1. ఐగుప్తులోనికి యాకోబుతో వచ్చిన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పేరులు ఏవనగా, రూబేను షిమ్యోను లేవి యూదా ఇశ్శాఖారు జెబూలూను బెన్యామీను.

1. Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt (euery man and his housholde came thither with Iaakob)

2. దాను నఫ్తాలి గాదు ఆషేరు.

2. Reuben, Simeon, Leui, and Iudah,

3. వీరిలో ప్రతివాడును తన తన కుటుంబముతో వచ్చెను.

3. Issachar, Zebulun, and Beniamin,

4. యాకోబు గర్భమున పుట్టినవారందరు డెబ్బదిమంది.

4. Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

5. అప్పటికి యోసేపు ఐగుప్తులో ఉండెను.

5. So al the soules, that came out of the loines of Iaakob, were seuentie soules: Ioseph was in Egypt already.

6. యోసేపును అతని అన్నదమ్ములందరును ఆ తరమువారందరును చనిపోయిరి.

6. Nowe Ioseph died and all his brethren, and that whole generation.

7. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు బహు సంతానము గలవారై అభివృద్ధి పొంది విస్తరించి అత్యధికముగా ప్రబలిరి; వారున్న ప్రదేశము వారితో నిండియుండెను.

7. And the children of Israel brought foorth fruite and encreased in aboundance, and were multiplied, and were exceeding mightie, so that the land was full of them.

8. అప్పుడు యోసేపును ఎరుగని క్రొత్త రాజు ఐగుప్తును ఏలనారంభించెను.

8. Then there rose vp a newe King in Egypt, who knewe not Ioseph.

9. అతడు తన జనులతో ఇట్లనెను ఇదిగో ఇశ్రాయేలు సంతతియైన యీ జనము మనకంటె విస్తారముగాను బలిష్ఠముగాను ఉన్నది.

9. And he sayde vnto his people, Beholde, the people of the children of Israel are greater and mightier then we.

10. వారు విస్తరింపకుండునట్లు మనము వారి యెడల యుక్తిగా జరిగించుదము రండి; లేనియెడల యుద్ధము కలుగునప్పుడు కూడ మన శత్రువులతో చేరి మనకు విరోధముగా యుద్ధముచేసి యీ దేశములోనుండి, వెళ్లిపోదురేమో అనెను.

10. Come, let vs worke wisely with them, least they multiplie, and it come to passe, that if there be warre, they ioyne them selues also vnto our enemies, and fight against vs, and get them out of the land.

11. కాబట్టి వారిమీద పెట్టిన భారములలో వారిని శ్రమపెట్టుటకు వెట్టి పనులు చేయించు అధికారులను వారిమీద నియమింపగా వారు ఫరోకొరకు ధాన్యాదులను నిలువచేయు పీతోము రామెసేసను పట్టణములను కట్టిరి.

11. Therefore did they set taskemasters ouer them, to keepe the vnder with burdens: and they built the cities Pithom and Raamses for the treasures of Pharaoh.

12. అయినను ఐగుప్తీయులు వారిని శ్రమపెట్టినకొలది వారు విస్తరించి ప్రబలిరి గనుక వారు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల యెడల అసహ్యపడిరి.

12. But the more they vexed them, the more they multiplied and grewe: therefore they were more grieued against the children of Israel.

13. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులచేత ఐగుప్తీయులు కఠినముగా సేవ చేయించుకొనిరి;

13. Wherefore the Egyptians by crueltie caused the children of Israel to serue.

14. వారు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులచేత చేయించుకొనిన ప్రతి పనియు కఠినముగా ఉండెను. వారు జిగటమంటి పనిలోను, ఇటుకల పనిలోను, పొలములో చేయు ప్రతిపనిలోను కఠినసేవ చేయించి వారి ప్రాణములను విసికించిరి.

14. Thus they made them weary of their liues by sore labour in clay and in bricke, and in al worke in the fielde, with all maner of bondage, which they layde vpon them most cruelly.

15. మరియు ఐగుప్తురాజు షిఫ్రా పూయా అను హెబ్రీయుల మంత్రసానులతో మాటలాడి

15. Moreouer the King of Egypt commanded ye midwiues of the Ebrewe women, (of which the ones name was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah)

16. మీరు హెబ్రీ స్త్రీలకు మంత్రసానిపని చేయుచు వారిని కాన్పుపీటల మీద చూచినప్పుడు మగవాడైనయెడల వాని చంపుడి, ఆడుదైనయెడల దాని బ్రదుకనియ్యుడని వారితో చెప్పెను.

16. And sayde, When ye doe the office of a midwife to the women of the Ebrewes, and see them on their stooles, if it be a sonne, then yee shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then let her liue.

17. అయితే ఆ మంత్రసానులు దేవునికి భయపడి, ఐగుప్తురాజు తమ కాజ్ఞాపించినట్లు చేయక మగపిల్లలను బ్రదుకనియ్యగా

17. Notwithstanding ye midwiues feared God, and did not as the King of Egypt commanded them, but preserued aliue the men children.

18. ఐగుప్తురాజు ఆ మంత్రసానులను పిలిపించి మీరెందుకు మగపిల్లలను బ్రదుకనిచ్చితిరి? ఈ పనియేల చేసితిరి అని అడిగెను.
అపో. కార్యములు 7:19

18. Then the King of Egypt called for the midwiues, and sayde vnto them, Why haue yee done thus, and haue preserued aliue the men children?

19. అందుకు ఆ మంత్రసానులు హెబ్రీ స్త్రీలు ఐగుప్తు స్త్రీలవంటివారు కారు; వారు చురుకైనవారు. మంత్రసాని వారియొద్దకు వెళ్లక మునుపే వారు ప్రసవించి యుందురని ఫరోతో చెప్పిరి.

19. And the midwiues answered Pharaoh, Because the Ebrewe women are not as the women of Egypt: for they are liuely, and are deliuered yer the midwife come at them.

20. దేవుడు ఆ మంత్రసానులకు మేలుచేసెను. ఆ జనము విస్తరించి మిక్కిలి ప్రబలెను.

20. God therefore prospered the midwiues, and the people multiplied and were very mightie.

21. ఆ మంత్రసానులు దేవునికి భయపడినందున ఆయన వారికి వంశాభివృద్ధి కలుగజేసెను.

21. And because ye midwiues feared God, therefore he made them houses.

22. అయితే ఫరో హెబ్రీయులలో పుట్టిన ప్రతి కుమారుని నదిలో పారవేయుడి, ప్రతి కుమార్తెను బ్రదుకనియ్యుడి అని తన జనులందరికి ఆజ్ఞాపించెను.

22. Then Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Euery man childe that is borne, cast yee into the riuer, but reserue euery maide childe aliue.
