1. హిజ్కియా విని తన బట్టలు చింపుకొని గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొని యెహోవా మందిరమునకుపోయి

1. And when the King Hezekiah heard it, he rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth and came into the House of the Lord.

2. గృహ నిర్వాహకుడగు ఎల్యాకీమును, శాస్త్రియగు షెబ్నాను, యాజకులలో పెద్దలను, ఆమోజు కుమారుడును ప్రవక్తయు నైన యెషయాయొద్దకు పంపెను.

2. And he sent Eliakim the stewarde of the house, aud Shebna the chanceller, with the Elders of the Priestes, clothed in sackcloth vnto Isaiah the Prophet, the sonne of Amoz.

3. వీరు గోనెపట్ట కట్టు కొనినవారై అతనియొద్దకు వచ్చి అతనితో ఇట్లనిరిహిజ్కియా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగాఈ దినము శ్రమయు శిక్షయు దూషణయు గల దినము, పిల్లలు పుట్టవచ్చిరి గాని కనుటకు శక్తి చాలదు.

3. And they sayd vnto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of tribulation and of rebuke and blasphemie: for the children are come to the birth, and there is no strength to bring foorth.

4. జీవముగల దేవుని దూషించు టకై అష్షూరురాజైన తన యజమానునిచేత పంపబడిన రబ్షాకే పలికిన మాటలు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఒకవేళ ఆలకించి, నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు వినబడియున్న ఆ మాటలనుబట్టి ఆయన అష్షూరురాజును గద్దించునేమో. కాబట్టి నిలిచిన శేషముకొరకు నీవు హెచ్చుగా ప్రార్థన చేయుము.

4. If so be the Lord thy God hath heard the wordes of Rabshakeh, whom the King of Asshur his master hath sent to raile on the liuing God, and to reproch him with wordes which the Lord thy God hath heard, then lift thou vp thy prayer for the remnant that are left.

5. రాజైన హిజ్కియా సేవకులు యెషయా యొద్దకు రాగా

5. So the seruants of the King Hezekiah came to Isaiah.

6. యెషయా వారితో ఇట్లనెనుమీ యజమానునికి ఈ మాట తెలియజేయుడి; యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా అష్షూరురాజు సేవకులు నన్ను దూషింపగా నీవు వినిన మాటలకు భయపడవద్దు.

6. And Isaiah sayde vnto them, Thus say vnto your master, Thus saith the Lord, Be not afrayd of the wordes that thou hast heard, wherewith the seruants of the king of Asshur haue blasphemed me.

7. అతనిలో ఒక ఆత్మను నేను పుట్టింతును; వదంతి విని తన దేశమునకు వెళ్లిపోవును. అతని దేశమందు ఖడ్గముచేత అతనిని కూలజేయుదును.

7. Beholde, I wil send a blast vpon him, and he shall heare a noyse, and returne to his owne land, and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his owne land.

8. అష్షూరురాజు లాకీషు పట్టణమును విడిచి వెళ్లి లిబ్నా మీద యుద్ధము చేయుచుండగా రబ్షాకే పోయి అతని కలిసికొనెను.

8. So Rabshakeh returned, and found the King of Asshur fighting against Libnah: for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.

9. అంతట కూషురాజైన తిర్హాకా తన మీద యుద్ధము చేయుటకు వచ్చెనని అష్షూరు రాజునకు వినబడినప్పుడు అతడు హిజ్కియాయొద్దకు దూతలను పంపి యీలాగు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను.

9. He heard also men say of Tirhakah, King of Ethiopia, Beholde, he is come out to fight against thee: and when he heard it, he sent other messengers to Hezekiah, saying,

10. యూదా రాజగు హిజ్కి యాతో ఈలాగు చెప్పుడియెరూషలేము అష్షూరురాజు చేతికి అప్పగింపబడదని చెప్పి నీవు నమ్ముకొనియున్న నీ దేవునిచేత మోసపోకుము.

10. Thus shall ye speake to Hezekiah King of Iudah, saying, Let not thy God deceiue thee, in whom thou trustest, saying, Ierusalem shall not be giuen into the hand of the King of Asshur.

11. అష్షూరురాజులు సకలదేశము లను బొత్తిగా నశింపజేసిన సంగతి నీకు వినబడినది గదా; నీవుమాత్రము తప్పించుకొందువా?

11. Beholde, thou hast heard what the Kings of Asshur haue done to all lands in destroying them, and shalt thou be deliuered?

12. నా పితరులు నిర్మూ లముచేసిన గోజానువారు గాని హారానువారు గాని రెజెపులు గాని తెలశ్శారులోనుండిన ఏదెనీయులు గాని తమ దేవతల సహాయమువలన తప్పించుకొనిరా?

12. Haue the gods of the nations deliuered them, which my fathers haue destroyed? as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden, which were at Telassar?

13. హమాతు రాజు ఏమాయెను? అర్పాదురాజును సెపర్వయీము హేన ఇవ్వా అను పట్టణముల రాజులును ఏమైరి? అని వ్రాసిరి

13. Where is the King of Hamath, and the King of Arpad, and the King of the citie of Sepharuaim, Hena and Iuah?

14. హిజ్కియా దూతలచేతిలోనుండి ఆ ఉత్తరము తీసికొని చదివి యెహోవా మందిరములోనికి పోయి యెహోవా సన్నిధిని దాని విప్పి పరచి

14. So Hezekiah receiued the letter of the hand of the messengers and read it, and he went vp into the House of the Lord, and Hezekiah spread it before the Lord.

15. యెహోవా సన్నిధిని ఇట్లని ప్రార్థనచేసెను

15. And Hezekiah prayed vnto the Lord, saying,

16. యెహోవా, కెరూ బుల మధ్యను నివసించుచున్న ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవా, భూమ్యాకాశములను కలుగజేసిన అద్వితీయ దేవా, నీవు లోకమందున్న సకల రాజ్యములకు దేవుడవై యున్నావు.

16. O Lord of hostes, God of Israel, which dwellest betweene the Cherubims, thou art very God alone ouer all the kingdomes of the earth: thou hast made the heauen and the earth.

17. సైన్యముల కధిపతివగు యెహోవా, చెవి యొగ్గి ఆలకిం చుము; యెహోవా, కన్నులు తెరచి దృష్టించుము; జీవము గల దేవుడవైన నిన్ను దూషించుటకై సన్హెరీబు పంపిన వాని మాటలను చెవినిబెట్టుము.

17. Encline thine eare, O Lord, and heare: open thine eyes, O Lord, and see, and heare all the wordes of Saneherib, who hath sent to blaspheme the liuing God.

18. యెహోవా, అష్షూరు రాజులు ఆ జనములను వారి దేశములను పాడు చేసి

18. Trueth it is, O Lord, that the Kings of Asshur haue destroyed all lands, and their countrey,

19. వారి దేవతలను అగ్నిలో వేసినది నిజమే. ఆ రాజ్యముల దేవతలు నిజమైన దేవుడు కాక మనుష్యులచేత చేయబడిన కఱ్ఱలు రాళ్లు గాని దేవతలు కావు గనుక వారు వారిని నిర్మూలముచేసిరి.

19. And haue cast their gods in ye fire: for they were no gods, but the worke of mans hands, euen wood or stone: therefore they destroyed them.

20. యెహోవా, లోకమందున్న నీవే నిజముగా నీవే అద్వితీయ దేవుడవైన యెహోవా వని సమస్త జనులు తెలిసికొనునట్లు అతని చేతిలోనుండి మమ్మును రక్షించుము.

20. Nowe therefore, O Lord our God, saue thou vs out of his hand, that all the kingdomes of the earth may knowe, that thou onely art the Lord.

21. అంతట ఆమోజు కుమారుడైన యెషయా హిజ్కియా యొద్దకు ఈ వర్తమానము పంపెనుఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవు డగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా అష్షూరు రాజైన సన్హెరీబు విషయమందు నీవు నా యెదుట ప్రార్థన చేసితివే.

21. Then Isaiah the sonne of Amoz sent vnto Hezekiah, saying, Thus sayth the Lord God of Israel, Because thou hast prayed vnto me, concerning Saneherib king of Asshur,

22. అతనిగూర్చి యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుమాట ఏదనగా సీయోను కుమారియైన కన్యక నిన్ను దూషణ చేయు చున్నది ఆమె నిన్ను అపహాస్యము చేయుచున్నది యెరూషలేము కుమారి నిన్ను చూచి తల ఊచు చున్నది.

22. This is the worde that the Lord hath spoken against him, the virgine, the daughter of Zion, hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorne: the daughter of Ierusalem, hath shaken her head at thee.

23. నీవు ఎవరిని తిరస్కరించితివి? ఎవరిని దూషించితివి? నీవు గర్వించి యెవరిని భయపెట్టితివి? ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పరిశుద్ధదేవునినే గదా?

23. Whome hast thou railed on and blasphemed? and against whome hast thou exalted thy voyce, and lifted vp thine eyes on hie? euen against the holy one of Israel.

24. నీ దూతలచేత యెహోవాను తిరస్కరించి నీ వీలాగు పలికితివి నా రథముల సముదాయముతో నేను పర్వత శిఖర ముల మీదికిని లెబానోను పార్శ్వములకును ఎక్కియున్నాను ఎత్తుగల దాని దేవదారు వృక్షములను శ్రేష్ఠమైన సరళవృక్షములను నరికివేసియున్నాను వాని దూరపు సరిహద్దులలోనున్న సత్రములలోనికిని కర్మెలు ఫలవంతములగు క్షేత్రమైన అడవి లోనికిని ప్రవేశించియున్నాను.

24. By thy seruants hast thou railed on the Lord, and sayd, By the multitude of my charets I am come vp to the top of the mountaines to the sides of Lebanon, and will cut downe the hie cedars thereof, and the faire firre trees thereof, and I will goe vp to the heightes of his top and to the forest of his fruitfull places.

25. నేను త్రవ్వి నీళ్లు పానముచేసియున్నాను నా అరకాలిచేత నేను దిట్టమైన స్థలముల నదుల నన్నిటిని ఎండిపోచేసియున్నాను

25. I haue digged and drunke the waters, and with the plant of my feete haue I dryed all the riuers closed in.

26. నేనే పూర్వమందే దీని కలుగజేసితిననియు పురాతన కాలమందే దీని నిర్ణయించితిననియు నీకు వినబడలేదా? ప్రాకారములుగల పట్టణములను నీవు పాడు దిబ్బలుగా చేయుట నా వలననే సంభవించినది.

26. Hast thou not heard howe I haue of olde time made it, and haue formed it long ago? and should I now bring it, that it should be destroyed, and layde on ruinous heapes, as cities defensed?

27. కాబట్టి వాటి కాపురస్థులు బలహీనులై జడిసిరి. విభ్రాంతినొంది పొలములోని గడ్డివలెను కాడవేయని చేలవలెను అయిరి.

27. Whose inhabitants haue small power, and are afrayd and confounded: they are like the grasse of the field and greene herbe, or grasse on the house tops, or corne blassed afore it be growen.

28. నీవు కూర్చుండుటయు బయలువెళ్లుటయు లోపలికి వచ్చుటయు నామీదవేయు రంకెలును నాకు తెలిసేయున్నవి.

28. But I know thy dwelling, and thy going out, and thy comming in, and thy fury against me.

29. నామీద నీవు వేయు రంకెలును నీవు చేసిన కలహమును నా చెవులలో జొచ్చెను నా గాలము నీ ముక్కునకు తగిలించెదను నా కళ్లెము నీ నోటిలో పెట్టి నిన్ను మళ్లించెదను నీవు వచ్చిన మార్గముననే నిన్ను మళ్లించెదను.

29. Because thou ragest against me, and thy tumult is come vnto mine eares, therefore will I put mine hooke in thy nostrels, and my bridle in thy lips, and wil bring thee backe againe the same way thou camest.

30. మరియు యెషయా చెప్పినదేమనగాహిజ్కియా, నీకిదే సూచనయగును. ఈ సంవత్సరమందు దాని అంతట అదే పండు ధాన్యమును, రెండవ సంవత్సరమందు దానినుండి కలుగు ధాన్యమును మీరు భుజింతురు. మూడవ సంవత్సరమున మీరు విత్తనము విత్తి చేలు కోయుదురు; ద్రాక్షతోటలు నాటి వాటిఫలము ననుభవించుదురు.

30. And this shalbe a signe vnto thee, O Hezekiah, Thou shalt eate this yeere such as groweth of it selfe: and the second yeere, such things as growe without sowing: and in the third yeere, sowe ye and reape, and plant vineyards, and eate the fruite thereof.

31. యూదా వంశములో తప్పించు కొనిన శేషము ఇంకను క్రిందికి వేరు తన్ని మీదికి ఎదిగి ఫలించును.

31. And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Iudah, shall againe take roote downward and beare fruite vpward.

32. శేషించు వారు యెరూషలేములో నుండి బయలుదేరుదురు, తప్పించు కొనినవారు సీయోను కొండలోనుండి బయలుదేరుదురు; సైన్య ములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఆసక్తి దీని నెర వేర్చును.

32. For out of Ierusalem shall goe a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeale of the Lord of hostes shall doe this.

33. కాబట్టి అష్షూరురాజునుగూర్చి యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చున దేమనగా అతడు ఈ పట్టణములోనికి రాడు; దానిమీద ఒక బాణమైన ప్రయోగింపడు; ఒక కేడెము నైన దానికి కనుపరచడు; దానియెదుట ముట్టడి దిబ్బ కట్టడు.

33. Therefore thus sayth the Lord, concerning the King of Asshur, He shall not enter into this citie, nor shoote an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a mount against it.

34. ఈ పట్టణము లోపలికి రాక తాను వచ్చిన మార్గముననే అతడు తిరిగి పోవును; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

34. By the same way that he came, he shall returne, and not come into this citie, saith the Lord.

35. నా నిమిత్తమును నా సేవకుడైన దావీదు నిమిత్తమును నేను ఈ పట్టణమును కాపాడి రక్షించుదును.

35. For I will defend this citie to saue it, for mine owne sake, and for my seruant Dauids sake.

36. అంతట యెహోవా దూత బయలుదేరి అష్షూరువారి దండు పేటలో లక్ష యెనుబదియైదువేలమందిని మొత్తెను; ఉదయమున జనులు లేవగా వారందరును మృతకళేబరములుగా ఉండిరి.

36. Then the Angel of the Lord went out, and smote in the campe of Asshur an hundreth, fourescore, and fiue thousand: so when they arose early in the morning, beholde, they were all dead corpses.

37. అష్షూరురాజైన సన్హెరీబు తిరిగిపోయి నీనెవె పట్టణమునకు వచ్చి నివసించిన తరువాత

37. So Saneherib king of Asshur departed, and went away and returned and dwelt at Nineueh.

38. అతడు నిస్రోకు అను తన దేవత మందిరమందు మ్రొక్కు చుండగా అతని కుమారులైన అద్రమ్మెలెకును షెరెజెరును ఖడ్గముతో అతని చంపి ఆరారాతుదేశములోనికి తప్పించు కొనిపోయిరి. అప్పుడు అతని కుమారుడైన ఎసర్హద్దోను అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

38. And as he was in the temple worshipping of Nisroch his god, Adramelech and Sharezer his sonnes slewe him with the sword, and they escaped into the land of Ararat: and Esarhaddon his sonne reigned in his steade.
