1. రాజైన లెమూయేలు మాటలు, అతని తల్లి అతని కుపదేశించిన దేవోక్తి,

1. These are the words of King Lemuel, the mes- sage his mother taught him:

2. నా కుమారుడా, నేనేమందును? నేను కన్న కుమా రుడా, నేనేమందును? నా మ్రొక్కులు మ్రొక్కి కనిన కుమారుడా, నేనే మందును?

2. My son, I gave birth to you. You are the son I prayed for.

3. నీ బలమును స్త్రీలకియ్యకుము రాజులను నశింపజేయు స్త్రీలతో సహవాసము చేయ కుము

3. Don't waste your strength on women or your time on those who ruin kings.

4. ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగుట రాజులకు తగదు లెమూయేలూ, అది రాజులకు తగదు మద్యపానాసక్తి అధికారులకు తగదు.

4. Kings should not drink wine, Lemuel, and rulers should not desire beer.

5. త్రాగినయెడల వారు కట్టడలను మరతురు దీనులకందరికి అన్యాయము చేయుదురు

5. If they drink, they might forget the law and keep the needy from getting their rights.

6. ప్రాణము పోవుచున్నవానికి మద్యము నియ్యుడి మనోవ్యాకులముగలవారికి ద్రాక్షారసము నియ్యుడి.

6. Give beer to people who are dying and wine to those who are sad.

7. వారు త్రాగి తమ పేదరికము మరతురు తమ శ్రమను ఇక తలంచకుందురు.

7. Let them drink and forget their need and remember their misery no more.

8. మూగవారికిని దిక్కులేనివారికందరికిని న్యాయము జరుగునట్లు నీ నోరు తెరువుము.

8. Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; defend the rights of all those who have nothing.

9. నీ నోరు తెరచి న్యాయముగా తీర్పు తీర్చుము దీనులకును శ్రమపడువారికిని దరిద్రులకును న్యాయము జరిగింపుము.

9. Speak up and judge fairly, and defend the rights of the poor and needy.'

10. గుణవతియైన భార్య దొరుకుట అరుదు అట్టిది ముత్యముకంటె అమూల్యమైనది.

10. It is hard to find a good wife, because she is worth more than rubies.

11. ఆమె పెనిమిటి ఆమెయందు నమ్మికయుంచును అతని లాభప్రాప్తికి వెలితి కలుగదు.

11. Her husband trusts her completely. With her, he has everything he needs.

12. ఆమె తాను బ్రదుకు దినములన్నియు అతనికి మేలు చేయును గాని కీడేమియు చేయదు.

12. She does him good and not harm for as long as she lives.

13. ఆమె గొఱ్ఱెబొచ్చును అవిసెనారను వెదకును తన చేతులార వాటితో పనిచేయును.

13. She looks for wool and flax and likes to work with her hands.

14. వర్తకపు ఓడలు దూరమునుండి ఆహారము తెచ్చునట్లు ఆమె దూరమునుండి ఆహారము తెచ్చుకొనును.

14. She is like a trader's ship, bringing food from far away.

15. ఆమె చీకటితోనే లేచి, తన యింటివారికి భోజనము సిద్ధపరచును తన పనికత్తెలకు బత్తెము ఏర్పరచును.

15. She gets up while it is still dark and prepares food for her family and feeds her servant girls.

16. ఆమె పొలమును చూచి దానిని తీసికొనును తాము కూడబెట్టిన ద్రవ్యము పెట్టి ద్రాక్షతోట యొకటి నాటించును.

16. She inspects a field and buys it. With money she earned, she plants a vineyard.

17. ఆమె నడికట్టుచేత నడుము బలపరచుకొని చేతులతో బలముగా పనిచేయును

17. She does her work with energy, and her arms are strong.

18. తన వ్యాపారలాభము అనుభవముచే తెలిసికొనును రాత్రివేళ ఆమె దీపము ఆరిపోదు.

18. She knows that what she makes is good. Her lamp burns late into the night.

19. ఆమె పంటెను చేత పట్టుకొనును తన వ్రేళ్లతో కదురు పట్టుకొని వడుకును.

19. She makes thread with her hands and weaves her own cloth.

20. దీనులకు తన చెయ్యి చాపును దరిద్రులకు తన చేతులు చాపును

20. She welcomes the poor and helps the needy.

21. తన యింటివారికి చలి తగులునని భయపడదు ఆమె యింటివారందరు రక్తవర్ణ వస్త్రములు ధరించిన వారు.

21. She does not worry about her family when it snows, because they all have fine clothes to keep them warm.

22. ఆమె పరుపులను సిద్ధపరచుకొనును ఆమె బట్టలు సన్నని నారబట్టలు రక్తవర్ణపు వస్త్రములు.

22. She makes coverings for herself; her clothes are made of linen and other expensive material.

23. ఆమె పెనిమిటి దేశపు పెద్దలతోకూడ కూర్చుం డును గవినియొద్ద పేరుగొనినవాడై యుండును.

23. Her husband is known at the city meetings, where he makes decisions as one of the leaders of the land.

24. ఆమె నారబట్టలు నేయించి అమ్మునునడికట్లను వర్తకులకు అమ్మును.

24. She makes linen clothes and sells them and provides belts to the merchants.

25. బలమును ఘనతయు ఆమెకు వస్త్రములు ఆమె రాబోవు కాలము విషయమై నిర్భయముగా ఉండును.

25. She is strong and is respected by the people. She looks forward to the future with joy.

26. జ్ఞానము కలిగి తన నోరు తెరచును కృపగల ఉపదేశము ఆమె బోధించును.

26. She speaks wise words and teaches others to be kind.

27. ఆమె తన యింటివారి నడతలను బాగుగా కని పెట్టును పనిచేయకుండ ఆమె భోజనము చేయదు.

27. She watches over her family and never wastes her time.

28. ఆమె కుమారులు లేచి ఆమెను ధన్యురాలందరు చాలమంది కుమార్తెలు పతివ్రతాధర్మము ననుసరించి

28. Her children speak well of her. Her husband also praises her,

29. యున్నారు గాని వారందరిని నీవు మించినదానవు అని ఆమె పెనిమిటి ఆమెను పొగడును.

29. saying, 'There are many fine women, but you are better than all of them.'

30. అందము మోసకరము, సౌందర్యము వ్యర్థము యెహోవాయందు భయభక్తులు కలిగిన స్త్రీ కొని యాడబడును

30. Charm can fool you, and beauty can trick you, but a woman who respects the Lord should be praised.

31. చేసిన పనినిబట్టి అట్టిదానికి ప్రతిఫలమియ్యదగును గవునులయొద్ద ఆమె పనులు ఆమెను కొనియాడును.

31. Give her the reward she has earned; she should be praised in public for what she has done.
