1. హిజ్కియా విని తన బట్టలు చింపుకొని గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొని యెహోవా మందిరమునకుపోయి

1. When King Hezekiah heard the report, he also tore his clothes and dressed in rough, penitential burlap gunnysacks, and went into the sanctuary of GOD.

2. గృహ నిర్వాహకుడగు ఎల్యాకీమును, శాస్త్రియగు షెబ్నాను, యాజకులలో పెద్దలను, ఆమోజు కుమారుడును ప్రవక్తయు నైన యెషయాయొద్దకు పంపెను.

2. He sent Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the secretary, and the senior priests, all of them also dressed in penitential burlap, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz.

3. వీరు గోనెపట్ట కట్టు కొనినవారై అతనియొద్దకు వచ్చి అతనితో ఇట్లనిరిహిజ్కియా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగాఈ దినము శ్రమయు శిక్షయు దూషణయు గల దినము, పిల్లలు పుట్టవచ్చిరి గాని కనుటకు శక్తి చాలదు.

3. They said to him, 'Hezekiah says, 'This is a black day. We're in crisis. We're like pregnant women without even the strength to have a baby!

4. జీవముగల దేవుని దూషించు టకై అష్షూరురాజైన తన యజమానునిచేత పంపబడిన రబ్షాకే పలికిన మాటలు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఒకవేళ ఆలకించి, నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు వినబడియున్న ఆ మాటలనుబట్టి ఆయన అష్షూరురాజును గద్దించునేమో. కాబట్టి నిలిచిన శేషముకొరకు నీవు హెచ్చుగా ప్రార్థన చేయుము.

4. Do you think your GOD heard what the Rabshekah said, sent by his master the king of Assyria to mock the living God? And do you think your GOD will do anything about it? Pray for us, Isaiah. Pray for those of us left here holding the fort!''

5. రాజైన హిజ్కియా సేవకులు యెషయా యొద్దకు రాగా

5. Then King Hezekiah's servants came to Isaiah.

6. యెషయా వారితో ఇట్లనెనుమీ యజమానునికి ఈ మాట తెలియజేయుడి; యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా అష్షూరురాజు సేవకులు నన్ను దూషింపగా నీవు వినిన మాటలకు భయపడవద్దు.

6. Isaiah said, 'Tell your master this: 'GOD's Message: Don't be upset by what you've heard, all those words the servants of the Assyrian king have used to mock me.

7. అతనిలో ఒక ఆత్మను నేను పుట్టింతును; వదంతి విని తన దేశమునకు వెళ్లిపోవును. అతని దేశమందు ఖడ్గముచేత అతనిని కూలజేయుదును.

7. I personally will take care of him. I'll arrange it so that he'll get a rumor of bad news back home and rush home to take care of it. And he'll die there. Killed--a violent death.''

8. అష్షూరురాజు లాకీషు పట్టణమును విడిచి వెళ్లి లిబ్నా మీద యుద్ధము చేయుచుండగా రబ్షాకే పోయి అతని కలిసికొనెను.

8. The Rabshekah left and found the king of Assyria fighting against Libnah. (He had gotten word that the king had left Lachish.)

9. అంతట కూషురాజైన తిర్హాకా తన మీద యుద్ధము చేయుటకు వచ్చెనని అష్షూరు రాజునకు వినబడినప్పుడు అతడు హిజ్కియాయొద్దకు దూతలను పంపి యీలాగు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను.

9. Just then the Assyrian king received an intelligence report on King Tirhakah of Ethiopia: 'He is on his way to make war on you.' On hearing that, he sent messengers to Hezekiah with instructions to deliver this message:

10. యూదా రాజగు హిజ్కి యాతో ఈలాగు చెప్పుడియెరూషలేము అష్షూరురాజు చేతికి అప్పగింపబడదని చెప్పి నీవు నమ్ముకొనియున్న నీ దేవునిచేత మోసపోకుము.

10. 'Don't let your GOD, on whom you so naively lean, deceive you, promising that Jerusalem won't fall to the king of Assyria.

11. అష్షూరురాజులు సకలదేశము లను బొత్తిగా నశింపజేసిన సంగతి నీకు వినబడినది గదా; నీవుమాత్రము తప్పించుకొందువా?

11. Use your head! Look around at what the kings of Assyria have done all over the world--one country after another devastated! And do you think you're going to get off?

12. నా పితరులు నిర్మూ లముచేసిన గోజానువారు గాని హారానువారు గాని రెజెపులు గాని తెలశ్శారులోనుండిన ఏదెనీయులు గాని తమ దేవతల సహాయమువలన తప్పించుకొనిరా?

12. Have any of the gods of any of these countries ever stepped in and saved them, even one of these nations my predecessors destroyed--Gozan, Haran, Rezeph, and the people of Eden who lived in Telassar?

13. హమాతు రాజు ఏమాయెను? అర్పాదురాజును సెపర్వయీము హేన ఇవ్వా అను పట్టణముల రాజులును ఏమైరి? అని వ్రాసిరి

13. Look around. Do you see anything left of the king of Hamath, the king of Arpad, the king of the city of Sepharvaim, the king of Hena, the king of Ivvah?'

14. హిజ్కియా దూతలచేతిలోనుండి ఆ ఉత్తరము తీసికొని చదివి యెహోవా మందిరములోనికి పోయి యెహోవా సన్నిధిని దాని విప్పి పరచి

14. Hezekiah took the letter from the hands of the messengers and read it. Then he went into the sanctuary of GOD and spread the letter out before GOD.

15. యెహోవా సన్నిధిని ఇట్లని ప్రార్థనచేసెను

15. Then Hezekiah prayed to GOD:

16. యెహోవా, కెరూ బుల మధ్యను నివసించుచున్న ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవా, భూమ్యాకాశములను కలుగజేసిన అద్వితీయ దేవా, నీవు లోకమందున్న సకల రాజ్యములకు దేవుడవై యున్నావు.

16. 'GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies, enthroned over the cherubim-angels, you are God, the only God there is, God of all kingdoms on earth. You made heaven and earth.

17. సైన్యముల కధిపతివగు యెహోవా, చెవి యొగ్గి ఆలకిం చుము; యెహోవా, కన్నులు తెరచి దృష్టించుము; జీవము గల దేవుడవైన నిన్ను దూషించుటకై సన్హెరీబు పంపిన వాని మాటలను చెవినిబెట్టుము.

17. Listen, O GOD, and hear. Look, O GOD, and see. Mark all these words of Sennacherib that he sent to mock the living God.

18. యెహోవా, అష్షూరు రాజులు ఆ జనములను వారి దేశములను పాడు చేసి

18. It's quite true, O GOD, that the kings of Assyria have devastated all the nations and their lands.

19. వారి దేవతలను అగ్నిలో వేసినది నిజమే. ఆ రాజ్యముల దేవతలు నిజమైన దేవుడు కాక మనుష్యులచేత చేయబడిన కఱ్ఱలు రాళ్లు గాని దేవతలు కావు గనుక వారు వారిని నిర్మూలముచేసిరి.

19. They've thrown their gods into the trash and burned them--no great achievement since they were no-gods anyway, gods made in workshops, carved from wood and chiseled from rock. An end to the no-gods!

20. యెహోవా, లోకమందున్న నీవే నిజముగా నీవే అద్వితీయ దేవుడవైన యెహోవా వని సమస్త జనులు తెలిసికొనునట్లు అతని చేతిలోనుండి మమ్మును రక్షించుము.

20. But now step in, O GOD, our God. Save us from him. Let all the kingdoms of earth know that you and you alone are GOD.'

21. అంతట ఆమోజు కుమారుడైన యెషయా హిజ్కియా యొద్దకు ఈ వర్తమానము పంపెనుఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవు డగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా అష్షూరు రాజైన సన్హెరీబు విషయమందు నీవు నా యెదుట ప్రార్థన చేసితివే.

21. Then Isaiah son of Amoz sent this word to Hezekiah: 'GOD's Message, the God of Israel: Because you brought King Sennacherib of Assyria to me in prayer,

22. అతనిగూర్చి యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుమాట ఏదనగా సీయోను కుమారియైన కన్యక నిన్ను దూషణ చేయు చున్నది ఆమె నిన్ను అపహాస్యము చేయుచున్నది యెరూషలేము కుమారి నిన్ను చూచి తల ఊచు చున్నది.

22. here is my answer, GOD's answer: ''She has no use for you, Sennacherib, nothing but contempt, this virgin daughter Zion. She spits at you and turns on her heel, this daughter Jerusalem.

23. నీవు ఎవరిని తిరస్కరించితివి? ఎవరిని దూషించితివి? నీవు గర్వించి యెవరిని భయపెట్టితివి? ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పరిశుద్ధదేవునినే గదా?

23. ''Who do you think you've been mocking and reviling all these years? Who do you think you've been jeering and treating with such utter contempt All these years? The Holy of Israel!

24. నీ దూతలచేత యెహోవాను తిరస్కరించి నీ వీలాగు పలికితివి నా రథముల సముదాయముతో నేను పర్వత శిఖర ముల మీదికిని లెబానోను పార్శ్వములకును ఎక్కియున్నాను ఎత్తుగల దాని దేవదారు వృక్షములను శ్రేష్ఠమైన సరళవృక్షములను నరికివేసియున్నాను వాని దూరపు సరిహద్దులలోనున్న సత్రములలోనికిని కర్మెలు ఫలవంతములగు క్షేత్రమైన అడవి లోనికిని ప్రవేశించియున్నాను.

24. You've used your servants to mock the Master. You've bragged, 'With my fleet of chariots I've gone to the highest mountain ranges, penetrated the far reaches of Lebanon, Chopped down its giant cedars, its finest cypresses. I conquered its highest peak, explored its deepest forest.

25. నేను త్రవ్వి నీళ్లు పానముచేసియున్నాను నా అరకాలిచేత నేను దిట్టమైన స్థలముల నదుల నన్నిటిని ఎండిపోచేసియున్నాను

25. I dug wells and drank my fill. I emptied the famous rivers of Egypt with one kick of my foot.

26. నేనే పూర్వమందే దీని కలుగజేసితిననియు పురాతన కాలమందే దీని నిర్ణయించితిననియు నీకు వినబడలేదా? ప్రాకారములుగల పట్టణములను నీవు పాడు దిబ్బలుగా చేయుట నా వలననే సంభవించినది.

26. ''Haven't you gotten the news that I've been behind this all along? This is a longstanding plan of mine and I'm just now making it happen, using you to devastate strong cities, turning them into piles of rubble

27. కాబట్టి వాటి కాపురస్థులు బలహీనులై జడిసిరి. విభ్రాంతినొంది పొలములోని గడ్డివలెను కాడవేయని చేలవలెను అయిరి.

27. and leaving their citizens helpless, bewildered, and confused, drooping like unwatered plants, stunted like withered seedlings.

28. నీవు కూర్చుండుటయు బయలువెళ్లుటయు లోపలికి వచ్చుటయు నామీదవేయు రంకెలును నాకు తెలిసేయున్నవి.

28. ''I know all about your pretentious poses, your officious comings and goings, and, yes, the tantrums you throw against me.

29. నామీద నీవు వేయు రంకెలును నీవు చేసిన కలహమును నా చెవులలో జొచ్చెను నా గాలము నీ ముక్కునకు తగిలించెదను నా కళ్లెము నీ నోటిలో పెట్టి నిన్ను మళ్లించెదను నీవు వచ్చిన మార్గముననే నిన్ను మళ్లించెదను.

29. Because of all your wild raging against me, your unbridled arrogance that I keep hearing of, I'll put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth. I'll show you who's boss. I'll turn you around and take you back to where you came from.

30. మరియు యెషయా చెప్పినదేమనగాహిజ్కియా, నీకిదే సూచనయగును. ఈ సంవత్సరమందు దాని అంతట అదే పండు ధాన్యమును, రెండవ సంవత్సరమందు దానినుండి కలుగు ధాన్యమును మీరు భుజింతురు. మూడవ సంవత్సరమున మీరు విత్తనము విత్తి చేలు కోయుదురు; ద్రాక్షతోటలు నాటి వాటిఫలము ననుభవించుదురు.

30. ''And this, Hezekiah, will be your confirming sign: This year's crops will be slim pickings, and next year it won't be much better. But in three years, farming will be back to normal, with regular sowing and reaping, planting and harvesting.

31. యూదా వంశములో తప్పించు కొనిన శేషము ఇంకను క్రిందికి వేరు తన్ని మీదికి ఎదిగి ఫలించును.

31. What's left of the people of Judah will put down roots and make a new start.

32. శేషించు వారు యెరూషలేములో నుండి బయలుదేరుదురు, తప్పించు కొనినవారు సీయోను కొండలోనుండి బయలుదేరుదురు; సైన్య ములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఆసక్తి దీని నెర వేర్చును.

32. The people left in Jerusalem will get moving again. Mount Zion survivors will take hold again. The zeal of GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies will do all this.'

33. కాబట్టి అష్షూరురాజునుగూర్చి యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చున దేమనగా అతడు ఈ పట్టణములోనికి రాడు; దానిమీద ఒక బాణమైన ప్రయోగింపడు; ఒక కేడెము నైన దానికి కనుపరచడు; దానియెదుట ముట్టడి దిబ్బ కట్టడు.

33. 'Finally, this is GOD's verdict on the king of Assyria: ''Don't worry, he won't enter this city, won't let loose a single arrow, Won't brandish so much as one shield, let alone build a siege ramp against it.

34. ఈ పట్టణము లోపలికి రాక తాను వచ్చిన మార్గముననే అతడు తిరిగి పోవును; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

34. He'll go back the same way he came. He won't set a foot in this city. GOD's Decree.

35. నా నిమిత్తమును నా సేవకుడైన దావీదు నిమిత్తమును నేను ఈ పట్టణమును కాపాడి రక్షించుదును.

35. I've got my hand on this city to save it, Save it for my very own sake, but also for the sake of my David dynasty.''

36. అంతట యెహోవా దూత బయలుదేరి అష్షూరువారి దండు పేటలో లక్ష యెనుబదియైదువేలమందిని మొత్తెను; ఉదయమున జనులు లేవగా వారందరును మృతకళేబరములుగా ఉండిరి.

36. Then the Angel of GOD arrived and struck the Assyrian camp--185,000 Assyrians died. By the time the sun came up, they were all dead--an army of corpses!

37. అష్షూరురాజైన సన్హెరీబు తిరిగిపోయి నీనెవె పట్టణమునకు వచ్చి నివసించిన తరువాత

37. Sennacherib, king of Assyria, got out of there fast, back home to Nineveh.

38. అతడు నిస్రోకు అను తన దేవత మందిరమందు మ్రొక్కు చుండగా అతని కుమారులైన అద్రమ్మెలెకును షెరెజెరును ఖడ్గముతో అతని చంపి ఆరారాతుదేశములోనికి తప్పించు కొనిపోయిరి. అప్పుడు అతని కుమారుడైన ఎసర్హద్దోను అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

38. As he was worshiping in the sanctuary of his god Nisroch, he was murdered by his sons Adrammelech and Sharezer. They escaped to the land of Ararat. His son Esar-haddon became the next king.
