1. వెండికి గని గలదు పుటమువేయు సువర్ణమునకు స్థలము గలదు.

1. Surely there is a mine for silver, and a place for gold which they refine.

2. ఇనుమును మంటిలోనుండి తీయుదురు రాళ్లు కరగించి రాగి తీయుదురు.

2. Iron is taken out of the earth, and brass is molten out of the stone.

3. మనుష్యులు చీకటికి అంతము కలుగజేయుదురు గాఢాంధకారములోను మరణాంధకారములోను ఉండు రత్నములను వెదకుచు వారు భూమ్యంతముల వరకు సంచరింతురు.

3. {cf15i Man} setteth an end to darkness, and searcheth out to the furthest bound the stones of thick darkness and of the shadow of death.

4. జనులు తిరుగు స్థలములకు చాల దిగువగా మనుష్యులు సొరంగము త్రవ్వుదురు వారు పైసంచరించువారిచేత మరువబడుదురు అచ్చట వారు మానవులకు దూరముగానుండి ఇటు అటు అల్లాడుచుందురు.

4. He breaketh open a shaft away from where men sojourn; they are forgotten of the foot {cf15i that passeth by}; they hang afar from men, they swing to and fro.

5. భూమినుండి ఆహారము పుట్టును దాని లోపలిభాగము అగ్నిమయమైనట్లుండును.

5. As for the earth, out of it cometh bread: and underneath it is turned up as it were by fire.

6. దాని రాళ్లు నీలరత్నములకు స్థానము దానిలో సువర్ణమయమైన రాళ్లున్నవి.

6. The stones thereof are the place of sapphires, and it hath dust of gold.

7. ఆ త్రోవ యే క్రూరపక్షికైనను తెలియదు డేగ కన్నులు దాని చూడలేదు

7. That path no bird of prey knoweth, neither hath the falcons eye seen it:

8. గర్వముగల క్రూర జంతువులు దాని త్రొక్కలేదు. సింహము ఆ మార్గమున నడవలేదు

8. The proud beasts have not trodden it, nor hath the fierce lion passed thereby.

9. మనుష్యులు స్ఫటికమువంటి బండను పట్టుకొందురు పర్వతములను వాటి కుదుళ్ల సహితముగా బోర్ల ద్రోయుదురు.

9. He putteth forth his hand upon the flinty rock; he overturneth the mountains by the roots.

10. బండలలో వారు బాటలు కొట్టుదురు వారి కన్ను అమూల్యమైన ప్రతి వస్తువును చూచును.

10. He cutteth out channels among the rocks; and his eye seeth every precious thing.

11. నీళ్లు ఓడిగిలిపోకుండ వారు జలధారలకు గట్టు కట్టు దురు మరుగైయున్న వస్తువును వారు వెలుగులోనికి తెప్పించు దురు

11. He bindeth the streams that they trickle not; and the thing that is hid bringeth he forth to light.

12. అయితే జ్ఞానము ఎక్కడ దొరకును? వివేచన దొరకు స్థలము ఎక్కడ నున్నది?

12. But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?

13. నరులు దాని విలువను ఎరుగరు ప్రాణులున్న దేశములో అది దొరకదు.

13. Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living.

14. అగాధము అది నాలో లేదనును సముద్రమునాయొద్ద లేదనును.

14. The deep saith, It is not in me: and the sea saith, It is not with me.

15. సువర్ణము దానికి సాటియైనది కాదు దాని విలువకొరకై వెండి తూచరాదు.

15. It cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof.

16. అది ఓఫీరు బంగారమునకైనను విలువగల గోమేధికమునకైనను నీలమునకైనను కొనబడునది కాదు.

16. It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.

17. సువర్ణమైనను స్ఫటికమైనను దానితో సాటికావు ప్రశస్తమైన బంగారు నగలకు ప్రతిగా అది ఇయ్యబడదు.

17. Gold and glass cannot equal it: neither shall the exchange thereof be jewels of fine gold.

18. పగడముల పేరు ముత్యముల పేరు దానియెదుట ఎత్తనేకూడదు. జ్ఞానసంపాద్యము కెంపులకన్న కోరతగినది

18. No mention shall be made of coral or of crystal: yea, the price of wisdom is above rubies.

19. కూషుదేశపు పుష్యరాగము దానితో సాటికాదు. శుద్ధసువర్ణమునకు కొనబడునది కాదు.

19. The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold.

20. అట్లైన జ్ఞానము ఎక్కడనుండి వచ్చును? వివేచన దొరకు స్థలమెక్కడ నున్నది?

20. Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding?

21. అది సజీవులందరి కన్నులకు మరుగై యున్నది ఆకాశపక్షులకు మరుగుచేయబడి యున్నది.

21. Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air.

22. మేము చెవులార దానిగూర్చిన వార్త వింటిమని నాశన మును మరణమును అనును.

22. Destruction and Death say, We have heard a rumour thereof with our ears.

23. దేవుడే దాని మార్గమును గ్రహించును దాని స్థలము ఆయనకే తెలియును.

23. God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof.

24. ఆయన భూమ్యంతములవరకు చూచుచున్నాడు. ఆకాశము క్రింది దానినంతటిని తెలిసికొనుచున్నాడు.

24. For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven;

25. గాలికి ఇంత బరువు ఉండవలెనని ఆయన నియమించి నప్పుడు ప్రమాణమునుబట్టి జలములకు ఇంత కొలతయని ఆయన వాటిని కొలిచి చూచినప్పుడు

25. To make a weight for the wind; yea, he meteth out the waters by measure.

26. వర్షమునకు కట్టడ నియమించినప్పుడు ఉరుముతో కూడిన మెరుపునకు మార్గము ఏర్పరచినప్పుడు

26. When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder:

27. ఆయన దాని చూచి బయలుపరచెను దానిని స్థాపనచేసి దాని పరిశోధించెను.

27. Then did he see it, and declare it; he established it, yea, and searched it out.

28. మరియు యెహోవాయందలి భయభక్తులే జ్ఞాన మనియు దుష్టత్వము విడచుటయే వివేకమనియు ఆయన నరులకు సెలవిచ్చెను.

28. And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.
