1. వెండికి గని గలదు పుటమువేయు సువర్ణమునకు స్థలము గలదు.

1. 'There are mines for silver and places where gold is refined;

2. ఇనుమును మంటిలోనుండి తీయుదురు రాళ్లు కరగించి రాగి తీయుదురు.

2. iron is extracted from the earth, and copper is smelted from ore.

3. మనుష్యులు చీకటికి అంతము కలుగజేయుదురు గాఢాంధకారములోను మరణాంధకారములోను ఉండు రత్నములను వెదకుచు వారు భూమ్యంతముల వరకు సంచరింతురు.

3. Miners conquer the darkness and dig as far in as they can, to the ore in gloom and deep darkness.

4. జనులు తిరుగు స్థలములకు చాల దిగువగా మనుష్యులు సొరంగము త్రవ్వుదురు వారు పైసంచరించువారిచేత మరువబడుదురు అచ్చట వారు మానవులకు దూరముగానుండి ఇటు అటు అల్లాడుచుందురు.

4. There where no one lives, they break open a shaft; the feet passing over are oblivious to them; far from people, suspended in space, they swing to and fro.

5. భూమినుండి ఆహారము పుట్టును దాని లోపలిభాగము అగ్నిమయమైనట్లుండును.

5. 'While the earth is [[peacefully]] yielding bread, underneath, it is being convulsed as if by fire;

6. దాని రాళ్లు నీలరత్నములకు స్థానము దానిలో సువర్ణమయమైన రాళ్లున్నవి.

6. its rocks have veins of sapphire, and there are flecks of gold.

7. ఆ త్రోవ యే క్రూరపక్షికైనను తెలియదు డేగ కన్నులు దాని చూడలేదు

7. Birds of prey don't know that path, no falcon's eye has seen it,

8. గర్వముగల క్రూర జంతువులు దాని త్రొక్కలేదు. సింహము ఆ మార్గమున నడవలేదు

8. the proud beasts have never set foot on it, no lion has ever passed over it.

9. మనుష్యులు స్ఫటికమువంటి బండను పట్టుకొందురు పర్వతములను వాటి కుదుళ్ల సహితముగా బోర్ల ద్రోయుదురు.

9. '[[The miner]] attacks the flint, overturns mountains at their roots,

10. బండలలో వారు బాటలు కొట్టుదురు వారి కన్ను అమూల్యమైన ప్రతి వస్తువును చూచును.

10. and cuts out galleries in the rock, all the while watching for something of value.

11. నీళ్లు ఓడిగిలిపోకుండ వారు జలధారలకు గట్టు కట్టు దురు మరుగైయున్న వస్తువును వారు వెలుగులోనికి తెప్పించు దురు

11. He dams up streams to keep them from flooding, and brings what was hidden out into the light.

12. అయితే జ్ఞానము ఎక్కడ దొరకును? వివేచన దొరకు స్థలము ఎక్కడ నున్నది?

12. 'But where can wisdom be found? Where is the source of understanding?

13. నరులు దాని విలువను ఎరుగరు ప్రాణులున్న దేశములో అది దొరకదు.

13. No one knows its value, and it can't be found in the land of the living.

14. అగాధము అది నాలో లేదనును సముద్రమునాయొద్ద లేదనును.

14. The deep says, 'It isn't in me,' and the sea says, 'It isn't with me.'

15. సువర్ణము దానికి సాటియైనది కాదు దాని విలువకొరకై వెండి తూచరాదు.

15. It can't be obtained with gold, nor can silver be weighed out to buy it.

16. అది ఓఫీరు బంగారమునకైనను విలువగల గోమేధికమునకైనను నీలమునకైనను కొనబడునది కాదు.

16. It can't be purchased with choice gold from Ofir, or with precious onyx or sapphires.

17. సువర్ణమైనను స్ఫటికమైనను దానితో సాటికావు ప్రశస్తమైన బంగారు నగలకు ప్రతిగా అది ఇయ్యబడదు.

17. Neither gold nor glass can be compared with it; nor can it be exchanged for a bowl of fine gold,

18. పగడముల పేరు ముత్యముల పేరు దానియెదుట ఎత్తనేకూడదు. జ్ఞానసంపాద్యము కెంపులకన్న కోరతగినది

18. let alone coral or crystal; for indeed, the price of wisdom is above that of pearls.

19. కూషుదేశపు పుష్యరాగము దానితో సాటికాదు. శుద్ధసువర్ణమునకు కొనబడునది కాదు.

19. It can't be compared with Ethiopian topaz, and it can't be valued with pure gold.

20. అట్లైన జ్ఞానము ఎక్కడనుండి వచ్చును? వివేచన దొరకు స్థలమెక్కడ నున్నది?

20. 'So where does wisdom come from? where is the source of understanding,

21. అది సజీవులందరి కన్నులకు మరుగై యున్నది ఆకాశపక్షులకు మరుగుచేయబడి యున్నది.

21. inasmuch as it is hidden from the eyes of all living and kept secret from the birds flying around in the sky?

22. మేము చెవులార దానిగూర్చిన వార్త వింటిమని నాశన మును మరణమును అనును.

22. Destruction and Death say, 'We have heard a rumor about it with our ears.'

23. దేవుడే దాని మార్గమును గ్రహించును దాని స్థలము ఆయనకే తెలియును.

23. 'God understands its way, and he knows its place.

24. ఆయన భూమ్యంతములవరకు చూచుచున్నాడు. ఆకాశము క్రింది దానినంతటిని తెలిసికొనుచున్నాడు.

24. For he can see to the ends of the earth and view everything under heaven.

25. గాలికి ఇంత బరువు ఉండవలెనని ఆయన నియమించి నప్పుడు ప్రమాణమునుబట్టి జలములకు ఇంత కొలతయని ఆయన వాటిని కొలిచి చూచినప్పుడు

25. When he determined the force of the wind and parceled out water by measure,

26. వర్షమునకు కట్టడ నియమించినప్పుడు ఉరుముతో కూడిన మెరుపునకు మార్గము ఏర్పరచినప్పుడు

26. when he made a law for the rain and cleared a path for the thunderbolts;

27. ఆయన దాని చూచి బయలుపరచెను దానిని స్థాపనచేసి దాని పరిశోధించెను.

27. then he saw [[wisdom]] and declared it, yes, he set it up and searched it out.

28. మరియు యెహోవాయందలి భయభక్తులే జ్ఞాన మనియు దుష్టత్వము విడచుటయే వివేకమనియు ఆయన నరులకు సెలవిచ్చెను.

28. And to human beings he said, 'Look, fear of [Adonai] is wisdom! Shunning evil is understanding!''
