1. మనుష్యులు మనమీదికి లేచినప్పుడు యెహోవా మనకు తోడైయుండనియెడల

1. If the LORD had not been for us, now may Israel say,

2. వారి ఆగ్రహము మనపైని రగులుకొనినప్పుడు

2. If the LORD had not been for us, when men rose up against us,

3. యెహోవా మనకు తోడైయుండనియెడల వారు మనలను ప్రాణముతోనే మింగివేసియుందురు

3. then they would have swallowed us up alive, when their wrath was kindled against us;

4. జలములు మనలను ముంచివేసి యుండును ప్రవాహము మన ప్రాణములమీదుగా పొర్లిపారి యుండును

4. then the waters would have overwhelmed us; the flood would have gone over our soul;

5. ప్రవాహములై ఘోషించు జలములు మన ప్రాణములమీదుగా పొర్లి పారియుండును అని ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు అందురు గాక.

5. then the proud waters would have gone over our soul.

6. వారి పండ్లకు మనలను వేటగా అప్పగింపని యెహోవా స్తుతినొందును గాక.

6. Blessed [be] the LORD, who did not give us [as] a prey to their teeth.

7. పక్షి తప్పించుకొనినట్లు మన ప్రాణము వేటకాండ్ర ఉరినుండి తప్పించుకొని యున్నది ఉరి తెంపబడెను మనము తప్పించుకొని యున్నాము.

7. Our soul has escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers; the snare has broken, and we are escaped.

8. భూమ్యాకాశములను సృజించిన యెహోవా నామము వలననే మనకు సహాయము కలుగుచున్నది.

8. Our help [is] in the name of the LORD, who made the heaven and the earth.:
