1. అప్పుడు తేమానీయుడైన ఎలీఫజు ఈలాగున ప్రత్యుత్తరమిచ్చెను

1. Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered, and sayde,

2. నరులు దేవునికి ప్రయోజనకారులగుదురా? కారు;బుద్ధిమంతులు తమమట్టుకు తామే ప్రయోజనకారులై యున్నారు

2. May a man be profitable vnto God, as he that is wise, may be profitable to himselfe?

3. నీవు నీతిమంతుడవై యుండుట సర్వశక్తుడగు దేవునికి సంతోషమా?నీవు యథార్థవంతుడవై ప్రవర్తించుట ఆయనకు లాభకరమా?

3. Is it any thing vnto the Almightie, that thou art righteous? or is it profitable to him, that thou makest thy wayes vpright?

4. ఆయనయందు భయభక్తులు కలిగియున్నందున ఆయన నిన్ను గద్దించునా? నీ భయభక్తులనుబట్టి ఆయన నీతో వ్యాజ్యెమాడునా?

4. Is it for feare of thee that he will accuse thee? or go with thee into iudgement?

5. నీ చెడుతనము గొప్పది కాదా?నీ దోషములు మితిలేనివి కావా?

5. Is not thy wickednes great, and thine iniquities innumerable?

6. ఏమియు ఇయ్యకయే నీ సోదరులయొద్ద నీవు తాకట్టు పుచ్చుకొంటివి వస్త్రహీనుల బట్టలను తీసికొంటివి

6. For thou hast taken the pledge from thy brother for nought, and spoyled the clothes of the naked.

7. దప్పిచేత ఆయాసపడినవారికి నీళ్లియ్యవైతివి ఆకలిగొనినవానికి అన్నము పెట్టకపోతివి.

7. To such as were wearie, thou hast not giuen water to drinke, and hast withdrawen bread from the hungrie.

8. బాహుబలముగల మనుష్యునికే భూమి ప్రాప్తించును ఘనుడని యెంచబడినవాడు దానిలో నివసించును.

8. But the mightie man had the earth, and he that was in autoritie, dwelt in it.

9. విధవరాండ్రను వట్టిచేతులతో పంపివేసితివి తండ్రిలేనివారి చేతులు విరుగగొట్టితివి.

9. Thou hast cast out widowes emptie, and the armes of the fatherles were broken.

10. కావుననే బోనులు నిన్ను చుట్టుకొనుచున్నవి ఆకస్మిక భయము నిన్ను బెదరించుచున్నది.

10. Therefore snares are round about thee, and feare shall suddenly trouble thee:

11. నిన్ను చిక్కించుకొన్న అంధకారమును నీవు చూచుట లేదా?నిన్ను ముంచబోవు ప్రళయజలములను నీవు చూచుట లేదా?

11. Or darkenes that thou shouldest not see, and abundance of waters shall couer thee.

12. దేవుడు ఆకాశమంత మహోన్నతుడు కాడా?నక్షత్రముల ఔన్నత్యమును చూడుము అవి ఎంతపైగా నున్నవి?

12. Is not God on hie in the heauen? and behold the height of the starres how hie they are.

13. దేవునికి ఏమి తెలియును?గాఢాంధకారములోనుండి ఆయన న్యాయము కనుగొనునా?

13. But thou sayest, How should God know? can he iudge through the darke cloude?

14. గాఢమైన మేఘములు ఆయనకు చాటుగా నున్నవి, ఆయన చూడలేదుఆకాశములో ఆయన తిరుగుచున్నాడు అని నీవనుకొనుచున్నావు.

14. The cloudes hide him that he can not see, and he walketh in the circle of heauen.

15. పూర్వమునుండి దుష్టులు అనుసరించిన మార్గమును నీవు అనుసరించెదవా?

15. Hast thou marked the way of the worlde, wherein wicked men haue walked?

16. వారు అకాలముగా ఒక నిమిషములో నిర్మూలమైరివారి పునాదులు జలప్రవాహమువలె కొట్టుకొని పోయెను.

16. Which were cut downe before the time, whose foundation was as a riuer that ouerflowed:

17. ఆయన మంచి పదార్థములతో వారి యిండ్లను నింపినను

17. Which sayd vnto God, Depart from vs, and asked what the Almightie could do for them.

18. మాయొద్ద నుండి తొలగిపొమ్మనియు సర్వశక్తుడగు దేవుడు మాకు ఏమి చేయుననియు వారు దేవునితో అందురు. భక్తిహీనుల ఆలోచన నాకు దూరమై యుండునుగాక.

18. Yet hee filled their houses with good things: but let the counsell of the wicked be farre from me.

19. మన విరోధులు నిశ్చయముగా నిర్మూలమైరనియు వారి సంపదను అగ్ని కాల్చివేసెననియు పలుకుచు

19. The righteous shall see them, and shall reioyce, and the innocent shall laugh them to scorne.

20. నీతిమంతులు దాని చూచి సంతోషించుదురు నిర్దోషులు వారిని హేళన చేయుదురు.

20. Surely our substance is hid: but the fire hath deuoured the remnant of them.

21. ఆయనతో సహవాసము చేసినయెడల నీకు సమాధానము కలుగునుఆలాగున నీకు మేలు కలుగును.

21. Therefore acquaint thy selfe, I pray thee, with him, and make peace: thereby thou shalt haue prosperitie.

22. ఆయన నోటి ఉపదేశమును అవలంబించుము ఆయన మాటలను నీ హృదయములో ఉంచుకొనుము.

22. Receiue, I pray thee, the law of his mouth, and lay vp his words in thine heart.

23. సర్వశక్తునివైపు నీవు తిరిగినయెడలనీ గుడారములలో నుండి దుర్మార్గమును దూరముగా తొలగించినయెడల నీవు అభివృద్ధి పొందెదవు.

23. If thou returne to the Almightie, thou shalt be buylt vp, and thou shalt put iniquitie farre from thy tabernacle.

24. మంటిలో నీ బంగారమును ఏటిరాళ్లలో ఓఫీరు సువర్ణమును పారవేయుము

24. Thou shalt lay vp golde for dust, and the gold of Ophir, as the flintes of the riuers.

25. అప్పుడు సర్వశక్తుడు నీకు అపరంజిగాను ప్రశస్తమైన వెండిగాను ఉండును.

25. Yea, the Almightie shalbe thy defence, and thou shalt haue plentie of siluer.

26. అప్పుడు సర్వశక్తునియందు నీవు ఆనందించెదవుదేవునితట్టు నీ ముఖము ఎత్తెదవు.

26. And thou shalt then delite in the Almightie, and lift vp thy face vnto God.

27. నీవు ఆయనకు ప్రార్థనచేయగాఆయన నీ మనవి నాలకించునునీ మ్రొక్కుబళ్లు నీవు చెల్లించెదవు.

27. Thou shalt make thy praier vnto him, and he shall heare thee, and thou shalt render thy vowes.

28. మరియు నీవు దేనినైన యోచనచేయగా అది నీకుస్థిరపరచబడునునీ మార్గములమీద వెలుగు ప్రకాశించును.

28. Thou shalt also decree a thing, and he shall establish it vnto thee, and the light shall shine vpon thy wayes.

29. నీవు పడద్రోయబడినప్పుడుమీదు చూచెదనందువువినయముగలవానిని ఆయన రక్షించును.
మత్తయి 23:12, 1 పేతురు 5:6

29. When others are cast downe, then shalt thou say, I am lifted vp: and God shall saue the humble person.

30. నిర్దోషికానివానినైనను ఆయన విడిపించును. అతడు నీ చేతుల శుద్ధివలన విడిపింపబడును.

30. The innocent shall deliuer the yland, and it shalbe preserued by the purenes of thine hands.
