1. Job spoke next. He said:

2. నిజముగా లోకములో మీరే జనులు మీతోనే జ్ఞానము గతించి పోవును.

2. Doubtless, you are the voice of the people, and when you die, wisdom will die with you!

3. అయినను మీకున్నట్టు నాకును వివేచనాశక్తి కలిగియున్నది నేను మీకంటె తక్కువజ్ఞానము కలవాడను కాను మీరు చెప్పినవాటిని ఎరుగనివాడెవడు? దేవునికి మొఱ్ఱపెట్టి ప్రత్యుత్తరములు పొందిన వాడనైన నేను

3. But I have a brain, as well as you, I am in no way inferior to you, and who, in any case, does not know all that?

4. నా స్నేహితునికి అపహాస్యాస్పదముగా నుండవలసి వచ్చెను. నీతియు యథార్థతయు గలవాడు అపహాస్యాస్పదముగా నుండవలసి వచ్చెను.

4. Anyone becomes a laughing-stock to his friends if he cries to God and expects an answer. People laugh at anyone who has integrity and is upright.

5. దుర్దశ నొందినవానిని తిరస్కరించుట క్షేమముగలవారు యుక్తమను కొందురు. కాలుజారు వారికొరకు తిరస్కారము కనిపెట్టుచున్నది.

5. 'Add insult to injury,' think the prosperous, 'strike the fellow now that he is staggering!'

6. దోపిడిగాండ్ర కాపురములు వర్థిల్లును దేవునికి కోపము పుట్టించువారు నిర్భయముగా నుందురు వారు తమ బాహుబలమే తమకు దేవుడనుకొందురు.

6. And yet the tents of brigands are left in peace: those who provoke God dwell secure and so does anyone who makes a god of his fist!

7. అయినను మృగములను విచారించుము అవి నీకు బోధించును. ఆకాశపక్షులను విచారించుము అవి నీకు తెలియజేయును.

7. You have only to ask the cattle, for them to instruct you, and the birds of the sky, for them to inform you.

8. భూమిని గూర్చి ధ్యానించిన యెడల అది నీకు భోధించును సముద్రములోని చేపలును నీకు దాని వివరించును

8. The creeping things of earth will give you lessons, and the fish of the sea provide you an explanation:

9. వీటి అన్నిటిని బట్టి యోచించుకొనిన యెడల యెహోవా హస్తము వీటిని కలుగజేసెనని తెలిసికొనలేని వాడెవడు?

9. there is not one such creature but will know that the hand of God has arranged things like this!

10. జీవరాసుల ప్రాణమును మనుష్యులందరి ఆత్మలును ఆయన వశమున నున్నవి గదా.

10. In his hand is the soul of every living thing and the breath of every human being!

11. అంగిలి ఆహారమును రుచి చూచునట్లు చెవి మాటలను పరీక్షింపదా?

11. Can the ear not distinguish the value of what is said, just as the palate can tell one food from another?

12. వృద్ధులయొద్ద జ్ఞానమున్నది, దీర్ఘాయువువలన వివేచన కలుగుచున్నది. అని మీరు చెప్పుదురు

12. Wisdom is found in the old, and discretion comes with great age.

13. జ్ఞానశౌర్యములు ఆయనయొద్ద ఉన్నవి ఆలోచనయు వివేచనయు ఆయనకు కలవు.

13. But in him there is wisdom, and power too, and good counsel no less than discretion.

14. ఆలోచించుము ఆయన పడగొట్టగా ఎవరును మరలకట్టజాలరు ఆయన మనుష్యుని చెరలో మూసివేయగా తెరచుట ఎవరికిని సాధ్యము కాదు.

14. What he destroys, no one can rebuild; whom he imprisons, no one can release.

15. ఆలోచించుము ఆయన జలములను బిగబట్టగా అవి ఆరిపోవును వాటిని ప్రవహింపనియ్యగా అవి భూమిని ముంచివేయును.

15. Is there a drought? He has withheld the waters. Do they play havoc on earth? He has let them loose.

16. బలమును జ్ఞానమును ఆయనకు స్వభావ లక్షణములు మోసపడువారును మోసపుచ్చువారును ఆయన వశమున నున్నారు.

16. In him is strength, in him resourcefulness, beguiler and beguiled alike are his.

17. ఆలోచనకర్తలను వస్త్రహీనులనుగా చేసి ఆయన వారిని తోడుకొని పోవును. న్యాయాధిపతులను అవివేకులనుగా కనుపరచును.

17. He robs a country's counsellors of their wits, turns judges into fools.

18. రాజుల అధికారమును ఆయన కొట్టివేయును వారి నడుములకు గొలుసులు కట్టును.

18. He undoes the belts of kings and knots a rope round their waists.

19. యాజకులను వస్త్రహీనులనుగా చేసి వారిని తోడుకొని పోవును స్థిరముగా నాటుకొనిన వారిని ఆయన పడగొట్టును.

19. He makes priests walk barefoot, and overthrows the powers that are established.

20. వాక్చాతుర్యము గలవారి పలుకును ఆయన నిరర్థకము చేయును పెద్దలను బుద్ధిలేనివారినిగా చేయును.

20. He strikes the most assured of speakers dumb and robs old people of their discretion.

21. అధిపతులను ఆయన తిరస్కారము చేయును బలాఢ్యుల నడికట్లను విప్పును.

21. He pours contempt on the nobly born, and unbuckles the belt of the strong.

22. చీకటిలోని రహస్యములను ఆయన బయలుపరచుచు మరణాంధకారమును వెలుగులోనికి రప్పించును

22. He unveils the depths of darkness, brings shadow dark as death to the light.

23. జనములను విస్తరింపజేయును నిర్మూలము చేయును సరిహద్దులను విశాలపరచును జనములను కొనిపోవును.

23. He builds nations up, then ruins them, he makes peoples expand, then suppresses them.

24. భూజనుల అధిపతుల వివేచనను ఆయన నిరర్థక పరచునుత్రోవలేని మహారణ్యములో వారిని తిరుగులాడ చేయును.

24. He strips a country's leaders of their judgement, and leaves them to wander in a trackless waste,

25. వారు వెలుగులేక చీకటిలో తడబడుచుందురు మత్తుగొనిన వాడు తూలునట్లు ఆయన వారిని తూలచేయును.

25. to grope about in unlit darkness, lurching to and fro as though drunk.
