24. and, they, were bringing in every man his present utensils of silver, and utensils of gold, and mantles, armour, and spices, horses and mules, the need of a year in a year.

25. రథములు నిలువయుంచు పట్టణములలోను రాజునొద్ద యెరూషలేములోను సొలొమోనునకు నాలుగువేల గుఱ్ఱపు సాలలును రథములును పండ్రెండువేల గుఱ్ఱపు రౌతులును కలిగి యుండెను.

25. And Solomon had four thousand stalls of horses, and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, and he settled them in the chariot cities, and with the king in Jerusalem.

26. యూఫ్రటీసునది మొదలుకొని ఫిలిష్తీ యుల దేశమువరకును ఐగుప్తు సరిహద్దువరకును ఉండు రాజు లందరి పైని అతడు ఏలుబడి చేసెను.

26. And he ruled over all the kings, from the river Euphrates , even up to the land of the Philistines, yea up to the bounds of Egypt.

27. రాజు యెరూషలేము నందు వెండి రాళ్లంత విస్తారముగా నుండునట్లును, దేవదారు మ్రానులు షెఫేలా ప్రదేశ ముననున్న మేడివృక్షములంత విస్తారముగా నుండునట్లును చేసెను.

27. And the king made the silver in Jerusalem like the stones, and, the cedar trees, made he like the sycomores which are in the lowland, for abundance.

28. ఐగుప్తునుండియు సకల దేశములనుండియు సొలొమోనునకు గుఱ్ఱములు తేబడెను.

28. And they used to bring horses out of Egypt unto Solomon, and out of all lands.

29. సొలొమోను చేసిన కార్యములన్నిటినిగూర్చి ప్రవక్తయైన నాతాను రచించిన గ్రంథమందును, షిలోనీయుడైన అహీయా రచించిన ప్రవచన గ్రంథమందును, నెబాతు కుమారుడైన యరొబామునుగూర్చి దీర్ఘదర్శి యైన ఇద్దోకు గ్రంథమందును వ్రాయబడి యున్నది.

29. Now, the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are they not written in the records of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer, concerning Jeroboam son of Nebat?

30. సొలొమోను యెరూషలేమునందు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరిమీద నలుబది సంవత్సరములు ఏలుబడి చేసెను.

30. And Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel, forty years.

31. తరువాత సొలొ మోను తన పితరులతో కూడ నిద్రించి తన తండ్రియైన దావీదు పట్టణమందు పాతిపెట్టబడెను; అతనికి బదులుగా అతని కుమారుడైన రెహబాము రాజాయెను.

31. And Solomon slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David his father, and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.
