1. ఆ కాలమందు బబులోనురాజును బలదాను కుమారుడునైన మెరోదక్బలదాను హిజ్కియా రోగియై బాగు పడిన సంగతి విని పత్రికలను కానుకను అతని యొద్దకు పంపగా

1. At that time Merodach-Baladan, the son of Baladan, the king of Babylon, sent letters and ambassadors and gifts to Hezekiah; for he had heard that he had been sick, [even] unto death, and had recovered.

2. హిజ్కియా దూతలు వచ్చిన మాట విని వారిని లోపలికి రప్పించి, తన యింటనేమి రాజ్యమందేమి కలిగిన సమస్తవస్తువులలో దేనిని మరుగు చేయక తన పదార్థములు గల కొట్టును వెండి బంగారములను గంధవర్గములను పరిమళ తైలమును ఆయుధశాలను తన పదార్థములలో నున్న సమస్తమును వారికి చూపించెను.

2. And Hezekiah was pleased that they came, and he showed them the house of [his] spices, and of silver, gold, myrrh, incense, ointment, and all the houses of his treasures, and all that he had in his stores. And there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, which Hezekiah did not show [them].

3. పిమ్మట ప్రవక్తయైన యెషయా రాజైన హిజ్కియాయొద్దకు వచ్చి - ఆ మనుష్యులు ఏమనిరి? నీయొద్దకు ఎక్కడనుండి వచ్చిరి? అని యడుగగా హిజ్కియాబబులోనను దూరదేశమునుండి వారు వచ్చియున్నారని చెప్పెను.

3. And Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezekiah, and said to him, What did these men say, and from where did they come to you? And Hezekiah said, They have come to me from a land afar off, from Babylon.

4. నీ యింట వారేమేమి చూచిరని అతడడుగగా హిజ్కియా - నా పదార్థములలో దేనిని మరుగుచేయక నా యింటనున్న సమస్తమును నేను వారికి చూపించియున్నాననెను.

4. And Isaiah said, What have they seen in your house? And Hezekiah said, They have seen everything in my house; and there is nothing in my house which they have not seen, even all the [possessions] in my treasuries.

5. అంతట యెషయా హిజ్కియాతో నిట్లనెనుయెహోవా సెలవిచ్చు మాట వినుము

5. And Isaiah said to him, Hear the word of the Lord of hosts:

6. రాబోవు దినములలో ఏమియు మిగులకుండ నీ యింటనున్న సమస్తమును, నేటివరకు నీ పితరులు సమ కూర్చి దాచిపెట్టినది అంతయును బబులోను పట్టణమునకు ఎత్తికొని పోవుదురని సైన్యముల కధిపతియగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు.

6. Behold, the days are coming when they shall take all the [things that are] in your house, and all that your fathers have gathered until this day, [and they] shall go to Babylon, and they shall not leave one thing. And God said,

7. మరియు నీ గర్భమందు పుట్టిన నీ పుత్రసంతును బబులోను రాజు నగరునందు నపుంసకులగా చేయుటకై వారు తీసికొనిపోవుదురు.

7. They shall also take of your children whom you shall beget; and they shall make them eunuchs in the house of the king of the Babylonians.

8. అందుకు హిజ్కియా - నీవు తెలియజేసిన యెహోవాఆజ్ఞ చొప్పున జరుగుట మేలే; నా దినములలో సమాధాన సత్యములు కలుగునుగాక అని యెషయాతో అనెను.

8. And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, The word of the Lord is good, which He has spoken; let there be peace and righteousness in my days.
