1. 'But,' objected Moses, 'suppose they will not believe me, nor listen to my plea? For they may say, 'The LORD did not appear to you.''

2. యెహోవా నీ చేతిలోనిది ఏమిటి అని అతని నడిగెను. అందుకతడు కఱ్ఱ అనెను.

2. The LORD therefore asked him, 'What is that in your hand?' 'A staff,' he answered.

3. అప్పుడాయన నేలను దాని పడవేయుమనెను. అతడు దాని నేల పడవేయగానే అది పామాయెను. మోషే దానినుండి పారిపోయెను.

3. The LORD then said, 'Throw it on the ground.' When he threw it on the ground it was changed into a serpent, and Moses shied away from it.

4. అప్పుడు యెహోవా - నీ చెయ్యి చాపి దాని తోక పట్టుకొనుమనగా, అతడు తన చెయ్యి చాపి దాని పట్టుకొనగానే అది అతని చేతిలో కఱ్ఱ ఆయెను.

4. 'Now, put out your hand,' the LORD said to him, 'and take hold of its tail.' So he put out his hand and laid hold of it, and it became a staff in his hand.

5. 'This will take place so that they may believe,' he continued, 'that the LORD, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob, did appear to you.'

6. Again the LORD said to him, 'Put your hand in your bosom.' He put it in his bosom, and when he withdrew it, to his surprise his hand was leprous, like snow.

7. The LORD then said, 'Now, put your hand back in your bosom.' Moses put his hand back in his bosom, and when he withdrew it, to his surprise it was again like the rest of his body.

8. 'If they will not believe you, nor heed the message of the first sign, they should believe the message of the second.

9. And if they will not believe even these two signs, nor heed your plea, take some water from the river and pour it on the dry land. The water you take from the river will become blood on the dry land.'

10. అప్పుడు మోషే ప్రభువా, ఇంతకు మునుపైనను, నీవు నీ దాసునితో మాటలాడి నప్పటినుండి యైనను, నేను మాట నేర్పరిని కాను, నేను నోటి మాంద్యము నాలుక మాంద్యము గలవాడనని యెహోవాతో చెప్పగా

10. Moses, however, said to the LORD, 'If you please, LORD, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past, nor recently, nor now that you have spoken to your servant; but I am slow of speech and tongue.'

11. యెహోవా మానవునకు నోరిచ్చినవాడు ఎవడు? మూగ వానినేగాని చెవిటివానినేగాని దృష్టిగలవానినేగాని గ్రుడ్డివానినేగాని పుట్టించినవాడెవడు? యెహోవానైన నేనే గదా.

11. The LORD said to him, 'Who gives one man speech and makes another deaf and dumb? Or who gives sight to one and makes another blind? Is it not I, the LORD?

12. కాబట్టి వెళ్లుము, నేను నీ నోటికి తోడైయుండి, నీవు ఏమి పలుకవలసినది నీకు బోధించెదనని అతనితో చెప్పెను.

12. Go, then! It is I who will assist you in speaking and will teach you what you are to say.'

13. అందుకతడు అయ్యో ప్రభువా, నీవు పంప తలంచిన వానినే పంపుమనగా

13. Yet he insisted, 'If you please, Lord, send someone else!'

14. ఆయన మోషే మీద కోపపడి లేవీయుడగు నీ అన్నయైన అహరోను లేడా? అతడు బాగుగా మాటలాడగలడని నేనెరుగుదును, ఇదిగో అతడు నిన్ను ఎదుర్కొనవచ్చుచున్నాడు, అతడు నిన్ను చూచి తన హృదయమందు సంతోషించును;

14. Then the LORD became angry with Moses and said, 'Have you not your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know that he is an eloquent speaker. Besides, he is now on his way to meet you.

15. When he sees you, his heart will be glad. You are to speak to him, then, and put the words in his mouth. I will assist both you and him in speaking and will teach the two of you what you are to do.

16. He shall speak to the people for you: he shall be your spokesman, and you shall be as God to him.

17. ఈ కఱ్ఱను చేతపట్టు కొనిదానితో ఆ సూచక క్రియలు చేయవలెనని చెప్పెను.

17. Take this staff in your hand; with it you are to perform the signs.'

18. అటుతరువాత మోషే బయలుదేరి తన మామయైన యిత్రో యొద్దకు తిరిగి వెళ్లి సెలవైన యెడల నేను ఐగుప్తులోనున్న నా బంధువుల యొద్దకు మరల పోయి వారింక సజీవులై యున్నారేమో చూచెదనని అతనితో చెప్పగా యిత్రో - క్షేమముగా వెళ్లుమని మోషేతో అనెను.

18. After this Moses returned to his father-in-law Jethro and said to him, 'Let me go back, please, to my kinsmen in Egypt, to see whether they are still living.' Jethro replied, 'Go in peace.'

19. అంతట యెహోవా నీ ప్రాణమును వెదకిన మనుష్యులందరు చనిపోయిరి గనుక ఐగుప్తుకు తిరిగి వెళ్లుమని మిద్యానులో మోషేతో చెప్పగా,

19. In Midian the LORD said to Moses, 'Go back to Egypt, for all the men who sought your life are dead.'

20. మోషే తన భార్యను తన కుమారులను తీసికొని గాడిదమీద నెక్కించుకొని ఐగుప్తుకు తిరిగి వెళ్లెను. మోషే దేవుని కఱ్ఱను తన చేత పట్టుకొని పోయెను.

20. So Moses took his wife and his sons, and started back to the land of Egypt, with them riding the ass. The staff of God he carried with him.

21. అప్పుడు యెహోవా మోషేతో ఇట్లనెను - నీవు ఐగుప్తునందు తిరిగి చేరిన తరువాత, చేయుటకు నేను నీకిచ్చిన మహత్కార్యములన్నియు ఫరో యెదుట చేయవలెను సుమీ అయితే నేను అతని హృదయమును కఠినపరచెదను. అతడు ఈ జనులను పోనియ్యడు.

21. The LORD said to him, 'On your return to Egypt, see that you perform before Pharaoh all the wonders I have put in your power. I will make him obstinate, however, so that he will not let the people go.

23. Hence I tell you: Let my son go, that he may serve me. If you refuse to let him go, I warn you, I will kill your son, your first-born.'

24. On the journey, at a place where they spent the night, the Lord came upon Moses and would have killed him.

25. సిప్పోరా వాడిగల రాయి తీసికొని తన కుమారునికి సున్నతిచేసి అతని పాదములయొద్ద అది పడవేసి నిజముగా నీవు నాకు రక్తసంబంధమైన పెనిమిటివైతివనెను; అంతట ఆయన అతనిని విడిచెను.

25. But Zipporah took a piece of flint and cut off her son's foreskin and, touching his person, she said, 'You are a spouse of blood to me.'

26. అప్పుడు ఆమె ఈ సున్నతినిబట్టి నీవు నాకు రక్తసంబంధమైన పెనిమిటివైతివనెను.

26. Then God let Moses go. At that time she said, 'A spouse of blood,' in regard to the circumcision.

27. మరియు యెహోవా మోషేను ఎదుర్కొనుటకు అరణ్యములోనికి వెళ్లుమని అహరోనుతో చెప్పగా అతడు వెళ్లి దేవుని పర్వతమందు అతని కలిసికొని అతని ముద్దు పెట్టుకొనెను.

27. The LORD said to Aaron, 'Go into the desert to meet Moses.' So he went, and when they met at the mountain of God, Aaron kissed him.

28. అప్పుడు మోషే తన్ను పంపిన యెహోవా పలుకుమన్న మాటలన్నిటిని, ఆయన చేయ నాజ్ఞాపించిన సూచక క్రియలన్నిటిని అహరోనుకు తెలిపెను.

28. Moses informed him of all the LORD had said in sending him, and of the various signs he had enjoined upon him.

29. తరువాత మోషే అహరోనులు వెళ్లి ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పెద్దలనందరిని పోగుచేసి,

29. Then Moses and Aaron went and assembled all the elders of the Israelites.

30. యెహోవా మోషేతో చెప్పిన మాటలన్నియు అహరోను వివరించి, జనుల యెదుట ఆ సూచక క్రియలను చేయగా జనులు నమ్మిరి.

30. Aaron told them everything the LORD had said to Moses, and he performed the signs before the people.

31. మరియు యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను చూడవచ్చి తమ బాధను కనిపెట్టెనను మాట జనులు విని తలవంచుకొని నమస్కారము చేసిరి.

31. The people believed, and when they heard that the LORD was concerned about them and had seen their affliction, they bowed down in worship.
